Türkiye’de Ablepharus cinsine dahil sekiz takson [A. bivittatus (Ménétries, 1832), A. budaki budaki Göçmen, Kumlutaş ve Tosunoğlu, 1996, A. budaki anatolicus Schmidtler, 1997, A. chernovi chernovi Darevsky, 1953, A. chernovi eiselti Schmidtler, 1997, A. chernovi isaurensis Schmidtler, 1997, A. chernovi ressli Schmidtler, 1997 ve A. kitaibelii kitaibelii (Bibron ve Bory, 1833)] bulunmaktadır. Ancak bu taksonlar daha sonra moleküler ve morfolojik olarak yeterince sınanmamıştır. Bu nedenle, bu taksonlar çalışmamız sırasında daha detaylı ve bol örnekle incelenmiştir. Bu çalışma sırasında yapılan morfolojik analizlerde 279 örneğe ait 18 metrik, 29 meristik ile 14 indeks ve oran karakteri kullanılmıştır. Bunun yanında her taksona ait toplam 41 örnekten DNA izolasyonu gerçekleştirilmiştir. Daha sonra bir nüklear gen bölgesi (cmos) ve iki mitokondrial gen bölgesi (cyt b ve COI) polimeraz zincir reaksiyonu ile çoğaltılmıştır. Elde edilen sonuçlara göre A. bivittatus bu cinsin diğer üyelerinden morfolojik ve moleküler açıdan oldukça farklı bulunmuştur. Ayrıca A. chernovi eiselti’nin tür seviyesine çıkarılması ve isaurensis’in de bu türün bir alttürü olduğu düşünülmektedir. A. kitaibelii’nin Trakya ve Marmara’nın güneyinde kalan populasyonlarının A. kitaibelii stepaneki olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Diğer yandan taksonların dağılış alanları tespit edilmiş, örneklerin toplandığı lokalitelerin ekolojik özellikleri, renk-desen özellikleri ve taksonları ayırt etmek için tayin anahtarı oluşturulmuştur

Eight Ablepharus taxa [A. bivittatus (Ménétries, 1832), A. budaki budaki Göçmen, Kumlutaş and Tosunoğlu, 1996, A. budaki anatolicus Schmidtler, 1997, A. chernovi chernovi Darevsky, 1953, A. chernovi eiselti Schmidtler, 1997, A. chernovi isaurensis Schmidtler, 1997, A. chernovi ressli Schmidtler, 1997 and A. kitaibelii kitaibelii (Bibron ve Bory, 1833)] have been located in Turkey. However, these taxa were not adequately tested in molecular and morphological methods. For this reason, these taxa were examined in more detail with more samples. During the study, 279 samples were used in the morphological analyses in terms of 18 metric, 29 meristic and 14 index or ratio characters. In addition, DNA isolation was carried out from a total of 40 samples of each taxa. Then, a nuclear (cmos) and two mitochondrial (cyt b and COI) gene regions were amplified by PCR.According to the results, A. bivittatus is quite different from the other members of the genus in terms of morphological and molecular aspects. We also believed that A. chernovi eiselti should be raised to species level and isaurensis must be subspecies belonging to this species. The populations in Thrace and south of Marmara of A. kitaibelii was determined to be A. kitaibelii stepaneki.On the other hand, the distribution of the taxa and the ecological characteristics of localities were determined, the color-pattern characteristics were given and description key were also prepared to distinguish the taxa. 347

A new subspecies of the Anatolia Newt, Neurergus strauchii munzurensis n. ssp., is described from eastern Anatolia (Tunceli Province, Turkey). The new taxon differs from other related subspecies by its characteristic color pattern especially the number and diameter of spots on head, dorsum, tail and limbs. Its distribution is limited to the type locality (20 km north of Tunceli Province, Turkey).

