He prevalence of information anxiety in the context of the digital society is not limited to a specific sector but affects the population as a whole (Bawden and Robinson, 2009). However, it is imperative to direct our attention to a particularly susceptible group to experience this phenomenon: university students. This assertion is based on previous research indicating that this demographic group may be especially vulnerable to experiencing this type of anxiety (Eklof, 2013 and Costa, 2022). This vulnerability is rooted in the academic demands that university students face, which are compounded by family and social responsibilities that also fall upon them. This convergence of factors unfolds in an increasingly complex information environment. In this context, university students are subjected to significant pressure that can considerably elevate anxiety levels. As a result of this interaction, a diversified impact is observed, ranging from academic performance to the physical, emotional, and psychological well-being of students.
