The purpose of this study is to contribute to the creation of guidelines for virtual museum interface projects regarding their authenticity. Through the deductive method, when working with theories about the authentic, we analyzed a virtual museum site model (Era Virtual) to create authenticity assessment indicators for virtual musem sites. After theoretical and practical analyses, a pilot questionnaire was designed to validate, through the response of the public, the indicators we developed and to develop others, if necessary. Then, we defined our sample, the final questionnaires were applied, the results obtained were analyzed, and the guidelines for virtual museum interface were set out. We found that authenticity is a dynamic concept that concerns both issues verifiable through the subject matter of a digital object and non-material issues that emerge from the relationship between a person and that object. The sample surveyed believed that virtual museums were authentic mainly for their informative value., O objetivo deste estudo é contribuir na criação de diretrizes para projetos da interface de museus virtuais no que tange à sua autenticidade. Por meio do método dedutivo, ao trabalharmos com a teoria sobre o autêntico, analisou-se um modelo de site de museus virtuais para criar indicadores de avaliação de autenticidade dentro desses. Após as análises teórica e prática elaborou-se um questionário piloto visando validar os indicadores criados e, caso necessário, a elaboração de outros novos mediante a resposta do público. Em seguida, foi definida a amostra da pesquisa, aplicados os questionários finais, analisado os resultados obtidos e, então, criadas as diretrizes para a interface dos museus virtuais. Identifica-se que a autenticidade é um conceito dinâmico que diz respeito tanto a questões verificáveis através da matéria de um objeto digital, quanto a questões não materiais que emergem da relação entre o homem e esse objeto. A amostra pesquisada acredita que os museus virtuais são autênticos principalmente pelo seu valor informativo.

Relatório de Estágio do Mestrado em Jornalismo e Comunicação apresentado à Faculdade de Letras A crise no modelo de negócio dos media agravou-se com a conjuntura económica e financeira, em 2008. A quebra de receitas publicitárias, aliada à dificuldade de financiamento e ao modelo de gestão das empresas de comunicação social (nas mãos de grandes grupos económicos), veio acentuar a debilidade já vivida pelos media portugueses. Esta problemática traduziu-se em cortes orçamentais, redução de recursos humanos, vínculos precários e baixos salários.Neste estudo, pretende-se avaliar até que ponto estas condicionantes afetaram o trabalho e a qualidade das redações e dos seus conteúdos. Tendo estagiado na TSF Rádio Notícias durante três meses, assisti a esta realidade de perto e, por isso, o foco deste relatório incide sobre o efeito da crise nas estações de rádio. Este trabalho está, assim, dividido em duas partes, sendo a primeira sobre a realidade da rádio onde estagiei. Este estágio curricular teve como base pôr em prática os conhecimentos adquiridos na universidade naquele que será, no futuro, o meio profissional. Neste âmbito, foi uma oportunidade para observar o funcionamento de uma redação de rádio e perceber também os constrangimentos que lá se vivem. O número escasso de profissionais para responder às solicitações de agenda noticiosa foi uma das dificuldades mais evidentes que constatei e que deu origem ao tema em análise na segunda parte deste trabalho.Assim, esta segunda parte debruça-se sobre a realidade laboral que se vive nas redações da TSF, Antena 1 e Renascença. O objetivo desta reflexão passa, então, por avaliar o modo como cada um destes órgãos reagiu perante as adversidades provocadas pela crise económica, que medidas tomou e quais as consequências nas respetivas redações. Terá isso influenciado os seus conteúdos? A abordagem metodológica adotada passou por uma observação participante (quer no estágio, quer na visita às restantes redações); por entrevistas realizadas a profissionais das três estações e por apoio bibliográfico.No final deste relatório, aliando a experiência enquanto estagiária à análise feita nas diferentes redações, as conclusões retratam uma realidade onde, direta ou indiretamente, os constrangimentos influenciam os conteúdos e, por conseguinte, o produto final que chega ao ouvinte. The crisis in the business model of the media gets worse by the economic and financial situation, in 2008. The fall in publicity, associated with the difficulty of financing and the management model of media companies (in the hands of economic groups), emphasized the weakness already experienced by the Portuguese media. This problem has resulted in budget cuts, reduction of human resources, precarious bonds and low salaries.In this study, the objective is evaluate how these conditions affected the work and the quality of the newsroom and their contents. Has an intern at TSF Rádio Notícias for three months, I watched this reality closely, so the focus of this report is on the effect of the crisis on radio stations. This work divided in two parts: the first, about the reality of the radio where I interned. This basis of this curricular internship is put in practice the knowledge acquired at the university in what will be the professional environment in the future. In this context, it was an opportunity to observe the operation of a radio newsroom and to understand the constraints that lives there. The low number of professionals to respond to news agenda requests was one of the most evident difficulties that I noticed and that origined the topic under analysis in the second part of this paper. Therefore, this second part deals with the labor reality that TSF, Antena 1 and Renascença lived. The purpose of this reflection is to evaluate how each of these media reacted to the adversities caused by the economic crisis, what measures they took and the consequences in the respective newsroom. Has this influenced their contents?The methodological approach adopted was a participant observation (both in the internship and in the visit to other newsrooms), interviews with professionals from the three stations and bibliographic support. At the end of this paper, through the union between experience as intern and the analysis done in the different radio stations, the conclusions reflect a reality where, directly or indirectly, the constraints influence their contents and, therefore, the final product that reaches the listener. This study explores the mechanisms behind the high glacial productivity in the southern Brazilian margin (SBM) during the last 70 kyr using planktonic foraminifera assemblage and subsurface temperature information derived using the modern analogue technique. We show that enhanced glacial productivity was driven by the synergy of two mechanisms operating in different seasons: (i) enhanced productivity in the upwelling region during short austral summer events; and (ii) the persistent presence of the Plata Plume Water (PPW) due to prolonged austral winter conditions. We suggest that the upwelling systems in the southern Brazilian margin were more productive during the last glacial period due to the enhanced Si supply for diatom production by high-Si thermocline waters preformed in the Southern Ocean. We hypothesize that orbital forcing did not have a major influence on changes in upwelling during the last glacial period. However, the more frequent northward intrusions of the Plata Plume Water were modulated by austral winter insolation at 60∘ S via changes in the strength of alongshore southwesterly winds. After the Last Glacial Maximum, the reduced Si content of thermocline waters decreased upwelling productivity, while lower austral winter insolation decreased the influence of the Plata Plume Water over the southern Brazilian margin, reducing regional productivity.

