Abstract: We review the capabilities of two projects that have been proposed as the next major European facility, for consideration in the upcoming update of the European Strategy for Particle Physics: CLIC and FCC. We focus on their physics potentials and emphasise the key differences between the linear or circular approaches. We stress the uniqueness of the FCC-ee programme for precision electroweak physics at the $Z$ peak and the $WW$ threshold, as well as its unequalled statistics for Higgs physics and high accuracy for observing possible new phenomena in Higgs and $Z$ decays, whereas CLIC and FCC-ee offer similar capabilities near the $t \overline t$ threshold. Whilst CLIC offers the possibility of energy upgrades to 1500 and 3000 GeV, FCC-ee paves the way for FCC-hh. The latter offers unique capabilities for making direct or indirect discoveries in a new energy range, and has the highest sensitivity to the self-couplings of the Higgs boson and any anomalous couplings. We consider the FCC programme to be the best option to maintain Europe's place at the high-energy frontier during the coming decades., Comment: Contribution to the update of the European Strategy for Particle Physics

Abstract: A search for the production and non-standard decay of a Higgs boson, h, into four taus through intermediate pseudoscalars, a, is conducted on 683 pb-1 of data collected by the ALEPH experiment at centre-of-mass energies from 183 to 209 GeV. No excess of events above background is observed, and exclusion limits are placed on the combined production cross section times branching ratio, \xi^2 = \sigma(e+e- --> Zh)/\sigma_{SM}(e+e- --> Zh) x B(h --> aa)x B(a --> \tau^+\tau^-)^2. For mh < 107 GeV/c2 and 4 < ma < 10 GeV/c2, \xi^2 > 1 is excluded at the 95% confidence level., Comment: 18 pages, 16 figures

4. Determination of the Branching Fraction for B --> Xc l nu Decays and of |Vcb| from Hadronic-Mass and Lepton-Energy Moments

Abstract: We determine the inclusive B --> Xc l nu branching fraction, the CKM matrix element |Vcb|, and other heavy-quark parameters from a simultaneous fit to moments of the hadronic-mass and lepton-energy distributions in semileptonic B-meson decays, measured as a function of the lower limit on the lepton energy, using data recorded with the BABAR detector. Using Heavy Quark Expansions (HQEs) to order 1/mb^3, we extract BR_cenu=(10.61 +- 0.16(exp) +- 0.06(HQE))% and |Vcb| = (41.4 +- 0.4(exp) +- 0.4(HQE) +- 0.6(th)) 10^-3. Abstract: Electroweak measurements performed with data taken at the electron-positron collider LEP at CERN from 1995 to 2000 are reported. The combined data set considered in this report corresponds to a total luminosity of about 3fb-1 collected by the four LEP experiments ALEPH, DELPHI, L3 and OPAL, at centre-of-mass energies ranging from 130GeV to 209GeV. Combining the published results of the four LEP experiments, the measurements include total and differential cross-sections in photon-pair, fermion-pair and four-fermion production, the latter resulting from both double-resonant W W and Z Z production as well as singly resonant production. Total and differential cross-sections are measured precisely, providing a stringent test of the Standard Model at centre-of-mass energies never explored before in electron-positron collisions. Final-state interaction effects in four-fermion production, such as those arising from colour reconnection and Bose-Einstein correlations between the two W decay systems arising in W W production, are searched for and upper limits on the strength of possible effects are obtained. The data are used to determine fundamental properties of the W boson and the electroweak theory. Among others, the mass and width of the W boson, mW and ΓW, the branching fraction of W decays to hadrons, B (W → had), and the trilinear gauge-boson self-couplings g1Z, κγ and λγ are determined to be: mW=80.376±0.033GeV ΓW=2.195±0.083GeV B(W→had)=67.41±0.27% g1Z=0.9840+0.018-0.020 κγ=0.982±0.042λγ=-0.022±0.019. © 2013 Elsevier B.V.

