Sağdan sansürlü veri, başta klinik deneyler ve sağlık alanı olmak üzere biyoloji, endüstri, ekonomi, genetik ve bu alanlarla ilişkili birçok alanda karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Bu veri türünün en önemli karakteristik özelliği, ilgilenilen kişi veya nesne ile ilgili tamamlanmamış gözlemeler içermesidir. Modelleme çalışmalarında, tamamlanmamış gözlemler yanlı ve tutarsız sonuçlara neden olduğundan, bu sorunun çözülmesi için çeşitli yöntemler geliştirilmiştir. Bu çalışmada, literatürde var olan ve sağdan sansürlü verilerin modelleme sürecine dâhil olabilmesi için kullanılan birçok farklı yöntem incelenmiştir. Bu yöntemlerden bazıları; Kaplan-Meier ağırlıkları, Gaussian ve kNN yerine koyma yöntemi, Sentetik veri dönüşümleri olarak sıralanbilir. Genellikle, sağdan sansürlü veri noktaları bilinmediğinden veya kısmi olarak bilindiğinden, bu gözlemlere ait dağılımlar hakkında bazı varsayımlar kabul edilerek klasik istatistiksel analiz ve modelleme yöntemleri kullanılabilmektedir. Buna ek olarak, dağılım varsayımlarına dayanmayan bazı parametrik olmayan yöntemler kullanılarak da bu gözlemler tahmin edilebilmektedir. Bu iki ana başlık dışında, çok tercih edilmese de sansürlü veri noktalarının veri setinden atılması da mevcut yöntemlerden biri olarak söylenebilir. Bu çalışmada, önerilmiş en basit yöntemlerden en gelişmiş yöntemlere kadar, sağdan sansürlü verilerin regresyon analizine dâhil edilmesi için önerilen çözüm yöntemleri aşamalar halinde sunulmuştur ve bu yöntemlerin sansürün etkisini ne kadar yansıtabildiği anlatılmaya çalışılmıştır. Bu çalışmanın temel amacı, verilerin regresyon modeline eklenmesinden önce, verinin içerdiği sansür durumu için gerekli düzenlemelerin yapılmasını sağlayan yöntemlerin incelenmesidir. Elbette var olan bütün yöntemlerin incelenmesi mümkün olmadığından, literatürde en sık kullanılan yöntemler seçilmiştir. Right-censored data is encountered in many areas related to biology, industry, economics, genetics and related fields, primarily clinical trials and health field. The most important characteristic of this data type is that it contains incomplete observations of the person or object of interest. In modeling studies, as incomplete observations result in biased and inconsistent results, several methods have been developed to solve this problem. In this study, many different methods which are used in the literature to be included in the modeling process of right and censored data are examined. Some of these methods can be ordered as follows: Kaplan-Meier weights, Gaussian and kNN imputation methods and synthetic data transformations. Generally, since the censored data points are unknown or can be partially known, classical statistical analysis and modeling methods can be used by assuming some assumptions about the distributions of these observations. In addition, these observations can be estimated using some nonparametric methods which are not based on distribution assumptions. Apart from these two main headings, it is possible to say that the censored data points are removed from the data set even if they are not preferred. In this study, the proposed solution methods for inclusion of right-censored data into regression analysis are presented in stages, from the simplest methods to the most advanced methods, and it is tried to explain how these methods can reflect the effect of censorship. The main purpose of this study is to examine the methods that allow the necessary arrangements for the censorship of the data before the data is added to the regression model. Of course, it is not possible to examine all the existing methods, the most commonly used methods are selected in the literature.

