The present study aimed to analyze the association between effect of reception and game procedures practiced by the women’s “superliga” champion team in the side-out, as well as the behavior of the opposing central blocker, according to the performance level of the opposing team. The sample was composed of the observation of 21 games of the 2015-2016 Women’s “Superliga” champion team. Data were analyzed using the Chi-square test, SPSS software version 20.0 for Windows and significance of p≤0.05. This study compared the tactical-technical behavior between two distinct situations of reduced volleyball games. The sample consisted of 12 games played by doubles, 6 of which were played in 3.0m x 3.0m (SIT1) and 6 of 2.0m x 4.5m (SIT2) courts. Thus, the behavior of 12 participants, with mean age of 16.7 ± 1.5 years and 3.2 ± 1.2 years of practice, was compared. The results showed that at reception, better results were obtained in adjustment and decision making in SIT2, whereas in SIT1, efficiency was higher; in setting, it was observed that SIT2 presented better results in technical performance, adjustment and efficiency, whereas in SIT1, efficiency was higher; in SIT2, attack, better results were observed in adjustment and decision-making. It was concluded that environmental restrictions influence the behaviors of learners, showing that different ecological contexts provide actions inherent to the specific game environment. Resumo O estudo comparou o comportamento tático-técnico entre duas situações distintas de jogos reduzidos no voleibol. A amostra constituiu-se de 12 jogos disputados por duplas, sendo 6 praticados em quadras de 3,0m x 3,0m (SIT1) e 6 de 2,0m x 4,5m (SIT2). Assim, comparou-se o comportamento de 12 participantes, com idade média de 16,7 ±1,5 anos e com 3,2 ±1,2 anos de prática. Os resultados mostraram que na recepção houve melhores resultados no ajustamento e na tomada de decisão na SIT2, enquanto que na SIT1 a eficácia foi mais elevada; no levantamento observou-se que a SIT2 apresentou melhores resultados no desempenho técnico, ajustamento e eficiência, enquanto que na SIT1 a eficácia foi mais elevada; no ataque, na SIT2, observou-se melhores resultados no ajustamento e na tomada de decisão. Conclui-se que as restrições ambientais influenciam nos comportamentos dos aprendizes, evidenciando que contextos ecológicos diferentes oportunizam ações inerentes ao ambiente específico de jogo.

The objective of this study was to identify how the ecological variables influence the setter during the setting and what were the predictive factors of the attack effect among Brazilian teams ranked from the 1st to 4th place in the volleyball Women’s Super-League in 2016-2017. We analyzed 768 attacks from 10 matches played among the teams. A descriptive analysis was performed and, to identify how the setting location differed in relation to the ecological variables, the One-Way ANOVA (factor 1 = setting location) was used. In addition, multinomial logistic regression was performed to understand the predictive factors of the effect of the attack. The significance level was set at 5% (p≤.05) and the SPSS software version 20.0 was used. The results showed the setting location differed according to the distance between the setter and the central attacker, the distance between the setter and the central blocker, and the distance between the setter and the blocker of position 4. Besides, it was observed that the powerful attack and the blocking touch were predictive factors of the effect of the attack. Thus, it is concluded that the decision-making for the action of the setting is based on the availability of the central attacker and the configuration of the blockers, the powerful attack reduces the chances of defense and the blocking touch reduces the chances of scoring by attacking.Key words: volleyball, game analysis, game ecology