7. Search for neutral Higgs bosons in e+e- collisions at sqrt{s} <= 196 GeV

Abstract: A preliminary search for neutral Higgs bosons is performed in the data collected by ALEPH in 1999, corresponding to integrated luminosities of 29.0 and 69.5 pb^-1 at centre-of-mass energies of 191.6 and 195.6 GeV respectively. No evidence for a signal is found. Combined with the lower energy ALEPH data, this observation leads to a 95% confidence level lower mass limit of 98.8 GeV/c^2 for the Standard Model Higgs boson. In the MSSM, the lower limit for the mass of the lightest CP-even Higgs boson h, is found to be 85.2 GeV/c^2 for all values of tan(beta)>=1., Comment: 5 pages, 5 figures. 8. Study of Fermion pair production in e+e- collisions at 130-183 GeV

Abstract: The cross sections and forward-backward asymmetries of hadronic and leptonic events produced in e+e- collisions at centre-of-mass energies of 130-183 GeV are presented. Results for ee, mumu, tautau, qq, bb and cc production show no significant deviation from the Standard Model predictions. This enable constraints to be set upon physics beyond the Standard Model such as four-fermion contact interactions, leptoquarks, Z' bosons and R-parity violating squarks and sneutrinos. Limits on the energy scale Lambda of eeff contact interactions are typically in the range from 2-10 TeV. Limits on R-parity violating sneutrinos reach masses of a few hundred GeV for large values of their Yukawa couplings., Comment: 43 pages, 18 figures

9. Study of tau decays involving kaons, spectral functions and determination of the strange quark mass

Abstract: All ALEPH measurements of branching ratios of tau decays involving kaons are summarized including a combination of results obtained with K^0_S and K^0_L detection. The decay dynamics are studied, leading to the determination of contributions from vector K^*(892) and K^{*}(1410), and axial-vector K_1(1270) and K_1(1400) resonances. Agreement with isospin symmetry is observed among the different final states. Under the hypothesis of the conserved vector current, the spectral function for the K\bar{K}\pi mode is compared with the corresponding cross section for low energy e^+e^- annihilation, yielding an axial-vector fraction of (94^{+6}_{-8})% for this mode. The branching ratio for tau decay into all strange final states is determined to be B(\tau^-\to X^-(S=-1)\nu_\tau)=(28.7\pm1.2)\times 10^{-3}. The measured mass spectra of the strange tau decay modes are exploited to derive the S=-1 spectral function. A combination of strange and nonstrange spectral functions is used to determine the strange quark mass and nonperturbative contributions to the strange hadronic width. A method is developed to avoid the bad convergence of the spin zero hadronic component, with the result m_s(M_\tau^2)=(176^{+46}_{-57}) MeV/c^2. The evolution down to 1 GeV gives m_s(1 {GeV}^2) = (234^{+61}_{-76}) MeV/c^2., Comment: 34 pages, 12 figures

10. Measurement of triple gauge WWgamma couplings at LEP2 using photonic events

Abstract: A study of events with photons and missing energy has been performed with the data sample obtained with the ALEPH detector at centre-of-mass energies from 161 to 184 GeV,corresponding to a total integrated luminosity of about 80 pb**-1. The measured distributions are in agreement with Standard Model predictions, leading to constraints on W W gamma gauge coupling parameters Delta(kappa_gamma) and lambda_gamma. The results from the fit to the cross sections and to the energy and angular distributions of the photons are: Delta(kappa_gamma) = 0.05 +1.15/-1.10 (stat) +/- 0.25 (syst) lambda_gamma = 0.05 +1.55/-1.45 (stat) +/- 0.30 (syst), Comment: 11 pages, 6 figures

