This research work concerns one of the most singular examples of post-Palaeolithic art in the Iberian Peninsula, the engraved plaquettes from the Cueva de la Cocina. The plaquettes are limestone supports with compositions of linear strokes, sometimes complex, made by means of lines crossed in different directions. The plaquettes represent the main evidence of the artistic style known as Linear-Geometric (Fortea, 1974), attributed to the Mesolithic-Geometric period in its final development (from the end of the IX millennium cal B.P. to the middle of the VIII millennium cal B.P.) (García Puchol et al., 2018). The aim of the research is to study the prehistoric artistic gesture through the reconstruction of the operational chain of actions that led to the creation of the engraved compositions found in the archaeological supports. An innovative methodological approach has been used that has considered the integration of different disciplines: experimental archaeology, analysis of traces, 3D technology and statistical data analysis. The research constitutes a contribution to the knowledge of the artistic expressions of the last hunter-gatherer communities in the Mediterranean area. The thesis is divided into three parts. The first part discusses the more general aspects of the chronological framework, the archaeological context and the state of the art of the post-Palaeolithic prehistoric art of the peninsular Mediterranean arc. The second part of the thesis deals with the methodologies applied and the analysis of the archaeological artefacts that are the subject of the thesis. The third part of the thesis integrates the experimental and archaeological data through the use of Trace-Me software, developed during this research work. The final considerations will include a general synthesis of the results obtained, followed by a discussion of the data and the possible future perspectives of this PhD project.

The building sector, which has always been the cause of high energy consumption and significant CO
2 emissions both in the production phase and in the use and demolition of buildings, needs to make important changes. The latest technological innovations, the use and reuse of different types of sustainable materials and the possibility to power factories with renewable energy, led to a new concept of building called Green Building. The aim of the paper is to present a strategy for the application of circular economy to the building sector through the implementation of a new productive line on the company “Gipsos Srl”, in order to create plasterboard which, through specific recycling processes and grinding, selection, cooking and refining operations, ceases to be a special waste and it will be fully recovered and reintroduced endlessly in the production process. The growing public sector interest in green building makes us wonder about what each of us can do to implement sustainable management of private buildings. Nowadays citizens feel a stronger need to replace conventional heating and cooling techniques with new systems in order to increase energy efficiency, improve air quality and minimize indoor pollution. The Ecohouse company, located in eastern Sicily, has been able to satisfy the most sensitive customers' requirement, providing its buildings with innovative air purification and ventilation systems through heat recovery aspirators, air channeling by fan coil and chiller for radiant floor heating. The company's long-term goal is the construction of houses as close as possible to what the passive house protocol establishes. The air purification systems' functioning is based on a process of air recirculation that implicates a minimum loss of heat (approximately one degree) in order to save energy. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

[EN] At this document we present a computer protocol, designed for the development of a digital environment which will allow virtual reconstruction of both, the stratigraphic information and the material record found at Cueva de la Cocina (Dos Aguas, Valencia). By this we also mean to relate the most recent fieldwork at the site to that carried on during the 1970s. The first interventions inside the cavity date back to the first half of the XX century, when a complex sequence, which comprehended layers mainly related to the last hunter-gutherers and the first farmers, was identified. Accurateness, both describing and gathering precise information of the site was not a priority according to the methodology of older excavations. However, the fieldwork directed by Javier Fortea during the 1970s was meticulously registered using tridimensional notes of the information referring to the excavated layers and the recovered findings, although an analysis and interpretation of the site was never undertaken. Nowadays, we intend to integrate that information into a virtual working environment, so that, using specific software, data can be digitally processed for its 3D visualization and further analysis. Resorting to different statistical analysis and graphic representation packages has also been required. The results presented here refer to virtualization of the tridimensional information of one of the units excavated during the 2015 campaign, along with two adjacent units of the intervention developed by Javier Fortea.

In this paper we propose a new methodology to approach the study of the Upper Paleolithic Venus figurines using the scientific principles ofexperimental archaeology. The main aim is to understand the chaine operatoire and how the prehistoric artists made the Paleolithic Venus figurines. The bone figurine found in Parabita (Lecce, Puglia) known as “Venere Grande” is used as case study. It has been developed an experimental protocol, that implies the comparison between the technological traces present on the Paleolithic Venus figurine surface and the one experimentally recreated. The experimental samples consists of the realisation of series of technological traces on bone objects with lithics similar to those found at the Parabita site and also the reproduction of a Venus figurine that looks like the original one. The final result has been the schematic description of the actions involved in the making of the “Venere Grande”.

The most important objective of the present study is to evaluate the impact of the contingency aspects on the basic model of the waiting effect in the overall service evaluation. Based on studies in reference to the wait already carried out, this study defined the "basic model of the waiting effect on the general evaluation of the service" as being the negative impact of waiting in the general evaluation of the service because of the rise of negative emotions. The influence of contingency factors over the model is the most important contribution of the study as this approach has never been studied before. Iniatially, there was a qualitative exploratory to investigate the proposed relations in the theoretical model, as well as to have a better understanding of health care services, the field study of the research. Following that, the influence of the consumer involvement, the uniqueness of the service, the time pressure and the interpersonal relationship in the central model was investigated through a survey conducted among 382 patients The hypotheses were tested using structural equation modeling with LISREL 8.51 software. The results showed that the consumer involvement have a positive impact in the acceptable waiting time. On the other hand the effect of the uniqueness of the service over the same variable was not confirmed. The time pressure indicated a positive impact on the perceived waiting time and the moderate effect of the interpersonal relationship of the connection between negative affective reactions and the overall service evaluation was also confirmed. Beyond the proposed hypotheses, it was performed a exploratory test whereby it was confirmed the moderator effect of the gravity variable on the relations that form the basic model of the waiting effect on the overall service evaluation. In the end the results are discussed, and the limitations of the study and suggestions for future surveys are presented.
