The development of the advertising world is growing from two dimensions (brochures, pamphlets and fryers), which is currently trending is moving advertisements in the form of animation or video. With these developments, brochures are considered less attractive for use in sales promotion. This research uses a mixed method consisting of two stages. The first stage is the determination of factors or elements of choice using Value Engineering and Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), while the second stage is design analysis using typographic analysis in design creation and weight measurement using an evaluation matrix. The research population was experts relevant to the field of study, totaling 45 people. Based on the Slovin formula and AHP, the sample obtained was 31 experts from a population of 45 people. The brochure was then weighted to determine the value through a survey. The results of the survey conducted by analyzing the evaluation matrix, obtained responses from experts have shown a significant increase in the weight value of the redesigned brochure advertisement, so it is concluded that the redesign step with persuasion management and design form can increase the weight of the brochure again. This community service aims to increase the knowledge of MSE in Rasau Jaya, who are members of the “Kelompok UMK Sahabat (KUS)” regarding obtaining halal certification using a halal statement by business actors or Self Declare. The method stages carried out in this activity were identifying KUS profiles, consumer analysis, education, and evaluation. Evaluation was carried out using a questionnaire. The descriptive data obtained was presented in percentage form. The results of this activity showed that 92% of the products produced by KUS were snacks, 78% of KUS consumers stated that halal certification was a determinant in purchasing food products, educational media using brochures was considered to help understand the material provided, and this activity increases knowledge up to 71.43 %. Continuity of activities through assistance in submitting halal certification through the Self Declare was very necessary.

During public health emergencies, health communication materials to contain the outbreak are needed promptly, which prevents the use of standard approaches for getting feedback from the intended audience. We propose a strategy for rapidly obtaining community feedback on new health communication materials during the public health emergencies. We illustrate this with COVID-19 testing campaign in a Vietnamese–American enclave in the USA. The project included community-based COVID-19 testing and communication activities to increase the awareness of the testing centers and encourage frequent testing. Our strategy involves two main components: (i) use of a research team with an existing trust relationship with the community and that includes researchers from that community and (ii) co-design of communication materials using community-based gatekeepers and a cultural broker. We developed brochures and posters to increase the awareness of the COVID-19 testing services. The cultural broker and community-based partners identified salient message concepts and worked with the researchers to define the objectives and content of the materials, which were then reviewed by the entire team. In lieu of standard pretesting, we relied on feedback on mockups of the materials and subsequent revisions from the community-based gatekeepers and cultural broker. Our strategy strikes a balance between the need to urgently disseminate new materials and the need for community input. Purpose: To assess the extent of paper waste generated per year by instructions for use (IFUs) brochures included in intraocular lens (IOL) packaging in Europe and the U.S. Setting: Rothschild Foundation Hospital, Paris, France; Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust; Center for Sight, London, United Kingdom. Design: Experimental study. Methods: A sample of IOLs were collected and each IFU was weighed. In addition, the cumulative weight of these brochures used in cataract surgeries performed annually in Europe and the U.S. was estimated, and the potential annual paper conservation that could be achieved if all manufacturers adopted electronic IFUs (e-IFUs) in Europe and the U.S. was determined. Results: The mean and standard deviation of the weight for overall IFUs, classic IFUs, and e-IFUs were 17.6 ± 13.8 g, 23.5 ± 13.2 g, and 2.9 ± 1.9 g, respectively. The estimated cumulative weight of paper generated from the IFUs accompanying implants used in European and U.S. cataract surgeries is 153 tons. If all manufacturers transition to e-IFUs, the cumulative weight saved would be 128 tons (-84%), equivalent to 120 tons of carbon dioxide equivalent and the preservation of more than 2000 trees annually. Conclusions: The classic IFUs in IOL packaging result in a significant amount of paper waste annually. Therefore, there is an urgent need for a rapid transition to e-IFU technology. The research aimed to know the effect of an Designing E-brochures with augmented reality technology to developing awareness of the Egyptian tourist and heritage places and some of