Abstract: We present a measurement of the partial branching fractions and mass spectra of the exclusive radiative penguin processes B-->Kpipigamma in the range m(Kpipi)pi(+)pi(-). Using 232 x 10(6) e(+)e(-)-->BB events recorded by the BABAR experiment at the SLAC PEP-II asymmetric-energy storage ring, we measure the branching fractions B(B(+)-->K(+)pi(-)pi(+)gamma)=[2.95+/-0.13(stat)+/-0.20(syst)] x 10(-5), B(B(0)-->K(+)pi(-)pi(0)gamma)=[4.07+/-0.22(stat)+/-0.31(syst)] x 10(-5), B(B(0)-->K(0)pi(+)pi(-)gamma)=[1.85+/-0.21(stat)+/-0.12(syst)] x 10(-5), and B(B(+)-->K(0)pi(+)pi(0)gamma)=[4.56+/-0.42(stat)+/-0.31(syst)] x 10(-5).

Abstract: We present a measurement of the cross section of the process e(+)e(-)-->pi(+)pi(-)psi(2S) from threshold up to 8 GeV center-of-mass energy using events containing initial-state radiation, produced at the SLAC PEP-II e(+)e(-) storage rings. The study is based on 298 fb(-1) of data recorded with the BABAR detector. A structure is observed in the cross section not far above threshold, near 4.32 GeV. We also investigate the compatibility of this structure with the Y(4260) previously reported by this experiment.

Abstract: We report on a study of inclusive B- and B̄0 meson decays to D0X, D̄0X, D+X, D-X, Ds+X, Ds-X, Λc+X, Λ̄c-X, based on a sample of 231×106 BB̄ events recorded with the BABAR detector at the Υ(4S) resonance. Events are selected by completely reconstructing one B and searching for a reconstructed charm particle in the rest of the event. From the measured branching fractions of these decays, we infer the number of charm and anticharm particles per B̄ decay, separately for charged and neutral parents. We derive the total charm yield per B- decay, nc-=1.208±0. 023±0.040-0.029+0.035, and per B̄0 decay, nc0=1.203±0. 030±0.034-0.035+0.044 where the first uncertainty is statistical, the second is systematic, and the third reflects the charm branching-fraction uncertainties. We also present the charm momentum distributions measured in the B̄ rest frame. © 2007 The American Physical Society.

Abstract: Using 230.2 fb-1 of e+e- annihilation data collected with the BABAR detector at and near the peak of the Upsilon(4S) resonance, 489+/-55 events containing the pure leptonic decay Ds+-->micro;+numicro have been isolated in charm-tagged events. The ratio of partial widths Gamma(D+-->micro+numicro)/Gamma(Ds+-->phipi+) is measured to be 0.143+/-0.018+/-0.006 allowing a determination of the pseudoscalar decay constant fDs=(283+/-17+/-7+/-14) MeV. The errors are statistical, systematic, and from the Ds+-->phipi+ branching ratio, respectively.

Abstract: We measure the branching ratios of the Cabibbo-suppressed decays Λc+→ΛK+ and Λc+→Σ0K+ relative to the Cabibbo-favored decay modes Λc+→Λπ+ and Λc+→Σ0π+ to be 0.044±0.004(stat.)±0.003(syst. ) and 0.038±0.005(stat.)±0.003(syst.), respectively. We set an upper limit on the branching ratio at the 90% confidence level for Λc+→ΛK+π+π- of 4.1×10-2 relative to Λc+→Λπ+, and for Λc+→Σ0K+π+π- of 2.0×10-2 relative to Λc+→Σ0π+. We also measure the branching fraction for the Cabibbo-favored mode Λc+→Σ0π+ relative to Λc+→Λπ+ to be 0.977±0.015(stat.) ±0.051(syst.). This analysis was performed using a data sample with an integrated luminosity of 125fb-1 collected by the BABAR detector at the PEP-II asymmetric-energy B factory at SLAC. © 2007 The American Physical Society.

