Basketball competitions are one of the most watched sports activities in the world. As a result of this popularity, information technologies are frequently used in basketball. With the development of statistics and data storage systems, parameters such as match statistics, player properties can now be stored very easily. The prediction of the competition result is important in that it provides information to people before the competition. While there are studies on American basketball leagues in this topic, there are few studies on European basketball leagues. As a first in the literature in this study, results of competitions for Turkish Men's Basketball Super League game prediction were examined by using Four Factor model, DefenseOfense model and machine learning methods together. Accordingly, the matches played between 2017-2018 were used as data set and examined together with the Four Factor model. Popular machine learning methods; kNN, Logistic Regression, Multilayer Perceptron, Naive Bayes, j48 and Voting were used and the results were evaluated. As a result, 96.55% predicted success was achieved., Basketbol maçları dünyada en çok izlenen spor aktivitelerinden birisidir. Bu popülerlik sonucunda basketbol sporunda bilgi teknolojileri sık sık kullanılmaktadır. İstatistik ve veri depolama sistemlerinin gelişmesiyle maç istatistikleri, oyuncu özellikleri gibi parametreler artık çok kolay saklanabilmektedir. Müsabaka sonucu tahmini insanlara müsabaka öncesi bilgi vermesi açısından önemlidir. Müsabaka sonucu tahmini ile ilgili olarak Amerikan basketbol ligleri üzerine çalışmalar mevcut iken Avrupa basketbolu ligleri üzerine çalışmaların sayısı azdır. Literatürde bir ilk olarak bu çalışmada, müsabaka sonucu tahmini için Türkiye Erkekler Basketbol Süper Ligi maçları Dört Faktör ve DefansOfans modeli ile makine öğrenmesi yöntemleri beraber kullanılarak ele alınmıştır. Buna göre 2017-2018 tarihlerinde oynanan maçlar veri seti olarak kullanılmış ve Dört Faktör modeli ile birlikte incelenmiştir. Popüler makine öğrenmesi yöntemleri olan kNN, Lojistik Regresyon, Çok Katmanlı Algılayıcı, Naive Bayes, j48 ve Oylama ile kullanılmış ve çıkan sonuçlar değerlendirilmiştir. Sonuç olarak %96,55’lik tahmin başarısı yakalanmıştır.

With the recent developments in the IT sector, the performance of network technologies offered to home users has been continuously increasing. With this increase, internet services in home networks that are presented using different features and infrastructures are becoming more heterogeneous. In an environment where all networks are considered to be available, using the most efficient network service according to the needs of users is a complex optimization problem. The selection of an access network that will provide the most useful service in terms of the purpose to be used and which will be needed in terms of all qualitative and quantitative criteria is a multi-criteria decision making problem with uncertainty. In this study, in order to better model this uncertainty, interval type-2 fuzzy AHP and interval type-2 fuzzy TOPSIS methods are used separately and compared. Criteria used in the study; delay, packet loss, jitter, cost, total bandwidth, and available bandwidth. Then, five different networks, ADSL, FiberNet, Cable network, PLC and 3G, are evaluated according to these criteria. Successful results are obtained with the application of AHS and TOPSIS methods by using Type-2 fuzzy sets and a clearer separation of the alternatives is achieved., Son zamanlarda bilişim sektöründeki gelişmelerle birlikte, ev kullanıcılarına sunulan ağ teknolojilerinin performansları sürekli artış göstermektedir. Bu artış ile farklı özellik ve altyapıları kullanılarak sunulan ev ağlarındaki internet hizmeti gittikçe daha heterojen hale gelmektedir. Tüm ağların var olarak kabul edildiği bir ortamda, kullanıcıların ihtiyaçlarına göre en verimli ağ hizmetini kullanması karmaşık bir optimizasyon problemidir. Kullanılacak amaç doğrultusunda, kullanıcının ihtiyaç duyacağı ve tüm nitel ve nicel kriterler açısından en yararlı hizmeti sunacak erişim ağının seçilmesi, belirsizlik içeren çok kriterli bir karar verme problemidir. Bu çalışmada, bu belirsizliği daha iyi modelleyebilmek için aralık tip-2 bulanık AHS ve aralık tip-2 bulanık TOPSIS yöntemleri ayrı ayrı kullanılmış ve kıyaslanmıştır. Çalışmada kullanılan kriterler; gecikme, paket kaybı, seğirme, maliyet, toplam bant genişliği ve kullanılabilir bant genişliği olarak belirlenmiştir. Daha sonra ADSL, FiberNet, Kablonet, PLC ve 3G olmak üzere beş farklı ağ, bu kriterlere göre değerlendirilmiştir. Tip-2 bulanık kümeler kullanılarak AHS ve TOPSIS yöntemlerinin uygulanması ile başarılı sonuçlar elde edilmiş ve alternatiflerin daha net ayrışması sağlanmıştır.

