Recently, the generalizations of soft open sets have become a popular subject. These generalizations define based on the concepts of the soft interior and soft closure. Therefore, the properties related to these concepts play an essential role in propositions concerning the generalizations. To this end, we consider the soft interior and soft closure through the concept of the soft element, and thus we clarify the relationships between a soft topological space and its soft subspace topologies. Afterwards, we mention soft α-open sets, soft α-closed sets, and soft α-T_0 space via soft elements. Finally, we discuss soft α-separation axioms for further research.

The concept of fuzzy parameterized fuzzy soft matrices (fpfs-matrices) is a mathematical tool coming into prominence with its ability to model decision-making problems. Therefore, in the present study, we configure soft decision-making (SDM) methods having been constructed with soft sets, soft matrices, and their fuzzy hybrid versions and introduced between 2013 and 2016 to operate them in fpfs-matrices space faithfully to the original. We then analyse the decision-making performances of the configured methods herein by using five test cases containing totally ordered alternatives. Thus, we determine the methods producing a valid ranking order according to all the test cases and apply the determined methods to a performance-based value assignment (PVA) problem in which the filters are to be ranked in terms of their image denoising performances. Therefore, we compare the performance ranking of the filters by using the methods. Finally, we discuss the need for further research.

Soft sets have been successfully applied to many different fields to cope with uncertainties. Recently, to increase the success of the applications, these sets have been combined with other theories, such as fuzzy sets and intuitionistic fuzzy sets. In this study, we propose the concept of fuzzy parameterized intuitionistic fuzzy soft sets (fpifs-sets). We then apply these sets to a performance-based value assignment (PVA) problem. Finally, we give suggestions for further research.

Studentification which is a kind of gentrification, has similar effects on the city as gentrification. Gentrification means the physical and social metamorphosis which the old inhabitants in the outdated areas of the city have been displaced by new middle class. The difference of studentification from gentrification is that the user definition in the new class is students. The increasing number of students, the increasing need, the urban texture that needs to grow, make inevitable to physical growth in the city to respond to the users.Thesis study area; It is located in the west of Uludağ University in the Nilüfer district of Bursa province. In years of Republic a village of barter, Görükle continued to evolve after the Republic. According to the Higher Education Council 2018-2019 data, Uludağ University, which has 78 thousand 983 students, is multitude in terms of the number of students. Görükle has become more important with its establishment near the Uludağ University Campus, and trade and cultural activities have become widespread. With the increasing housing and accommodation needs in the student city, the real estate market has risen, and the residential and commercial structure of the town has been shaped according to the needs of the new class, and has gradually become a student-dominated city structure. The former inhabitants were displaced in the sociocultural sense, if not physically, and had to leave the region to the students. With the rapidly increasing student population and the economic benefit provided by the students to the former users, students have become more acceptable users. While these users, who benefit from each other, adapt to sharing the city together, while continuing the peasant life in the village's first settled region, the city which grows towards the university develops day by day in order to answer the needs of the students. The aim of this study is to examine the development of Görükle with morphological and space syntax analysis and to reveal the process of acquiring the physical, social and cultural character of the urban environment created by the effect of studentification ve and to give the clues to new urban environmental strategies that may occur in the future. 112

