Abstract Artificial Intelligence (AI) systems are increasingly being deployed across various high-risk applications, especially in healthcare. Despite significant attention to evaluating these systems, post-deployment incidents are not uncommon, and effective mitigation strategies remain challenging. Drug safety has a well-established history of assessing, monitoring, understanding, and preventing adverse effects in real-world usage, known as pharmacovigilance. Drawing inspiration from pharmacovigilance methods, we discuss concepts that can be adapted for monitoring AI systems in healthcare. This discussion aims to improve responses to adverse effects and potential incidents and risks associated with AI deployment in healthcare but also beyond.

Abstract Background To evaluate the efficacy of SIMBA as an educational intervention for both HCPs and people with either PCOS or adrenal conditions and to study the change in knowledge of people with PCOS or adrenal conditions about the conditions and expectations from the HCPs involved in their care following SIMBA-PPI sessions. Methods Two SIMBA-PPI sessions (SIMBA-PPI Polycystic ovary syndrome (SIMBA-PCOS) and SIMBA-PPI Adrenal conditions (SIMBA-Adrenal conditions)) were conducted in September 2021 and March 2022. In both sessions, HCPs interacted with moderators on patient management through WhatsApp. Patients with respective conditions underwent workshop-style learning in the same cases. SIMBA-PCOS transcripts were also translated into Brazilian Portuguese and workshops were held in both Brazilian Portuguese and English. The two groups (HCPs and patients) were then brought together to discuss exploring gaps in knowledge and expectations. The Wilcoxon Signed-Rank test compared differences in pre- and post-SIMBA self-reported confidence levels in HCPs and patients. Qualitative data from the online recordings were transcribed and analysed with inductive thematic analysis to identify gaps in knowledge and expectations from managing the cases. The chaperone protein EROS (“Essential for Reactive Oxygen Species”) was recently discovered in phagocytes. EROS was shown to regulate the abundance of the ROS-producing enzyme NADPH oxidase isoform 2 (NOX2) and to control ROS-mediated cell killing. Reactive oxygen species are important not only in immune surveillance, but also modulate physiological signaling responses in multiple tissues. The roles of EROS have not been previously explored in the context of oxidant-modulated cell signaling. Here we show that EROS plays a key role in ROS-dependent signal transduction in vascular endothelial cells. We used siRNA-mediated knockdown and developed CRISPR/Cas9 knockout of EROS in human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVEC), both of which cause a significant decrease in the abundance of NOX2 protein, associated with a marked decrease in RAC1, a small G protein that activates NOX2. Loss of EROS also attenuates receptor-mediated hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) and Ca2+ signaling, disrupts cytoskeleton organization, decreases cell migration, and promotes cellular senescence. EROS knockdown blocks agonist-modulated eNOS phosphorylation and nitric oxide (NO●) generation. These effects of EROS knockdown are strikingly similar to the alterations in endothelial cell responses that we previously observed following RAC1 knockdown. Proteomic analyses following EROS or RAC1 knockdown in endothelial cells showed that reduced abundance of these two distinct proteins led to largely overlapping effects on endothelial biological processes, including oxidoreductase, protein phosphorylation, and endothelial nitric oxide synthase (eNOS) pathways. These studies demonstrate that EROS plays a central role in oxidant-modulated endothelial cell signaling by modulating NOX2 and RAC1.

Abstract Plasmodium falciparum infection causes the most severe form of malaria, where excessive production of proinflammatory cytokines can drive the pathogenesis of the disease. Monocytes play key roles in host defense against malaria through cytokine production and phagocytosis; however, they are also implicated in pathogenesis through excessive proinflammatory cytokine production. Understanding the underlying molecular mechanisms that contribute to inflammatory cytokine production in P. falciparum-exposed monocytes is key towards developing better treatments. Here, we provide molecular evidence that histone 3 lysine 4 (H3K4) methylation is key for inflammatory cytokine production in P. falciparum-exposed monocytes. In an established in vitro system that mimics blood stage infection, elevated proinflammatory TNF and IL-6 cytokine production is correlated with increased mono- and tri-methylated H3K4 levels. Significantly, we demonstrate through utilizing a pharmacological inhibitor of H3K4 methylation that TNF and IL-6 expression can be suppressed in P. falciparum-exposed monocytes. This elucidated epigenetic regulatory mechanism, controlling inflammatory cytokine production, potentially provides new therapeutic options for future malaria treatment.

