This study is part of the ongoing project “PRIORITY | Prevention to Reduce Incidence Of Sexual Abuse by Reaching Individuals Concerned About Their Risk to Young People” (ISFP-2020-AG-CYBER)”, funded by Funded by the European Union‘s Internal Security Fund – Police. It aims to explore the experiences, opinions, and perceptions of Portuguese, German, and Swedish Criminal Police officers regarding child sexual abuse (CSA). It is also intended to know the barriers and opportunities perceived by the officers regarding the implementation of a prevention program directed to individuals concerned with the risk of involvement with minors (i.e., under 18 years of age). Participants will be enrolled in a focus group format, where they can talk and discuss the issues with other Criminal Police officers.

Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis Protocol

A busca por fatores que afetem o desempenho escolar dos alunos é tema de diversos estudos na Economia da Educação. Apesar de haver consenso em pesquisas teóricas sobre a importância do professor em sala de aula, no Brasil, pouco estudos indicaram empiricamente o tamanho deste impacto no desempenho individual e no efeito escola. A partir de um banco de dados inédito representativo a nível nacional, o Estudo Educatel, foi possível reunir características socioeconômicas, de saúde, de vida e condições de trabalho dos professores da educação básica brasileira a dados de proficiência, características da escola e do aluno advindos do Sistema de Avaliação da Educação Básica (Saeb). Entendendo o absenteísmo docente, ou seja, a ausência do professor em sala de aula como um indicador de saúde e condições de trabalho foi possível investigar quais fatores estão relacionados ao afastamento dos docentes considerando os diferentes motivos de falta. Os resultados do primeiro ensaio, a partir de um modelo logit, indicam a necessidade de políticas focalizadas na melhoria das condições de trabalho e de saúde dos professores sendo estes os principais fatores que afetam a chance de ausência, políticas de assistência à saúde ao professor, menores jornadas de trabalho (evitando sobrecarga) e melhoria do ambiente de trabalho podem gerar ganhos para as escolas, reduzindo custos de contratação de temporários e realocação de professores além de garantirem os transbordamentos gerados pela continuidade do projeto pedagógico. Os resultados indicaram que fatores contextuais afetam mais o absenteísmo do que condições individuais o ratificando como um indicador de saúde e condições de trabalho. O segundo ensaio possui como objetivo identificar o impacto da ausência do professor em sala de aula sobre os ganhos individuais dos alunos do 5º e 9º anos da rede pública de educação básica, os resultados obtidos a partir de um modelo de mínimos quadrados em dois estágios indicou que professores efetivos possuem impacto significativo em ambas as disciplinas e, principalmente, com maiores magnitudes para 9º ano em matemática. Por fim, o terceiro ensaio contribui para a literatura do efeito escola a partir da investigação do efeito escola considerando o professor em sala de aula dentro da perspectiva coletiva, ou seja, a nível turma. Os resultados obtidos por meio de um estudo multinível (aluno e turma) para o 5º e 9º ano dos alunos da rede pública de educação básica indicaram a importância da presença do professor e do acompanhamento do professor em sala de aula, corroborando com a premissa do impacto coletivo da presença do professor em sala de aula. Os três ensaios constroem a perspectiva da importância da presença do professor em sala de aula e as políticas públicas que podem ser adotadas garantindo melhoria de qualidade de vida, saúde e condições de trabalho para os profissionais e melhores resultados em proficiência como consequência destas ações individual e coletivamente. The search for factors that affect students achievement is the subject of several studies in the Economics of Education. Although there is a consensus in theoretical research about the importance of the teacher in the classroom, in Brazil, few studies have empirically indicated the size of this impact on individual performance and on the school effect. From an unprecedented nationally representative database, Educatel, it was possible to gather socioeconomic, health, living and working conditions characteristics of Brazilian basic education teachers with data on proficiency, school and student characteristics of the Sistema de Avaliação da Educação Básica. Understanding teacher absenteeism, that is, the absence of the teacher in the classroom as an indicator of health and working conditions, it was possible to investigate which factors are related to the absence of teachers considering the different reasons for absence. The results of the first essay indicate the need for policies focused on improving the working and health conditions of teachers, these being the main factors affecting the chance of absence, teacher health care policies, shorter working hours (avoiding overload) and improvement of the work environment can generate gains for schools, reducing the costs of hiring temporary workers and relocating teachers, in addition to guaranteeing the spillovers generated by the continuity of the pedagogical project. As the results of the second and third essays indicate the absence of the teacher in the classroom has negative impacts on individual and collective results of students. The results indicated that contextual factors affect absenteeism more than individual conditions, confirming it as an indicator of health and working conditions. The second essay aims to identify the impact of the teacher's absence in the classroom on the individual gains of students in the 5th and 9th grades of the public basic education system, the results obtained from a two-stage least squares model indicated that tenured teachers have a significant impact on both subjects and, mainly, with greater magnitudes for the 9th grade in Mathematics. Finally, the third essay contributes to the literature on the school effect based on the investigation of the school effect considering the teacher in the classroom from a collective perspective, that is, at the class level. The results obtained through a multilevel study (student and class) for the 5th and 9th grade of students in the public primary education network indicated the importance of the presence of the teacher and the monitoring of the teacher in the classroom, corroborating the premise of collective impact of the teacher's presence in the classroom. The three essays build the perspective of the importance of the presence of the teacher in the classroom and the public policies that can be adopted ensuring improved quality of life, health and working conditions for professionals and better results in proficiency as a consequence of these individual and collectively.

