PT. XYZ is a state company located in Lhoknga, Aceh Besar District. Before being able to decide on a corporate social responsibility (CSR) program, a social mapping is needed so that the CSR program is right on target. Social mapping was carried out through the Rapid Rural Appraisal method with in-depth interviews and descriptive analysis. The population is the Meunasah Mesjid village community in Lhoknga District. A total of 20 selected resource persons: village heads, village leaders, mosque priests, youth leaders, PKK (Family Welfare Empowerment) heads, farmers, fishermen, ranchers, tourism business actors, BUMG heads (village-owned enterprises), health cadres, organizational management, women leaders, small businesses, day laborers, and employees of PT. XYZ. The results found that all groups/organizations came from the village itself. Figures have better formal and religious education so they have access to local and even national levels. The main livelihood is generally working in the scope of PT. XYZ as contractor and partner. The rest work as seasonal farmers and cake makers.

The Covid-19 pandemic has harmed the economic sector. As many as 3.05 million workers in Indonesia have been affected by layoffs (PHK) due to the coronavirus in early 2020. This pandemic has made the lives of the Acehnese people even more difficult for certain groups. The worst impact of the pandemic occurred in the lower middle class and women, one of which was the youth in the Aceh Besar region. In the group of young women, family economic problems also overlap with health problems. So by providing capital assistance and training in making mask connectors to groups of young girls, it is hoped that they will not only help them face the current pandemic but also become a new, better source of income in the long term. This is accompanied by educational activities about the importance of implementing health protocols and the benefits of the Covid-19 vaccine. Two methods are used: the first is providing information about Covid-19, Health Protocols, and the benefits of the Covid-19 vaccine, and the second is providing skills to make mask connectors using beads. From the activities carried out, it was known that participants received accurate information about Covid-19, health protocols during a pandemic, and the benefits of the Covid-19 vaccine. Participants had a high enough enthusiasm for the training in making mask connectors. They wanted to develop further the skills built from the results of this community service and marketing methods in the field.

Background: Smoking is a major risk factor against the burden of disease in the world. The large number of coffee stalls found in Banda Aceh is one of the causes of the high number of smokers, so it shows that coffee and cigarettes are inseparable. The purpose of this research is to find out the factors that affect smokers in stopping smoking habit in the coffee shop in Banda Aceh in 2019. Methods: This research is analytical observational, using Cross Sectional design. The research site at coffee shops in Banda Aceh was conducted in August 2019. The samples in this study were active smokers. The data was analyzed with a logistic regression test using Stata 13. Result: The results showed that the percentage of respondents who mad efforts to quit smoking was 72.19%. Bivariate analysis shows that there is a link between the number of cigarettes per day that is heavy (p=0.003), medium (p=0.005) and severe (p=0.026) with smoking cessation efforts, while the variable age, the first age of smoking, marital status, income, education, anxiety, alcohol consumption, knowledge, smoking time lag in the morning, and other smokers influences in the family environment has no relationship with quitting smoking. Multivariate analysis shows that the association to quitting smoking is in the in the variable number of cigarettes per day in the moderate, heavy, and severe categories. Conclusion: The most dominant variables that has a connection to smoking cessation is the heavy, moderate and severeamount of cigarettes per day.

Latar Belakang: Depresi merupakan kondisi emosional yang ditandai dengan kesedihan, perasaan tidak berarti dan bersalah, menarik diri dari orang lain, dan tidak dapat tidur, kehilangan selera makan, hasrat seksual, dan minat serta kesenangan dalam aktivitas yang biasa dilakukan. Berdasarkan hasil Riskesdas (2018) prevalensi depresi di Provinsi Aceh pada tahun 2018 sebanyak 4.8% dari total populasi. Metode: Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan cross sectional study yang dilakukan pada bulan Agustus 2019 di Instalasi Kemoterapi RSUDZA Banda Aceh. Responden dalam penelitian ini adalah pasien yang menjalani kemoterapi kanker sebanyak 70 orang. Hasil: Hasil penelitian didapatkan ada hubungan level kanker stadium 2 dengan depresi dengan nilai ( p value =0.001), ada hubungan level kanker stadium 3 dengan depresi dengan nilai ( p value =0.001), dan ada hubungan level kanker stadium 4 dengan depresi dengan nilai ( p value =0.001). Kesimpulan: Pasien kanker pada stadium 2, 3, dan 4 memiliki hubungan yang signifikan terhadap depresi yang dirasakan. Bagi instalasi kemoterapi dan tenaga kesehatan khususnya di RSUDZA Banda Aceh diharapkan dapat meningkat kualitas pelayanan dan perawatan terhadap pasien kemoterapi kanker dengan tidak melupakan aspek psikologisnya.

