Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi performa ventilasi (kondisi existing) ruang kuliah yang ada di tiga kampus yaitu Fakultas Teknik Universitas Hasanuddin (FT-Unhas), Fakultas Teknik Universitas Muslim Indonesia (FT-UMI), dan Fakultas Teknik Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar (FT-Unismuh). Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode eksperimen dan survei, analisis menggunakan metode simulasi CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics). Parameter input dalam simulasi diperoleh melalui pengukuran di lapangan berupa dimensi ruang kuliah, luas bukaan ventilasi, dan parameter iklim mikro. Simulasi dilakukan pada kondisi bukaan maksimum pada sistem ventilasi existing dengan perlakuan pintu kelas terbuka dan tertutup. Perlakuan terhadap kecepatan angin untuk input (v) adalah 0,25m/det, 0,5m/det, 0,75m/det dan 1,00m/det. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem ventilasi eksisting ruang-ruang kuliah dari tiga kampus yang diteliti, hasil terbaik diperoleh di ruang kuliah FT-Unhas Gowa. Dengan rasio bukaan 16,59-22,76% dari luas lantai, sistem ventilasi ruang kelas ini cukup baik untuk mengalirkan dan mendistribusikan pergerakan udara yang nyaman di dalam ruang terutama pada kecepatan angin di atas 0,5m/det.

Saat pemerintah mulai membolehkan kembali tatap muka di kelas, sebagaimana protokol kesehatan di masa pandemi Covid-19, perangkat pendingin udara di dalam ruangan (air conditioner/AC) tidak lagi digunakan dan beralih menggunakan penghawaan alami. Kondisi tersebut dapat menyebabkan masalah terhadap kondisi lingkungan termal di ruang kelas yang berpotensi memengaruhi kenyamanan termal siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis kondisi lingkungan termal di ruang kelas di area suburban pada masa pandemi COVID-19. Survei dilakukan untuk mendapatkan data kondisi lingkungan termal mulai pukul 08:00 - 13:00 WITA. Hasil survei memperlihatkan kondisi temperatur udara (Ta) rata-rata 29.80°C, kelembaban relatif (RH) rata-rata 67.71%, kecepatan aliran udara (V) rata-rata 0.05m/s, Mean Radian Temperature (MRT) rata-rata 29.67°C dan temperatur operatif (Top) rata-rata 29.72°C. Hasil analisis menggunakan CBE Thermal Comfort Tool dengan metode PMV (Predicted Mean Vote) memperlihatkan bahwa saat pagi hari, sensasi termal yang dirasakan “sedikit hangat” (slightly warm), seiring peningkatan temperatur, penurunan kelembaban, dan kecepatan aliran udara di siang hari maka temperatur operatif (Top) pun meningkat yang menyebabkan sensasi termal berubah menjadi “panas” (warm) dengan nilai PMV, PPD, dan SET yang meningkat pula. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa kondisi lingkungan termal di ruang kelas tidak memenuhi standar ASHRAE-55.

Data from the World Health Organization shows that the incidence of dysmenorrhea is quite high throughout the world. The average incidence of dysmenorrhea in young women is between 16,8%-81%. The prevalence of adolescent girls in Indonesia is that the incidence of dysmenorrhea is 64,25%, consisting of 54,89% primary dysmenorrhea and 9,36% secondary dysmenorrhea. The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors associated with the incidence of dysmenorrhea in SMA Negeri 1 Lolak. This study used an analytic observational design with a cross sectional study design with a sample size of 68 respondents. The sampling technique used was total sampling. Data for each variable was collected using a questionnaire through interviews and then the data was then analyzed by univariate and bivariate with chi square test. The results of research conducted at SMAN 1 Lolak showed that there was a relationship between the age of menarche and the incidence of dysmenorrhea in class XI students (p = 0,030 < 0,05), there was a relationship between family history and the incidence of dysmenorrhea in class XI students (p = 0,039 < 0,05), and there is a relationship between exercise habits and the incidence of dysmenorrhea in class XI students (p=0,024

Insulin Plant is a plant that has potency to be used as an antidiabetic drug. This is due to the presence of the chemical content of alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, tannins and polyphenols. A research on the effects of insulin antidiabetic extract stem test (Tithonia diversifolia [Hemsl] A. Gray) in the which stem insulin was extracted by maceration using 96% ethanol, antidiabetic tests conducted using test animals mice induced with streptozotocin 40 mg/kg intraperitoneally. Tested animals were Divided into 5 groups, call now was given a different treatment. The treatment I was given a suspension of 1% Na CMC as a negative control. Treatment II, III and IV administered insulin stem extract per call now with a dose of 125 mg / kg, 250 mg / kg and 500 mg / kg. Treatment of V given glibenclamide suspension as a positive control. Blood glucose levels were measured using glucometer mice. Data were Analyzed using ANOVA statistical tests at 95% confidence level. The analysis shows that the stem extract of insulin (Tithonia diversifolia) is proven to lower blood glucose levels Significantly for rats, after treatment for 14 days and the dose of insulin stem extract are effective in lowering the blood glucose level is 250 mg / kg.