their aesthetic values among fourth grade primary pupils in the light of the new curriculum 2.0, The researcher followed the experimental method of designing the two groups (experimental-control), and the research sample consisted of (60) pupils from the fourth grade primary pupils, and the research tools and materials included: a list of the dimensions of awareness of Egyptian tourist and heritage places, a list of aesthetic values, a list of criteria for designing E-brochures with augmented reality technology, experimental unit (objectives-enhanced Ebrochures-activities-student guide-The teacher's guide), achievement test of awareness of Egyptian tourist and heritage places, the scale of awareness behaviors of Egyptian tourist and heritage places, the aesthetic values test, and the research results indicated: The existence of a statistically significant effect among the average scores of the experimental group members in the tribal and dimensional application of research tools in favor of the dimensional application, which indicates the effectiveness of Ebrochures with augmented reality technology in developing awareness of Egyptian tourist and heritage places and some aesthetic values associated with them. The research recommended the need to encourage and train social studies teachers to use, design and produce educational E-brochures enhanced by Visual Media and use in teaching and teaching social studies, attention to the development of awareness of Egyptian tourist and heritage places and aesthetic values in the subject of social studies for students at all educational stages. IVF or In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) is a new service program so to increase consumer or patient interest, a marketing strategy is needed that can increase the number of consumers themselves. This research uses the scoping review method to determine the marketing of test tube babies or IVF by formulating questions using the concepts P (Indonesia and Overseas), C (Marketing Strategy), and C (IVF). The results show that the promotion of In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) services is more efficient by using promotions on social media, distributing brochures, collaborating with ob-gyn doctors, and placing advertisements on websites related to IVF or IVF services. Promotion of IVF or IVF services is carried out to increase the number of users or patients who use these services. This study describes a novel method of assessing risk communication effectiveness by reporting an evaluation of a tsunami information brochure by 90 residents of three Pacific coast communities that are vulnerable to a Cascadia Subduction Zone earthquake and tsunami—Commencement Bay, Washington; Lincoln City, Oregon; and Eureka, California. Study participants viewed information that was presented in DynaSearch, an internet‐based computer system that allowed them to view text boxes and tsunami inundation zone maps. DynaSearch recorded the number of times each text box or map was clicked and the length of time that it was viewed. This information viewing phase was followed by questionnaire pages assessing important aspects of tsunami hazard and sources of tsunami warnings. Participants gave the longest click durations to what to do in the emergency period during earthquake shaking and in its immediate aftermath before a tsunami arrives—topics that should be displayed prominently in tsunami brochures and emphasized in talks to community groups. Abstract Background Drug promoting brochures can influence physicians prescription patterns. The validity of the info presented in these brochures is of major importance. World Health Organization (WHO) issued criteria to guarantee validity, equity and ethical presentation of data in medical brochures. This study aims to evaluate the quality and the validity of information presented in the pharmaceutical brochures distributed among family physicians in Lebanon. Methods Pharmaceutical brochures were randomly collected at the family medicine center in Hôtel Dieu de France hospital in Beirut - Lebanon. These brochures were evaluated in reference to the WHO ethical criteria for medicinal drug promotion and on guidelines for quality assurance of the graphs, references, texts and illustrations. Results Among the 60 brochures collected, only 4 fulfilled all the WHO ethical criteria, and 24 presented less than half the required criteria. Information concerning the drug safety are the least mentioned. Only 11.8% of the presented graphs are based on studies of high methodological level. Half of the brochures presented necessary information to identify studies references which are not always retrievable. Texts present mainly brand names instead of generic names and emphasize on information reflecting the drug efficacy. Conclusion The pharmaceutical brochures in this study presented incomplete or invalid information. Prescribing physicians should be aware of the claims found in the brochures distributed by pharmaceutical companies and should be familiar with the principles of the evidence-based medicine to be able to critically appraise the validity of the reference studies and avoid the pitfalls in graphs reading.

