Solar energy has gained increasing importance in today's world and become a viable primary energy source in the recent decade. Solar radiation obtained by the solar surface is highly affected by its orientation, azimuth, and tilt angles. Therefore, in this study, the performances of the fixed-axis system, one-axis, and two-axis solar tracking systems are investigated to enable maximal solar radiation in solar systems to be installed in Antalya by using climatic and latitude data provided by NASA. Furthermore, the optimal tilt angles are determined by examining the values of angles for which the total solar radiation falling on the tilted surface is maximal. The case study and measurement data investigations are conducted for the four districts of Antalya. The obtained radiation values throughout the year for one-axis and two-axis solar tracking systems are compared to an annual fixed system for evaluating the existing solar potential in Antalya province. Besides all these, solar system cost analyses including the average payback period for residential, commercial, and large-scale solar systems based on LCOE are investigated. The proposed methodology can be implemented for performance and cost analysis of the solar potential in a certain location of Türkiye and extended to any place in the world.

This study aimed to investigate the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) anxiety on multi-dimensional 21st-century skills and lifelong learning among undergraduates. A quantitative method using a correlational research model was used to examine the relationships between AI anxiety, 21st-century skills, and lifelong learning levels, considering various demographic and educational variables. Data were collected from undergraduates in educational faculty programs in Kyrenia, Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) during the 2023-2024 academic year. Findings revealed a moderate level of AI anxiety among students, a strong perception of possessing relevant 21st-century skills, and a moderate recognition of the importance of lifelong learning. Significant differences in AI anxiety were observed based on gender, with females reporting higher anxiety levels. Age, country of origin, university, faculty program, class level, GPA, use of AI-based products or services, and daily internet use for professional development also influenced students' 21st-century skills and lifelong learning levels. No significant correlations were found between AI anxiety and the other constructs, while a moderate positive correlation was identified between 21st-century skills and lifelong learning. These findings emphasize the importance of fostering 21st-century skills for lifelong learning and suggest that AI anxiety may not significantly impact students' skill acquisition or learning behaviours.

Aim of the study: To determine the parenchymal vascularity of the thyroid gland with color superb microvascular imaging in patients with Graves’ disease, and compare the vascularization index values with healthy subjects. Materials and methods: The thyroid glands of 37 patients whose laboratory and clinical findings were consistent with Graves’ disease, and 40 asymptomatic subjects with normal laboratory values, were examined using color superb microvascular imaging. Measurements of the vascularization index were performed with a free region of interest which was drawn along the outer margin of the gland on the color superb microvascular imaging mode. The vascularization index values obtained in the Graves’ disease and control groups were compared. A correlation analysis was performed between the vascularization index values and laboratory and grayscale US parameters. Since it has become necessary for each individual to be statistically literate, statistical education research has taken teachers' competencies into its agenda. The knowledge needed to teach statistics differs from the knowledge needed to teach mathematics since statistics is different from mathematics. Teachers and researchers need to consider these differences and be aware of the challenges of statistics teaching. This article focuses on the nature of statistical knowledge for teaching (SKT). Models of conceptualizing and measuring SKT from research literature were reviewed critically. The strengths and weaknesses of models were discussed. The article concludes with some implications for teacher education and research.

Tenderness is an important indicator of meat quality, degradation plays important role during the maturation, therefore improving meat quality and tenderness. Understanding the process of myofibrillar and which enzymes affect degradation is more needed to prove. In this study we used longest muscle of Bashibai sheep of Xinjiang as the experiment material. The isolated myofibrillar protein and μ-calpains are incubated at 4°C about 1, 3, 7, 14, and 21 days using in vitro culture method and analysed by SDS-PAGE, Western blotting. Results showed that μ-calpain can improve the degradation of some myofibrillar proteins. Desmin was degraded by the 3rd, troponin-T was completely degraded by the 7th day.

Diagnostic performance of Diffusion-Weighted magnetic resonance Imaging (DWI) and Multi-Detector Computed Tomography (MDCT) for TNM (Tumor, Lymph node, Metastasis) staging of gastric cancer was compared.

