2. Transient Stability Assessment for Current Constrained and Unconstrained Fault Ride-Through in Virtual Oscillator Controlled Converters

Abstract

Unified virtual oscillator controller (uVOC) inherits the rigorous analytical foundation offered by oscillator based grid-forming (GFM) controllers and enables fast over-current limiting and fault ride-through (FRT). Control design for effective FRT requires transient stability analysis. Existing transient stability analysis methods and studies are limited in either considering only current unconstrained scenarios or neglecting the simultaneous power angle and voltage dynamics. Under current-constrained faults, the voltage and power angle dynamics are strongly coupled and both play critical roles in determining transient stability. Therefore, decoupled analysis of the two, typically used in transient stability studies, does not offer comprehensive insight into the system dynamics. In this work, the overall FRT method for uVOC is presented and a comprehensive modeling and analysis method for transient stability is developed under both current-saturated and unsaturated symmetrical AC faults. We utilize phase-plane analysis of the overall system in a single graphical representation to obtain holistic insights into the coupled voltage and power angle dynamics. The FRT controller and the analysis method have been validated through simulations and hardware experiments. The results demonstrate that uVOC is not constrained by a critical clearing angle unlike droop and virtual synchronous machine (VSM) type second order controllers.

3. Unified Virtual Oscillator Control for Grid-Forming and Grid-Following Converters

Abstract

A unified virtual oscillator controller (uVOC) is proposed, which enables a unified analysis, design, and implementation framework for both grid-forming (GFM) and grid-following (GFL) voltage source converters (VSCs). Oscillator based GFM controllers, such as dispatchable virtual oscillator control (dVOC), offer rigorous analytical framework with enhanced synchronization, but lack effective fault handling capability which severely limits practical application. The proposed uVOC facilitates synchronization with an arbitrarily low grid voltage and fast over-current limiting; this enables effective fault ride-through unlike existing GFM controllers which typically switch to a back-up controller during fault. GFM operation with uVOC is achieved in both grid connected and islanded modes with seamless transition between the two. In GFL converters, bidirectional power flow control and DC bus voltage regulation is achieved with uVOC. No phase-locked-loop (PLL) is required for either GFL or GFM operation circumventing the synchronization issues associated with PLLs in weak grid applications. Detail small signal models for GFM and GFL operation have been developed and systematic design guidelines for controller parameters are provided. Abstract

A modular and scalable converter for medium voltage (MV) AC to low voltage (LV) DC power conversion is proposed; single-phase-modules (SPMs), each consisting of an active-front-end (AFE) stage and an isolated DC-DC stage, are connected in input-series-output-parallel (ISOP) configuration to reach desired voltage and power capacity. In prior art, high-speed bidirectional communication among modules and a centralized controller is required to ensure module-level voltage and power balancing, which severely limits the scalability and practical realization of higher voltage and higher power systems. Moreover, large capacitors are used to suppress double-line-frequency voltage variations on the common MV DC bus shared by the AFE and the DC-DC stage originating from AC power pulsations through the SPMs. We propose a comprehensive controller which achieves voltage and power balancing using complete decentralized control of the DC-DC stages based on only local sensor feedback and the AFE stages are controlled using feedback of only the LV DC output. Furthermore, reduced capacitor requirement on the MV DC bus is achieved through design and control. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze brand image in increasing Hilux Car Customer Satisfaction and Loyalty in Merauke Regency. In this study the quantitative method used. This study uses a path analysis model because it has mediating or intermediary variables. From the results of the tests that have been carried out, the results of the first substructure equation explain that there is an influence of brand image on satisfaction of 0.482 and the value of sig 0.000 is smaller than 0.05. Which means that brand image has a big enough influence to make customers feel satisfied. While the second substructure equation has the effect of brand image on customer loyalty of 0.310 and the value of sig 0.001 is smaller than 0.05. And the results of the second substructure equation in the table there is an influence of satisfaction on customer loyalty of 0.502 and the value of sig 0.000 is smaller than 0.05. From the results of the analysis of the direct influence of brand image on customer loyalty of 0.310 while the magnitude of the indirect effect of brand image on customer loyalty through satisfaction is 0.242. It can be seen that the direct effect of brand image on customer loyalty is greater than the indirect effect of brand image on customer loyalty through satisfaction

14. Modeling, Analysis, and Design for Small-Signal Stability in Sequence-Decomposed Grid-Forming Control

Abstract

Fast and accurate detection of symmetrical components is critical for ride-through of asymmetrical faults in grid-forming (GFM) inverter based resources (IBRs). Sequence-decomposed GFM control enables to emulate the behavior of a synchronous machine by an IBR in both positive- and negative-sequences, where current references are generated separately in each sequence from the extracted symmetrical components of the terminal voltage. Cross-coupled dynamics between the stationary frame components attributed by the symmetrical component extraction (SCE) complicates the analysis and design process and appropriate modeling and analysis method for sequence-decomposed GFM control structures is yet to be reported. In this work, a small-signal model is developed for the analysis and design of such control implementations. It is demonstrated that by virtue of its overall structure, sequence-decomposed GFM control enables simplified analysis eliminating the cross-coupled dynamics characteristic to SCE. Subsequently, comparative analysis is presented between delay based and filter based SCE methods focusing on their impact on small-signal stability. Design guidelines are provided along with supporting experimental evidence using a laboratory inverter prototype. The analysis and experiments demonstrate that delay based sequence component extraction method offers greater stability margins under open-load and loaded GFM operations.

