The Super C-τ (SCT) Factory at Novosibirsk is a project of new colliding beam experiment proposed in Budker Institute of Nuclear Physics. Electron-positron collider based on Crab-Waist technique for operation energy range 2–5 GeV in center of mass is suggested. The luminosity up to 1035cm−1s−1 (in 100 times higher than in operated today experiments in this energy region) is expected. To perform broad experimental program of the project successfully the excellent particle identification (PID) system is needed. A number of options are under consideration. Three of them are described in the paper: Focusing Aerogel RICH (FARICH) detector, threshold Cherenkov counters based on ASHIPH (Aerogel SHifter PHotomultiplier) technique with 6000 litres of aerogel of two refractive indexes and time-of-flight counters with TOP (Time of Propagation) approach with time resolution better than 30 ps. Comparison of PID capabilities with help of parametric simulation is given.

The study of baryon excitation spectra provides insight into the inner structure of baryons. So far, most of the world-wide efforts have been directed towards $N^*$ and $\Delta$ spectroscopy. Nevertheless, the study of the double and triple strange baryon spectrum provides independent information to the $N^*$ and $\Delta$ spectra. The future antiproton experiment PANDA will provide direct access to final states containing a $\bar{\Xi}\Xi$ pair, for which production cross sections up to $\mu$b are expected in $\bar{p}p$ reactions. With a luminosity of $L=10^{31}\,cm^{-2}s^{-1}$ in the first phase of the experiment, the expected cross sections correspond to a production rate of $\sim 10^6$ events$/$day. With a nearly $4\pi$ detector acceptance, PANDA will thus be a hyperon factory. In this study, reactions of the type $\bar{p}p\rightarrow \bar{\Xi}^+ \Xi^{*-}$ as well as $\bar{p}p\rightarrow \bar{\Xi}^{*+} \Xi^{-}$ with various decay modes are investigated. For the exclusive reconstruction of the signal events a full decay tree fit is used, resulting in reconstruction efficiencies between $3\,\%$ and $5\,\%$. Two experiments, CMD-3 and SND, collected over 100 pb−1 in total taking data in 2011-2013 at the VEPP-2000 electron-positron collider. The data sample covers the whole available c.m. energy range from 0.32 GeV to 2.0 GeV. An upgrade of VEPP-2000 started in the second half of 2013, aimed at the luminosity increase up to 10 times at 2.0 GeV. Data taking is expected to resumed in 2015. The current results of analysis of the collected data for various modes of e+ e− → hadrons are discussed.

It’s good known the difference in 3.5 sigma between the muon (g – 2) experimental result and its calculation in Standard Model. To clarify this intriguing discrepancy the new stage of muon (g – 2) measurement is under preparation at Fermi National Laboratory. On other hand, regular data taking for measurements of hadron cross section production in e+ e− annihilations is under way since December 2010 at the electron-positron collider VEPP-2000 with the CMD-3 and SND detectors. The collected data sample corresponds to about 60 inverse picobarns of integrated luminosity per detector in the energy range from 0.32 up to 2 GeV. Preliminary analysis of various hadronic cross sections has been performed.

Data corresponding to about 40 pb−1 of integrated luminosity were collected in the e+e− c.m. energy range from 1.05 to 2.00 GeV. The cross sections for e+e− → ωπ0, π+π−4π0, pp¯${m{par p}}$, nn¯${m{nar n}}$ have been measured.