Buah alpukat (Parsea americana Mill) merupakan buah yang dapat tumbuh di daerah torpis dan subtropis. Buah alpukat (Parsea americana Mill) memiliki rasa yang enak sehingga digemari oleh banyak masyarakat Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan kadar flavonoid pada kulit buah alpukat hijau panjang, alpukat hijau bulat dan alpukat merah bulat. Serbuk kulit buah alpukat diekstrak dengan cara maserasi. Pelarut yang digunakan yaitu pelarut etanol. Larutan standar yang digunakan yaitu larutan standar kuersetin dengan variasi konsentrasi 5%, 20%, 40%, 60%, 80% dan 100%. Penentuan kadar flavonoid total menggunakan alat spektrofotometri UV-Vis dengan panjang gelombang 431 nm. Hasil penelitian menunjukan kadar flavonoid pada kulit buah alpukat hijau panjang sebesar 1614,286 mg/100g, alpukat hijau bulat 1340,476 mg/100g dan alpukat merah bulat 1385,714 mg/100g.

Diarrhea is still a health problem in the world, there are about 2 million cases of diarrhea worldwide every year, and 1,9 million children under five years die from diarrhea every year. Diarrhea in Indonesia is an endemic disease and it is very potential for Extraordinary Events to occur. Diarrhea was the 3rd highest infectious disease in North Sulawesi in 2016 with a total of 23,881 cases. This study aims to analyze the relationship between the use of clean water and the use of latrines with the incidence of diarrhea in children under five in Gogagoman Village, Kotamobagu City. This study used a cross sectional study design with a total sample of 130 children under five. The subject of this research is the mother/the closest person to the toddler. The sampling technique used is simple random sampling. The data collection instrument used a questionnaire and an observation sheet. The data were then analyzed by univariate and bivariate using chi square test. The results showed that there was a relationship between the use of clean water and the incidence of diarrhea in children under five (p = 0,036

One of the largest energy consumers in the world is buildings. The energy consumption comes from the lighting system. Energy use in buildings is generally 25% for lighting systems. The strategy used in building design is to reduce energy consumption while maintaining the best comfort in a building. The application of energy-saving concepts from the building sector is optimizing the lighting system by integrating natural and artificial lighting systems. This study aims to determine the light intensity in the integrated lighting system of natural and artificial manually and also to find out how much energy can be saved with the integrated lighting system manually. The research location is at the Mega Bank Makassar Tower Building. The research sample was selected by purposive sampling and the sixth floor was chosen as the research location. In this study, simulations were carried out using the DIAlux 4.13 program to integrate natural and artificial light and to calculate the amount of energy efficiency in the workspace. To obtain optimal light intensity and energy savings, a simulation was carried out by turning off half the light points in the workspace, especially the light points around the building openings. The simulation results show that the average integrated lighting quality meets the minimum lighting requirements and can save energy usage by up to 50%. This study aims to determine the level of air quality in the parking building based on the pollution content in it (CO, CO2, HCHO and, VOC), to analyze the effect of the weather, intensity of motorized vehicle traffic, and surface elevation to the air quality. The dependent variable is the level of air pollution. The research sample is the Makassar Bosowa Tower Parking Building, data collection was carried out by direct measurement and observation in 12 days from November 24th till December 17th. The research was done using the comparative method, The data processed using the Mann-Whitney difference test, and the Spearman correlation test using SPSS application. The results showed that the average CO levels had exceeded the limit of good air quality, the average of CO2 levels was still within the limits for good air quality, and the average of HCHO and VOC levels were mostly within the limits for good indoor air quality, according to The Indonesia Minister of Health Regulation Number 1077 in 2011. The result of measurements and tests shows that the changes in the weather do not have a significant effect on the air quality. The amount and the intensity of motorized vehicle traffic affect the air quality, especially during rainy weather.