Context: Work is the first reason for weaning once breastfeeding has started. The Haute Autorité de santé (HAS), professionals and mothers are agree on the need for information to prepare the return to work. Objective: To create a pamphlet for mothers who wish to continue breastfeeding when they return to work. Method: According to the HAS protocol, group sessions and then individual interviews were conducted with « naïve » and « experienced » mothers and different health professionals. The information was based on scientific recommendations. Results: It focused on labour law, day-to-day organisation and the necessary contacts. Incentives were added. It was redesigned to be objective, comprehensive, practical and attractive. It was agreed with the participants that the sheet would be available for free online and distributed in paper form via health professionals. Conclusion: The support of mothers is essential for maintaining breastfeeding when they return to work. The participatory development of the pamphlet makes it possible to meet their needs. Radon is a preventable cause of lung cancer, but the percentage of homes tested for radon is low. We previously developed a smartphone app that informs users about radon and allows them to request a free radon test. Here we conducted a randomized, controlled trial comparing the radon app versus printed brochures on radon knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors, including the proportion of participants requesting radon tests. Participants (N = 138) were undergraduates at a midwestern university. Data were analyzed by t‐tests, general linear models, and logistic regression. App users showed significantly greater increases in radon knowledge (p = 0.010) and self‐efficacy (p < 0.001) and requested tests three times more often than brochure recipients (41.4% vs. 13.2%, p < 0.001). However, the rate of test usage in each condition was low, ~3%. In conclusion, the radon app markedly outperformed brochures in increasing knowledge and requests for radon tests. Aims: Research ethics committees and regulatory agencies assess whether the benefits of a proposed early‐stage clinical trial outweigh the risks based on preclinical studies reported in investigator's brochures (IBs). Recent studies have indicated that the reporting of preclinical evidence presented in IBs does not enable proper risk‐benefit assessment. We interviewed different stakeholders (regulators, research ethics committee members, preclinical and clinical researchers, ethicists, and metaresearchers) about their views on measures to increase the completeness and robustness of preclinical evidence reporting in IBs. Methods: This study was preregistered (https://osf.io/nvzwy/). We used purposive sampling and invited stakeholders to participate in an online semistructured interview between March and June 2021. Themes were derived using inductive content analysis. We used a strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats matrix to categorize our findings. Results: Twenty‐seven international stakeholders participated. The interviewees pointed to several strengths and opportunities to improve completeness and robustness, mainly more transparent and systematic justifications for the included studies. However, weaknesses and threats were mentioned that could undermine efforts to enable a more thorough assessment: The interviewees stressed that current review practices are sufficient to ensure the safe conduct of first‐in‐human trials. They feared that changes to the IB structure or review process could overburden stakeholders and slow drug development. Conclusion: In principle, more robust decision‐making processes align with the interests of all stakeholders and with many current initiatives to increase the translatability of preclinical research and limit uninformative or ill‐justified trials early in the development process. We mailed brochures to 10,000 randomly chosen employed German workers who were eligible for a subsidized occupational training program called WeGebAU, informing them about the importance of skills‐upgrading training in general and about WeGebAU in particular. Using survey and register data, we estimate effects of the informational brochure on awareness of the program, on take‐up of WeGebAU and other training, and on subsequent employment. The brochure more than doubles awareness of the program. There are no effects on WeGebAU take‐up, but participation in other (unsubsidized) training increases among employees aged under 45. Background: Parents are crucial in establishing their children's eating habits, and doctors and health/childcare professionals (HCCPs) can provide meaningful and trusted guidance on feeding, especially in the 0-3-year-old period. With the upcoming release of the official brochure containing the new child feeding recommendations in France, this study aims to: (1) assess professionals' practices and perceptions regarding their communication with parents on child feeding and (2) evaluate their perception of the draft of the new brochure. Methods: A 15-page draft brochure (without pictures) containing updated child feeding recommendations for children 0–3 years old was developed by Santé publique France (the French public health agency). Online semi-structured interviews were conducted with professionals (n = 21), including 13 pediatricians and general practitioners (doctors) and eight healthcare or childcare professionals (HCCPs) two weeks after they were provided with this draft brochure to read. The interview guide was developed and piloted with other professionals (n = 3) prior to these interviews. Interview data were transcribed verbatim and analyzed thematically using an inductive approach. Results: While doctors and HCCPs mostly communicate orally with parents, both acknowledged that the brochure might be a helpful supplement, especially for HCCPs to legitimize their advice to parents. For doctors, giving the brochure to parents may help provide systematic advice and save time during consultations. Professionals serving parents of lower socioeconomic status would prefer a supplement with less text and more illustrations. In general, the messages were perceived to be easily