The appearance and evolution of the questionnaire are strictly linked to the history of statistics as a science. Why is the questionnaire related to the history of statistics? As the questionnaire is not a simple list of questions, the important part behind the questions is the statistical interpretation of the answers received from respondents. We have entered several platforms of public opinion polling, with the idea of seeking maximum effect with minimum effort, from a beginner's position -- how can an entrepreneur be at the beginning of the road. It was conduct research on how works and what deliverables give several platforms of public opinion polling. Each tool that loaded and launched the opinion poll on the consumption of craft beer gave answers with different characteristics, the only common basis being the choice of the free package. Results from Google Forms, ZoHo Survey, and Survey Monkey were analyzed and compared. Of all these, the easiest to work with and most complete is ZoHo Survey for those who don't want to use subscription services, and with some financial effort for a Survey Monkey subscription. The skin has remarkable properties of protection and defense against external aggressions, so it is very important that its health is permanently maintained. The main purpose of this research paper consisted in the formulation of two moisturizing creams based only on natural ingredients. The main ingredients were: fresh lavender flowers, aloe vera gel and coconut butter. The moisturisers were organoleptically, physicochemically and microbiologically analysed. The organoleptic tests showed that the moisturizing creams homogenized very well, did not show phase separations and the smell was very pleasant, specific to lavender. The pH values, between 5.0 and 5.3, were close to the optimal recommended, 5.5, which means that their use will have positive effects on the skin. Following the determination of the acidity index, values between 1.68 and 1.91 were obtained, which means that the products can be used safely, as they have not undergone alteration processes. Microbiological analyses showed low contamination with bacteria and fungi, as both lavender and aloe vera are known for their antibacterial and antifungal effects. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Hand hygiene is one of the most important and healthy habits that each of us should practice. The ingredients used in the formulation of hand sanitizers, as well as their concentration, must be chosen carefully not to affect the hand skin. Four sanitizers have been formulated, containing natural products that give a pleasant and moisturizing consistency, a pleasant smell, and an application as easy as possible. Two disinfectants, 96% ethyl alcohol and 99.9% isopropyl alcohol, glycerin, Aloe-Vera pulp and four flavoring substances, tea tree essential oil, lemon essential oil, eucalyptus essential oil, essential oil of lavender, were used. The obtained sanitizers were analyzed from an organoleptic and physico-chemical point of view. The products had a pleasant appearance, a fluid consistency without signs of phase separation, a very pleasant, aromatic odor, a pH around five and, most importantly, an antibacterial effect, along with an effective moisturizing of the skin. From young to old, the mobile device became extinct of a hand full of information from school, family, social, online shops, analysis laboratories, etc. Starting from their own experience and needs to exploit mobile devices, AgriSo mobile app developers created an application structured to help farmers have access to land much easier, oversee remote work running on their land, fuel used equipment when work but even when stationary with the engine running. AgriSo also provides information on the ground, how much need to increase humidity or lower it because the plantation to have a better result, define type of soil and what can be cultivated on it. As technology evolves and we evolve with it, this means using optimal equipment. Thus, certain segments of the education area in the field of biotechnology could be improved. For example, the teaching support could be managed much better by teachers and students through mobile applications. The aim of the paper is to describe the making of an electronic mobile application suitable in the field of e-learning education. eBIODEX is an application for smartphones and tablets, integrated in the e-learning system of the Faculty of Biotechnologies, which will contain theoretical courses and working protocols for the various laboratories that are carried out within the faculty. Along with the special nutritional properties, honey also has therapeutical properties, finding its place in many applications of modern medicine. The main objective of the research consisted in the qualitative testing of eight honey types, four of traditional type and four of industrial type, both organoleptic and physico-chemical and microbiological: lime honey, acacia honey, sunflower honey and polyfloral honey. The organoleptic determinations allowed us to classify all types of honey in the high quality category. In the case of microbial contamination, it was found that no honey sample developed microbial colonies. The