Abstract: We report the observation of decays B{0}-->D{s}{(*)+}pi- and B{0}-->D{s}{(*)-}K+ in a sample of 230 x 10(6) Upsilon(4S)-->BB[over] events recorded with the BABAR detector at the SLAC PEP-II asymmetric-energy e+ e- storage ring. We measure the branching fractions B(B{0}-->D{s}{+}pi-)=(1.3+/-0.3(stat)+/-0.2(syst))x10(-5), B(B{0}-->D{s}{-} K+)=(2.5+/-0.4(stat)+/-0.4(syst))x10(-5), B(B{0}-->D{s}{*+}pi-)=(2.8+/-0.6(stat)+/-0.5(syst))x10(-5), and B(B{0}-->D{s}{*-}K+)=(2.0+/-0.5(stat)+/-0.4(syst))x10(-5). The significances of the measurements to differ from zero are 5, 9, 6, and 5 standard deviations, respectively. This is the first observation of B{0}-->D{s}{+}pi-, B{0}-->D{s}{*+}pi-, and B{0}-->D{s}{*-}K+ decays.

Abstract: Using 65×106 Υ(4S)→BB̄ events collected with the BABAR detector at the PEP-II e+e- storage ring at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center, we measure the color-favored branching fractions B(B̄0→D+π- )=(2.55±0.05±0.16)×10-3, B(B̄0→D*+π-)=(2. 79±0.08±0.17)×10-3, B(B-→D0π-)=(4.90±0. 07±0.22)×10-3 and B(B-→D*0π-)=(5.52±0. 17±0.42)×10-3, where the first error is statistical and the second is systematic. With these results and the current world average for the branching fraction for the color-suppressed decay B̄0→D(*) 0π0, the cosines of the strong phase difference δ between the I=1/2 and I=3/2 isospin amplitudes are determined to be cos δ=0.872-0.007-0.029+0. 008+0.031 for the B̄→Dπ process and cos δ=0.924-0.017-0. 054+0.019+0.063 for the B̄→D*π process. Under the isospin symmetry, the results for cos δ suggest the presence of final-state interactions in the Dπ system. © 2007 The American Physical Society.

Abstract: We present a measurement of the branching fraction and time-dependent CP asymmetry of B(0)-->rho0K0. The results are obtained from a data sample of 227x10(6) Upsilon(4S)-->BB decays collected with the BABAR detector at the PEP-II asymmetric-energy B factory at Stanford Linear Accelerator Center. From a time-dependent maximum likelihood fit yielding 111+/-19 signal events, we find B(B(0)-->rho0K0)=(4.9+/-0.8+/-0.9)x10(-6), where the first error is statistical and the second systematic. We report the measurement of the CP parameters S(rho)(0)K(0)S=0.20+/-0.52+/-0.24 and C(rho)(0)K(0)S=0.64+/-0.41+/-0.20.

25. Observation of a Charmed Baryon Decaying to D;{0}p at a Mass Near 2.94 GeV/c;{2}.

Abstract: A search for charmed baryons decaying to D(0)p reveals two states: the Lambdac(2880)+ baryon and a previously unobserved state at a mass of [2939.8+/-1.3(stat)+/-1.0(syst)] MeV/c2 and with an intrinsic width of [17.5+/-5.2(stat)+/-5.9(syst)] MeV. Consistent and significant signals are observed for the K(-)pi(+) and K(-)pi(+)pi(-)pi(+) decay modes of the D0 in 287 fb(-1) annihilation data recorded by the BABAR detector at a center-of-mass energy of 10.58 GeV. There is no evidence in the D+p spectrum of doubly charged partners. The mass and intrinsic width of the Lambdac(2880)+ baryon and relative yield of the two baryons are also measured.