understandable but providing detachable cards to distribute according to the child's age would facilitate information dissemination and might be more useful to parents. Professionals reported that lack of training, the circulation of contradictory information, and language barriers were common challenges. Conclusion: French professionals welcomed the new official brochure as a means to spread updated child feeding recommendations. However, this brochure could be modified and specific tools developed to better adapt to professionals' needs of communication with parents and to facilitate the relay of information. The study of tourism marketing communication is an important aspect that contributes to the understanding of how destinations and locals are portrayed. Through the so-called circle of representation, images can spread from tourism marketing to other media, such as tourism photography. Marketing material in the form of 118 brochures, 3000 Instagram posts and a guidebook portraying the Sámi population mostly in Swedish Lapland, but also in Finnish Lapland as well as Finnmark, Norway, have been collected and analyzed. The focus is on pictorial and textual elements and eight previously conceptualized themes have been used to guide the analysis. The focus was on the portrayal of the Sámi Indigenous population. The materials were collected through a direct qualitative content analysis and analyzed through a multimodal discourse analysis. The results show that there is still a tendency to portray the Sámi based on exoticism. This can spread to different media channels, but there are also discrepancies that hint at a gradual change in how Indigenous populations such as the Sámi are presented. The results of this study show the potential for the use of social media channels such as Instagram for Indigenous entrepreneurs and destination management organizations to educate, attract and entice potential visitors. This study surveyed 227 residents in three US Pacific Coast communities that are vulnerable to a Cascadia subduction zone tsunami. In the Brochure condition, information was presented online, followed by questions about tsunamis. Respondents in the Comparison condition received the same questionnaire by mail but did not view the brochure. Respondents in the Brochure condition had higher levels of perceived information sufficiency than those in the Comparison condition about three of the five tsunami topics. Both conditions had generally realistic expectations about most tsunami warning sources. However, they had unrealistically high expectations of being warned of a local tsunami by social sources, such as route alerting, that could not be implemented before first wave arrival. They also had unrealistically high expectations being warned of a distant tsunami by ground shaking from the source earthquake, whose epicenter would be too far away for them to feel. Moreover, respondents in both conditions expected higher levels of personal property damage and family casualties than is the case for most hazards, but their levels of negative affective response were not especially high. Overall, only 10% of the sample accessed the tsunami brochure even when sent repeated contacts and the brochure demonstrated modest effects for those who did access it. These results suggest that state and local officials should engage in repeated personalized efforts to increase coastal communities' tsunami emergency preparedness because distribution of tsunami brochures has only a modest effect on preparedness. This research was mainly aimed at finding out the visual and non-visual element and their meanings in Bali Safari Park brochure. The brochure was chosen because there were various types of pictures and texts. The data were collected by finding and reading that brochure and note taking the data from Bali Safari Park brochure using the observation method. The method that was used in analyzing the data was a descriptive method. The presenting the data was formal method by using symbols, pictures or images to illustrate the phenomena found in the data. The result of this research showed that there were the visual and non-visual elements found in Bali Safari Park brochure. The visual and non-visual elements were in the form of pictures, the logo, symbol, colors, the pictures of fonts, phrases, and sentences. Those forms were found in headline, body copy, signature line, and standing details. Background: Off-label use of gabapentinoids is common among patients admitted to hospital medical wards, who are at risk of adverse drug events. In this study, we will assess if educational brochures can increase rates of gabapentinoid deprescription among medical inpatients, compared with usual care. Methods: We describe the protocol for a prospective before-and-after trial that will take place on 5 medical wards of 2 tertiary care hospitals in Montréal, Canada. The study intervention will include distribution of educational brochures to users of gabapentinoids during hospital admission, as well as short educational sessions for medical staff on safe gabapentinoid prescribing practices. We will include patients with a gabapentinoid prescription before admission who are aged 60 years or older. Exclusion criteria are known seizure disorder, severe cognitive impairment, expected prognosis less than 3 months and inability to read English or French. The primary outcome is the rate of gabapentinoid deprescription at 8 weeks postdischarge. We aim to recruit 160 participants, with a 1:1 distribution between intervention and control groups. Interpretation: If successful, the use of educational brochures and staff education represents a scalable intervention to reduce gabapentinoid overuse by encouraging deprescription conversations between patients and their health care providers. At the beginning of each class, we attest to the virtues of writing with clarity, focus, and authority, yet we saddle students with a syllabus that lacks all these virtues. Added, our students are forced to reference it routinely throughout the semester to navigate the course. Admittedly, I myself perpetuate this type of course design. My 2022 resolution is to get my syllabus in order. Document design is a good place