pH determinations revealed that all commercial honey showed slightly high value than the traditional ones. In the case of viscosity, the largest differences were observed. It has been found that the traditional sunflower honey has the highest viscosity, respectively 8860cP, and the commercial sunflower honey the lowest viscosity, 200cP. The determination of reducing sugars by the Schoorl method showed that industrial sunflower honey has the highest content, 92.5%, and traditional lime honey, the lowest, 74.3%. Until now, the most important way to get rid of food waste was to use it in animal feed. Four methods are used to remove food waste: recovery in agriculture and animal husbandry, incineration, anaerobic fermentation, composting. This paper aims to evaluate new methods of recycling waste from the food industry through biotechnological methods. The wastes that were the subject of the research were the following: apple pomace, bakery waste, milk whey. All these have been processed using the strains of the Biotechnology Faculty Collection in order to determine the potential to obtain useful products of high economical value like bioethanol or probiotics. The experimental yield of 0.26-0.24 l of bioethanol/1000 g of food waste was at the minimum data mentioned in the literature (0.265 l) but justifies the capitalization of this food waste. Through about 19 million internet connections which were in first semester of 2016 in Romania, users made a traffic of almost 2,7 million terabytes. More and more people discover how easily can be to use internet, to find any information on a smartphone, a tablet or a laptop or desktop. A year before, in 2015, about 48% of consumers used the internet but only 17% also for buying some products and services online, comparative with an average of 63% European consumers. First and second barriers in mentality to buy online are online payment security and lack of transaction people to people. The number of mobile users today is greater than the number of desktop users. Mobile applications have the advantage of utilizing features of a mobile device like camera, contact list, GPS, phone calls, accelerometer, compass, and so on. Such device features, when used within an app, can make the user experience interactive and fun. The aim of the paper is to describe the making of the first electronic Romanian - language dictionary with biotech terms, being the first mobile application of its kind and to highlighting the importance of using mobile applications in biotechnology both educational and industrial field. The theme of the paper was chosen because we considered it important that people know not only the negative part about whey - it is a waste, but also the positive side - that it can be successfully used in the production of value-added products. The purpose of the paper was to obtain a probiotic product by superior capitalizing of whey. The objectives of the paper were: (1) Processing of whey in a slightly fermentable form for the cultivation of Saccharomyces cerevisiae and Lactobacillus bulgaricus strains,(2) Optimizing the composition of the whey culture medium in order to obtain the highest biomass productivity,(3) Obtaining probiotics based on Saccharomyces cerevisiae and Lactobacillus bulgaricus strains. Several media variants with different glucose concentrations (0%, 0.5%, 1%, 2%) were used for the biosynthesis of probiotics. In the case of yeasts, glucose supplementation of culture media increases the amount of wet biomass by 21% compared to glucose-free media, and 16% for lactobacilli. However, good results were also obtained on whey as such, without additional glucose, yielding 52 g/l yeast and 42 g/l lactobacilli. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The huge amount of biomass composed of plant residues considered "waste" is a potential source of useful products. Works of this research were based on the study of the bioconversion potential in bioethanol of different types of wastes of lignocellulosic nature, obtained from the harvesting and processing of cereals (straw, cobs). Efficient capitalization of plant biomass is only possible when effective methods of delignification and decrystallization of the lignocellulosic complex are applied. Our research focused on the following general objectives: selection and characterization of lignocellulosic waste that can produce bioethanol, selection and adaptation of highly-productive microorganisms that ensures high conversion yields of bioethanol from the substrates obtained from lignocellulosic waste, experimentation of the technology at micropilot level. The raw materials used, wheat straw, barley straw and corn cobs, have been subjected to thermal pretreatment (autoclaving at 121°C for 30 minutes), enzymatic pretreatment (laccase), chemical pretreatment (NOH) and enzymatic hydroyisis (MethaPlus), in order to make available the polysaccharide substrates for the subsequent enzymatic hydrolysis. In case of alkaline pretreatment applied to all three types of lignocellulosic materials, best results were obtained when a solution of NaOH 4% was used. Anaerobic digestion of lignocellulosic materials led to ethanol concentrations of 4,9%, in case of corn cobs, 3,2% for wheat straw and 3.9, for barley straw. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This paper presents RSC characteristics regarding heritability parameter for the development, reproduction and milk production at the Pantelimon and Afumati farms. The milk production is the main target when we follow the goal of milk production exploitation from those two farms. To determine the heritability of morphologic characteristics and capability for the mechanic milking, it is obvious the milk cows from the group of study have a level of genetic determination for waist between 43% at Pantelimon farm and 35% at Afumati. So, they are fitting under variability limits of heritability coefficient. A higher heritability value to the entire population in this study is the height at the croup character. At the Afumati farm it was h2= 0.49 and at Pantelimon farm h2 = 0.47. The milking speed represents the most important parameter to reflect the capability of the udder for the mechanic milking, the heritability coefficient being between 28% and 48%, results obtained also by the other authors. The heritability coefficient determined for the Calving interval (CI) indicate a weak genetic determination, so, at the Pantelimon farm h2 = 0.195 and Afumati farm h2 = 0.110. The heritability of the between birth and the service period (SP) has lower values, between h2 = 0.140 at Pantelimon farm and h2 = 0.100 at Afumati farm. The heritability coefficient of milk production 0.31 - 0.35 and the fat percent was 0.48-0.51. So, at the both farms, we obtained data can be compared with similar data from the profile literature. Online education represents a new approach of learning process, in which substantive elements remain the same, only the means of exchange of knowledge and learning is different. Few benefits of the e-learning platforms and cloud computing in educational area are: a reduced infrastructure and IT costs, an increased accessibility, a better collaboration, and allow organizations more flexibility. This paper explores breed characteristics of the Romanian Spotted Cattle, as far as the parameters of milk production and economic ones from Pantelimon, Mogosoaia and Afumati farms. For the purpose of determining total duration of lactation, milk production on total and normal lactation, the proportion of protein on total and normal lactation, the proportion of fat on total and normal lactation have been calculated using the statistics indicators: average, the variation, standard deviation, standard error of the average and the coefficient of variability. The researches carried out showed that the highest total duration of lactation has been obtained by Romanian Spotted Cattle on the Afumati farm (334.68 ± 1.82 days) with approximately 2.5% higher than lowest total duration of lactation (326.46 ± 1.87 days) at the Mogosoaia farm. The best average production of milk has been obtained at the Pantelimon farm 8092.63 ± 35.53 kg, top with 6,45% than that of Afumati farm and 17.85% than milk production obtained in Mogosoaia farm. Regard to the results obtained on average quantity of milk on normal lactation, showed that again the Pantelimon farm have been reach out the best results. Regarding at the percentage of fat, it showed that the best results have been obtained in the Mogosoaia farm 3.9 ± 0.004% followed by Pantelimon farm 3.75 ± 0.003 % and Afumati farm with 3.7 ± 0.004 %. About the developments in the milk quantity, of the percentage of protein and a percentage and quantity of fat in relation to lactation, it is found that biological material from the farms named above has a good precocity in the direction of milk production. This paper presents Romanian Black Spotted characters regarding repeatability parameter for the development, reproduction and milk production at the Pantelimon and Mogosoaia farms. The milk production is the main target when we follow the goal of milk production exploitation from those two farms. From the repeatability character point of view, the quantitative characters can be divided in three categories: strong repeatability characters, when the repeatability coefficient is higher than 0.50 (milk production quality acquiring), medium repeatability characters when the repeatability coefficient is between 0.20 and 0.50 (milk production quantitative acquiring), poor repeatability characters when the repeatability coefficient is lower than 0.20 (reproduction characters and general biologic acquiring characters). The repeatability for milk quantity has different values for Pantelimon farm (0.484±0.11) and Mogosoaia farm (0.430±0.15); we found similar values like other authors for Romanian Black Spotted population. The study conduct by us revealed lower values for repeatability at the fat percent (0.430±0.17 - Pantelimon farm and 0.380±0.17 - Mogosoaia farm) comparative with those from the profile literature: Cacula et al .(1968)-0.780, Alexoiu (1983) - 0.690, Murat (1985) - 0.710; exception being the values calculated by Georgescu (1984) - 0.220. The repeatability characters for milk production determined by us at the Romanian Black Spotted cattle population from our study is alike with the values write in the profile literature, exception being the fat percent, which is lower.