Günümüz gelişmekte olan ülkeleri ihracatta yaşanan artışın ekonomik büyümeyle doğru orantılı olacağı ve ekonomik büyümede ihracat artışının önemli rol oynayacağı düşüncesinde birleşerek, içe dönük ve kapalı ekonomi politikalarını terk edip dışa dönük ticaret politikaları üretmeye çalışmışlardır. Türkiye de bu konjonktüre ayak uydurarak ithal ikameci politikayı değiştirmiş, 1980 yılından itibaren ekonomik büyümenin motorunu ihracatta görmüş ve ihracatı geliştirip sürdürülebilir hale getirmek için teşvik politikaları geliştirmeyi benimsemiştir. 1980’li yıllarda ihracat teşvikleri genelde parasal teşvikler üzerine planlanırken 1990’lı yılların ortalarında Dünya Ticaret Örgütü (DTÖ) Anlaşması’na taraf olunması ve Gümrük Birliği’ne (GB) dahil olunması, dolayısıyla da anlaşma ve entegrasyon modeli şartlarına uygun hareket etme zorunluluğu nedeniyle doğrudan parasal teşvikler uygulanabilirliğini kaybetmiştir. Bu sebeple Türkiye, ihracatı geliştirmek için yeni programlar üretmeye başlamıştır. Bu programlardan birisi de sektörlerin asıl ihtiyacı olan kaliteli ve ucuz girdiyi temin etmeye yönelik oluşturulan Dahilde İşleme Rejimi (DİR) olmuştur. DİR’in Türkiye Ekonomisi ve Dış Ticareti üzerindeki etkilerinin analizine yönelik yapılan bu çalışmada, öncelikle ihracat ve teşvik kavramlarına değinilmeye çalışılarak ihracat teşvikleri ile ilgili genel bilgiler verilecektir. Türkiye'de uygulanan ve uygulanmaya devam eden ihracat teşvik tedbirleri açıklanacaktır. Ayrıca, Dahilde İşleme Rejimi uygulaması detaylı bir şekilde açıklanmaya ve rejimin işleyişi anlatılmaya çalışılacaktır. Diğer taraftan çalışmanın asıl hedefi olan rejimin Türkiye Ekonomisi’ne ve Dış Ticareti üzerine etkileri çeşitli istatistiki veriler, grafikler, şekiller yardımıyla analiz edilmeye çalışılacaktır. Çalışmanın sonuç ve öneriler bölümünde ise rejimin Türkiye Dış Ticareti’ne ve dolayısıyla da Türkiye Ekonomisi’ne pozitif etkilerinin maksimum seviyeye çıkarılabilmesi için rejimin amacına uygun işlemesine yönelik öneriler aktarılmaya çalışılacaktır. Today’s developing countries have tried to produce outward-looking trade policies by abandoning their domestic and closed economic policies, believing that the increase in exports will be directly proportional to economic growth and that the increase in exports will play an important role in economic growth. Turkey also has kept up with this conjuncture, and changed its import substitution policy. Since the 1980s Turkey viewed exports as the engine of economic growth, and started to develop incentive policies to promote export and to make this sustainable. In the 1980s, the export incentives were generally planned on monetary incentives; however, by the mid-1990s Turkey became a party to the World Trade Organization (WTO) Agreement and it joined the Customs Union (CU), and it was obliged to act in accordance with the terms of the agreement and the integration model, and therefore the direct incentives have lost their applicability. For this reason, Turkey has started to produce new programs to promote exports. One of these programs has been the Inward Processing Regime (IPR), which is aimed at ensuring the supply of quality a low-priced input which is the principal requirement of the industries. In this study, which is conducted with the aim of analyzing the impacts of the Inward Processing Regime on Turkey’s Economy and Foreign Trade, we shall first try to address the concepts of export and incentive, and provide general information about the export incentives. We shall describe the export promotion measures that were implemented in Turkey in the past, and the ongoing measures. In addition, we shall try to explain in detail the practice and mechanism of the Inward Processing Regime. On the other hand, by utilizing various statistical data, graphs and figures, we shall try to analyze the regime’s impact on Turkey’s Economy and Foreign Trade, which is the main purpose of the study. In the study’s conclusion and recommendations section, we shall try to convey recommendations aimed at making the regime run in accordance with its purpose, in order to maximize the regime’s positive impacts on Turkey’s Foreign Trade and therefore on Turkey’s Economy.

TEM Journal; Vol 5, No 4, 2016. ISSN 2217-8309, This paper introduces the operating of the selection criteria for right-censored nonparametric regression using smoothing spline. In order to transform the response variable into a variable that contains the right-censorship, we used the KaplanMeier weights proposed by [1], and [2]. The major problem in smoothing spline method is to determine a smoothing parameter to obtain nonparametric estimates of the regression function. In this study, the mentioned parameter is chosen based on censored data by means of the criteria such as improved Akaike information criterion (AICc), Bayesian (or Schwarz) information criterion (BIC) and generalized crossvalidation (GCV). For this purpose, a Monte-Carlo simulation study is carried out to illustrate which selection criterion gives the best estimation for censored data.