Latar Belakang: Dari data SDKI (2017) didapat bahwa cakupan pelayanan antenatal (pernah mendapat pelayanan antenatal) yang diperiksa oleh tenaga kesehatan yang kompeten (K1) telah cukup tinggi yaitu 97.5% dan pelayanan ANC (K4) yaitu 77.4%, namun ternyata angka Bayi Berat Lahir Rendah (BBLR) masih cukup tinggi yaitu 7.1% berdasarkan catatan pada kartu menuju sehat (KMS) atau laporan ibu. Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan analisis terhadap data sekunder hasil SDKI 2017 penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif analitik dilakukan dengan menggunakan desain Cross-sectional dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Lokasi penelitian di 34 Provinsi di seluruh Indonesia, dilakukan pada tanggal 24 Juli sampai 30 September 2017. Hasil: Responden yang melakukan kunjungan kehamilan tidak penuh sebesar 22.51%, responden yang tidak ditimbang berat badan 13.50%, responden yang tidak diukur tinggi badan 30.29%, responden yang tidak diukur tekanan darah 57.12%, responden yang tidak diperiksa urin sebesar 65.00%, responden yang tidak diuji labolatorium sampel darah sebesar 57.12%. Analisis bivariat menunjukkan bahwa komponen pelayanan antenatal care dengan kejadian BBLR, dari komponen yang diajukan ada komponen yang berhubungan dengan BBLR adalah ANC: Diukur timbang badan diperoleh p value 0.0001 dan nilai OR = 0.643 artinya ibu hamil yang ditimbang berat badan berpotensi memproteksi BBLR sebesar 64% dibandingkan dengan ibu hamil yang tidak ditimbang. Kesimpulan: Kualitas pelayanan antenatal care menjadi variabel independen utama yang menyebabkan BBLR, tetapi variabel lain juga mempunyai hubungan dengan BBLR. Selain itu responden tidak melakukan kunjungan antenatal dengan baik maka akan berisiko terjadinya BBLR.

Aspal porus merupakan campuran beraspal yang memiliki rongga udara yang besar yang menyebabkan aspal porus memiliki nilai stabilitas yang rendah. Untuk meningkatkan nilai stabilitas diperlukan bahan tambah lain yang memiliki potensi seperti limbah Abu Cangkang Tiram (OSA) dan limbah High Density Polyethylene (HDPE). OSA mempunyai sifat kimia yang mengandung kapur dan silika yang berfungsi untuk keawetan dan mengunci antar agregat pada perkerasan jalan. Sedangkan HDPE memiliki kekuatan yang tinggi dan kaku serta perilaku untuk mengikat sehingga dapat memperkuat ikatan antara agregat dan OSA dan menambah perkuatan terhadap campuran aspal porus. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menentukan Kadar Aspal Optimum (OAC) pada campuran aspal porus, dan menganalisis variasi persentase terbaik OSA dan limbah HDPE sebagai substitusi aspal pen 60/70. Pengujian yang dilakukan adalah pemeriksaan terhadap parameter Marshall. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variasi filler 50% OSA : 50% PC dengan 4%, 6% HDPE dapat meningkatkan nilai stabilitas Marshall pada campuran aspal porus serta memenuhi spesifikasi Australian Asphalt Pavement Association (AAPA). The improvement of stability requires another potential additive material as Oyster Shell Ash (OSA) and High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) waste. OSA contains of chemical characteristics consisting of calcium and silica for durability and locking the aggregate and road pavement. While HDPE is rigid, high strength, and binder that it can strengthen the bond of aggregate and OSA as well as strengthen porous asphalt mix. The research aims to determine OAC to porous asphalt mix, and analyze the best percentage variation of OSA filler substitution and HDPE waste as asphalt pen 60/70 substitution. The test was carried out was Marshall Parameter investigation. The output explained that the variation of 50% OSA filler: 50% PC using 4%, 6% HDPE can improve the Marshall stability on porous asphalt mix and meet specification of Australian Asphalt Pavement Association (AAPA). Countries around the world are still struggling due to the COVID-19 pandemic. No exception with Indonesia, a developing country with the highest mortality rate and the lowest number of tests in Asia. Located in the northernmost, Aceh is one of the poorest provinces with a history of long-term conflict is not in the best condition to face a pandemic. This study's objective is to assess the local government's performance in responding to this pandemic according to the Acehnese community's level of satisfaction. Additionally, this study proposes a priority list for the local government to follow up on. A total of 529 respondents were collected within a week by the criteria of having internet access, being literate, and using WhatsApp messenger. The results show that the Acehnese are dissatisfied with the local government's performance in all districts or cities and at all stages, which include: anticipation, early detection, containment, control and mitigation, and elimination. Meanwhile, the top five priority recommendations are: conducting more rapid test and COVID-19 test; providing more test tools; performing detection; and inhibiting spread. These findings lead to many interpretations: lower trust towards the government, a poor health system, and potential influence on the political output. While vaccines are now being distributed in Aceh, the main focus is still to minimize spread and heal the sick. Looking at these results, the Aceh provincial government needs to work harder to improve both its performance and reputation with the Acehnese people.