Cryptosporidium infection is highly prevalent among immunocompromised patients with Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome, cancer, primary immunodeficiency, and organ transplant recipients. Comprehensive knowledge about Cryptosporidium infection provides the means for efficient diagnosis, treatment, and prevention. Therefore, with the objective of providing an in-depth analysis of Cryptosporidiosis in immunocompromised patients, this review presents a comprehensive understating of the prevalence, risk factors, pathophysiology of Cryptosporidium infection, clinical presentation in the immunocompromised, the immune response of the host, diagnostic methods performed in laboratory settings, possible treatments, and prevention methods, which can be used for further studies. Peer-reviewed, published, original articles on cryptosporidiosis in immunocompromised patients were searched using specific key-words on PubMed, ResearchGate, Google Scholar, and ScienceDirect databases. Articles which were accessible to the date of 18th of August 2023, were included in this comprehensive review. We analyzed reports on Cryptosporidium in immunocompromised patients with human immunodeficiency virus/acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (HIV/AIDS), cancer, primary immunodeficiency, and organ transplant recipients. 134 Articles describing epidemiology, related risk factors, clinical presentation, diagnosis, and possible treatments in the light of pathogenesis, pathophysiology, and virulence factors of Cryptosporidium and immunology of the host are summarized in this study. Effective treatments to be administered, importance, and ways of prevention were identified. Cryptosporidium infection was found to be highly prevalent among immunocompromised in Asia, Africa, Europe, and North America. The immunity of the host and the decrease in CD4+ T-cell count were found to the main factors which decide the susceptibility and the severity of infection. Drugs that activate host immunity and suppress Cryptosporidium growth, along with supportive therapy, is an effective treatment. But prevention is the most effective strategy for immunocompromised patients; thus, a better understanding about the disease would lead to effective prevention.

Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a destructive inflammatory autoimmune disease that causes pain and disability. Many of the currently available drugs for treating RA patients are aimed at halting the progression of the disease and alleviating inflammation. Further, some of these treatment options have drawbacks, including disease recurrence and adverse effects due to long-term use. These inefficiencies have created a need for a different approach to treating RA. Recently, the focus has shifted to direct targeting of transcription factors (TFs), as they play a vital role in the pathogenesis of RA, activating key cytokines, chemokines, adhesion molecules, and enzymes. In light of this, synthetic drugs and natural compounds are being explored to target key TFs or their signaling pathways in RA. This review discusses the role of four key TFs in inflammation, namely NF-κB, STATs, AP-1 and IRFs, and their potential for being targeted to treat RA.

Herein, acid functionalized carbon nanotubes (FCNTs) reinforced epoxidized natural rubber (ENR 25) composites with 25% epoxidation are studied with particular reference to the effect of FCNTs on microstructural development along with their effect on thermo-mechanical and gas barrier properties. Excellent improvement in tensile strength, that is, 128% and 118%, was observed with the addition 1 and 2 wt% of FCNTs, respectively, without compromising the elongation at break. A 76% improvement in oxygen impermeability was found for 2 wt% of FCNTs. Chemical interactions among FCNTs and ENR 25 altered the composite morphology and led to good dispersion, both of which contribute to the excellent thermo-mechanical and gas barrier properties of the composites. The distribution of the filler inside ENR 25 has been characterized with scanning electron microscopy, which unveiled segregated FCNTs. The obtained experimental gas permeability values were correlated with the well-known Bharadwaj model. The fabricated functional composites could find applications in automobiles, packaging, and other demanding engineering sectors. Abstract Objectives Canine dirofilariasis is a mosquito borne zoonotic filarial parasitic disease caused by Dirofilaria species. In Sri Lanka, human dirofilariasis is endemic and well documented. Even though canine dirofilariasis is an established infection among dog populations in Sri Lanka, the prevalence and risk factors were not documented in Kanthale divisional secretariat, Eastern Province of Sri Lanka. Therefore, the main objective of this study is to determine the prevalence of dirofilariasis and to identify the exposure-related risk factors in dogs using an interviewer administered questionnaire in Kanthale divisional secretariat. Results Out of 162 blood samples collected from dogs, 47.5% (n = 77/162) were positive for the presence of microfilariae by direct smear. Of 162 samples 58.6% (n = 95/162) were molecularly identified as D. repens. Species-specific primer pair DIR3/DIR4 that amplified 5S rRNA was used. The current study observed a significant association between mongrels and canine dirofilariasis (p = 0.049), where 61.3% (n = 95) out of 155 mongrels showed PCR positivity. This study showed no significant association between the occurrence of dirofilariasis and the age, sex, rearing method, presence or absence of skin rash, and stray or domestic dogs. Dirofilaria immitis was not identified in direct smear test and PCR.

