The paper presents the experimental results on ionic conductivity and chemical diffusion in nonstoichiometric nanocrystalline superionic materials NaxCu1.75S (x = 0.1, 0.15, 0.2, 25). High values of the coefficient of conjugated chemical diffusion of cations and electronic holes (1.1∙10−3 and 1.65∙10−3 cm2/s at 410 °C) were observed in the studied electron-ionic conductors Na0.10Cu1.75S and Na0.20Cu1.75S. Activation energies of the total ionic conductivity are measured as 0.30 and 0.40 eV for superionic Na0.10Cu1.75S and Na0.15Cu1.75S phases respectively. In the superionic phases, the measured values of the total ionic conductivity are 2.8, 1.5, and 2.0 S/cm for Na0.10Cu1.75S, Na0.15Cu1.75S, and Na0.20Cu1.75S at 410 °C respectively. Thus, insertion of sodium to copper sulfide did not lead to worse of high ionic conductivity in the superionic phase. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The article presents the results of many years of research on the effect of foliar dressing with complex fertilizers and humate on photosynthetic activity and productivity of potato plants of Gala and Latona varieties. The following options have been studied: 1) without treatment (control); 2) dressing with Ekorost humate at a dose of 0.2-0.4 l/ha; 3) dressing with micronutrient Strada N at a dose of 3-5 l/ha; 4) dressing with micronutrient Strada R at a dose of 3-5 l/ha. The treatment was carried out twice during the growing season: when full shoots appeared and 14 days after the first one. Determination of the leaf area and calculation of the photosynthetic potential were carried out according to the VNIIKH method (1967) three times during the growing season in the following phases: budding, flowering, and the beginning of withering away of lower leaves. The crop was harvested by the method of continuous harvesting of the accounting area of the plots with weighing. The effectiveness of the studied agrotechnical methods has been proved. The best variant of the investigated ones is the use of Strada R. The plants of this variant formed a more powerful assimilation apparatus and had the highest photosynthetic potential, which ultimately affected the yield of tubers. The increase in the yield of two varieties of potatoes was 21.8-23.1 % in relation to the control. Gala variety turned out to be more responsive to the action of vegetative treatments in comparison with Latona variety.

Copper sulfide is a multifunctional material. Copper sulfides are known to be used in photo-electric converters, in plasmonics, in active electrodes of batteries and supercapacitors, etc. The excellent thermoelectric properties of copper sulfide are well-known too. The purpose of this study is to investigate the thermoelectric performance of nanocomposite copper sulfide contained monoclinic Cu 2 S and tetragonal Cu 1.96 S phase. According to scanning electron microscopy, the average particle size of the synthesized powder was about 373 nm. The Li 0.11 Cu 1.89 S sample showed an electronic conductivity of 50-180 S/cm, a Seebeck coefficient of 0.04-0.31 mV/K in the range of 300-700 K, and high power factor 5.8 μW K -2 cm -1 at 672 K. Total thermal conductivity decreases with increasing temperature from 0.61 to 0.22 W∙K -1 m -1 in the range of 300-700 K. Such low thermal conductivity and high power factor made it possible to achieve an extremely high dimensionless thermoelectric figure of merit ZT = 1.76 at 672 K, which allows to consider the Li 0.11 Cu 1.89 S alloy as a promising thermoelectric material., Competing Interests: The authors declare the following financial interests/personal relationships which may be considered as potential competing interests: Kubenova Marzhan reports financial support was provided by L N Gumilyov Eurasian National University.