Relatório de Estágio do Mestrado em Análises Clínicas apresentado à Faculdade de Farmácia Resumo O presente relatório tem como objetivo a descrição da aprendizagem teórica e prática relativa ao estágio no âmbito do Mestrado em Análises Clínicas da Faculdade de Farmácia da Universidade de Coimbra. Além de abordar a dinâmica laboratorial, de dois laboratórios (privado e público), referindo os equipamentos, as metodologias e os parâmetros mais frequentemente determinados, assim como as amostras correspondentes, este relatório também descreve o local de estágio. Paralelamente à descrição dos parâmetros clínicos, são apresentadas situações de casos clínicos, enfatizando a importância das análises clínicas como diagnóstico complementar. Ao longo do relatório são abordadas, de uma forma genérica, todas as áreas em que trabalhei, com uma descrição mais detalhada das áreas de Bioquímica e Hematologia.O estágio curricular desenvolveu-se em dois laboratórios, privado e público, em períodos distintos e por sua vez, o presente relatório encontra-se dividido em duas partes. A 1ª parte conta com uma a descrição do período de estágio realizado no Coimbralab, onde foi possível obter uma experiência bastante dinâmica, pois neste período foi possível observar todas as valências, das quais é descrita a bioquímica de forma detalhada. A 2ª parte é referente ao período de estágio no Instituto Português de Oncologia de Coimbra FG, em que observei uma abordagem multidisciplinar, que se dedica principalmente ao diagnóstico e tratamento da doença oncológica. Nesta parte é descrita a valência de hematologia detalhadamente, mas também a microbiologia e a imunologia de forma genérica. ABSTRACT This report aims to describe the theoretical and practical learning related to the internship within the scope of the Master's Degree in Clinical Analysis from the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Coimbra. In addition to addressing the laboratory dynamics of two laboratories (private and public), referring to the most frequently determined equipment, methodologies and parameters, as well as the corresponding samples, this report also describes the location of the internship and the quality control of each one of the areas.Parallel to the description of clinical parameters, situations of clinical cases are presented, emphasizing the importance of clinical analyzes as a complementary diagnosis. Throughout the report, all the areas in which I worked are covered, with a more detailed description of the areas of Biochemistry and Hematology.The curricular internship was developed in two laboratories, private and public, in different periods and, in turn, this report is divided into two parts. The first part has a description of the internship period carried out at Coimbralab, where it was possible to obtain a very dynamic experience, since in this period it was possible to observe all the valences, from which biochemistry is described in detail. The 2nd part refers to the internship period at the Portuguese Institute of Oncology of Coimbra FG, in which we observe a multidisciplinary approach, which is mainly dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of oncological disease. In this part, hematology valence is described in detail, but also microbiology and immunology in general.