Amaç: Bu çalışmada, önceden tanımlı iki veya daha fazla grubun üyelerini tahmin etmek ve sınıflandırma fonksiyonlarını geliştirmek için diskriminant analizi (DA), çok terimli lojistik regresyon (MLR) ve regresyon ağacı (CART) olarak adlandırılan üç farklı yöntem ele alınmıştır. Bu çalışmanın temel amacı, DA, MLR ve CART analizi kullanılarak sınıflandırma yapmaktır. Gereç ve Yöntemler: Bu üç yöntem arasında en temel farklardan biri, CART parametrik olmayan bir teknik olmasına karşın, diğer ikisi bazı temel varsayımlara dayanan parametrik yöntemlerdir. Bir diğer önemli fark, DA ve MLR bireysel türler için grup üyeliğinin olasılıklarını üretirken, CART sadece farklı türler için ortalama olasılıkları üretir. Bulgular: Bu yöntemlerin uygulaması, Kuzey-Batı Anadolu, Bozcaada, Gökçeada, Edirne ve Istranca olmak üzere toplam beş farklı bölgeden elde edilen, yedi farklı Apodemus türlerine ait iki ayrı veri seti için sınıflandırma yapılmış ve sonuçlar tablolar halinde sunulmuştur. Sonuç: Çalışmada parametrik olmayan bir yöntem olan karar ağacı algoritmalarıyla parametrik yöntemler olarak bilinen diskriminant ve lojistik regresyonun sınıflama özellikleri karşılaştırılmaktadır. Her iki uygulama sonucunda, en yüksek sınıflandırma oranı çok terimli lojistik regresyon analizi ile elde edilmiştir. Objective: In this paper, three different methods are considered such as discriminate analysis (DA), multinomial logistic regression (MLR) and regression and classification tree (CART) in order to develop classification functions and predict the membership of objects into two or more predefined groups. The main purpose of the study is to make classification using DA, MLR and CART analysis. Material and Methods: . One of the main differences among these three methods is that CART is a nonparametric technique, whereas the other two are the parametric method based on some basic assumptions. Another important difference is that DA and MLR produce the probability of group membership for individual species, whereas CART produces only average probability for different species. In the classification using DA, MLR and CART analysis was conducted and the results are presented in tables. Results: The application of the three techniques is illustrated by comparing seven different Apodemus species obtained from five different regions including Northwest Anatolia, Bozcaada, Gökçeada, Edirne and Istranca. Conclusion: In this study, a non-parametric methods, which decision tree algorithms and known as parametric methods, discriminant and logistic regression classification features are compared. In a result of both applications, the highest classification rate are obtained using logistic regression analysis.

In this study, firstly we will define a right censored data. If we say shortly right-censored data is censoring values that above the exact line. This may be related with scaling device. And then we will use response variable acquainted from right-censored explanatory variables. Then the linear regression model will be estimated. For censored data’s existence, Kaplan-Meier weights will be used for the estimation of the model. With the weights regression model will be consistent and unbiased with that. And also there is a method for the censored data that is a semi parametric regression and this method also give useful results for censored data too. This study also might be useful for the health studies because of the censored data used in medical issues generally.

WOS: 000340085300002, The focus in this paper embraces the hybrid models whose components are nonparametric regression and artificial neural networks. Smoothing spline, regression spline and additive regression models are considered as the nonparametric regression components. Furthermore, various multilayer perceptron algorithms and radial basis function network model are regarded as the artificial neural networks components. The performances of these models are compared by forecasting three real Turkish data sets: Domestic product per capita (GDP), the number of cars produced and the number of tourist arrivals. The results obtained by experimental evaluations show that hybrid models proposed in this paper have performed much better in comparison to hybrid models discussed in literature.

Bu çalışma, Türkiye’de 2003-2009 yılları arasında aylık olarak ortaya çıkan ÜFE ve TÜFE bazlı reel efektif döviz kuru değerleri için parametrik olmayan (nonparametrik) regresyon kestiricilerinin bazı performans ölçülerinin bir değerlendirmesini yapmaktadır. Bu amaçla, splayn düzeltme regresyonu, kernel regresyonu ve yerel ağırlıklı regresyon olarak bilinen üç farklı parametrik olmayan regresyon tekniği ele alınmıştır. Temel amaç parametrik olmayan regresyon modellerinin kestirimi için kullanılan bu teknikleri karşılaştırmaktır. Bu bağlamda, 2003-2008 döneminde gerçekleşen reel efektif döviz kuru değerlerinin söz konusu tekniklerle modellemesi tahmin edilmiştir. Bu modeller kullanılarak 2009 yılı için reel efektif döviz kuru değerleri için kestirimde bulunulmuştur. Yapılan kestirimlere göre söz konusu üç teknik bazı performans ölçüleri bakımından karşılaştırılmış ve splayn düzeltme regresyonunun tahmin konusunda diğerlerinden daha üstün olduğu görülmüştür. This paper presents an evaluation of some performance criteria of the nonparametric regression estimators for Ü FE and TÜ FE based real effective exchange rates that come out as month between 2003-2009 in Turkey. To this end, three different nonparametric regression techniques called as smoothing spline regression, kernel regression, and locally weighted regression are studied. The main goal is to compare these techniques used for prediction of the nonparametric regression models. In this connection, modeling of the real effective exchange rate values occured between 2003-2008 are estimated by means of these techniques. The real effective exchange rate values are predicted by using these models for 2009. According to the obtained predictions, three techniques mentioned here have been compared in terms of some performance measures and it has been shown that smoothing spline regression has priority in prediction when compairs to the others.