Pompe disease (PD) is a rare autosomal recessive lysosomal disorder caused by loss‐of‐function of the α‐glucosidase (GAA) gene. The deficient GAA enzyme activity may result in potential life‐threatening muscle weakness, thus requiring a rapid diagnosis to initiate therapeutic interventions. In this large retrospective study, we analyzed 30.836 PD suspect samples from 57 countries using a two‐step approach utilizing dried blood spots (DBSs): biochemical testing of GAA activity followed by complementary genetic sequencing of GAA in biochemically conspicuous cases. Of these 30.836 samples, 2% (n = 639) were excluded; accordingly, this study consisted of 30.193 cases. Biochemical testing of GAA enzyme activity showed normal values in 28.354 (93.90%) and enzyme activity below the cut‐off in 1843 (6.10%) cases. These biochemically suspicious cases were genetically analyzed. We identified 723 Pompe cases with 283 different GAA alterations, and 98 variants have been unpublished so far. The most common variant was the splice variant c.‐32‐13T>G (IVS1). Looking at the IVS1‐genotype, the majority was compound heterozygous (n = 169) and identified in late‐onset cases (n = 162). Comparison of early‐ versus late‐onset cases to evaluate whether certain genotypes correlate with the age of onset revealed that homozygosity was predominantly found in infantile (85.65%) and compound heterozygosity in late‐onset (76.9%) cases. Analysis of homozygous cases revealed 61% nonsense variants in the early stages and 87% missense variants in the late stages. Mapping of disease‐associated (homozygous) missense variants to functional GAA protein domains showed that missense variants were found throughout GAA, but we identified enrichment in the catalytic domain. A strict genotype–phenotype correlation cannot be established; nevertheless, a phenotypic implication of some GAA variants could be drawn (e.g., c.896T>C/p.L299P, c.2015G>A/p.R672Q, and c.‐32‐13T>G). The combined enzyme activity and genetic testing from DBS cards can reliably identify PD and significantly accelerate diagnosis. With the emergence of genomic profiling technologies, circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) is increasingly recognized as a versatile biomarker for risk stratification and disease monitoring. We aimed to compare two commercially available NGS panels in a cohort of patients with advanced PDAC undergoing palliative chemotherapy.Methods: CtDNA was isolated with a magnetic bead-based protocol from two consecutive blood samples before and during chemotherapy in 21 patients with PDAC. Mutations were assessed by using a panel covering 15 (GP15) or 50 (GP50) cancer-associated genes. Results were compared to tumor tissue (GP15), if available.Results: Isolation of ctDNA resulted in a high mean value of 1.9 ng/μL (total volume of ∼ 40 μL). Although the same number of patients were positive for at least one mutation (76%), the most commonly mutated oncogene in PDAC, KRAS, was detectable in an additional 25% of all patients with the GP15 panel due to a higher coverage. Background and Aims This study compares the effectiveness of different biologic therapies and sequences in patients with inflammatory bowel disease [IBD] using real-world data from a large cohort with long exposure. Methods Demographic, disease, treatment, and outcome data were retrieved for patients in the UK IBD BioResource. Effectiveness of treatment was based on persistence free of discontinuation or failure, analysed by Kaplan–Meier survival analysis with inverse probability of treatment weighting to adjust for differences between groups. Results In total, 13 222 evaluable patients received at least one biologic. In ulcerative colitis [UC] first-line vedolizumab [VDZ] demonstrated superior effectiveness over 5 years compared to anti-tumour necrosis factor [anti-TNF] agents [ p  = 0.006]. VDZ was superior to both infliximab [IFX] and adalimumab [ADA] after ADA and IFX failure respectively [ p  < 0.001 and p  < 0.001]. Anti-TNF therapy showed similar effectiveness when used as first-line treatment, or after failure of VDZ. In Crohn's disease [CD] we found significant differences between first-line treatments over 10 years [ p  = 0.045], with superior effectiveness of IFX compared to ADA in perianal CD. Non-anti-TNF biologics were superior to a second anti-TNF after first-line anti-TNF failure in CD [ p  = 0.035]. Patients with UC or CD experiencing TNF failure due to delayed loss of response or intolerance had superior outcomes when switching to a non-anti-TNF biologic, rather than a second anti-TNF. Conclusions We provide real-world evidence to guide biologic selection and sequencing in a range of common scenarios. Our findings challenge current guidelines regarding drug selection after loss of response to first anti-TNF treatment. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract Background Leprosy is one of the oldest mycobacterial infections and tuberculosis is the most common mycobacterial infection with a higher degree of infectivity than leprosy. Although both diseases are prevalent in clusters in developing countries, simultaneous occurrence of them in an individual is a rare entity, even in an endemic setting. Case presentation We describe six cases of tuberculosis and leprosy coinfection: a 57-year-old Sinhalese woman, a 47-year-old Tamil woman, a 72-year-old Tamil man, a 59-year-old Sinhalese man, a 54-year-old Sinhalese man, and a 50-year-old Sinhalese man. In this case series, five patients had lepromatous leprosy and the majority of patients were men. Three patients were detected to have tuberculosis at the outset of treatment of leprosy, while two developed tuberculosis later and one had extrapulmonary tuberculosis 5 years before the diagnosis of leprosy. The latter developed pulmonary tuberculosis as a reactivation while on treatment for leprosy. A majority of our patients with pulmonary tuberculosis had positive Mantoux test, high erythrocyte sedimentation rate, radiological evidence, and acid-fast bacilli in sputum. Human immunodeficiency virus and diabetes were detected in one patient. One patient had rifampicin-resistant tuberculosis, while she was on monthly rifampicin therapy for leprosy. Conclusion An immunocompromised status, such as human immunodeficiency virus infection, diabetes, and immunosuppressive drugs, are risk factors for tuberculosis infection. The use of steroids in the treatment of leprosy may increase the susceptibility to develop tuberculosis. Development of rifampicin resistance secondary to monthly rifampicin in leprosy is a major concern in treating patients coinfected with tuberculosis. Despite the paucity of reports of coinfection, it is advisable to screen for tuberculosis in patients with leprosy, especially if there are respiratory or constitutional symptoms, high erythrocyte sedimentation rate, and abnormal chest X-ray. The fact is that positive Mantoux and QuantiFERON Gold tests and presence of acid-fast bacilli in sputum are misleading, chest X-ray evidence of active tuberculosis and positive tuberculosis cultures are important diagnostic clues for active tuberculosis infection in a patient with leprosy. This is important to avoid monthly rifampicin in patients with suspected coinfections, which may lead to development of drug resistance to tuberculosis treatment. Whether prolonged steroid therapy in leprosy is a risk factor for development of tuberculosis is still controversial.