The aim of this study is to explore the usage of statistical learning methods on wearable devices and realize an experimental study for recognition of human activities by using smartwatch sensor data. To achieve this objective, mobile applications that run on smartwatch and smartphone were developed to gain training data and detect human activity momentarily; 500 pattern data were obtained with 4‐second intervals for each activity (walking, typing, stationary, running, standing, writing on board, brushing teeth, cleaning and writing). Created dataset was tested with five different statistical learning methods (Naive Bayes, k nearest neighbour (kNN), logistic regression, Bayesian network and multilayer perceptron) and their performances were compared.

Birçok ekonomik, endüstriyel, finansal karar problemleri çok kriterlidir. Bu tür problemlerde alternatiflerin arasından optimal seçimi yapmak oldukça zor ve karmaşık bir işlemdir. Son yıllarda bu tür problemleri çözmek amacıyla farklı yöntemler geliştirilmiştir. Bu yöntemlerden en verimli ve en kolay kullanılır olan Promethee, gerçek sayılarla ifade edilebilen kriterleri içeren problemlerle uğraşır. Fakat günlük hayatta dilsel olarak ifade edilebilen kriterler de vardır ve bunların sayısal olarak modellenmesi oldukça zordur. Bu yüzden, Promethee yöntemi ise kesin olmayan, dilsel olarak ifade edilen bu kriterler için eksik kalmaktadır. Bu eksikliği gidermek için, bulanık küme yaklaşımı kullanılabilir. Bulanık girdiler kullanılarak genişletilen Promethee yöntemi, aynı sınıftan yedi farklı otomobil seçimi için fiyat, yakıt, performans ve güvenlik kriterleri kullanılarak uygulanmıştır. Elde edilen sonuçların tutarlı ve uygun olduğu görülmüştür., Most of the economical, industrial, financial or political decision problems are multi-criteria. In these multi criteria problems, optimal selection of alternatives is hard and complex process. Recently, some kinds of methods are improved to solve these problems. Promethee is one of most efficient and easiest method and solves problems that consist quantitative criteria. However, in daily life, there are criteria which are explained as linguistic and cannot modeled numerical. Hence, Promethee method is incomplete for linguistic criteria which are imprecise. To satisfy this deficiency, fuzzy set approximation can be used. Promethee method, which is extended with using fuzzy inputs, is applied to car selection for seven different cars in same class by using criteria: price, fuel, performance and security. The obtained results are appropriate and consistent.

Finansal derecelendirme kuruluşları sayısal değerlendirme yerine dilsel değerlendirmeyi yaygın olarak kullanırlar. Verilerin çoğunlukla niteleyici olduğu ve uzmanlık bilgisine gereksinim duyulduğu durumlarda Bulanık Set Teorisi bu tür verilerin değerlendirilmesine destek vermektedir. Çalışma kapsamında, emeklilik fonlarının risk ve getiri bilgilerini kullanarak performans değerlendirmesi amacıyla bulanık uzman sistem geliştirilmiş ve rasgele seçilen yirmi yedi Türk emeklilik fonu üzerinde uygulama gerçekleştirilmiştir., Financial rating and ranking firms often use linguistic instead of numerical values. When input data are mostly qualitative and are based on subjective knowledge of experts, the Fuzzy Set Theory provides a solid mathematical model to represent and handle these data. The aim of this study is developing a fuzzy expert model to evaluate the performance of the pension funds by using their risk and return values. The method is used for evaluating the performance of the randomly selected of twenty seven Turkish pension funds. The obtained results proved that the fuzzy expert system is appropriate and consistent for performance evaluation.