Kasus demam berdarah dengue (DBD) di Indonesia pada tahun 2017 dilaporkan sebanyak 68,407 kasus dengan jumlah kasus meninggal sebanyak 493 orang dan IR 26,12. Provinsi Sulawesi Utara menempati urutan kedua yang memiliki CFR tinggi (1,55%) setelah Gorontalo (2,18%). Demam berdarah dengue (DBD) merupakan salah satu penyakit yang ditularkan oleh vektor nyamuk Aedes sp. Distribusi nyamuk Aedes sp dipengaruhi oleh perubahan lingkungan seperti ketinggian, suhu dan keadaan lingkungan. Masyarakat urban yang menggunakan tandon atau bejana sebagai tempat penampungan air yang tidak tertutup dapat meningkatkan populasi nyamuk Aedes sp menjadi tinggi. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian yang bersifat deskriptif dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 62 rumah yang ambil dengan teknik quota sampling. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan lembar observasi kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif dan disajikan dalam bentuk tabel dan narasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan dari 115 rumah dan 516 yang diperiksa didapatkan 41 rumah dan 61 kontainer yang positif jentik Aedes sp dengan nilai House Index (HI) sebesar 35,65%, kemudian dari 516 kontainer yang diperiksa didapatkan 61 kontainer yang positif jentik Aedes sp dengan Container Index (CI) sebesar 11,82%, dan Bretau Index (BI) sebesar 53,04%. Hasil perhitungan House Index (HI) menunjukkan angka 35,65% dengan Desinty Figure (DF) adalah 5 yang menunjukkan kepadatan populasi larva di Kelurahan Mogolaing Kotamobagu masuk kedalam kategori sedang. Hal ini menunjukkan derajat penularan penyakit demam berdarah dengue (DBD) yang dibawa oleh vektor nyamuk Aedes sp adalah sedang sehingga perlu menjadi perhatian dan diwaspadai akan potensi kasus demam berdarah dengue (DBD) menjadi tinggi.

This study aimed to determine cyanide contents in cassava leaves (Manihot esculenta Crantz) based on boiling time with the formation of hydrindantin complex using UV-Vis spectrophotometry. The variation of boiling time was 0, 5, 10, and 15 minutes respectively. The cyanide content was prepared by extracting the sample using water for 2 hours. Then the sample was distilled to obtain a distillate that containing cyanide. Determination of cyanide was carried out by reacting samples containing cyanide with 1% ninhydrin and 0.5% Na2CO3, then adding 1 M NaOH to form blue hydrindantin compounds in an alkaline condition. Blue hydrindantin compounds formed were analyzed by spectrophotometry at a maximum wavelength of 590 nm. The results showed that cyanide contents in cassava leaves based on boiling time 0, 5, 10, and 15 minutes respectively were 20.73 ppm, 13.92 ppm, 9.18 ppm, and 3.38 ppm. The longer the cassava leaves were boiled, the better it was to be consumed because it will significantly reduce cyanide contents.

The problem that often arises for workers in the industrial sector, including household industries such as gold craftsmen, is work fatigue. Data shows the prevalence of work fatigue in workers reaches from 10% to 40%. Gold craftsmen who are still working manually, working longer than 8 hours/day and having a body posture that is not ideal so they are at risk of experiencing work fatigue. This study aims to determine the relationship between length of work and nutritional status with work fatigue on gold craftsmen in Malimongan Village, Wajo District, Makassar City. This type of analytic observational research uses a cross sectional study approach, involving 30 gold craftsmen as respondents who were taken by simple random sampling. Collecting data using questionnaires, body scales and stature meters which are then analyzed using non-parametric methods with the Kruskal Wallis test. The results showed that the length of work 8 hours/day was 44,3%, normal nutritional status was 70% and work fatigue was 60%. Statistical analysis showed that there was a relationship between length of work and work fatigue for gold craftsmen (p-value=0,016) while nutritional status and work fatigue were obtained (p-value=0,311). In conclusion, it is known that there is a relationship between length of work and work fatigue, and there is no relationship between nutritional status and work fatigue in gold craftsmen.

The purpose of this study was to determine the regeneration activity of pancreatic beta cells by a combination of the ethanol extracts of Moringa leaves and Clove flower. These extracts prepared by maceration with ethanol as solvent . This is an experimental laboratory research by using post test only group design . The subject of this research is 40 white male rats of Wistar strain ( Rattus norvegicus ) and were conditioned DM by streptozotozine-nicotinamide induction . The rats randomly divided into 8 groups , and each group consisted of 5 rats . Combination dose of Moringa leaves and Clove flowers extracts used are 150 : 40 mg / kg body weight of mice , 100 : 80 mg / kg body weight of mice and 50 : 120 mg / kg body weight of mice . The rats were sacrificed and the pancreas taken to be made preparations histopathology , staining and observation tissues with HE and IHC methods. The results showed that the staining and observation tissues of heart with HE method acquired the positive control group , the single test group and the combination group were showing the islet on the Langerhans island of the pancreas is bigger than in the negative control group. The morphology of the island of Langerhans increasingly large indicates increasing the regeneration of the cells of the islet beta pancreas; whereas the method of IHC acquired the negative control group seen lack of display intensity of positive reaction Ag & Ab beta cells with are marked with brown cells . In the positive control group , the single test group and the combination group , seen a positive reaction of Ag & Ab insulin-producing beta cells characterized by brown cells and insulin expression dominating pancreatic island of Langerhans.

