A novel green synthesis of cellulose/Ag nanocomposites (Cell/XTLL Ag NCs) with in situ generated silver nanoparticles using Xenostegia tridentata (L.) leaf extracts (XTLL). The synthesized nanocomposites have been appreciably characterized by SEM, TEM, FT-IR, XRD, UV-Vis spectrometer, AFM, DRS, XPS, TGA, and ICP-OES. The Ag nanoparticles found for the Cell/XTLL 60 mM AgNO3 have an average particle size of 33.78 nm. Moreover, Cell/XTLL Ag NC film, prepared with 60 mM AgNO3, suggests greater antioxidant activity. The most potent cell/XTLL 60 mM AgNO3 against Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Trichoderma viride, and Fusarium oxysporum has strong antimicrobial activity and the best antimicrobial properties due to the fact that because the concentration of AgNO3 solution increased, the zone of inhibition additionally accelerated. The present study aimed to evaluate the effects of chrysoeriol from Cardiospermum halicacabum in streptozotocin induced Wistar rats. Thirty rats were categorized as control, diabetic control supplemented with 0, 20 mg/kg chrysoeriol and 600 μg/kg BW of glibenclamide for 45-day trial period. Our results indicated that the inclusion of chrysoeriol (20 mg/kg), showed a significant reduction in plasma glucose, hemoglobin and glycosylated hemoglobin level with a rising of plasma insulin sensitivity. Further, downregulated enzymes including glucose 6-phosphatase, fructose 1,6-bisphosphatase, and glycogen phosphorylase as well upregulated enzymes such as hexokinase, glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase, pyruvate kinase, and hepatic glycogen content. There was a diminish action found in liver glycogen synthase of tested rat with a rise in gamma-glutamyl transpeptidase, towards normal levels upon treatment with chrysoeriol. The histopathological study confirmed that renewal of the beta cells of pancreatic of chrysoeriol and glibenclamide treated rats. Human papillomaviruses (HPVs) are small, non-enveloped, double-stranded DNA viruses that infect epithelial tissues. Specific genotypes of human papillomavirus are the single most common etiological agents of cervical intraepithelial lesions and cervical cancer. Cervical cancer usually arises at squamous metaplastic epithelium of transformation zone (TZ) of the cervix featuring infection with one or more oncogenic or high-risk HPV (HR- HPV) types. A hospital- based study in a rural set up was carried out to understand the association of HR-HPV with squamous intraepithelial lesions (SILs) and cervical cancer. In the present study, HR-HPV was detected in 65.7% of low-grade squamous intraepithelial lesions (LSILs), 84.6% of high-grade squamous intraepithelial lesions (HSILs) and 94% of cervical cancer as compared to 10.7% of controls. The association of HPV infection with SIL and cervical cancer was analyzed with Chi square test (p<0.001). The significant association found confirmed that detection of HR-HPV is a suitable candidate for early identification of cervical precancerous lesions and in the prevention of cervical cancer in India.