Within the framework of finding new biological control methods to suppress allergic effects of pine processionary moth (PPM), Thaumetopoea wilkinsoni Tams, less toxic and environmentally friendly, entomopathogenic fungi and essential oils are considered to be an alternative to chemical insecticides. The aim of the present study was to investigate the effects of essential plant oils and two isolates of Metarhizium brunneum (V275 and ARSEF4556) on PPM larvae and pupae under field and controlled laboratory conditions. PPM larvae inside the nest and late instar larvae preparing to pupate were highly susceptible to both strains of M. brunneum, which caused 100% mortality in the laboratory and 45–100% mortality in field trials. The insecticidal effects of essential oils (ginger, eucalyptus and rosemary) on the first, third and fourth instar larvae of PPM were proportional to dosage and life stage of insect. Ginger oil diluted in water was toxic to first instar larvae even at a dose as low as 1% and 3% (v/v). Field trials showed that injection of essential oils into nests of third instar larvae caused significant mortality (87.4%) but <5% mortality of fourth instar larvae. Surface application of all essential oils at a concentration of 5% killed half of the larvae in one day, while 1% concentration caused from 0% to 20% mortality. Only 1% ginger caused 63% mortality at the end of the trial. This study shows that ginger oil and M. brunneum strains ARSEF 4556 and V275 show promise for the control of PPM larvae under field conditions. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The pine processionary moth (Thaumetopoea wilkinsoni and T. pityocampa) is one of the most important forest pest in Turkey. Besides the damage they cause to the pine trees allergic effect due to burning of hairs found on the body cause damage on human and many animals. This is harmful to continuous and unconscious use of chemical pesticides as a result of noteworthy growing negativity in the environment and human health. Therefore, alternative control methods against insect pests has gained importance in research. Many studies have been conducted to control insect pests with entomopathogenic fungi and essential oils as an effective and safe methods. In this study; effect of three essential oils (ginger, rosemary and eucalyptus) and two isolates of Metarhizium brunneum (V275 and 4556) on the pine processionary moth were studied. Three different concentrations (% 3, % 1 and % 0.1) of essential oils were applied to leaves by the dipping method and behavior, feeding, and mortality of larva were investigated. 1% concentration of non-phytotoxic ginger was found to be very effective on 1st instar larvae. Also in the laboratory conditions, this concentration of ginger had larvicidal effect inside the nests containing 3rd instar larvae. In the field conditions, all essential oils were found to be very effective. Pathogenicity of 1x107 konidi/ml-1 concentration of Metarhizium brunneum isolates were investigated on the eggs, 1st instar larvae and nests containing 3rd instar larvae. Entomopathogenic fungus spores on the egg batches prevented to eggs hatching and also contaminated to newly hatching 1st instar larvae. In the field and laboratory conditions, the 3rd instar larvae inside the nests were very susceptible to M. brunneum isolates and 100% fungal infection was observed. In this study, entomopathogenic fungi and essential oils were determined to be very effective on pine processionary moth larvae. This study needs to be supported by extensive field researches. 49

The concept of soft sets was firstly introduced by Molotdsov (1999) as a mathematical tool for dealing with some kinds of uncertainty. In this thesis, firstly the operations and some properties of soft sets redefined by Çağman et al. (2010a) are given. Afterwards, the concept of soft topology on a soft set by using the subsets of it defined by Çağman et al. (2011) is developed. Furthermore, the definitions of soft T_i spaces, soft regular space and soft normal space (Nazmul and Samanta, 2014) defined by means of the concept of soft element are given and basic properties of them are investigated. Finally, concepts of soft topology propounded by Çağman et al. (2011) and Shabir and Naz (2011) are discussed later on works. 56

- Abstract
Background: Modafinil is a well-tolerated psychostimulant drug with low addictive potential that is used to treat patients with narcolepsy and other excessive sleepiness. Whereas favorable effects of modafinil on cognitive functions have been shown in a large number of studies, there are very few reports presenting the effects of modafinil electrophysiologically. The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of modafinil on auditory P300 latency and amplitude electrophysiologically., Material and Methods: Eighteen patients (age range: 16-48 years) with a diagnosis of idiopathic hypersomnia (IH) were included in the present study. As a standard treatment, 200 mg/day modafinil was administered to each patient. The P300 auditory test was performed for each patient before and at the end of 1 week of modafinil treatment., Results: After 1 week of modafinil treatment, mean P300 latencies (at all electrode sites) were significantly lower than the latencies before the treatment (P values for Fz, Cz and Pz recording sites were 0.039, 0.002, and 0.004, respectively). An increase in the P300 amplitudes was detected only at the Fz recording site, but not at Cz or Pz recording sites (P values for Fz, Cz, and Pz recording sites were 0.014, 0.100, and 0.05, respectively)., Conclusions: One week of modafinil treatment improved the cognitive performance, alertness, and executive functions in IH patients. Our electrophysiologically obtained findings provide further confirmation for previous reports in which modafinil has been shown to exert favorable effects on cognitive performance, alertness, and executive functions.