Hipertensi masih menjadi masalah kesehatan masyarakat yang cukup besar. Prevelensi hipertensi pada kelompok umur lansia mengalami peningkatan kasus yang cukup tinggi sebesar 63,2% (65-74 tahun) dan 69,5% (lebih dari 75 tahun). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis hubungan pola makan dengan tingkat hipertensi pada lansia di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Molibagu. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan observasional analitik dengan rancangan cross sectional dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 31 responden. Teknik penarikan sampel yang digunakan adalah Total Sampling. Data dikumpulkan dengan wawancara langsung kepada responden dan dianalisis secara univariat dan bivariat dengan menggunakan uji chi square. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat 61,3% responden yang menderita hipertensi, 67,7% responden yang memiliki pola makan kurang baik dan 32,3% yang memiliki pola makan yang baik. Hasil uji statistik diperoleh ada hubungan pola makan dengan kejadian hipertensi (p=0,014 lebih kecil 0,05). Maka dapat disimpulkan ada hubungan antara pola makan dengan kejadian hipertensi di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Molibagu Kabupaten Bolaang Mongondow Selatan. Saran kepada masyarakat khususnya pada lansia untuk selalu mengontrol tekanan darah dan menjaga pola makan yang sehat dengan menghindari makanan yang tinggi natrium dan berlemak.

Thermal comfort of residential rental flats is one of the problems from the ventilation aspect considering that the planning of flats is based on natural ventilation. This article is intended to formulate an alternative to the neutral temperature equation from the equation proposed by Humphrey, Auliciem, de Dear, Nicol, and Roaf with day and night measurement times. Measurements were carried out for three weeks in a student rental apartment building, Hasanuddin University Faculty of Engineering in Bontomarannu, Gowa Regency, which has 5 floors with 104 rooms. Measurements were made with 2,577 respondents during the day, and 2,043 at night. During the day, with an operating temperature between 29.2℃ to 31.0℃, the neutral temperature (Tn) obtained from the PMV model is 27.6℃ (To). This figure is lower than the actual choice of the TSV scale and the TCV scale, which were 30.3℃ (To) and 29.7℃ (To), respectively. At night, with an operating temperature between 27.7℃ to 29.5℃, the neutral temperature (Tn) obtained from the PMV model is 26.2℃ (To). Meanwhile, the neutral temperature obtained from the respondents' actual choices (TSV and TCV) were 28.8℃ (To) and 28.2℃ (To), respectively. The neutral temperature equations presented in the Humphrey, Auliciem, de Dear, Nicol, and Roaf equations show a lower thermal coefficient than the corrected thermal coefficient and the elaboration of the equations carried out in this study, both from daytime measurements and from night measurements.

Kasus stunting di Indonesia masih tergolong tinggi dengan menyentuh angka 30,8%. Angka ini masih jauh dari standar WHO yaitu 20%. Angka prevalensi stunting di Sulawesi Utara sebesar 25,5%, meskipun angka stunting Sulawesi Utara di bawah angka nasional (30,8%) namun masih ada empat daerah dengan angka prevalensi stunting yang cukup tinggi termasuk kabupaten Bolaang Mongondow sebesar 30,6%. Tujuan pengabdian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat Desa Muntoi Kecamatan Passi Barat Kabupaten Bolaang Mongondow tentang pencegahan stunting . Metode yang digunakan adalah ceramah interaktif dan tanya jawab. Hasil penyuluhan menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata skor pengetahuan masyarakat tentang stunting pada saat pre-test adalah 10,43 dan pada saat post-test meningkat menjadi 19,60. Dampak pengabdian ini adalah meningkatnya pengetahuan masyarakat tentang pencegahan stunting dengan perbedaan nilai rata-rata skor pengetahuan peserta penyuluhan pada saat pre-test dan post-test dengan angka 9,17. Untuk itu disarankan kepada masyarakat khususnya pada ibu untuk melakukan pencegahan stunting dengan pemenuhan asupan gizi selama hamil, melahirkan dan anak sebelum usia 2 tahun. Abstract: Stunting cases in Indonesia are still high, touching 30.8%. This figure is still far from the WHO standard of 20%. The stunting prevalence rate in North Sulawesi is 25.5%, although North Sulawesi's stunting rate is below the national rate (30.8%), there are still four regions with a fairly high stunting prevalence rate including Bolaang Mongondow district of 30.6%. The purpose of this service is to increase the knowledge of the people of Muntoi Village, Passi Barat District, Bolaang Mongondow Regency about the prevention of stunting. The methods used are interactive lectures and question and answer. The results showed that the average score of public knowledge about stunting at the pre-test was 10.43 and at the time of the post-test it increased to 19.60. The impact of this service is an increase in public knowledge about stunting prevention with the difference in the mean score of knowledge of the extension participants during the pre-test and post-test with a figure of 9.17. For this reason, it is recommended to the public, especially mothers, to prevent stunting by fulfilling nutritional intake during pregnancy, childbirth and children before the age of 2 years.