The post-disaster evaluation of buildings during occupancy should indicate whether the reconstruction has succeeded in acting as a catalyst for recovery and whether further requirements for assistance are needed. Among other structures, hospitals are considered the most essential assets in disaster management. Located near the coastal area, Meuraxa Hospital is one of the public hospitals, which was destroyed by a tsunami and earthquake in 2004. The hospital was rebuilt in a new location within the city far away from the shoreline. The aim of this study is to evaluate the building performance of Meuraxa Hospital following its post-disaster reconstruction using three main variables: Built Environment and User Building, Building System Levels, and Disaster Risk Management (DRM). The sample units are individuals including hospital staff and visitors selected through probability sampling. In 2012, Meuraxa Hospital had 269 staff and 183 patients for a total of 452 people; the sample size was 107 respondents. This study used a modified AEDET toolkit proven to be valid and reliable in a previous study by the same author. The modification goal is to meet the local needs by adding a building system representing local regulations and DRM for the post-disaster context. The scales of performances for the questionnaires are adopted in full from the AEDET system using a descriptive statistic with the average score for each variable. Additionally, interviews with key persons and field observations were integrated for a comprehensive analysis. The total score for Built Environment and Building User is 3.61 (“accepted”), for Building System, it is 3.69 (“accepted”), and for DRM, it is 3.53 (“accepted”). Meuraxa Hospital is a collaboration project with multiple donors including Indonesia, Austria, and Hungary. Each donor built a separate building in one compound. Two major criticisms resulted: First, the donors refused to facilitate hospital management space, which does not make sense as such space is necessary to operate a hospital. The second involved the failure of the semi-stilt design applied, which was difficult to maintain and became a burden because waste and rainwater were collected under it. In general, the performance of the hospital building is acceptable. The lesson learned was that each donor has different quality control standards during construction, and this results in a variety of building qualities in one compound project. Hospital management is one of the main activities in a hospital that should be accommodated, and designing public buildings with semi-stilts is not recommended as maintenance is difficult. In the context of tsunami and earthquake risks, designing and building use strong construction, a flexible structure, and multistory buildings are more significant.

Background: Tuberculosis (TB) is a global health problem, Indonesia had the second rank of the case in the world after India which is the fourth cause of death. Giving vitamin D together with anti-tuberculosis drugs can increase healing proses because vitamin D (anti-microbial immunomodulators) kills Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Objectives : This study aims to measure the effect of giving anti-tuberculosis drugs with vitamin D on changes in AFB in patients with pulmonary tuberculosis. Methods: This study was used a quasi-experiment design, pre-test and post-test control group was doing at 25 th March – 25 th July 2019. This research has been conducted in Pidie Regency. The intervention group (17 samples with tuberculosis drugs) was given Softgels vitamin D 5000 IU for 4 months, while the control group was only anti-tuberculosis drug therapy. The data were analyzed statistically using the Wilcoxon and Mann Whitney tests at a significance level of 95%. Results: Before the intervention, the BTA status of both the intervention and control group was similar (p= 0.061). After the intervention, there was a decrease in AFB interactions (p= 0.000). There was a decrease in the contribution of AFB in the control group before with after intervention (p= 0.000). There are those who support (p= 0.033) giving vitamin D the acceleration of pulmonary tuberculosis treatment. Conclusion: It is better to administer vitamin D to the successful treatment of pulmonary TB in patients undergoing anti-tuberculosis drug therapy.