Abstract

Pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) is often treated with endothelin (ET) receptor blockade or phosphodiesterase-5 (PDE5) inhibition. Little is known about the specific effects on right ventricular (RV) function and metabolism. We determined the effects of single and combination treatment with Bosentan [an ET type A ([ET.sub.A])/type B ([ET.sub.B]) receptor blocker] and Sildenafil (a PDE5 inhibitor) on RV function and oxidative metabolism in monocrotaline (MCT)-induced PAH. Fourteen days after MCT injection, male Wistar rats were orally treated for 10 days with Bosentan, Sildenafil, or both. RV catheterization and echocardiography showed that MCT clearly induced PAH. This was evidenced by increased RV systolic pressure, reduced cardiac output, increased pulmonary vascular resistance (PVR), and reduced RV fractional shortening. Quantitative histochemistry showed marked RV hypertrophy and fibrosis. Monotreatment with Bosentan or Sildenafil had no effect on RV systolic pressure or cardiac function, but RV fibrosis was reduced and RV capillarization increased. Combination treatment did not reduce RV systolic pressure, but significantly lowered PVR, and normalized cardiac output, RV fractional shortening, and fibrosis. Only combination treatment increased the mitochondrial capacity of the RV, as reflected by increased succinate dehydrogenase and cytochrome c oxidase activities, associated with an activation of PKG, as indicated by increased VASP phosphorylation. Moreover, significant interactions were found between Bosentan and Sildenafil on PVR, cardiac output, RV contractility, PKG activity, and mitochondrial capacity. These data indicate that the combination of Bosentan and Sildenafil may beneficially contribute to RV adaptation in PAH, not only by reducing PVR but also by acting on the mitochondria in the heart. This research was conducted to see the effect of motivation & perception of the decision to use the Acer brand laptop on students of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Musamus Merauke University. The population in this study was 1116 of the total number of FEB students. The sample in the study was 92 respondents with the sampling method accidental porposife sampling. The technique used is multiple linear regression. From the test results, the t test & F test show that the motivation & perception variables have a positive effect, are significant partially, or simultaneously towards the decision to use the Acer brand laptop on FEB students at Musamus Merauke University.

Abstract

This paper presents a pattern less piezoelectric harvester for ultra low power energy applications. Usually patterned cantilevers are used as vibration energy harvester which results additional fabrication process. Hence, to reduce the process, a four layer cantilever configuration is used to design the harvester with Aluminum, Silicon and Zinc Oxide. The device dimension is settled to 12×10×≈0.5009 mm3 with ≈300 nm deposition thickness for each layer. The modeling and fabrication processes are demonstrated in detail. The induced voltage by the cantilever is obtained through the analytical and practical measurements. From the measurements, it is found that, the maximum induced voltage is 91.2 mV from practical measurement with voltage density of 1.517 mV/mm3. It is evident from the results that, this pattern less model can be useful for next generation vibration energy harvester with simpler technology.

Abstract

Penulisan ini bertujuan untuk menguji dan menganalisis pengaruh digital marketing, e-WOM, brand awareness terhadap keputusan pembelian di kedai kopi Lokale Pontianak. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah 100 pengikut coffee shop Lokale di Instagram. Coffee Shop Lokale merupakan salah satu gerai kopi kalangan muda masa kini yang menawarkan konsep kopi milenial. Dengan seringnya kaum urban menghabiskan waktu dikedai kopi, kedai kopi kini menjadi simbol gaya hidup sehingga pilihan kedai kopi itu sendiri juga berkorelasi dengan status sosial. Model analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis jalur. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pemasaran digital tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap brand awareness, sedangkan e-WOM memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap brand awareness, hal ini menunjukan bahwa pengaruh e-WOM masih sangat efektif dalam penggunaannya didunia pemasaran dibandingkan dengan penggunaan digital marketing sebagai alat promosi di era sekarang.  e-WOM dan brand awareness berpengaruh signifikan pada keputusan pembelian, jika dilihat dari hasil yang di peroleh ketika kedua cara promosi ini digabungkan maka capaian keuntungan yang di peroleh bisa maksimal.