Mackerel (Rastrelliger sp.) is one of the potential pelagic fish in Indonesia and in almost all Indonesian waters. In general, fish bones contain many essential ingredients for the body and can be processed into fish bone flour. This study aimed to determine calcium (Ca) and potassium (K) levels in mackerel (Rastrelliger sp.) bones. Calcium and potassium levels were determined using an atomic absorption spectrophotometry (AAS). Results of the analysis showed that the water, ash, and biomass levels of the sample were 10.53, 18.26, and 71.21%, respectively. Analysis of calcium and potassium levels at wavelengths 422.7 nm and 766.5 nm obtained an average of 508.15 and 36.37 mg/100g. The results indicate that the calcium level is higher than the potassium level in mackerel (Rastrelliger sp.) bones.

Latar belakang:Skabies merupakan penyakit kulit yang masih sering dijumpai di Indonesia dan tetap menjadi masalah kesehatan masyarakat. Angka prevalensi skabies diseluruh dunia dilaporkan sekitar 300 juta kasus per tahun dimana di Indonesia skabies menduduki urutan ketiga dari 12 penyakit kulit tersering.Tujuan:Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan kebiasaan mandi dan kebiasaan ganti pakaian dengan kejadian skabies di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Juntinyuat Kabupaten Indramayu tahun 2018.Metode Penelitian:Jenis penelitian yang digunakan observasional analitik dengan rancangan cross sectional dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 43 responden. Teknik penarikan sampel yang digunakan adalah Acidental Sampling. Data dikumpulkan dengan wawancara langsung kepada responden dan dianalisis secara univariat dan bivariat dengan menggunakan uji chi square.Hasil:Hasil uji statistik diperoleh ada hubungan antara kebiasaan mandi dengan kejadian skabies di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Juntinyuat Kabupaten Indramayu (p=0,007

Title: Natural Light Intensity Analysis in Classroom; Case Study: Classroom at Bosowa University Lighting is an important part of buildings in supporting the productivity of human labor. Insufficient lighting can interfere with human activities and could cause health problems, like eye disorders. Building design must consider the functions and needs so that residents can feel comfortable. Good lighting levels can be achieved by utilizing natural and artificial lighting. The purpose of this study was to analyze the level of illumination in a room that is directly related to the openings of the building envelope and to analyze the different levels of illumination in classrooms with different orientations. Quantitative research methods by distributing measurement data in the form of tables, diagrams and graphs. Data analysis was performed using statistics and data analysis techniques, the results of the measurement were statistically descriptive. This study analyzed the differences in the level of illumination in the northern orientation and southern orientation classrooms. Based on the results of the analysis it can be concluded that the orientation of the building affects the level of illumination in the room. During the day the level of illumination is higher in the direction of orientation north than the direction of orientation south, especially the measurement point in the area close to the openings of the building envelope, but in this study the direction of classroom orientation towards the south is higher the level of illumination compared to the north orientation classrooms. This is understood by the treatment of building glass sheaths in the north orientation direction in the form of the use of frosted glass wallpaper, so it can be concluded that changes to the building facade affect the level of room illumination. The results of this study are expected to be a reference in building facade concepts and designing energy-efficient buildings.

Acute respiratory tract infections are diseases of the upper or lower respiratory tract, which can cause a wide spectrum of diseases ranging from asymptomatic or mild infections to deadly diseases. The high cases of acute respiratory infections in East Muntoi Village are caused by the arrival of the dry season which causes a lot of dust and hot weather as well as the lack of public knowledge about acute respiratory infections. The aim of this service is to increase the knowledge of the people of Muntoi Timur Village, Passi Barat District, Bolaang Mongondow Regency, about acute respiratory infections. This community service is carried out in Muntoi Timur Village, Passi Barat District with the target of hamlets 04 and 05. The methods used are phased from the planning (pre-test), the implementation phase (health education) and the evaluation stage (post-test). The results of this activity are increased public knowledge about the understanding, causes, risk factors, symptoms, prevention and management of acute respiratory infections. It is suggested that the active role of health workers be needed to always provide health education to the community related to acute respiratory infections, so that the community can improve their health independently.