Introduction: Estimation of stature is important in the process of identifying unknown and co-mingled human remains in mass casualties and natural disasters. Forensic experts are asked by the investigating officer to help to identify the person from dismembered parts of the body and skeletal remains. Estimation of stature is based on a principle that every body part bears more or less a constant relationship with height of an individual. Literature have documented that the hand parameters can be successfully used for stature estimation. Aim: To determine the relevance of hand parameters in the estimation of stature and also to derive a regression formula for stature from the hand parameters. Materials and Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted in the Department of Forensic Medicine, Government TD Medical College, Alappuzha, Kerala, India, from June 2017 to June 2018. A total of 210 postmortem cases aged above 20 years were included in present study for the comparison of stature, hand length and hand breadth based on age were measured using standard methodology. Average of measurements of right and left hands were taken. Descriptive statistics were used to summarise height, hand breadth and hand length. Categorical and continuous variables were expressed as mean±SD. Correlation was done using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and t-test and predictive equations obtained using Karl Pearson’s correlation coefficient. Results: A total of 210 included 157 males and 53 females, and maximum subjects (78,37.1%) belonged to the age group 41-60 years. Abstract Background Crohn’s disease is a chronic inflammatory condition that can affect the gut from mouth to anus. Gastroduodenal involvement is seen in less than 5% of all patients with Crohn’s disease. Among those cases, isolated gastric Crohn’s disease is even rarer. Although most patients with isolated gastric involvement have nonspecific complaints, very few of them do develop features of pyloric obstruction. There is a paucity of data on specific management of gastric Crohn’s disease owing to its rarity and its frequent coexistence with colonic or ileal disease. We report a case of a patient who had pyloric stenosis as a manifestation of isolated gastric Crohn’s disease responding to intralesional steroid injection and balloon dilation. Case presentation A previously healthy woman presented with recurrent postprandial vomiting, epigastric discomfort, and unintentional weight loss over 6 months. She had no diarrhea or extraintestinal manifestations. Clinically, she was pale and dehydrated. Examination of systems was unremarkable except for mild epigastric tenderness. Her initial laboratory findings were normocytic normochromic anemia, high inflammatory markers, and hypokalemia. Esophagogastroduodenoscopy revealed an inflamed pyloric mucosa with features of pyloric obstruction. Furthermore, magnetic resonance enterography confirmed the pyloric stenosis. Histopathological examination of a biopsy from the pylorus revealed noncaseating granuloma with superficial ulceration. Tuberculosis and sarcoidosis were excluded by appropriate investigations, and a diagnosis of gastric Crohn’s disease was made. Following the initial resuscitation, intralesional steroid injection and controlled radial expansion balloon dilation of the pylorus were carried out. The patient was commenced on azathioprine as a maintenance treatment, which led to a successful dilation and remarkable symptom improvement. Conclusion Symptoms of pyloric obstruction as a manifestation of isolated gastric Crohn’s disease are extremely unusual in clinical practice, awareness of which would facilitate early appropriate investigations and treatment.

