The aim of present study was to determine the relationship between Rumination and Worry as mediators between Self-compassion, Depression and Anxiety Symptoms among students of University of Tehran. This study employs a correlational descriptive research design. The statistical society consisted entirely of Tehran University students in 2019-2020. A convenience sampling method was employed to identify 300 students from the University of Tehran. The participants completed the Beck Depression Inventory-II (BDI-II), Spielberger State-Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI), the Pennsylvania State Worry Questionnaire (PSWQ), the Nolen-Hoeksema Rumination Responses Questionnaire (RRS), and the Neff Self-Compassion Questionnaire (SCS). Descriptive and inferential statistical indicators, such as frequency, mean, percentage, standard deviation, correlation coefficient, and path analysis, were employed to analyze the data.