The present study aims to analyze the predictive factors of the effects of attacks carried out from the attack zone. The sample consisted of the observation of 8,059 attack actions of the Brazilian men’s Super League in 2014–2015. The variables analyzed were reception effect, attack tempo, and attack effect. The results showed that excellent reception, first attack tempo and powerful attacks increase the chance of scoring; defense of attack increases the chances of occurring after moderate reception but reduces them after first attack tempo and powerful attacks; attack blocked increases the chance of occurring after the powerful diagonal attack. In conclusion, in contemporary volleyball, the effect of the reception should be high to allow all options of attack to score, even attack with speed and attack with power, when the attack is performed from the attack zone. Many studies have shown that the variable practice of a motor skill would facilitate its transfer to a new skill variation. Most of these studies, however, have tested this proposition under a limited amount of skill variation: generally three. We are interested in investigating if a more variable practice condition would enhance skill transfer. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate the effects of different amount of variation in variable practice in skill transfer. Undergraduate students (N=33) were randomly assigned to three groups: Constant practice; Variable practice with 3 variations; and Variable practice with 5 variations. Participants transported a tennis balls among six containers in a predefined sequence and target time. In acquisition phase, participants performed 30 trials with knowledge of results after every trial. In the transfer test, 10 trials were performed with the same sequence as in acquisition phase and a new target time, without knowledge of results. Results showed that most varied practice condition showed lower errors than the constant practice condition in transfer test. Moreover, differences among variable practice with different numbers of variations were not observed. Thus, variability of practice hypothesis was partially supported by the results of this study, since higher amounts of variations also led to a better transfer than constant practice. However, no advantages were found for the most variable practice condition when compared to the less variable condition in variable practice. New studies that investigate more complex skills and different amounts of variation in variable practice should be carried out inorder to further investigate this specific issue of the variability of practice.

Estudos têm investigado os efeitos do autocontrole de conhecimento de resultados (CR) e conhecimento de performance (CP) de forma isolada. Os resultados desses estudos têm demonstrado superioridade da condição autocontrolada em ambos (CR e CP). O presente estudo investigou o efeito do autocontrole simultâneo e de forma isolada de CR e de CP na aprendizagem de habilidades motoras, bem como as estratégias que tornam o contexto de prática adequado às necessidades do aprendiz. Setenta e dois participantes (M = 24,4 anos, DP = 3,5), inexperientes na tarefa, realizaram o saque flutuante com apoio do voleibol com o objetivo de atingir o centro de um alvo posicionado no solo do lado oposto da quadra. Seis grupos experimentais foram constituídos conforme a informação disponibilizada (CP / CR / CP ou CR) e tipo de feedback (autocontrolado ou pareado) em três experimentos distintos: Em cada experimento foram comparado grupos autocontrolados com grupos pareados sendo o primeiro com fornecimento de CP, o segundo de CR e o terceiro com CP e CR. Os experimentos consistiram de fase de aquisição com 200 tentativas e testes com 10 tentativas. Escore médio no alvo e escore do padrão de movimento foram utilizados como medidas de desempenho. Os resultados dos experimentos mostraram que todos os grupos apresentaram desempenho similar em relação ao alvo e que os grupos que receberam CP de forma autocontrolada apresentaram desempenho superior em relação ao padrão de movimento. Verificou-se que os grupos autocontrolados utilizaram estratégias cognitivas a partir de metas de desempenho, tanto em relação ao alvo quanto em ao padrão de movimento. Ainda, utilizaram metaestratégias para monitorar, avaliar e alterar as metas das estratégias cognitivas, adequando o contexto de prática de acordo com as necessidades individuais. Studies have investigated the effects of self-control of knowledge of results and knowledge of performance in a isolated way. Results of these studies have demonstrated superior performance of self-controlled condition in both (KR and KP). The present study investigated the effect of simultaneous and isolated self-controlled of KR and KP in motor skills learning, as well as the strategies that drive practice context adequate to the learner needs. Seventy two participants (M=24.4 year-old, sd=3.5), novice in the task, performed the floating serve with aim to hit a bull-eye target placed on the floor in the opposite side of court. Six experimental groups were constituted following the available information (KP, KR, and KP or KR) and kind of feedback (self-controlled or yoked) in three distinct experiments: In each experiment, self-controlled and yoked groups were compared, being provided KP in the first, KR in the second and KP and KR in the third study. The experiments consisted of acquisition phase with 200 trials and tests (after-test and retention) with 10 trials. Average score in the target and movement pattern score were utilized as performance measures. Experiments results showed that all groups presented similar performance in target and groups that receive self-controlled KP presented superior performance in movement pattern score. It was verified that self-controlled groups used cognitive strategies from performance goals setting in relation to the target as well as to the movement pattern. Still, they also used meta-cognitive strategies to monitoring, evaluating and changing the goals of cognitive strategies in order to become practice context more adequate to individual needs.