Abstract: We present measurements of the branching fractions for the charmless two-body decays B0→π+π- and B0→K+π-, and a search for the decay B0→K+K-. We include the effects of final-state radiation from the daughter mesons for the first time, and quote branching fractions for the inclusive processes B0→h+h′-nγ, where h and h′ are pions or kaons. The maximum value of the sum of the energies of the n undetected photons, Eγmax, is mode-dependent. Using a data sample of approximately 227×106 Υ(4S)→BB̄ decays collected with the BABAR detector at the PEP-II asymmetric-energy e+e- collider at SLAC, we measure: B(B0→π+π-nγ;Eγmax =150MeV)=(5.1±0.4±0.2) ×10-6, B(B0→K+π-nγ;Eγmax =105MeV)=(18.1±0. 6±0.6)×10-6, B(B0→K+K-nγ;Eγmax =59MeV)

Abstract: We observe a new D_{s} meson with mass (2856.6+/-1.5_{stat}+/-5.0_{syst}) MeV/c;{2} and width (48+/-7_{stat}+/-10_{syst}) MeV/c;{2} decaying into D0K+ and D;{+}K_{S};{0}. In the same mass distributions, we also observe a broad structure with mass (2688+/-4_{stat}+/-3_{syst}) MeV/c;{2} and width (112+/-7_{stat}+/-36_{syst}) MeV/c;{2}. To obtain this result, we use 240 fb;{-1} of data recorded by the BABAR detector at the PEP-II asymmetric-energy e;{+}e;{-} storage rings at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center running at center-of-mass energies near 10.6 GeV.

Abstract: We analyze 230.4 fb;{-1} of data collected with the BABAR detector at the PEP-II e;{+}e;{-} collider at SLAC to search for evidence of D0-D[over ];{0} mixing using regions of phase space in the decay D;{0}-->K;{+}pi;{-}pi;{0}. We measure the time-integrated mixing rate R_{M}=(0.023_{-0.014};{+0.018}(stat.)+/-0.004(syst.))%, and R_{M}K;{+}pi;{-}pi;{0} relative to D;{0}-->K;{-}pi;{+}pi;{0} to be (0.214+/-0.008(stat.)+/-0.008(syst.))%.

Abstract: We report a measurement of the B-->pi l nu branching fraction based on 211 fb(-1) of data collected with the BABAR detector. We use samples of B0 and B+ mesons tagged by a second B meson reconstructed in a semileptonic or hadronic decay and combine the results assuming isospin symmetry to obtain B(B(0)-->pi- l+ nu) = (1.33+/-0.17stat+/-0.11syst) x 10(-4). We determine the magnitude of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix element absolute value V(ub) by combining the partial branching fractions measured in ranges of the momentum transfer squared and theoretical calculations of the form factor. Using a recent lattice QCD calculation, we find absolute value V(ub) = (4.5+/-0.5stat+/-0.3syst(+0.7) -0.5FF x 10(-3), where the last error is due to the normalization of the form factor.

Abstract: We report searches for B-meson decays to the charmless final states rhoK* and f0(980)K* with a sample of 232x10(6) BB pairs collected with the BABAR detector at the PEP-II e+e- collider. We measure in units of 10(-6) the following branching fractions, where the first error quoted is statistical and the second systematic, or upper limits are given at the 90% confidence level: B(B+-->rho0K*+)rho+K*0)=9.6+/-1.7+/-1.5, B(B0-->rho-K*+)rho0K*0)=5.6+/-0.9+/-1.3, B(B+-->f0(980)K*+)=5.2+/-1.2+/-0.5, and B(B0-->f0(980)K*0)rho+K*0)=0.52+/-0.10+/-0.04, fL(B0-->rho0K*0)=0.57+/-0.09+/-0.08, ACP(B+-->rho+K*0)=-0.01+/-0.16+/-0.02, ACP(B0-->rho0K*0)=0.09+/-0.19+/-0.02, and ACP(B+-->f0(980)K*+)=-0.34+/-0.21+/-0.03.

Abstract: We measure the dependence of B̄0→D*+e-ν̄e on the decay angles and momentum transfer. The data sample consists of ∼86×106 BB̄-pairs accumulated on the Υ(4S) resonance by the BABAR detector at the asymmetric e+e- collider PEP-II. We specify the three form factors by two ratios R1 and R2, and by a single parameter ρ2 characterizing the polynomial representing hA1, the function which describes the momentum-transfer dependence of the form factor A1. We determine R1, R2, and ρ2 using an unbinned maximum likelihood fit to the full decay distribution. The results are R1=1.396±0.060±0.035±0.027, R2=0.885±0.040±0.022±0.013, and ρ2=1.145±0. 059±0.030±0.035. The stated uncertainties are the statistical from the data, statistical from the size of the Monte Carlo sample and the systematic uncertainty, respectively. In addition, based on this measurement, we give an updated value for the CKM matrix element |Vcb|. © 2006 The American Physical Society.

