Mit Einfuhrung des Fibrinklebesystems Tissucol der Firma Immuno in die ehemalige DDR ist uns endlich ein biologisch wirksamer vollstandig resorbierbarer Kleber in die Hand gegeben worden, der die letzte Phase der Blutgerinnung imitiert und dadurch zusatzlich einen ausgezeichneten hamostyptischen Effekt besitzt. Seit 1983 steht er uns in der Medizinischen Akademie Magdeburg, wenn auch in begrenztem Umfang, zur Verfugung und hat das Gelatine-Resorzin-Formaldehyd-Gemisch zur Behandlung von Extraktionswunden bei Patienten mit hamorrhagischen Diathesen unmittelbar und vollstandig abgelost.

Haemorrhages may occur as complications after tooth extractions or other oral surgical procedures. Therapeutical difficulties will happen especially in patients with haemorrhagic diathesis of unknown aetiology. A survey of rare congenital and acquired forms of disturbance of clot formation is given in tabular form. The local particularities of the course of intra-oral blood clotting are pointed to. On the basis of six years of clinical experience, a drug combination for local application is recommended for the prevention of postoperative bleeding.

Reflections on the nomenclature, aetiology and genesis are followed by seven case reports. Apart from the description of a new aspect of genesis and apart from therapeutical discussions of the single case, the authors draw some conclusions. The infraposition of deciduous molars requires orthodontic therapy, whereas that of permanent molars necessitates treatment at a special clinic. Suggestions for desirable further studies mark the end of the paper.

A short survey of the problems encountered in the treatment of recurrent luxations of the temporomandibular joint is followed by the description of the method of osteoplastic interlocking according to Rehrmann. In accordance with favourable reports in the literature, the authors' experience also permits to recommend this method.
