The research focuses on the potential of topographic elevations by means of aerial scanning with the help of drones, as an alternative for creating and completing the existing map database necessary for works in almost all fields of activity that concern the national economy. Research objectives are geared towards developing methodologies that use digital systems and geospatial data to update, complete and store the information needed for thematic mapmaking and identifying the most appropriate geospatial technologies that can be used. Utilizing aerial scanning enables geospatial data based on ultra-high resolution digital images and minimizes ground measurement works. Information can be stored in the form of digital databases (GIS) that allow operations which were not possible with classic cartographic technologies such as checks, queries, updates, Internet publishing, multiple and remote accessing, securing, etc. Areas of interest in which these systems (thematic maps) are very well-suited concern the environment, agriculture and forestry, climatic, pedological, geological, orographic, hydrological, calamity risks, pollution, tourism, localities, population, transport, and construction. Digital data obtained is integrated and inter-operable, allowing for queries and analyses, with periodic updates, a hierarchical access and validation system and a high level of physical and informational security. Presents the use of GIS in decision making in the draft Environmental Engineering. Good decisions in drafting environmental protection can be better highlighted and taken in an informed manner if widely we use geographic information systems, which are indispensable in all fields. First we highlight the advance of joining component parts geographic information system and then its use in decisions connected with environmental engineering projects and the benefits of using it in this topical area. Is the use orthophotomaps and GNSS position determination system ROMPOS, project management of mine closures, the current concern to policy makers in the county of Maramureș. In making decisions on mine closure project management can use GNSS positioning systems positioning and target areas orthophotomaps scale 1:1000, 1:2000 or 1:5000. This paper presents aspects concerning the use of GNSS technology in local networks in Romania, in particular in Arad County, in order to establish a local geodetic network through GNSS technology and, as comparison, the same network as determined with the Romanian Position Determination System (ROMPOS). The methods used, the GNSS receivers, the sessions and some aspects which have raised logistical issues and were resolved through specific processes are presented generally. A comparative study has been carried out, with the Romanian position determination system (ROMPOS), with the specifics of the area and with the transformation of measurements using software approved and designed by the Agency of Cadastre and Real Estate Advertising (ANCPI), TRANSDAT 4.01. Measurement methods using GNSS technology and methods of measurement with the use of the Romanian Position Determination System (ROMPOS) are also shown. The coordinates resulted from the two methods used are presented in comparison, in tables. In the end, the conclusions from the studies and research carried out with regards to the use of GNSS technology in local networks in Romania and a comparative study with the use of the Romanian Position Determination System (ROMPOS) using GNSS technology are presented. In this paper, we explore the results of a comparative survey on political attitudes and behaviors among adolescents in Belgium, Canada and Romania. The results show that while political interest and trust is highest among Canadian adolescents, it is lowest among Romanian respondents. A preliminary analysis suggest that the impact of parents and of schools remains overwhelming. Despite the rise of a new and more autonomous youth culture, therefore, most of the findings from the older literature of the 1970s still is confirmed. The study also points to the possible effects of civic education in schools.Multivariate models prove to be most performative for Canada and for Belgium and least for Romania. This might be due to the fact that political trust and engagement levels are lowest in Romania. This hints at the fact that, even 17 years after the end of the authoritarian regime in Romania, political socialization of young adolescents is still being influenced by the impact of a previous political era.We close with a number of suggestions for further and more stringent analyses of the current data. ..PAT.-Unpublished Manuscript [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Rothstein has argued that we can create "trust from above" through a strong legal system. We might presume that countries with high levels of corruuption would have low levels of trust--and this is in fact true. Yet, the correlation between perceived corruption and trust across countries is highest where corruption is lowest.