Abstract: Using 232fb-1 of e+e- collision data recorded by the BABAR experiment, we measure the rates of three-body Cabibbo-suppressed decays of the D0 meson relative to the Cabibbo-favored decay, D0→K-π+π0. We find: B(D0→π-π+π0)B(D0→K-π+π0)=(10.59±0.06±0. 13)×10-2 and B(D0→K-K+π0)B(D0→K-π+π0)=(2.37±0. 03±0.04)×10-2, where the errors are statistical and systematic, respectively. These measurements are significantly more precise than the current world average measurements. © 2006 The American Physical Society.

Abstract: The photon spectrum in B-->Xs gamma decay, where Xs is any strange hadronic state, is studied using a data sample of 88.5 x 10(6) e+ e- --> Upsilon(4S) --> BB decays collected by the BABAR experiment at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center. The partial branching fraction, DeltaB(B --> Xs gamma) = (3.67+/-0.29(stat)+/-0.34(syst)+/-0.29(model)) x 10(-4), the first moment = 2.288+/-0.025+/-0.017+/-0.015 GeV, and the second moment E2(gamma) = 0.0328+/-0.0040+/-0.0023+/-0.0036 GeV2 are measured for the photon energy range 1.9 GeV < E gamma < 2.7 GeV. They are also measured for narrower E gamma ranges. The moments are then fit to recent theoretical calculations to extract the heavy quark expansion parameters m(b) and mu2(pi) and to extrapolate the partial branching fraction to E gamma > 1.6 GeV. In addition, the direct CP asymmetry A(CP)(B-->X(s+d gamma) is measured to be -0.110+/-0.115(stat)+/-0.017(syst).

Abstract: In a study of B+→J/ψγK+ decays, we find evidence for the radiative decay X(3872)→J/ψγ with a statistical significance of 3.4σ. We measure the product of branching fractions B(B+→X(3872)K+) •B(X(3872)→J/ψγ)=(3.3±1.0±0.3)×10-6, where the uncertainties are statistical and systematic, respectively. We also measure the branching fraction B(B+→χc1K+)=(4.9±0.2±0.4) ×10-4. These results are obtained from (287±3) million BB̄ decays collected at the Υ(4S) resonance with the BABAR detector at the PEP-II B Factory at SLAC. © 2006 The American Physical Society.

Abstract: We present a search for the decay of a B0 or B̄0 meson to a K̄*0K0 or K*0K̄0 final state, using a sample of approximately 232×106 BB̄ events collected with the BABAR detector at the PEP-II asymmetric energy e+e- collider at SLAC. The measured branching fraction is B(B0→K̄*0K0)+B(B0→K*0K̄0)=(0.2-0.8- 0.3+0.9+0.1)×10-6. We obtain the following upper limit for the branching fraction at 90% confidence level: B(B0→K̄*0K0) +B(B0→K*0K̄0)

Abstract: We report the first observation of e(+)e(-) annihilation into states of positive C parity, namely, rho(0)rho(0) and phirho(0). The two states are observed in the pi(+)pi(-)pi(+)pi(-) and K(+)K(-)pi(+)pi(-) final states, respectively, in a data sample of 225 fb(-1) collected by the BABAR experiment at the Positron-Electron Project II e(+)e(-) storage rings at energies near sqrt[s]=10.58 GeV. The distributions of costheta(*), where theta(*) is the center-of-mass polar angle of the phi meson or the forward rho(0) meson, suggest production by two-virtual-photon annihilation. We measure cross sections within the range |costheta(*)|rho(0)rho(0))=20.7+/-0.7(stat)+/-2.7(syst) fb and sigma(e(+)e(-)-->phirho(0))=5.7+/-0.5(stat)+/-0.8(syst) fb.