In this paper, the sum of squares in linear regression is reduced to sum of squares in semi-parametric regression. We indicated that different sums of squares in the linear regression are similar to various deviance statements in semi-parametric regression. In addition to, coefficient of the determination derived in linear regression model is easily generalized to coefficient of the determination of the semi-parametric regression model. Then, it is made an application in order to support the theory of the linear regression and semi-parametric regression. Yarı parametrik regresyon modelleri için splayn düzeltme metoduna dayalı yeni bir tahmin kavramı Eubank vd. (1998) tarafından tanıtılmıştır. Bu tahmin kavramına göre, splayn düzeltmeyi esas alan farklı iki yaklaşım Schimek (2000) tarafından karşılaştırılmıştır. Bu çalışmada, yarı parametrik regresyon modelinin tahmini Green-Silverman’nın kısmi splayn ve Speckman yaklaşımı olarak adlandırılan farklı iki yaklaşımla yapılmış ve sıradan en küçük kareler tahminleri ile karşılaştırılmıştır. Splayn düzeltmede, genelleştirilmiş çapraz geçerlilik metoduyla düzeltme parametresi seçilmiş ve yarı parametrik modelin hem parametrik hem de parametrik olmayan bileşeni için çıkarsamalar tartışılmıştır. Bu amaçla, MATLAB ortamında yazılan bir program kullanılarak bir uygulama yapılmıştır., A new estimation concept for semiparametric regression models based on smoothing splines has been introduced in Eubank et al. (1998). The two different approaches based on smoothing splines have been compared by Schimek (2000) according to this estimation concept. In this study, the estimation of the semiparametric regression model is performed with two different approaches called partial splines of Green and Silverman and Speckman ’s approach and compared with the estimations of the ordinary least squares. The smoothing parameter is selected via generalized cross-validation in smoothing splines and inferences have been discussed for both the parametric and the nonparametric part of the model. For this purpose an application is performed by using a program coded in MATLAB.

This paper studies smoothing parameter selection problem in nonparametric regression based on smoothing spline method for different data sets. For this aim, a Monte Carlo simulation study was performed. This simulation study provides a comparison of the five popular selection criteria called as cross-validation (CV), generalized cross-validation (GCV), improved Akaike information criterion (AICc), Mallows' Cp and risk estimation using classical pilots (RCP). Empirical performances of five selection criteria were examined for this simulation and the most suitable one was selected accordingly.

It has been considered two alternative situations due to seasonal effects. In the first case, it is discussed a semi-parametric model where parametric component is dummy variable for the seasonality. In the second case, it is considered the seasonal component to be a smooth function of time, and therefore, the model falls within the class of additive models. The results obtained by semi-parametric regression models are compared to those obtained by additive nonparametric and parametric linear models.

Çalışmada Eskişehir merkezde yer alan evlerin kira fiyatları ile evlerin özelikleri arasındaki ilişkilerin incelenmesinde farklı regresyon modelleri ele alınmıştır. Yapılan istatistiksel analizler sonucunda, evlerin kira fiyatları üzerinde etkili olan bağımsız değişkenlerin bir kısmının fiyatları doğrusal, bir kısmının da doğrusal olmayarak etkilediği görülmüştür. Böylece model, parametrik doğrusal bileşenlere ilaveten birkaç nonparametrik bileşeni de bulunduran semiparametrik toplamsal regresyon modeli şeklinde oluşturulmuştur. Elde edilen uygun semiparametrik toplamsal regresyon modelin istatistiksel açıdan anlamlı olduğu, hem parametrik doğrusal hem de semiparametrik modellerden daha iyi sonuçlar verdiği gözlenmiştir., In this paper, different regression models have been discussed for investigation of the relationships among house rents and trait variables in Eskişehir. According to statistical analysis, it is concluded that some of the explanatory variables have had linear and some of them have had nonparametric effect on house rents. Thus, the model has obtained as semiparametric adittive regression model that contain a few nonparametric components in additon to parametric linear components. It is observed that suitable semiparametric adittive regression model is significant, and given better results than parametric linear and semiparmetric models.
