Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) is one of the most common fused-filament feedstocks for 3D printing. The rapid growth of the 3D printing industry has resulted in huge demand for ABS filaments; however, it generates a large amount of waste. This study developed a novel method using waste ABS to fabricate electrospun nanofiber membranes (ENMs) for water filtration. Polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) was employed to modify the properties of waste ABS, and the effect of PVP addition in the range of 0-5 wt% was investigated. The results showed that adding PVP increased the viscosity and surface tension but decreased the conductivity of the precursor solution. After electrospinning, PVP could reduce the number of beads, increase the porosity and fiber diameter, and improve the wettability of the fabricated fibers. Copper Indium Gallium Selenium (CIGS) solar cells are one of the high-performance solar cells among the other second generation of solar cells. The common method to fabricate CIGS solar cells is a vacuum method, such as evaporation, vapor transport deposition, and electron-beam deposition that requires high technology investment and expensive. Thstudy aimed to investigate the CIGS/ZnO film synthesized by using a non-vacuum method as CIGS ink and coated by spin coating. The CIGS ink was synthesized by hot injection method using copper (II) acetylacetonate, gallium (III) acetylacetonate, and indium (III) acetylacetonate with oleylamine in a nitrogen atmosphere. The ITO substrate was coated by the ZnO layer, and then coated by CIGS using a spin coating method to make CIGS solar. The samples were characterized by SEM for morphology and EDX for the chemical element analysis. The optical properties were performed by UV-Vis spectrometry. The results showed that CIGS was successfully synthesized. The power efficiency of CIGS/ZnO solar cells was around 0.3%. The low efficiency of CIGS/ZnO solar cells in this study was due to the thickness of the CIGS that caused inefficiency of power conversion. However, CIGS/ZnO fabrication showed a sharp signal photoresponse that is highly potential for photodetector application.
