In order to study the thermal stability of fullerene С50 in a nitrogen atmosphere during the transition from the condensed phase to the gas phase and further reactions in the vapor phase, the method of thermodynamic modeling is used. The study was carried out with an excess and deficiency of nitrogen. Based on the results of the calculation, the chemical reactions in the С50−N2 system are compiled and the temperature intervals are distinguished for each reaction. In this work, a comparative study of the thermal stability intervals of C50 fullerenes in the condensed and gas phases was carried out. This study is one of series of papers on the properties of nanoparticles in a nitrogen atmosphere. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