A interferência contextual mostra relação entre o tipo de prática e a intensidade da interferência. Assim, esta revisão relacionou a interferência contextual com o PMG, na aquisição de uma habilidade motora. Buscou-se periódicos nas bases de dados SciELO, MEDLINE, MEDLINE/ PUBMED, Web of Science, Science, Wiley Online Library e Scopus, até o ano de 2015. Os resultados mostraram inconsistências entre o efeito de interferência contextual e a aquisição de programas motores. Entretanto, em conjunto, deram indícios de que a prática com alta interferência contextual promove efeito benéfico na melhoria da capacidade de parametrização do movimento e que deve ser inserida após a aquisição de uma estrutura, a qual é melhor adquirida através da prática constante.

The aim of the present study was to analyze the association between variables of the game on the offensive structure from the zone in which attack is performed in high-level Men’s volleyball. The sample was composed by 12 teams, with the analysis of 142 games, which totalized 19,545 reception, set and attack actions. Data analyses were run with descriptive statistic and the qui-quadratic test for searching association between the variables. The results showed association between tempo of attack and attack effect, type of attack and attack zone and attack zone and tempo of attack and attack effect. It was concluded that Brazilian teams underuse backcourt attacks, and the offensive structure accomplished through the faster game, which is mainly important on attacks carried out in positions 2, 3 and 4. Furthermore, the reception quality proved to be the precursor factor in the construction of attack. It was also observed that there was no 1st tempo of attacks from the backcourt, indicating that it is necessary to change the type of game, specifically with the increment of the speed of sets conducted by the backcourt. O objetivo do presente estudo foi o de analisar a associação entre as variáveis de jogo na estruturação ofensiva a partir da zona em que o ataque é executado no voleibol masculino de alto nível. A amostra foi composta por 12 equipes, com a análise de 142 jogos, totalizando 19.545 ações de recepção, levantamento e ataque. Os dados foram analisados através da estatística descritiva e ao teste do qui-quadrado para verificação da associação entre as variáveis. Os resultados mostraram associação entre o tempo de ataque e o efeito do ataque, entre o tipo de ataque e a zona do ataque e entre a zona do ataque e o tempo e efeito do ataque. Conclui-se que as equipes brasileiras subutilizam os ataques do fundo de quadra, sendo a estruturação ofensiva efetivada através do jogo mais rápido, o que é fundamental na conquista do ponto, principalmente nos ataques realizados das posições 2, 3 e 4. Além disso, a qualidade da recepção mostrou-se como fator precursor na construção do ataque. Observou-se ainda que não houve ataques de 1º tempo pelo fundo de quadra, indicando que é necessária a mudança do tipo de jogo, especificamente com o incremento de velocidade dos levantamentos para os ataques realizados pelo fundo de quadra.

