Abstract

The study focuses on the steady-state emission properties of infiltrated flurophores, which are also highly affected by a well-designed passband in the stop band of self-assembled colloidal photonic crystal superlattces. The results obtained from the analysis are extremely useful, as they lead to the development of all-optical integrated circuits because of its ability of lowering the threshold for lasing by spectrally narrowing the emission of fluorophores. more...

The article focuses on the study for the optical properties of colloidal photonic crystals (CPhCs). It discusses the fabrication techniques for CPhCs as well as their structures, photonic band gap, and fluorescence.