The present study aimed to determine whether using culture-themed documentaries in Turkish teaching of B2 level international students has effects on the development of guided writing skills. The study had an action-research design, which is one of the qualitative study approaches. The study group consisted of 12 international students at the B2 level who learned Turkish in the 2022-2023 academic year at the Turkish Teaching Application and Research Center of a state university in Turkey. The data collection process was performed under two headings as "developing an action plan" and "implementing the action plan". During the developing an action plan stage, the themes and documentaries to be used in the activities were determined by receiving the opinions of the experts. In the next step, guided writing activities were prepared in line with the writing acquisitions by consulting experts. The pilot applications of the activities were performed at the Turkish Teaching Application and Research Center of a state university in Turkey. Quantitative and qualitative data collection tools were used and the developmental status of the students was monitored to interpret how the guided writing skill activities developed in the classroom environment progressed. The worksheets of the students were evaluated by using the "Guided Writing Scoring Key", which was developed by the researchers. Students' pre-test, application order, post-test, and permanency scores were determined with this key. Based on the findings obtained in the study, it was concluded that using culture-themed documentaries in Turkish teaching of international students improved the guided writing skill levels of the students.

This longitudinal research was conducted in Girne American University, Faculty of Education during the pandemic process by means of a qualitative multiple case study with semi-structured questions through online forms with a purposefully selected study group of 143 undergraduates between 2020-2022 academic years. The two phase research had 75 participants in the first phase and 68 in the second one. The interview questions were first applied to a randomly selected pilot group consisted of 13 participants that are exempted from the research. Content analysis was utilized in the data set in order to have a deep understanding of the findings. Findings revealed that most of the students did not have an online education experience before, but their competency levels were stated to be positive and they are quite satisfied from the distance education applications. Internet quality is found to be the major obstacle, Zoom to be the most used platform. Evaluation and communication problems are found to be at the center of negative attitudes. Even if there are both positive and negative attitudes towards the future preferences, a combination of face to face and online sessions seem to be accepted by the participants.

The main target of language training is to help students acquire proficiency in reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills. Each language skill is complementary to the other in nature. As one of these skills, writing is based on narration. Through writing studies, the level of progression of the listening, speaking, and reading skills of the students can be objectively monitored. Therefore, writing studies should be emphasized as much as other language skills. This study aims to conduct a literature review about the outcomes of writing proficiency. In this qualitative study, the relevant parts of the literature were reviewed, and B2 level writing skill outcomes were compiled. The writing skill outcomes obtained as the result of the literature review were categorized and were classified as "the national level writing skill outcomes list for B2 level", "the international level writing skill outcomes list for B2 level," and "the writing outcomes, reduced to 11 items as the result of the literature review" after obtaining the relevant expert opinion. At the final stage of the study, the outcomes were submitted to the review of 3 experts in the field by using the "Writing Outcomes Compliance Assessment Form." After the feedback was received from the experts, a total of eight writing skill outcomes for B2 level, indicated in List 4, were generated. The obtained outcomes were submitted to the literature to contribute to the field.

The purpose of the present study is to determine the effectiveness of creative narrative technique on students' listening comprehension skills. The current study employed action research. The study group consists of 21 second grade students, six of whom were refugee students, at second grades in the school chosen through convenience sampling. In the study, the activities were conducted through 4 tales from Aesop Tales. It has been observed that creative narrative technique fosters students' listening comprehension skills. Through the technique, students were able to adapt the place, plot, time, characters and topic of the tales they listened into daily life. The technique helps students make interdisciplinary correlations in consistency with the philosophy of constructivist learning and to improve their creative writing skills. It has been concluded that creative narrative technique enhances students' listening and creative writing skills.

Literacy is a term generally used for adults and young people. Basically, it is an acquisition that includes the process of reading, writing and understanding symbols in any language. While this concept, whose definition and scope has expanded over time, refers to people who can only say their names in the past, today it refers to individuals who can perform more functional skills. What is expected from today's literacy, which is also referred to as functional literacy, is not just saying the name, but also understanding what you read and harmonizing these information with the environment. It is critical to create texts that are easier to interpret, especially for poor readers and individuals learning foreign languages, in today's world where reading comprehension and correct use of information have become extremely important. In this context, the text simplification method, which is one of the text modification methods, comes to the fore. In accordance with these information, this current study aims to presents the bibliometric analysis of articles on text simplification, which are published in journals indexed in Scopus database in the field of social sciences. The data set of the study consists of 194 articles on text simplification published in journals scanned in the field of social sciences and scopus database. These 194 articles were examined in terms of different variables. The research is generally a descriptive study and document analysis method was used as a method. In the data analysis stage of the research, VOSviewer visualization software version 1.6.16 was used. According to the results obtained from the study, the most articles on text simplification were written in 2020 (f: 21), most cited article is "Interpretation as Abduction" (f: 363) written by J.R Hobbs, M.E Stickel, D.E. Appelt and P. Martin. Findings obtained from the research were shared in the form of tables, graphs and figures. The most common keywords that preffered by authors is "Simplification" (f: 18).