Background. The problem of premarital sexual behavior tends to be done by middle adolescent groups (15-18 years). Some permissive dating behaviors by adolescents include holding hands when dating (92%), kissing (82%), palpation (63%). Objective. The puspose ostudy aims to determine the determinants of premarital sexual behavior in adolescents at State High School No 1 Kotamobagu. Method. This study applied an analytic cross-sectional design with a sample of 299 school-age adolescents aged 14-18 years. The sampling technique used was stratified random sampling. Data were collected by direct interviews with respondents and analyzed univariately and bivariately using the chi square test. Results. The results of this study found there is a relationship between knowledge (p = 0.000), attitudes about sexuality (p = 0.001), and peer influence (p = 0.025) with premarital sexual behavior in adolescents. Conclusion. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that there is a relationship between knowledge, attitudes about sexuality, and the influence of peers with premarital sexual behavior in adolescents.

Thermal conditions in buildings are influenced by climatic conditions and are determined by the thermal performance of the building itself. The thermal condition is caused by the transfer of heat flow between the environment and the building. This study aims to analyze the value of temperature, humidity, solar radiation, and wind speed with the presence of the water element as a modifier of the microclimate in the building as well as thermal comfort for the adaptation of visitor behavior. The research focus is on the water element and the sensation of the thermal environment with public building objects. Field research based on ASHRAE 55 2020 and ISO 7730 standards. Four environmental parameters were measured, namely temperature, humidity, solar radiation, and air velocity. Data were obtained through field measurements using quantitative methods through analysis of the Predicted Mean Vote (PMV) thermal comfort index, Predicted Percentage of Dissatisfied (PPD), and Standard Effective Temperature (SET). The data is processed using a statistical approach and then simulated with 2-dimensional numerical data using the Thermal Comfort Tool (CBE) software after which it is compared with the thermal comfort index. PMV, PPD, and SET are generated and refer to the ASHRAE 55-2020 standard. Meanwhile, the sensation of the thermal environment based on behavioral adaptation was analyzed based on the results of the questionnaire answers using the thermal sensation vote (TSV). The results show that the analysis of the thermal environment in the context of the microclimate in the building, thermal comfort as well as water and landscape elements are important potentials that can provide positive values, improve quality, and maintain microclimate stability at the building scale and regional scale and need to be controlled and taken action. adaptive in buildings such as setting water elements and ventilation systems in buildings to provide a passive cooling effect on buildings.

Pneumonia merupakan salah satu penyakit infeksi saluran pernapasan akut bagian bawah yang menjadi penyebab utama morbiditas dan mortalitas anak berusia dibawah lima tahun terutama di negara yang sedang berkembang. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan jenis lantai rumah dan jenis dinding rumah dengan kejadian pneumonia pada balita di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Plumbon. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan observasional analitik dengan rancangan cross sectional dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 43 responden. Teknik penarikan sampel yang digunakan adalah Acidental Sampling. Data dikumpulkan dengan wawancara langsung kepada responden dan dianalisis secara univariat dan bivariat dengan menggunakan uji chi square. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 62,8% responden yang mempunyai balita menderita pneumonia, 44,2% responden yang memiliki jenis lantai rumah yang tidak memenuhi syarat kesehatan dan terdapat 51,2% resespon yang memiliki jenis dinding rumah yang tidak memenuhi syarat kesehatan. Hasil uji statistik diperoleh ada hubungan antara jenis lantai rumah dengan kejadian pneumonia pada balita (p = 0,010 < 0,05) dan ada hubungan antara jenis dinding rumah dengan kejadian pneumonia pada balita (p = 0,008 < 0,05) di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Plumbon. Kesimpulan dari dua variabel ada hubungan antara jenis lantai rumah dan jenis dinding rumah dengan kejadian pneumonia pada balita di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Plumbon.Kata Kunci: Lantai, Dinding, Pneumonia, Balita

Study on the emulsion stability and cadmium ion extraction tests was performed using the liquid membrane emulsion technique. This study aimed to determine the emulsion stability between the membrane phase and the internal phase with the variation of the ratio (2:1, 1:1, 2:3, and 1:2), and to determine the maximum conditions of cadmium ion extraction in a solution including the various concentration of HNO3 solution 1, 1.5, 2, and 2.5 M. This study is a laboratory experimental method using benzoyl acetone compound as cation carrier, kerosene as membrane phase, HNO3 solution as the internal phase, span-20 and span-80 as surfactants, and cadmium solution as the sample solution. Cadmium ion concentration in the external phase was determined by UV-VIS spectrophotometer. The result showed that the emulsion stability test which produced the most stable emulsion was in the ratio of the membrane phase and the internal phase 1:1. In addition, the concentration of the HN03 solution resulted in a maximum extraction percentage of 1.5 M with an extraction percentage was 95.28%.