The occurrence of Vipera anatolica EISELT & BARAN, 1970, in the territory of the type locality (cedar forest reserve "Ciglikara Ormai" in the western Taurus Mountains of southern Turkey) was confirmed 29 years after the last observation. Nineteen specimens were found in three localities, situated two kilometers from each other, and located in karst dolines above the tree line between 1,840 and 1,950 m a. s. l. Active snakes were observed during daytime in the beginning of May, mid July and the second half of September. Vipera anatolica is characterized by small maturation size in females (242-360 mm); gravid females were found until the middle of September. The simultaneous presence of pregnant and non-pregnant females in summer indicates that females may not give birth each year. Two neighboring mountain massifs within the attitudinal range of V anatolica were visited, but additional populations were not found. Overgrazing seems to be the main threat to the species since the record localities were associated with low grazing activity and contrasted with potentially suitable habitats where high grazing pressure was present.

Facultative paedomorphism is regularly observed in salamanders, including newts of the Lissotriton vulgaris group. We document the first record of paedomorphism in L. (v.) kosswigi from a locality near Karasu, in the vicinity of Sakarya, Turkey. We compare measurements of 5 paedomorphic individuals with those of 10 metamorphic individuals from the same population and with measurements taken from the literature. Paedomorphs are on average bigger than metamorphs; intriguingly, the opposite pattern has been observed in the Turkish L. (v.) schmidtlerorum.

The distribution of Iranolacerta brandtii previously was limited to the Iran. A new locality is reported here in eastern Turkey. Data based on meristic pholidosis characters, metric measurements and color-patter features of the specimens from eastern Turkey were given in detail and compared with data given in the previous literature. In addition, the first record of Iranolacerta brandtii from outside of Iran is reported here.

Bu çalışma Işıklı Gölü'nde yaşayan kuyruksuz kurbağa türlerinin belirlenmesi ve taksonomik durumlarının ortaya konulmasını amaçlamaktadır. Bunun için toplanan örneklerden elde edilen morfolojik ve morfometrik veriler literatür ışığı altında diğer bölgelerle kıyaslanmıştır. Çalışmalar temel olarak arazi ve laboratuar verilerine dayanmaktadır. Arazi çalışmaları örneklerin toplanmasını, laboratuar çalışmaları ise örneklerin tespit işlemleri ve ölçüm işlemlerini kapsamaktadır. Örnekleme ve tespit işlemleri 2009 ve 2010 yılları Nisan-Temmuz aylarında yapılacak arazi çalışmalarını içermektedir. Tespit işleminden önce örneklerin renk ve desen özellikleri belirlenerek ve bu özelliklerin oranları kaydedilmiştir. Elde edilen ölçümler istatistiksel analizlerde kullanılmıştır. Renk, desen ve morfolojik karakterlerin belirlenmesi bu bölgedeki türler hakkında bilgi verecek ve bölge amfibi faunasının aydınlatılmasına yardımcı olacaktır. Elde edilen veriler ışığında Işıklı Gölü'nde 3 türün yaşadığı ve bu türlerin Pseudepidalea viridis, Hyla arborea ve Pelophylax caralitanus olduğu belirlenmiştir. This study determines to Anuran frogs which lives in Işıklı Lake and aims to put forward their taxonomic status. Obtained from samples collected for this morphological and morphometric data were compared with other regions in the light of the literature. Studies are mainly based on field and laboratory data. Field studies, collection of samples, laboratory studies, the sample consists of the detection process and measurement process. Sampling and detection procedures in the months of April to July of 2009 and 2010 includes field work to be done. Color and pattern characteristics of samples before the detection process by determining the ratio of these features were recorded. The measurements obtained were used in statistical analysis. Colors, patterns and morphological characters for identifying species in this area and will provide information about the amphibian fauna of the region will help to illuminate. In light of the data obtained from three species lived in Işıklı Lake and this species Pseudepidalea viridis, Hyla arborea and Pelophylax caralitanus was determined. 67
