11. Establishing Optimized Harmonic Injection Order of Sequential Overmodulation Strategies for Seven-Phase Induction Motors

Abstract

With the aim of minimizing harmonic injection, sequential overmodulation strategy has been developed recently for multiphase machines. The present study provides the first comprehensive assessment of the sequential overmodulation strategies with different optimized order. Distinctively, the sequential overmodulation strategy derived in this letter introduces harmonics into the higher order subspace at the first stage. A seven-phase induction motor is utilized as the prototype to evaluate different overmodulation strategies. In essence, comparative results determine and establish the notion that it is desirable to activate the lower harmonic subspace firstly in order to achieve the optimal harmonic injection, which further refines the theory of sequential overmodulation strategy.

Abstract

This paper explores the issue of constructing multilevel current source converter (MCSC) topologies using the duality principle. Three circuit cells for MCSCs are derived from the applications of the duality on the three common leg circuit cells of multilevel voltage source converters (MVSCs). Based on the presented three cells, three families of MCSC topologies, which are also corresponding to three families of MVSCs, are constructed. Analytical results show that these derived MCSCs and their corresponding MVSCs present analogous features such as the ac side currents/ voltages and inductor/capacitor currents/voltages, though they are not direct dual structures. Some experimental results are given to verify the presented MCSC structures. Index Terms--Current source converter (CSC), duality, multilevel, topology, voltage source converter (VSC).

Abstract

In order to satisfy the various requirements of future network services, 5G wireless network is proposed and becoming a hot topic in academic and industrial field. Location-based services are widely used with the development of wireless communication and mobile Internet technology. A number of popular spatial-temporal cloaking technologies have been proposed, and the number of users in an anonymizing spatial region (ASR) is uncontrollable. This paper, based on the semi-trusted server architecture proposes a location cloaking algorithm (LCA) based on combinatorial optimization. First, the semi-trusted server architecture divides the information of mobile users into three parts, so adversaries are unable to obtain the location and identity at the same time, then utilize the spatial $k$ -anonymity algorithm LCA to hide the real locations of user, which controls the number of real users to around $k$ in the anonymous result sets (Aset), so that both the number of users in ASR and the area of ASR are minimized, thereby improving query precision and decreasing the resources consumption. Finally, complete further improvement that the location is distinguishable in ASR and the query contents are diverse in Aset. Simulations show that the LCA performs well on cloaking success rate, query precision, and resources saving.