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengidentifikasi intensitas pencahayaan alami pada bangunan sekolah dasar di wilayah pesisir Sulawesi Selatan, dan kemudian meninjau kesesuaiannya dengan standar pencahayaan alami bangunan.. Penelitian ini merupakan langkah awal dari upaya konservasi energi dengan pemanfaatan cahaya alami sebagai sumber pencahayaan bangunan, utamanya untuk ruang-ruang kelas yang hanya dipergunakan pada pagi hingga sore hari. Metode penelitian ini yaitu kuantitatif yang datanya diperoleh melalui survei dan pengukuran langsung di lokasi penelitian. Ada enam sekolah dasar di wilayah pesisir Sulawesi Selatan yang dijadikan sampel penelitian. Sekolah-sekolah tersebut berlokasi di Kabupaten Barru, Pare-Pare dan Pinrang. Sampel dipilih secara purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sebagian besar intensitas cahaya alami ruang kelas sekolah dasar di areal pesisir pantai Sulawesi Selatan berada di bawah standar pencahayaan rata-rata SNI ruang kelas. Sebanyak 83,2% dibawah nilai standar pencahayaan rata-rata SNI untuk ruang kelas dan hanya sebanyak 16,8% yang memenuhi nilai standar SNI.

Pemanfaatan energi matahari sebagai sumber pencahayaan alami pada rumah tinggal sederhana merupakan salah satu faktor untuk meminimalkan konsumsi energi listrik. Rumah tinggal yang menggunakan penghawaan alami, akan memiliki kelembaban udara yang cukup dan sebaiknya diupayakan tidak menggunakan pengkondisian udara (AC) sehingga penggunaan konsumsi energi listrik akan berkurang. Rumah tinggal sederhana mempunyai luasan ruang yang relative kecil, oleh sebab itu sistem pencahayaan dan penghawaan bukan merupakan hal yang tidak dapat dikendalikan. Berdasarkan hal ini, perlu dilakukan sosialisasi kepada masyarakat tentang pemanfaatan energi, khususnya pada rumah tinggal sederhana. Tujuan kegiatan ini merupakan pemahaman dan penerapan pemanfaatan energi pada rumah tinggal sederhana. Setelah diadakan penyuluhan, diharapkan masyarakat dapat memahami teori pemanfaatan pencahayaan dan penghawaan alami dan masyarakat dapat menerapkannya pada rumah tinggal mereka. Pelaksanaan kegiatan sosialisasi, dimulai dengan memaparkan teori dasar dan tata cara penerapan pemanfataan energi pada rumah tinggal sederhana. Kegiatan ini, dilanjutkan dengan mengunjungi 3 unit rumah tinggal di jalan Pelanduk Kel. Maricaya Kec. Makassar Kota Makassar. Kunjungan ini dilakukan untuk mengarahkan dan menjelaskan kepada masyarakat dengan melihat secara langsung obyeknya. Selanjutnya kepada pemilik rumah tersebut, diberikan desain renovasi rumah tinggal dengan memaksimalkan pemanfaatan pencahayaan dan penghawaan alami berupa gambar denah dan tampak berupa tiga dimensi.

Gedi is one of the common plants grown in Sulawesi. People recognize the two types of gedi, namely, green gedi and red gedi. The use of red gedi leaves is traditionally believed to cure several diseases, one of these diseases is anemia and as an alternative treatment such as to prevent heart disease. This study aimed to determine the levels of iron (Fe) and potassium (K) that contains in red gedi leaves (Abelmoschus manihot L.). Iron and potassium contents were determined using an atomic absorption spectrophotometer (SSA). The average iron content of red gedi leaves from Tentena was 9,760 mg/100 g and from Lasoani was 9,668 mg/100 g while the average potassium content of the red gedi leaves from Tentena was 3,882 mg/100g and from Lasoani was 3,445 mg/100 g.