High performance computing techniques can be used effectively for solution of the complex scientific problems. Pole balancing problem is a basic benchmark tool of robotic field, which is an important field of Artificial Intelligence research areas. In this study, a solution is developed for pole balancing problem using Artificial Neural Network (ANN) and high performance computation technique. Algorithm, that basis of the Reinforcement Learning method which is used to find the force of pole's balance, is transfered to parallel environment. In Implementation, C is preferred as programming language and Message Passing Interface (MPI) is used for parallel computation technique. Self–Organizing Map (SOM) ANN model's neurons (artificial neural nodes) and their weights are distributed to six processors of a server computer which equipped with each quad core processor (total 24 processors). In this way, performance values are obtained for different number of artificial neural nodes. Success of method based on results is discussed., Karmasık bilimsel problemlerin etkin olarak çözümlenmesinde yüksek basarımlı hesaplama teknikleri kullanılmaktadır. Kutup dengeleme problemi, yapay zeka alanları içerisinde önemli yer tutan robotbilim dalının en temel ölçüm araçlarından biridir. Bu çalısmada kutup dengeleme problemi, Yapay Sinir Agı (YSA) ve yüksek basarımlı hesaplama teknigi kullanılarak çözülmüstür. Kutbu (çubugu) dengede tutmayı saglayan kuvvetin bulunmasında kullanılan destekleyici ögrenme yöntemini temel alan algoritma paralel ortama aktarılmıstır. Gerçeklestirimde C programlama dili ve paralel hesaplama teknigi için Mesaj Geçme Arayüzü kullanılmıstır. Bir YSA modeli olan Öz-örgütlemeli Harita Agı'na ait yapay sinir hücre dügümleri ve agırlıkları her biri dört çekirdekli altı adet (toplamda yirmi dört) islemciye sahip bir sunucu bilgisayardaki islemcilere dagıtılarak, farklı sinir hücre sayıları için performans degerleri elde edilmistir. Yöntemin basarısı sonuçlar üzerinden tartısılmıstır.

In this study, pruned vine particles and wood particles in five various proportions were used as the raw material for three-layer particleboards. Primarily, small size sample panels (56x56x2 cm) were manufactured. The physical (thickness swelling (TS), water absorption (WA)), and mechanical (modulus of rupture (MOR), modulus of elasticity (MOE), internal bond (IB)) screw holding (SH) properties of particleboards were determined. Although direct measurement is the most reliable method, it is very complex and time consuming. Also every proportion is not applicable. So that, soft computing methods which are the powerful tools for input-output mapping were preferred. Artificial neural networks (ANNs) were used to estimation. The results show that ANN system capable to predict properties of particleboards in a time and cost effective way., Bu çalışmada, yonga levha hammaddesi olarak beş farklı oranda, bağ budama yongaları ve odun yongaları kullanılmıştır. Öncelikle küçük boyutlu numune paneller üç katmanlı olarak (56x56x2 cm) üretilmiştir. Bu levhaların; fiziksel (kalınlığına şişme, su alma) ve mekaniksel (eğilme direnci, elastikiyet modülü, iç yapışma ve vida tutma) özellikleri belirlenmiştir. Direk ölçüm alma metodu en güvenilir metot olmasına rağmen çok karmaşık ve zaman alıcıdır. Üstelik her oran uygulanabilir değildir. Bu nedenle girdi-çıktı haritalamada en güçlü araçlar olan esnek (yazılımsal) hesaplama yöntemleri tercih edilmiştir. Bu aşamada, yapay sinir ağları (YSA) tahmin amaçlı kullanıldı. Sonuçlar yapay sinir ağları sisteminin zamandan ve maliyetten kazanç sağlayarak yonga levhaların özelliklerinin belirlenmesinde yetkin olduğunu göstermektedir

İşletmeler için insan kaynakları yönetiminde performans değerlendirmesi, problemin belirsiz ve yetersiz bilgiyle oluşturulması yüzünden karmaşık ve zaman alıcı bir işlemdir. Bu zorlukları ortadan kaldırmak için yapay sinir ağları, uzman sistemler, bulanık mantık ve genetik algoritmalar gibi yapay zekâ teknikleri kullanılabilir. Bu çalışmada; bir işletmede çalışanların yıllık performanslarının değerlendirilmesi için bir bulanık uzman sistem geliştirilmiş ve uygulanmıştır. Elde edilen sonuçlar, bulanık uzman sistem ile performans değerlendirmenin tutarlı ve sağlıklı olduğunu göstermiştir, Evaluation performance in human resource management is complicated and time-consuming task for companies because of problem is formed with ambiguous and insufficient information. Artificial intelligence techniques like artificial neural networks, expert systems, fuzzy logic and genetic algorithms can be used to overcome these issues. In this work, a fuzzy expert system has been developed and applied for evaluating annual performance of employees in a company.