Dissertação de Mestrado em Marketing apresentada à Faculdade de Economia Num mundo globalizado é necessário “vender” a marca de uma cidade. Com o decorrer da pesquisa, percebeu-se um problema. Nomeadamente, a falta de consenso na medição deste tipo de marcas. Neste estudo utilizou-se para medir a Marca Cidade o Brand Equity um modelo que se adapta a vários contextos. Muitos estudos deste conceito, enfatizam a importância de uma marca cidade forte de forma a atrair turistas, investidores, novos habitantes ou reter os atuais considerados embaixadores da Marca da sua própria cidade, por estes motivos, contruiram-se dois modelos, para dois dos principais Stakeholders da marca de uma cidade: Habitantes e os Turistas. Os dois modelos, foram aplicados na cidade de Coimbra, cidade Histórica, primeira capital do reino de Portugal, com a Universidade mais antiga do país e também um destino Turístico que está a ganhar cada vez mais adeptos. O Valor da Marca Cidade foi medido com: Brand Awareness, Brand Loyalty, e Perceived Value. As variáveis estudadas para este modelo relacionaram-se no caso dos antecedentes com atributos da cidade a Imagem Cognitiva dos habitantes. Mas também com as necessidades psicológicas do consumidor como Ligação com o Lugar, Património, Distinção Ótima, Identificação e Autenticidade. Já as variáveis consequentes o foco foi o consumidor, mas também as suas respostas à marca e intenções: Compromisso, Satisfação, Passa-a-palavra e Intenção de Revisitar para os turistas. Com dados de 402 pessoas, 200 habitantes e 202 Turistas.Seguiu-se para a análise estatística dos dados, com recurso ao Modelo Estrutural de Equações, para confirmar as 9 hipóteses. Resultados: os dois modelos apenas com uma variável de estudo diferente, tiveram resultados muito distintos. Foram testadas 9 Hipóteses, nos dois grupos. No Modelo para os Habitantes, foram suportadas estatisticamente, a Ligação com o lugar e a Imagem Cognitiva e consequentes como o compromisso, passa-a-palavra e a satisfação. Para os turistas todas as variáveis tanto antecedentes como consequentes, foram suportadas. para ambas as amostras. A Ligação com a Marca cidade, o passa-a-palavra, satisfação e compromisso resultaram num valor à marca Coimbra tal como atitudes de turistas como a intenção de revisitar a cidade. O modelo pressupõe aspetos emocionais e atiudinais de resposta a uma marca. Os modelos têm um contribuito teórico pelo seu carater inovador das variáveis de estudo. E prático pela possibilidade de se adptar a entidades interessadas na medição da marca de uma cidade com uma visão mais abrangente. In a globalized world, it is necessary to "sell" a brand of a city. With the search solver, there was a problem. There is a lack of consensus on the measurement of this type of brand. In this study a city brand was measured by a Brand Equity model, wich adapts to various contexts. Many studies of this concept emphasize the importance of a strong city brand to attract tourists, investors, newcomers, or retain current. Residents are brand ambassadors from their own city. For that reason, it was build two types of models, for the most important Stakeholders of a city's brand: Residents and Tourists. The two models were applied in the city of Coimbra, historical city, the first capital of the kingdom of Portugal, with the oldest University of the country. And also, a Tourist destination that is gaining more and more fans. The City Brand Equity was measured with: Brand Awareness, Brand Loyalty, and Perceived Value. As variables studied for this model were related in the case of antecedents, with attributes of the city the Cognitive Image of the inhabitants. But also, based in Heritage, Optimal Distinction, Identification and Authenticity. Already as consequent variables focus on the consumer, but also their responses and intentions to the brand: Commitment, Satisfaction, Word-of-Mouth and Intention to Revisit, for the tourists. It was collected data from 402 people, 200 inhabitants and 202 Tourists. Following for statistical analysis of the data, using the Structural Model of Equations, to confirm as 9 hypotheses. Results: The two models with a different study variable had very different results. Hypotheses were tested in both groups. In the Model for the Inhabitants, a place attachment and a cognitive image were statistically supported as consequent. Such as commitment, word-of-mouth and satisfaction. In the case of tourists all as variables, both antecedent and consequent, were supported, place attachment, the word-of-mouth, satisfaction and commitment have resulted in a value to the Coimbra brand such as tourist attitudes as an intention to revisit a city. The model assumes emotional and atiudinal aspects of the response to a brand. The models have a theoretical contribution by their innovative variables of the study. In practical it can be applied to entities interested in the measurement of the of a city brand with a more comprehensive vision.
