Abstract

Internet of Things abstracts the ability to remotely associate and observe things or objects over the Internet. When it comes to agriculture, this idea has been incorporated to make agriculture-related tasks smart, secure, and automated. Agriculture is vital for economic growth and also for the survival of humans. Farmers living in rural areas of India face a common problem of the theft of equipment like induction motors from small storage houses meant for storing commodities in crop fields. In this study, we present a remote security management framework for monitoring the crop field storage house, known as the farm security alert system (FSAS). FSAS is a small, energy efficient, low cost, and accurate security management system that uses microcontroller-based passive infrared (PIR) sensor and global system for mobile communication (GSM) module to generate an alert to the farm owner if there is an intrusion event at the crop field store. The microcontroller board utilized in the proposed model is the Arduino Uno, and PIR motion sensor is used to recognize the intruder. In addition, FSAS also can be used for monitoring of induction motor by utilizing a similar arrangement of sensors. The sensor signal is transmitted to the cloud whenever the intruder is within the sensing range of the sensor node. Naive Bayes' prediction model is used to identify the level of encroachment as no (green), mild (yellow), or high (red) threat. The status and the alarms can be received by the farm owners, either on their smartphones as application alerts or as a short message/phone call, at any distance, and independent of whether their cell phones are connected to the Internet. Abstract

In today's Era,various industries are settling up in India and tourism is one of them. Tourism being one of the leading industries in India has set up the benchmark within last few years. Talking about today's scenario, the tourism industry is facing a huge loss because of the deadly humanitarian disease "COVID-19" that came at the end of 2019. It had led to the LOCKDOWN nationwide, leading towards the downfall of the hotel and tourism industry. Global covid-19 pandemic has challenged this sensitive industry with unprecedented circumstances and repercussions. Although, after the second wave, the situation is becoming better day by day, the tourist visits at famous stations have increased rapidly that may be harmful for the country and virus may further spread to the country and there are several reasons for increase in the tourist visit at different parts of the globe. These reasons have been considered as criteria for the study. The main objective of this work is to find out the main reasons why people are getting attracted towards tourism. In this work an AHP approach been proposed to solve the above discussed problem. Total seven criteria's have been taken from expert opinions which have been considered for study. 44. CFD analysis of performance of an air-curtain for a commercial chamber.

Abstract

The present work presents a CFD analysis of an air-curtain to analyze its performance. The supply velocity, supply angle and temperature variation are the important parameters to study the performance of an air-curtain. The supply angle was kept at an angle of 0° and 20° with door height. The supply velocity was considered at 18 m/s and 20 m/s. The temperature of outside environment was taken as 45°C and 50° C, whereas inside temperature was maintained to 24° C. The performance of the air-curtain in terms of infiltration and exfiltration was observed. The infiltration was found reduced by increasing the supply angle from 0° to 20°, but the greater supply angle was not found more efficient to reduce exfiltration. Whereas the infiltration and exfiltration both was found reduced by increasing the supply velocity from 18 m/s to 20 m/s. The reduced infiltration was obtained, when air curtain was working at higher supply angle (20°) and higher supply velocity (20 m/s). The reduced exfiltration was obtained at smaller supply angle (0°) with higher supply velocity (20m/s). The optimum condition was obtained at 20° supply angle and 20 m/s supply velocity. The range of pressure difference across the door to be maintained was found between 20.03 Pa to -5.63 Pa at optimum condition. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract

Isolation of two Zn solubilizing microbes from Zn deficient soils and later identified as Aspergillus sp. and Penicillium sp.) two bacterial strains (B. megaterium and B. subtilis.) procured which were tested for their Zn solubilizing abilities both qualitatively and quantitatively along with their acid production ability. In this study, 6 factors: Zinc oxide, Rock Phosphate, B. subtilis, B. megaterium, Aspergillus sp. and Penicillium sp. strains each with three different levels in soil were used to optimize which method was superior for zinc uptake by plants in a pot culture study of 60 days period. Results showed in significant order of importance: Zinc oxide, Rock Phosphate, B. subtilis, Aspergillus sp., B. megaterium and Penicillium sp. Optimum conditions for each factors were: Zinc oxide (25 kg/ha), Rock phosphate (40 kg/ha), B. subtilis (with 40 kg/ha rock phosphate), B. megaterium (with 40 kg/ha rock phosphate), Aspergillus sp. (with 25 kg/ha zinc oxide) and Penicillium sp. (with 25 kg/ha zinc oxide). Zinc oxide had most contribution to uptake of zinc in plants. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
