Introduction Thoracic solitary fibrous tumors (SFTs) are usually pleural-based lesions and diagnosed incidentally. The authors, hereby, report two cases of symptomatic SFT of the pleura with locally aggressive potential. Case 1 A 63-year-old male patient presented with chief complaints of dyspnea at rest and thoracic pain. Computed tomography scan revealed a mass of the right visceral pleura with multiloculated pleural effusion. Microscopic examination with immunostaining of the resected mass confirmed the diagnosis of malignant SFT. Local recurrence occurred after 5 months. Case 2 A 32-year-old patient had a massive tumor of the left hemithorax, invading the descending aorta and thoracic vertebrae, causing a shifting of the heart and mediastinum. A needle transcutaneous biopsy confirmed the diagnosis of SFT. Considering the respiratory failure, surgical treatment was preceded by a general preparation. The patient died few days before the operation owing to respiratory distress. Conclusion This paper sustains the heterogeneity of these tumors. SFT of the pleura could have malignant potential at first presentation or in a young patient.

Background Outcome of sleep disturbances in lung cancer patients before and after treatment is not much reported. Their intensity and their correlation to quality of life or to humor disturbances were not widely studied. The aim of this study was to report precisely sleep disturbances in advanced stage lung cancer patients, their outcome after chemotherapy and/or radiotherapy, and their correlation to anxiodepressive humor. Patients and methods It was a prospective study including 64 patients with stage 3 or 4 non-small-cell lung cancer. Patients answered the Tunisian dialectal version of the following questionnaires: Pittsburgh sleep quality index and hospital anxiety depression scale in order to evaluate, respectively, the sleep quality and anxiodepressive troubles. The questionnaires took place before chemotherapy and then were repeated after chemotherapy was over. Results The mean age was 62.9 years. All patients were active smokers. Before chemotherapy, there were 10 (15%) patients with poor sleep quality. Most frequent complaints were daily sleepiness (70%) and nocturnal arousals (100%). Sixteen (25%) patients had depressive humor. Depression was statistically more frequent among patients with poor sleep quality (80 vs 15%, P

- Abstract
Introduction: The health system is one of the professional sectors perhaps most at risk of occupational asthma. The aims of this study were to evaluate the level of knowledge of health care workers (HCWs) on occupational asthma and asthmogenic agents and to pave the way to effective educational action on the subject., Methods: A multicenter transversal study including 180 HCWs was carried out between July and December 2020. A validated questionnaire addressed four dimensions: knowledge of asthmatic disease, knowledge of occupational asthma, knowledge of prognosis of occupational asthma and knowledge on the prevention of occupational asthma., Results: The average total score was 13.71/18 (76.17%). There was no correlation between average total score and age, educational level, seniority or status of paramedical staff. Mean total scores were significantly higher for participants with no fixed work schedule and those practicing in non-university structures. The difficulty indexes for the four aforementioned dimensions were 82.22%, 77.56%, 53.52% and 66.67% respectively., Conclusions: Knowledge gaps affect all professional categories but to different degrees. A review of the level of knowledge of persons in each category would be the first step on the road to planned educational action., (Copyright © 2023 SPLF. Published by Elsevier Masson SAS. - Abstract
Introduction: Screening for occupational asthma is should still be promoted. In order to improve the efficiency of any educational intervention we need to evaluate the patient's knowledge of the disease., Objectives: The aims were to evaluate objectively the knowledge level of Tunisian asthmatic patients concerning occupational asthma using a self-questionnaire in Arabic Tunisian dialect, then to conduct a validation process of the questionnaire., Methods: We followed De Vellis's rules during all stages of redaction of the self-questionnaire. It contained 18 items allocated in 4 dimensions: knowledge about asthma; knowledge about occupational asthma; prognosis of occupational asthma; prevention of occupational asthma. A pre-test was conducted on 18 asthmatic patients to assess the clarity and comprehensibility of all the questions. The questionnaire was then applied to 107 asthmatic patients., Results: The statistical analysis proved the discrimination value in 14 of the 18 items. The internal consistency of the questionnaire was demonstrated by a KR20 index of 0.731. Factorial analysis of the principal components showed the reliability of the questionnaire and of its uni-dimensional structure. The statistical findings proved the positive correlation between the mean scores of all its dimensions., Conclusions: Using this questionnaire in daily practice should inform health care providers about the level of knowledge of occupational asthma in the targeted population and improve the effectiveness of any further educational intervention., (Copyright © 2020 SPLF. - Abstract
Introduction: Paraneoplastic limbic encephalitis is a rare disease, usually associated with small cell lung cancer., Case Report: We report in this publication the cases with different age brackets, who presented with various neurological symptoms such as repetitive seizures or anterograde amnesia. Cerebral CT-scan, cerebral MRI and anti onco-neural paraneoplastic antibodies were suggesting the diagnosis of paraneoplastic limbic encephalitis. Etiological exploration lead to the diagnosis of locally advanced small cell carcinoma of the lung. We started rapidly a curative protocol associating chemotherapy and sequential thoracic radiotherapy., Conclusions: we insist on the diversity of the imaging findings, immunological analyses and outcome on treatment of this entity. Prognostic impact remains also unclear.

The pedagogical reasons (28%) however are usually relationship' problems between the student and his teacher or the student and the administration, the three subjects were informed so that attitudes could be changed in the purpose of helping the student. Twelve students (14%) have a psychological case, depression and over worrying, led in some cases to addiction. These cases were diagnosed and transferred to specialized clinics.Sense and chronic diseases (12%), are considered as health reasons for school failure and caused several absences in the school. The school physicist took care of these cases by handling them medical guidance cards while observing the diagnose progress. As school results, 56 cases turned satisfaisant which is 65 % of all cases., Conclusion: The school failure became a priority of the "School Health" institute.
