In the description of transport phenomena an important aspect represents the diffusion. In certain cases the diffusion may appear together with convection. In this paper we study the diffusion equation with the self similar Ansatz. With an appropriate change of variables we found original solutions of diffusion equation for infinite horizon. Here we present the even solutions of diffusion equation for the boundary conditions presented. For completeness the odd solutions are also mentioned as well, as part of the previous works. Finally, the diffusion equation with constant source term is discussed, which also has even and odd solutions, too, Comment: 17 pages, 9 figures

We investigate a hydrodynamic equation system which - with some approximation - is capable to describe the tsunami propagation in the open ocean with the time-dependent self-similar Ansatz. We found analytic solutions how the wave height and velocity behave in time and space for constant and linear seabed functions. First we study waves on open water, where the seabed can be considered relatively constant, sufficiently far from the shore. In the second part of the study we also consider a seabed which is oblique. Finally, we apply the most common traveling wave Ansatz and present almost trivial solutions as well., Comment: 23 pages, 8 figures

We investigate a one dimensional flow described with the non-compressible coupled Euler and non-compressible Navier-Stokes equations in Cartesian coordinate systems. We couple the two fluids through the continuity equation where different void fractions can be considered. The well-known self-similar Ansatz was applied and analytic solutions were derived for both velocity and pressure field as well. The solutions can be expressed with the error functions., Comment: 11 pages, 4 figures

This work presents an analytic angular differential cross section formula for the electromagnetic radiation field assisted electron scattering by %% was on impurities in semiconductors. These impurities are approximated with various model potentials. The scattered electrons are described by the well-known Volkov wave function, which has been used describe strong laser field matter interaction for more than half a century, %% I would remove this time reference for clarity which exactly describes the interaction of the electron with the external oscillating field. These calculations show that the electron conductance in a semiconductor could be enhanced by an order of magnitude if an infrared electromagnetic field is present with $ 10^{11} < I < 10^{13}$ W/cm$^2$ intensity., Comment: 11 pages, 5 figures

Utilizing a recently found class of exact, analytic rotating solutions of non-relativistic fireball hydrodynamics, we calculate analytically the single-particle spectra, the elliptic flows and two-particle Bose-Einstein correlation functions for rotating and expanding fireballs with spheroidal symmetry. We demonstrate, that rotation generates final state momentum anisotropies even for a spatially symmetric, spherical initial geometry of the fireball. The mass dependence of the effective temperatures, as well as the HBT radius parameters and the elliptic flow are shown to be sensitive not only to radial flow effects but also to the magnitude of the initial angular momentum., Comment: 26 pages, with 18 .eps figures. Physics - Fluid Dynamics - Abstract
In this article we will present pure two-dimensional analytic solutions for the coupled non-compressible Newtoniain Navier-Stokes --- with Boussinesq approximation --- and the heat conduction equation. The system was investigated from E.N. Lorenz half a century ago with Fourier series and pioneered the way to the paradigm of chaos. We present a novel analysis of the same system where the key idea is the two-dimensional generalization of the well-known self-similar Ansatz of Barenblatt which will be interpreted in a geometrical way. The results, the pressure, temperature and velocity fields are all analytic and can be expressed with the help of the error functions. The temperature field has a strongly damped oscillating behavior which is an interesting feature., Comment: 13 pages, 4 figures

Nuclear Theory - Abstract
We present analytic angular differential cross section model for laser assisted proton nucleon scattering on a Woods-Saxon optical potential where the nth-order photon absorption is taken into account simultaneously. As a physical example we calculate cross sections for proton - $^{12}$C collision at 49 MeV in the laboratory frame where the laser intensity is in the range of $ 10^{7} - 10^{21}$ W/cm$^2$ at optical frequencies. The upper intensity limit is slightly below the relativistic regime., Comment: 6 pages, 4 figures, will be submitted to Phys. Rev. C