Abstract Background Scleredema is a rare sclerodermoid skin condition characterized by diffuse symmetrical thickening of the upper part of the body. Its association with monoclonal gammopathy and myeloma was recently described; very few cases have been reported to date. Case presentation A 66-year-old Sri Lankan woman who had been followed in a dermatology unit for 34 years with diffuse systemic sclerosis presented with an acute exacerbation of the skin disease. Absence of Raynaud’s phenomenon; sclerodactyly; characteristic lung, gastrointestinal, and cardiac involvement of systemic sclerosis; and repeatedly negative antinuclear antibodies test results led to reevaluation for the possibility of scleredema. Skin biopsies from four body sites showed normal epidermis and thickened reticular dermis with swollen collagen bundles separated from one another by clear spaces, resulting in fenestration. The skin appendages were not atrophied or bound down. Alcian blue staining showed interstitial mucin deposition. Serum protein electrophoresis demonstrated an abnormal monoclonal band in the β-region with a paraprotein level of 8.9 g/dl. Immunofixation showed an abnormal band in the γ-region consisting of immunoglobulin A and κ. Bone marrow biopsy revealed abnormal monoclonal plasma cells (15%) with multinuclearity. There was no evidence of end organ damage, and whole-body magnetic resonance imaging did not reveal any evidence of bone involvement. The patient’s diagnosis was revised as scleredema type 2 associated with IgA-κ, and she was referred to a hemato-oncologist for chemotherapy, which led to significant improvement in the skin condition. Conclusions Scleredema is a rare disorder that has an enigmatic, rare association with monoclonal gammopathy. Dermatologists should be aware of this rare but important association.