The effect of copper(II) and cadmium(II) ions on the percent of mercury ion extraction using an emulsion liquid membrane technique have been performed. This study used HNO3 as an internal phase, mixed span 80 and span 20 as a surfactant, benzoyl acetone as cation carrier, kerosene as membrane phase, and mercury solution as a sample solution. Variations of concentrations of copper(II) and cadmium(II) ions added were 10, 20, and 30 ppm with mercury concentrations of 30 ppm. The result of the research showed that the addition of copper(II) ion with concentrations of 10 to 30 ppm decreased the percentage of mercury ion extraction 30 ppm by 12.12% and the addition of cadmium(II) ion with the concentration of 10 to 30 ppm decreased the percentage of mercury ion extraction 30 ppm by 11.74%.

Mercury (II) extraction from acidic solution with benzoyl-acetone as a cation carrier by liquid membrane emulsion (LME) technique was researched. The liquid membrane emulsion was made by mixing 15 mL the membrane phase solution (containing 2% mixed surfactant of span-80 & span-20, 0.020 M of Benzoyl-acetone in kerosene) and 15 mL the internal phase solution (containing nitric acid) with emulsification rate of 2000 rpm. The optimum condition for mercury (II) extraction were found as follows : extraction time with 300 rpm rate is 10 minutes, pH of the external phase is 2, concentration of HNO3 in the internal phase is 2 M. Determination of mercury (II) in the external phase after extraction was done by Viscible Spectrophotometer (490 nm) with dithizone as a complexing agent. By using these optimum conditions, 30 ml of LME can extract 30 ppm of mercury (II) within 150 ml of the external phase with extraction percentage of 96.8.

_ Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan mengukur kenyamanan termal alami dan mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh tanaman peneduh terhadap kenyamanan termal alami didalam rumah tinggal. Rumah tinggal dikelompokkan menjadi dua kelompok yaitu rumah tinggal yang ada tanaman peneduh dan rumah tinggal yang tidak ada tanaman peneduh. Data pengukuran statis dilakukan dengan beberapa variabel kenyamanan berupa suhu, kelembaban, dan kecepatan angin kemudian diukur menggunakan alat HOBO temp/RH logger dengan waktu pengukuran dari pukul 06.00-18.00 WITA. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata temperatur tertinggi untuk rumah tinggal yang ada tanaman peneduh 30,2°C dan rumah tinggal yang tidak ada tanaman peneduh 31,3°C. Kemudian rata-rata kelembaban tertinggi rumah tinggal yang ada tanaman peneduh 73% dan yang tidak ada tanaman peneduh 73%, dengan ini kelembaban berada pada zona yang nyaman. Sedangkan hasil rata-rata 0,19 m/s untuk kecepatan angin tertinggi rumah tinggal yang tidak ada tanaman peneduh dan 0,65 m/s rumah tinggal yang ada tanaman peneduh. Hasil survey kenyamanan penghuni menunjukkan sebagian responden masih merasa nyaman namun tetap mengharapkan kondisi kenyamanan termal yang lebih sejuk lagi. Responden beradaptasi dengan kondisi lingkungannya dengan cara memilih pakaian yang nyaman dan tipis serta mengurangi kegiatan yang menimbulkan banyak keringat. Dwellings are grouped into two groups namely dwellings with shade plants and dwellings with no shade plants. Static measurement data is carried out with several comfort variables in the form of temperature, humidity, and wind speed and then measured using a HOBO temp / RH logger tool with measurement time from 06.00-18.00 WITA. The results showed that the average highest temperature for houses with shade plants was 30.2 ° C and houses without shade plants were 31.3 ° C. Then the highest average humidity of residential houses with 73% shade plants and 73% without shade plants, with this humidity is in the comfort zone. While the average yield of 0.19 m / s for the highest wind speed of houses without shade plants and 0.65 m / s of shade houses. The results of the occupants comfort survey show that some respondents still feel comfortable but still expect cooler conditions of thermal comfort. This hal is a very serious problem for the environment because it causes the impact of pollution. Has many utilization of chicken feather waste such as making komocen, accessories, upholstery materials, making brackets to the manufacture of animal feed but from the results of this activity cannot reduce the production of chicken feathers that his continuously increase every year. This is due to the fact that the selling price of chicken meat has been reached by consumers with middle to upper economic levels. This can easily be a chicken menu in almost all restaurants and restaurants to the food stalls on the side of the road. An alternative way of utilizing chicken feathers is to make composite materials in the form of panels. Recent studies have shown that the pvac material can be utilized as a mixing and adhesive material with mashed or ground feathered composites to form a panel that can later be used as an acoustic material. The test results show that the absorption of chicken feathers and pvac glue into panels can absorb sound well with an absorption coefficient of 0.59, light. This result is very economical so it is worth to be recommended as an acoustic material.
