Tourism is a big source of revenue for a country. Political Stability and good governance promote tourism growth of a country by providing a favorable environment for tourism. Present study is empirical evidence of Pakistan and Bangladesh to investigate the role of political stability and governance in tourism growth. Furthermore, along with the principal variable, the study also estimates the role of corruption in tourism growth. Panel times series data, from the year 1996 to 2021, was used for analysis of results. GMM estimation methodology has been employed which show that political stability and governance increase tourism growth in Pakistan and Bangladesh. The finding also shows that variables including in analysis are control of corruption, political economy is also a determinant of tourism. So, finding indicates that political economy along with significant economic growth is desirable for promoting tourism in Pakistan and Bangladesh. They study concludes that in order to promote tourism in Pakistan and Bangladesh. political stability, good governance, role of law, and regulatory quality are significant.

Earning quality of organization depends upon the audit quality and could be achieved using auditors’ expertise and firm size and this aspect demands the emphasis of new researchers. Hence, the current article investigates the effects of auditors’ independence, audit firm size and auditors’ financial expertise on earning quality of the manufacturing industry in Malaysia. The article also explores the mediating role of audit quality among auditors’ independence, audit firm size, auditors’ financial expertise and earning quality of the manufacturing industry in Malaysia. The study gets the data from the audit department of Malaysian manufacturing companies. The article checks the nexus among variables using smart-PLS. The outcomes revealed that the auditors’ independence, audit firm size and auditors’ financial expertise have a positive association with earning quality. The outcomes also exposed that audit quality significantly mediates among auditors’ independence, audit firm size, auditors’ financial expertise and earning quality of the manufacturing industry in Malaysia. The regulators could get the guidelines to achieve high quality earnings and audits using auditors’ independence and financial expertise.

The Increasing trend of globalization and stock volatility attracts academic researchers to investigate the causes. As the economic globalization has radically increased, there is a need to know more about corporate governance. The shareholder's pattern of firms gives an understanding of corporate control and good governance. These aspects provide the researcher with an explanation of how shareholder behavior may influence the market volatility and valuation. To analyze the impact of the firm’s ownership structure on market performance of firm, the ownership structure is decomposed by the percentage of equity. Whereas market to book ratio and stock volatility for market performance. We use the sample of 192 companies, from the period of 2006 to 2018. The study used different suitable statistical technique such as “correlation, multiple regression analysis”. The statistical analysis indicates that foreign ownership significantly reduces the stock volatility and enhances the firm’s stock valuation compared to its book value. Director ownership is a cause of rising stock volatility and it could not play a significant role in enhancing firm’s stock valuation. This research will also provide the critical recommendation for academics and for economic growth.

This article aims to provide deep insight towards the basic understanding of intellectual capital disclosure specifically from the perspective of human capital disclosure. This study reviews the article and primarily focuses on a systematic review of past studies on human capital disclosure. There is a perception among potential investors that intellectual capital information shared by corporate companies is diverse in characteristics. In many developing economies, the government heavily influences corporate culture companies to abide by accounting and corporate practices in the modern world. However, from the investor perspective, the intellectual capital information tends to be net investee; therefore, their emphasis is mostly on corporate information supply. This article summarizes corporate information disclosure and provides the connection between the social, corporate and accounting practices in developing economies.

Pakistani TV dramas package and glorify misogynistic behavior as gestures of romance. It systematically portrays man-handling, eve-teasing, stalking, assault as normalized behaviors necessary to control women. Stereotypical tropes are reinforced regarding both genders, sustaining the status quo between them. Such content when aired on national television distorts the notion of consent, self-expression, freedom, and right to dignity in the minds of the audience. This research aims to explore how Pakistani TV dramas have portrayed violence against women under the guise of romantic myths over the past fifteen years and how this narrative when displayed to the audience contributes to the normalcy of abuse against women. The study aspires to provide insights that can benefit women in Karachi to understand how various storylines incorporated in dramas glorify violence under the pretext of romance, honor, and tradition. The research consists of both qualitative and quantitative analysis, in which 250 women were included in the survey and seven industry experts were interviewed.

This research study aims to explore the impact of political skills on perceived employability, focusing on the mediating effect of career self-efficacy among faculty of higher education institutes in Pakistan. By examining the employability issues faced by faculty in Pakistan’s higher education institutes, this study shed light on the challenges and opportunities for professional development in this domain. The survey was conducted using an administered questionnaire. A sample of N= 340 was selected through convenience sampling technique, ensuring representation from various higher education institutes of Pakistan. Data was collected from respondents through online Google forms. The questionnaires determine three variables: perceived employability, career self-efficacy, and political skills. The results indicated that career self-efficacy has a mediating role between political skills and perceived employability. Regression analysis also confirmed that political skills are positively correlated with perceived employability. Faculty members in higher education institutions should prioritize Self-managed career behaviors, such as developing career goals and implementing career tactics, as a means of enhancing their employability. In addition, management should launch formal and informal training programs for employees to strengthen feeling of success and career development. Providing employees with sufficient support and resources can help them improve their career self-efficacy and ensure their future employability.