BackgroundTrichomonas vaginalis infection is underreported due to nonspecific clinical presentation and the nonavailability of sensitive laboratory diagnostic tests at the clinical setup. Hence, this study was designed to compare the sensitivity and specificity of microscopy and culture methods with polymerase chain reaction (PCR). The socio-demographic factors associated with the infection were explored.MethodsThe study was carried out at the National Sexually Transmitted Diseases and Acquired Immuno Deficiency Syndrome Control Programme in Colombo and Sexually Transmitted Diseases and Acquired Immuno Deficiency Syndrome Control Programme in Kandy. Samples were collected from a total of 385 patients including, 272 females (70.7%) and 113 males (29.3%), and tested using microscopy (wet mount and Giemsa staining), culture, and PCR. Genus-specific primer set (TFR1/TFR2) that amplifies 5.8S rRNA and species-specific primer sets (TV16Sf-2/TV16Sr-2 and TVK3/7) that amplifies 18S rRNA and repetitive DNA, respectively, were used. Patient's socio-demographic and sexual behaviour data were obtained using a standard interviewer-administered questionnaire. Data were analyzed with R statistical software Version 3.6.3.ResultsThe overall prevalence of trichomoniasis was 4.4% (17/385). Of these, six (1.6%) were positive for microscopic examination, 7 (1.8%) were positive for culture, and 13 (3.4%) for TVK3/7, 15 (3.9%) for TV16Sf/r, and TFR1/2 17 (4.4%) were positive for PCR. Sensitivities of PCR using TFR1/2, TV16Sf/r, and TVK3/7 primer sets were 100%, 88.20%, and 76.50%, respectively, against the expanded gold standard. Trichomoniasis was associated with age above 36 (p = 0.033), not using condoms in last three months (p = 0.016), multiple sex partners (p = 0.001), reason for attendance (p = 0.027), symptomatic nature (p = 0.015), and the presence of other sexually transmitted diseases (p = 0.001).ConclusionsThe study highlighted that age over 36 years, multiple sex partners, not using condoms, reason for attendance, symptomatic nature, and having other sexually transmitted diseases can increase the risk of acquiring trichomoniasis. Furthermore, this study confirmed PCR as highly sensitive and specific diagnostic test for the diagnosis of trichomoniasis in comparison to microscopy and culture methods.

Abstract 5´AMP–activated protein kinase (AMPK) is a mediator of a healthy metabolic phenotype in skeletal muscle. Metformin may exacerbate the energy disturbances observed during exercise leading to enhanced AMPK activation, and these disturbances may provoke early muscular fatigue. We studied acute (1 day) and short‐term (4 days) effects of metformin treatment on AMPK and its downstream signaling network, in healthy human skeletal muscle and adipose tissue at rest and during exercise, by applying a randomized blinded crossover study design in 10 lean men. Muscle and fat biopsies were obtained before and after the treatment period at rest and after a single bout of exercise. Metformin treat ment elicited peak plasma and muscle metformin concentrations of 31 μM and 11 μM, respectively. Neither of the treatments affected AMPK activity in skeletal muscle and adipose at rest or during exercise. In contrast, whole‐body stress during exercise was elevated as indicated by increased plasma lactate and adrenaline concentrations as well as increased heart rate and rate of perceived exertion. Also whole‐body insulin sensitivity was enhanced by 4 days metformin treatment, that is reduced fasting plasma insulin and HOMA‐IR. In conclusion, acute and short‐term metformin treatment does not affect energy homeostasis and AMPK activation at rest or during exercise in skeletal muscle and adipose tissue of healthy subjects. However, metformin treatment is accompanied by slightly enhanced perceived exertion and whole‐body stress which may provoke a lesser desire for physical activity in the metformin‐treated patients.

As a grain with high nutritional content and tolerance to extreme weather, millet has a potential food business. However, the processing is necessary to enhance the physical and nutritional quality of millet. Food products with minimal processing, improved sensorial and natural flavors, with no added chemicals to preserve them are in greater demand among customers. High‐quality product produced using green alternative processing techniques significantly evolved in the last two decades. Moreover, recent years see potential study of cold plasma technology in the food industry for increased functional attributes and energy efficiency. This review has been framed to describe the impact of cold plasma on the quality attributes of millet and millet products exploring cold plasma research on millet products, focusing on nutrition, anti‐nutrient reduction, structural, physicochemical, digestive, hydration, and functional properties. Furthermore, this work pursues to improve interventions by identifying the knowledge gaps in the processing of millet using cold plasma. Practical Applications: The shelf life of the millet products is extended as a result of the plasma treatment, through the reduction in the moisture content. During the early stages of storage, millet flour is affected by rancidity, which is positively treated by plasma processing. The water absorption and swelling capacity of the treated millet sample have increased along with a rise in solubility. Therefore, the hydration and pasting abilities of millet improved, making it possible to utilize it in complementary food formulations as well as for the development of viscous foods.
