It is shown that an excess of Dy in A‐site (in amount of 0.2 in formula units) allows synthesizing a single‐phase perovskite‐related oxide with the 123‐type structure at 1100 °C in air. Cobalt ions completely fill the octahedrally coordinated positions in the structure of 123‐type Dy1.2Ba1.8Fe1.8Co1.2O8‐δ, while iron together with excess Co is in the pyramidal oxygen coordination. The oxygen content at room temperature of 7.86 decreases with temperature. A slight increase in the slope of thermal expansion observed at T >200 °C. The electrical conductivity, carried out mainly by holes, increases non‐linearly with temperature, reaching a maximum value 14.8 S ⋅ cm−1 at 900 °C. Magnetic measurements allow assuming that Fe3+ are in low spin state, all Co2+ ions are in high spin, and Co3+ can be split into several states depending on coordination. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Объектом исследования являются сложные оксиды, образующихся в системе ½ Dy2O3 – BaO – ½ Fe2O3 и производные, полученные на их основе. В работе был проведен синтез сложных оксидов, рентгенофазовый анализ всех синтезированных образцов. Зависимость кислородной нестехиометрии от температуры была изучена методами йодометрического титрования и высокотемпературной термогравиметрии. Для кобальт-замещенного сложного оксида было изучено линейное термическое расширение, общая электропроводность и магнитные свойства. Предложен изобарно-изотермический разрез фазовой диаграммы ½ Dy2O3 – BaO – ½ Fe2O3 при 1100 °С на воздухе. The object of the study is the complex oxides formed in the ½ Dy2O3– BaO – ½ Fe2O3 system and the samples obtained based on these phases. Synthesis of complex oxides and X-ray analysis of all synthesized samples has been performed. The changes of oxygen content in the solid solutions were measured by thermogravimetric analysis and iodometric titration as a function of temperature. Thermal expansion, total electrical conductivity, and magnetic properties were studied for the cobalt substituted complex oxide. A subsolidus isothermal isobaric phase diagram (1100 °C, in air) for the ½ Dy2O3 – BaO – ½ Fe2O3 system has been constructed.

- Abstract
Background On festive days worldwide eyes are severely injured by fireworks. The data on the number and severity are to date not registered in Germany. Objective How frequent are firework-induced injuries in Germany, who are the affected, how serious are the injuries, which forms of treatment are necessary and how frequent are accompanying injuries? Method A German nationwide online-based survey was carried out in all inpatient eye departments and data over the last 3 consecutive years were descriptively analyzed. Results From New Years Eve 2016/2017, when 41 eye departments sent in data, the participation could be increased to 51 eye departments in 2018/2019. More than one third (33-39%) of all 1356 patients over 3 years were minors, 60% were younger than 25 years old and roughly 60% of patients were injured as bystanders or in an unclear situation. In total 25% of all eye injuries were considered severe and required inpatient treatment. Accompanying injuries of the other eye, the face and hands were more frequent in minors than in adults. Eyeball ruptures were reported in 10 minors and 38 adults over the 3 years. Conclusion Particularly minors and bystanders need better protection.