Physics - Plasma Physics - Abstract
The key element in the Proton-Driven-Plasma-Wake-Field-Accelerator (AWAKE) project is the generation of highly uniform plasma from Rubidium vapor. The standard way to achieve full ionization is to use high power laser which can assure the over-barrier-ionization (OBI) along the 10 meters long active region. The Wigner-team in Budapest is investigating an alternative way of uniform plasma generation. The proposed Resonance Enhanced Multi Photon Ionization (REMPI) scheme probably can be realized by much less laser power. In the following the resonant pre-excitations of the Rb atoms are investigated, theoretically and the status report about the preparatory work on the experiment are presented., Comment: 8 pages, 6 figures, submitted to Nucl. Physics - Fluid Dynamics - Abstract
We investigate the three dimensional compressible Navier-Stokes and the continuity equations in Cartesian coordinates for Newtonian fluids. The polytropic equation of sate is used as closing condition. The key idea is the three-dimensional generalization of the well-known self-similar Ansatz which was already used for non-compressible viscous flow in our former study (Commun. in Theor. Phys. 56, (2011) 745). In the second method the three dimensional traveling wave Ansatz was applied. The geometrical interpretations of the trial functions are also discussed., Comment: 15 pages 4 figures, submitted to Commun. in Theor. Phys. arXiv admin note: text overlap with arXiv:1102.5504

In our study we consider nonlinear, power-law field-dependent electrical permitivity and magnetic permeability and investigate the time-dependent Maxwell equations with the self-similar Ansatz. This is a first-order hyperbolic PDE system which can conserve non-continuous initial conditions describing electromagnetic shock-waves. Besides shock-waves other interesting solutions (e.g. with localized compact support) can be found with delicate physical properties. Such phenomena may happen in complex materials induced by the planned powerful Extreme Light Infrastructure(ELI) laser pulses., Comment: 6 pages, 2 figures published in Laser Phys. 24 (2014) 086002

Nonlinear Sciences - Chaotic Dynamics - Abstract
We present a study of the chaotic behavior of the bouncing ball billiard. The work is realised on the purpose of finding at least certain causes of separation of the neighbouring trajectories. Having in view the geometrical construction of the system, we report a clear origin of chaoticity of the bouncing ball billiard. By this we claim that in case when the floor is made of arc of circles - in a certain interval of frequencies - a lower bound for the maximal Ljapunov can be evaluated by sem-ianalitical techniques., Comment: We plan to publish this manuscript in a regular journal soon.

Coherent control calculations are presented for a spherically symmetric box potential for non-resonant two photon transition probabilities. With the help of a genetic algorithm (GA) the population of the excited states are maximized and minimized. The external driving field is a superposition of three intensive extreme ultraviolet (XUV) linearly polarized laser pulses with different frequencies in the femtosecond duration range. We solved the quantum mechanical problem within the dipole approximation. Our investigation clearly shows that the dynamics of the electron current has a strong correlation with the optimized and neutralizing pulse shape., Comment: 11 Pages 3 Figures

We investigate two-photon double ionization of helium by intense ($10^{15} W/cm^2$) ultrashort ($\approx 300$ as) soft X-ray pulses (E = 91.6 eV). The time-dependent two-electron Schr\"odinger equation is solved using a coupled channel method. We show that for ultrashort pulses the angular distribution of ejected electrons depends on the pulse duration and provides novel insights into the role of electron correlations in the two-electron photoemission process. The angular distribution at energies near the ``independent electron'' peaks is close to dipolar while it acquires in the ``valley'' of correlated emission a significant quadrupolar component within a few hundred attoseconds., Comment: 17 pages, 6 figs

We consider a particle that is subject to a constant force and scatters inelastically on a vibrating periodically corrugated floor. At small friction and small radius of the circular scatterers the dynamics is dominated by resonances forming spiral structures in phase space. These spiral modes lead to pronounced maxima and minima in the diffusion coefficient as a function of the vibration frequency, as is shown in computer simulations. Our theoretical predictions may be verified experimentally by studying transport of granular matter on vibratory conveyors., Comment: 10 pages, 3 eps-figures

- Abstract
The Horizon 2020 Project EuPRAXIA ("European Plasma Research Accelerator with eXcellence In Applications") is preparing a conceptual design report of a highly compact and cost-effective European facility with multi-GeV electron beams using plasma as the acceleration medium. The accelerator facility will be based on a laser and/or a beam driven plasma acceleration approach and will be used for photon science, high-energy physics (HEP) detector tests, and other applications such as compact X-ray sources for medical imaging or material processing. EuPRAXIA started in November 2015 and will deliver the design report in October 2019. EuPRAXIA aims to be included on the ESFRI roadmap in 2020.