The objective of this study was to analyze the relationship between tempo and type of attack with the effect of the attack on Women Superleague (Brazilian Championship). For such, we resorted to the analysis and observation of 11 games, earning a total of 1831 actions of attack. The variables investigated were the type of attack realized, the tempo of attack and the effect of the attack. The appreciation of inferential analysis of collected data allowed, through the qui-square analysis, established that there was a statistically significant association between the type of attack and the attack effect (X2 = 577.967, p = 0.000) and between the tempo of attack and the attack effect (X2 = 26.606, p = 0.003). The association between the type of attack and the effect of the attack has shown that the attack on the diagonal was the most frequent and put the attack allowed to occur more than expected continuity of the game. In relation to tempo of attack was observed that despite the attack 3rd time have been the most recurrent, was associated with the point of attack 1st time. Thus, this study concluded that, for the population tested, the potent attack showed to be most frequent. Furthermore, it was observed that there was a predominance of slower game (3rd time), favoring the continuity of the game, therefore, when the game was made with more speed there is the increased chance of success in the attack. O objetivo do presente estudo foi o de analisar a relação entre o tempo e tipo de ataque com o efeito do ataque (eficácia) na Superliga Feminina. Para tal, recorreu-se à análise e observação de 11 jogos, obtendo um total de 1831 ações de ataque. As variáveis investigadas foram o tipo de ataque realizado, o tempo de ataque e o efeito do ataque. A apreciação da análise inferencial dos dados recolhidos, por meio do quiquadrado, constatou que existiu uma associação estatisticamente significativa entre o tipo de ataque e o efeito do ataque (X 2 =577,967; p=0,000), bem como entre o tempo de ataque e o efeito do ataque (X 2 =26,606; p=0,003). A associação entre o tipo de ataque e o efeito do ataque permitiu verificar que o ataque na diagonal foi o mais recorrente e que o ataque colocado permitiu que ocorresse mais do que o esperado a continuidade do jogo. Com relação ao tempo de ataque observou-se que, embora o ataque de 3º tempo ter sido o mais recorrente, houve associação do ponto com o ataque de 1º tempo. Assim o presente estudo permitiu concluir que, para a população analisada, o ataque potente mostrou-se mais recorrente. Além disso, a predominância de um jogo mais lento (3º tempo) favoreceu a continuidade do jogo, entretanto, quando o mesmo foi efetuado com mais velocidade verificou-se o aumento da possibilidade de sucesso no ataque.

O estudo buscou identificar em situação de Complexo I possíveis fatores preditores da vitória/derrota no voleibol. Foram analisados dezoito jogos, sendo três de cada equipa participante da Superliga Feminina 2011/2012 (Brasil). Aplicou-se a regressão logística multinomial, com o intuito de medir o grau de associação entre o efeito da receção, tipo de levantamento, tempo de ataque, tipo de ataque, tipo de oposição e efeito do ataque com o resultado final do set (vitória ou derrota). Os resultados demostram que as chances de derrota no set são aumentadas com os erros de receção, com as receções moderadas, com os erros de ataque e com os ataques que promovem a continuidade do jogo. Dentre os fundamentos do voleibol, o ataque mostra-se como responsável pelo maior número de pontos, sendo que o ataque de primeiro tempo se relaciona com a maior ocorrência do ponto, por dificultar a ação defensiva do adversário. Contudo, a maior parte desses estudos apresentam resultados generalizados, não especificando as condições situacionais e os constrangimentos especificadores de cada zona de ataque. Assim, o presente estudo tem por objetivo analisar o jogo no complexo I praticado pelo atacante central da Superliga Brasileira de Voleibol Masculina 2014/2015. Compõem a amostra 12 equipes, sendo observados 142 jogos, totalizando 5350 ações de recepção, levantamento e ataque. Para a análise exploratória recorreu-se à estatística descritiva e para a associação entre as variáveis recorreu-se ao teste do Qui-Quadrado. Os resultados apontaram que os ataques ocorreram, em sua maioria, após recepções A e B, sendo o ponto de ataque mais recorrente, bem como os ataques potentes. Além disso, observou-se a relação entre o efeito da recepção e o tipo de levantamento com tipo de ataque, bem como relação do tipo de levantamento com o efeito do ataque. Assim, conclui-se que o jogo praticado pelo atacante central se mostrou eficiente para a conquista do ponto, uma vez que diminuiu as chances de defesa do adversário, devido a redução do tempo para a organização defensiva. Por fim, verificou-se que as restrições situacionais delimitaram a ação do jogador central, sugerindo que futuras pesquisas busquem restringir as situações de análise e os constrangimentos situacionais de cada situação específica de jogo.