Abstract: A measurement of the spin of the Omega(-) hyperon produced through the exclusive process Xi(c)(0)-->Omega(-)K(+) is presented using a total integrated luminosity of 116 fb(-1) recorded with the BABAR detector at the e(+)e(-) asymmetric-energy B factory at SLAC. Under the assumption that the Xi(c)(0) has spin 1/2, the angular distribution of the Lambda from Omega(-)-->LambdaK(-) decay is inconsistent with all half-integer Omega(-) spin values other than 3/2. Lower statistics data for the process Omega(c)(0)-->Omega(-)pi(+) from a 230 fb(-1) sample are also found to be consistent with Omega(-) spin 3/2. If the Xi(c)(0) spin were 3/2, an Omega(-) spin of 5/2 could not be excluded.

Abstract: The four LEP collaborations, ALEPH, DELPHI, L3 and OPAL, have searched for the neutral Higgs bosons which are predicted by the Minimal Supersymmetric standard model (MSSM). The data of the four collaborations are statistically combined and examined for their consistency with the background hypothesis and with a possible Higgs boson signal. The combined LEP data show no significant excess of events which would indicate the production of Higgs bosons. The search results are used to set upper bounds on the cross-sections of various Higgs-like event topologies. The results are interpreted within the MSSM in a number of "benchmark" models, including CP-conserving and CP-violating scenarios. These interpretations lead in all cases to large exclusions in the MSSM parameter space. Absolute limits are set on the parameter tan β and, in some scenarios, on the masses of neutral Higgs bosons.

Abstract: We present measurements of branching fractions of B0 decays to multibody final states containing protons, based on 232×106 Υ(4S)→BB̄ decays collected with the BABAR detector at the SLAC PEP-II asymmetric-energy B factory. We measure the branching fractions B(B0→D̄0pp̄)=(1. 13±0.06±0.08)×10-4, B(B0→D̄*0pp̄)=(1. 01±0.10±0.09)×10-4, B(B0→D-pp̄π+)=(3. 38±0.14±0.29)×10-4, and B(B0→D*-pp̄π+)= (4.81±0.22±0.44)×10-4 where the first error is statistical and the second systematic. We present a search for the charmed pentaquark state, Θc(3100) observed by H1 and put limits on the branching fraction B(B0→Θcp̄π+)×B(Θc→D*-p)

Abstract: Branching fraction and asymmetry measurements of charmless B+→K*+h1+h2- (where h1,2=K, π) decays are presented, using a data sample of 232×106 Υ(4S)→BB̄ decays collected with the BABAR detector at the SLAC PEP-II asymmetric-energy B factory. Using a maximum likelihood fit, the following branching fraction results were obtained: B(B+→K*+K+K-)=(36.2±3.3±3.6)×10-6 and B(B+→K*+π+π-)=(75.3±6.0±8.1)×10-6. Upper limits were set for B(B+→K*+π+K-)

Abstract: We present a measurement of the branching fraction of the decay B(0)-->a1 (+/)(1260)pi(/+) with a1 (+/)(1260)-->pi(/+)pi(+/)pi(+/). The data sample corresponds to 218 x 10(6) BB[over ] pairs produced in e+e- annihilation through the Upsilon(4S) resonance. We measure the branching fraction Beta(B(0)-->a1(+/)(1260)pi(/+))Beta(a1(+/)(1260)-->pi(/+)pi(+/)pi(+/)) = (16.6+/1.9+/1.5) x 10(-6), where the first error quoted is statistical and the second is systematic.