Intent of this is to explore the empirical impact of fake news sharing, self-regulation and cyberbullying while depression been playing a role of the mediator on the fatigue of social media in the pandemic, COVID- 19. In order to bridge the gap in the current study, a conceptual framework has been utilized to find out the impact of fatigue of social media on depression. SMART PLS software has been used in this study to investigate the influence of the fake news, self-regulation and cyberbullying on the social media with variable depression as a mediator. Model has been tested on the sample size of 132. Also, research design of the current study is cross sectional. the foundation of this study is based on the (CLT) cognitive load theory which gave insight on effects of social media on the minds of the individuals. A report claimed that Facebook has broke its own records of usage during the pandemic. The existing study has also explored every possible mechanism of fake news countering that is being created by the Facebook pages of the real and actual newscast. However, it also uses the advertisement for disseminating the real, actual or correct information. This research will also be developing the great and more understanding among the effect of SMA, self-regulation, and cyberbullying with the impact of depression as a mediator on the fatigue of social media in pandemic times. For Karachi respondents, a close ended questionnaire has been designed in order to test the research models. Respondents were social media’s adolescent users in Karachi, Pakistan. Untruth news sharing, cyberbullying, and self- regulation has indirectly projected the social media fatigue in the presence of depression as a mediator. Moreover, due to the current study limitations, it is suggested to conduct more studies in the future on the same variables in different regions.

In the present environment, organizations are introducing the concept of sustainability through green supply chain practices. The reason is that green supply chain practices are viewed as the provenance of sustainable performance and ensure the CSR motives of the firm which they tend to share with internal and external stakeholders. However, the successful implementation of green practices requires organizational commitment and organizational citizenship behavior. Thereby, the study introduces a holistic framework that not only aims to scrutinize the relationship between CSR motives and sustainable performance but also highlights the essential role of green supply chain practices and organizational citizenship behavior as a mediator. Moreover, the study also introduces the moderating role of organizational commitment on the relationship between green supply chain and sustainable performance. Data, in this regard, was collected from manufacturing employees of Pakistan and PLS methodology was used to assess measurement and structural model. Empirical findings reveal that CSR motives have no significant impact on sustainable performance, while in the presence of a green supply chain as a mediator, the relationship becomes significant. Interestingly, results reveal that OCB does not mediate the relationship between green supply chain practices and sustainable performance, however, organizational commitment as a potential moderator strengthens the relationship of GSCP with sustainable performance. Contradictory findings open new avenues for researchers and also provide an empirical baseline to shape organizational policies in order to achieve sustainable performance.

Employee job performance is a critical topic of interest and concern for the organization. In order to evaluate the factors that may impact employee job performance in the context of COVID-19 pandemic, this study aims to explore the impact of absorptive capacity for e-Learning on the job performance of teaching faculty. Additionally, the study explored how organizational culture may act as a mediator. The COVID-19 pandemic calls for a transformation in the educational system from the physical to the virtual, which requires teaching faculty to increase their E-learning proficiency. It was necessary to assess each faculty member's effort in this situation. An analytical cross-sectional study design was used to collect data from the teaching faculty of higher education institutions in Karachi, Pakistan. The sample size was 377. Data was collected through reliable and valid self-administered tools. SPSS 23.0 and the PROCESS macro were used to conduct data analysis. Empirical findings from the study demonstrate the significant positive effect of knowledge recognition, assimilation, transformation, and exploitation on job performance. Furthermore, organizational culture significantly mediates the effect of knowledge recognition, assimilation, transformation, and exploitation on job performance. The findings have important implications for managers and policymakers besides employees in creating opportunities for their employees to develop high absorptive capacity and recommend managers to create an appreciative climate within their organizations, which may influence job performance.

Corporate reporting has been considered a formal and widespread source of information within organizations. According to standards and accounting rules, financial accounting provides a representation of the financial situation of companies. This representation is communicated through financial statements at the end of each accounting period and under the legal requirements and tax regulations. Thus, corporate reporting has been limited to preparing financial statements for legal purposes and producing historical accounting and financial information. This study is a meta-analysis of prior literature to understand the concept of corporate reporting and identify the key domains that are still not explored by the researchers.

It is crucial to develop an understanding of the factors of customer purchase intention. It is also imperative to study these factors in the context of online purchasing. Therefore, the present study developed a theoretical model and test by exploring the attributes of website experience such as information quality, security and service, and website credibility and its effect on online purchase intention in the presence of perceived risk as a moderator. The study opted quantitative method through survey application. PLS methodology was adopted to evaluate the measurement and structural model. The study adds knowledge to the literature through the support of empirical shreds of evidence in the context of Pakistan’s retail sector. The indication of findings points out the meaningful association among constructs that maximize the profitability of the online retail service sector if addressed carefully and may also create greater competition for online retailers. The manufacturing sector is the third main sector of Pakistan after agriculture and service sectors. It has played a dynamic role in the economy of Pakistan. However, due to the effects of global competition that resulted in rapid technological changes, and changing customer demands for an improved level of quality, this vital sector of Pakistan is facing intense rivalry. This study aims to study the effect of Psychological empowerment on employee creativity and employee engagement with a moderating role of transactional leadership. For this purpose, a new model has been studied based on Social Exchange Theory. A sample size of 270 respondents is selected from the manufacturing sector of Karachi and SmartPLS is used as a tool for data examination. The findings suggest that Psychological empowerment has a positive influence on employee creativity and employee engagement and Employee engagement promotes employee creativity. The results also report that transactional leadership moderates psychological empowerment and employee engagement. Based on the results, this study discusses the managerial implications, theoretical implications and direction for future researchers for the practitioners and researchers.

Acinetobacter baumannii is one of the six ESKAPE pathogens which are a significant “one health” issue. Clinical isolates of A. baumannii exhibit MDR phenotype mostly and infrequently the XDR and PDR phenotype. As a result, these infections have one of the highest mortality rates in hospitals. Alternative therapies are urgently needed.Methods: Various phages were enriched against XDR clinical strain of A. baumannii. A potent phage, QAB 3.4, was further tested against 100 clinical strains. Because of its broad lytic activity, it was further tested for stability, resistance development and as an infection control agent.Results: Phage QAB 3.4 showed broad lytic activity against 100 MDR and XDR clinical isolates representing a wide diversity of infection sites.