to start. If we follow Banwarshi's guidance, we can start our collection and study of genres by placing our students at the center of each of the nested genres within the syllabus. What if the course requirements (project submission minimums, assignment deadlines, and the usual "thou shalts") looked like real-world contracts students would have to acknowledge, sign, and abide? What if the assignment descriptions looked more like an informational brochure, tri-fold, tour guide, or prix fixe menu? What if our contact information was a digital business card with a link to provide an efficient path to our office? We could continue with our "what if's" concerning the schedule of assignments, required texts, and all the remaining nested eggs in our syllabi. The paper is devoted to the birth of the Philomath myth, namely the shaping of cultural memory about imprisonment, investigation and following it deportation from Lithuania to exile into Russia of a group of Vilnius interns, students and professors in 1823 and 1824. The author of the paper focuses on announcing and first accounts of so-called Philomath and Filaret trial, the associations to which, traditionally, an anonymous brochure published during the Polish November Insurrection Nowosilcow w Wilnie w roku szkolnym 1823/24 (Novosilcov in Vilnius in the Schoolyear 1823/24, 1831) by, as was later proven, Joachim Lelewel, and Adam Mickiewicz's Dziady (Forefathers' Eve) part III (1832) belonged. As based on those autobiographical accounts, and also on the regained manuscript of Nowosilcow w Wilnie, the author formulates a thesis about the existence of pre-Mickiewicz, nameless, collective memory about the Philomaths strengthened, and also substantially changed by the issuing of Dziady part III. The brochure corresponds to a brief Law 4057 instruction from Trade Union Organization to be disseminated among the nitrate office's workers from the Antofagasta Province; then, in chronological order are presented, a report of the Inspección Regional del Trabajo (IRT) from Valparaíso dated in June 1925; an extract from an IRT report from Concepción from June, and finally a brief report from July 1925; reports describe the labor movement's current state, its labor laws reception and its ideological leanings. Chat Generative Pre-trained Transformer (ChatGPT) is a language model that may have the potential to revolutionize health care. The study purpose was to test whether ChatGPT could be used to create educational brochures about kidney transplant tailored for three target audiences: caregivers, teens and children. Using a list of 25 educational topics, standardized prompts were employed to ensure content consistency in ChatGPT generation. An expert panel assessed the accuracy of the content by rating agreement on a Likert scale (1 = <25 % agreement; and 5 = 100 % agreement). The understandability, actionability and readability of the brochures were assessed using the Patient Education Materials Assessment Tool for printable materials (PEMAT-P) and standard readability scales. A caregiver and patient reviewed and provided written feedback. We found mean understandability scores of 69 %, 66 %, and 73 % for caregiver, teen, and child brochures respectively, with 90.7 % of the ChatGPT generated brochures scoring 40 % on the actionability scale. Generated caregiver and teen materials achieved readability levels of grades 9–14, while child-specific brochures achieved readability levels of grades 6–11. Brochures were formatted appropriately but lacked depth. ChatGPT demonstrates potential for rapidly generating patient education materials; however, challenges remain in ensuring content specificity. We share the lessons learned to assist other healthcare providers with using this technology. • ChatGPT was unable to generate patient educational materials with specificity. • It could assist healthcare providers but is not a substitute for their content expertise. • People should learn prompt engineering best practices before using ChatGPT to create education. This study is about an analysis of the content that tries to identify weaknesses of Persian-English translation in the tourism industry and show the most common and fairly frequent error patterns committed by Iranian translators who are nonnative by using Napu model. Although these problems in the information of the booklet are underresearched, there is little discussion of tourism material in translation research. To fulfill the aims of this study, the weaknesses and strengths of the booklet of Bazare Vakil complex, Pars museums, Fort of Karim Khan, Vakil mosque, and Vakil bath and their English translations were examined in terms of language and communication. According to the findings, it is recognized that the tourist texts under study (Zandiyeh Complex) present a large number of semantic errors, and, as expected, these significantly prevent the quality of the translations. The analysis results indicated that the semantic area is where these booklets fall short, whereas the language (syntax) is regarded as the strength. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The article studies the process of formation of the publishing staff of the Information and Propaganda Office. Three departments were directly involved in publishing: the Press and Information Department, the Publishing Department and the Department of Foreign Propaganda. The main tasks of these depart ments have been clarified. The main types of printing products were newspapers, posters, flyers, banners, brochures, calendars, etc. Considerable attention is given to determining the number and repertoire of printed materials, as well as to the issues of its distribution. For the local structures of information and propaganda in the last months of 1944, the most important task, however, was not so much the release of their own publications, as the dissemination of propaganda materials sent from the USSR. The dependence of publishing activities of the Information and Propaganda Office on the Polish United Workers’ Party has been noted. The difficulties in conducting the publishing work of the Office, as well as its effectiveness are analyzed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