Abstract: We present a study of the decays B̄0→D(*)0K̄(*)0 using a sample of 226×106 Υ(4S)→BB̄ decays collected with the BABAR detector at the PEP-II asymmetric-energy e+e- collider at SLAC. We report evidence for the decay of B0 and B̄0 mesons to the D*0KS0 final state with an average branching fraction B(B∼0→D*0K∼0) ≡(B(B̄0→D*0K̄0)+B(B0→D*0K0))/2=(3. 6±1.2±0.3)×10-5. Similarly, we measure B(B∼0→ D0K∼0)≡(B(B̄0→D0K̄0)+B(B0→D0K0))/2=(5.3±0. 7±0.3)×10-5 for the D0KS0 final state. We measure B(B̄0→D0K̄*0)=(4.0±0.7±0.3)×10-5 and set a 90% confidence level upper limit B(B̄0→D̄0K̄*0)

Abstract: We analyze the three-body charmless decay B ± →K ± K ± K using a sample of 226.0±2.5 million BB̄ pairs collected by the BABAR detector. We measure the total branching fraction and CP asymmetry to be B=(35.2±0.9±1.6) ×10 - 6 and A CP =(-1.7±2.6±1.5)%. We fit the Dalitz plot distribution using an isobar model and measure the magnitudes and phases of the decay coefficients. We find no evidence of CP violation for the individual components of the isobar model. The decay dynamics is dominated by the K + K - S-wave, for which we perform a partial-wave analysis in the region m(K + K - ) < 2GeV/c2. Significant production of the f 0 (980) resonance, and of a spin zero state near 1.55GeV/c2 are required in the isobar model description of the data. The partial-wave analysis supports this observation. © 2006 The American Physical Society.

Abstract: We present branching fraction measurements of 12 B meson decays of the form B→D( * )Ds(J)(*). The results are based on Υ(4S) decays in BB̄ pairs. One of the B mesons is fully reconstructed and the other decays to two charm mesons, of which one is reconstructed, and the mass and momentum of the other is inferred by kinematics. Combining these results with previous exclusive branching fraction measurements, we determine B(Ds-→ π - )=(4.62±0.36 stat. ±0.51 syst. )%, B(D sJ (2460) - →Ds*-π0)= (56±13 stat. ±9 syst. )% and B(D sJ (2460) - →Ds-γ)=(16±4 stat. ±3 syst. )%. © 2006 The American Physical Society.

Abstract: A study of the DsJ*(2317)+ and DsJ(2460) + mesons in inclusive cc̄ production is presented using 232fb-1 of data collected by the BABAR experiment near √s=10.6GeV. Final states consisting of a Ds+ meson along with one or more π0, π±, or γ particles are considered. Estimates of the mass and limits on the width are provided for both mesons and for the Ds1(2536)+ meson. A search is also performed for neutral and doubly charged partners of the DsJ*(2317)+ meson. © 2006 The American Physical Society.

Abstract: We present a search for the rare B-meson decay B0→a1±ρ with a1±→π + π - π ± . We use (110±1.2)×106Υ(4S)→BB̄ decays collected with the BABAR detector at the PEP-II asymmetric-energy B Factory at SLAC. We obtain an upper limit of 30×10 - 6(90%C.L.) for the branching fraction product B(B0→a1±ρ)B(a1±→π + π - π ± ), where we assume that the a1± decays exclusively to ρ0π ± . © 2006 The American Physical Society.

Abstract: We describe searches for decays of B mesons to the charmless final states η′η′K. The data consist of 228×106 BB̄ pairs produced in e+e- annihilation, collected with the BABAR detector at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center. The 90% confidence level upper limits for the branching fractions are B(B0→η′η′K0)

Abstract: We present measurements of the B→ηKγ branching fractions and upper limits for the B→η′Kγ branching fractions. For B+→ηK+γ we also measure the time-integrated charge asymmetry. The data sample, collected with the BABAR detector at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center, represents 232×106 produced BB̄ pairs. The results for branching fractions and upper limits at 90% confidence level in units of 10-6 are: B(B0→ηK0γ)=11.3-2.6+2.8±0.6, B(B+→ηK+γ)=10.0±1.3±0.5, B(B0→η′ K0γ)