Tsunami shaken the Indian Ocean in 2004 as the fourth-largest earthquake in a century erupted underwater off the Indonesian province of Aceh. Killing 227.898 people across 14 countries, with Indonesia, Sri Lanka, India, and Thailand the hardest hit. Aceh was struggling under more than 30 years of armed conflict whilst facing one of the deadliest natural disasters in modern history. As a blessing in disguise, the post-tsunami reconstruction has opened many opportunities for Aceh: ending the long civil war and receiving aid predicted as much as US$ 6.1 billion. The Indonesia government claimed to have built more than 120.000 homes, 3.500 kilometers of roads, 266 bridges, 20 ports, 12 airports, 954 health facilities, 1.450 school buildings, and 979 public offices. This paper’s objective is to discuss the problem found in those assets to have complete lessons learned perspective. Secondary data was analyzed from the final report of Transition Unit - a temporary body assisting the Aceh Provincial Government during the transition period before reconstruction is officially closed in 2009. This study focused on public buildings under the Aceh Provincial Government that received the highest number of assets. Major problem found: the local government is not prepared to manage large public assets; lack of mutual understanding between local governments and central government; and many assets does not fulfill administration requirement by the Indonesia construction regulations. Types of problematic assets left are: no official documents, unclear ownership, unclear maintenance budget, already damaged, not utilize, and some assets still not finish. These findings may impact the sustainability of the public buildings and may increase the vulnerability factor in facing disaster in the future.

Semakin bertambahnya usia seseorang maka seluruh fungsi organ telah mencapai puncak maksimal sehingga yang terjadi adalah penurunan fungsi organ. Masalah gizi yang sering diderita di usia lanjut adalah kurang gizi, kondisi kurang gizi tanpa disadari karena gejala yang muncul hampir tak terlihat sampai usia lanjut sehingga berdampak terjadinya gizi buruk. Tujuan untuk mengetahui faktor risiko yang berhubungan dengan malnutrisi pada lansia yang tinggal di masyarakat Banda Aceh. Penelitian ini bersifat kuantitatif dengan menggunakan desain cross sectional. Sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 146 lansia berumur 60 tahun keatas yang berada di kecamatan Banda Raya uji statistik dengan menggunakan uji logistik regresi dan odd ratio. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor resiko yang sangat signifikan dengan terjadinya malnutrisi pada lansia adalah pendapatan keluarga, dukungan keluarga, gaya hidup dan riwayat penyakit (OR > 1). Diharapkan tenaga kesehatan dapat meningkatkan pelayanan kesehatan terhadap lansia yaitu aktif dengan mengunjungi posyandu dengan memberikan informasi tentang asupan makanan dan mengajak keluarga untuk bisa saling memberikan perhatian dan mulai mengenali, mengamati asupan nutrisinya agar tercukupi. Responding to the effects of the earthquake and tsunami in 2004, Badan Rehabilitasi dan Rekonstruksi Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam-Nias (BRR NAD-Nias) was assigned as the coordinating and executing agency for improving the region in Aceh province and Nias islands in Indonesia. The allocation for the projects directly implemented by the BRR was approximately USD 2.6 billion. Based on local regulation, these assets must be turned over to the Aceh government. Although most assets were already occupied, neither an appropriate handover nor external project evaluation was conducted. This preliminary study surveyed opinions from building users regarding building quality, the need for building evaluation, and the general opinion for occupying assets with no appropriate handover process in a post-disaster context. The samples included a school, health center, and a sub-district level government office in Banda Aceh city. This study used descriptive methods and a quantitative approach. Results showed the majority of respondents doubted the quality and condition of the assets and agreed with the importance of conducting asset evaluation. However, they are uncertain whether occupying assets before an appropriate handover was appropriate because the post-disaster situation required assets to be functional as soon as possible.

As the largest reconstruction project in the developing world at the time, Aceh’s post reconstruction experience may provide useful lessons on how aid is delivered particularly for public buildings and facilities as one of the largest amount of projects after housing. In Indonesian construction industry, among many stages of construction process, handover is still commonly underrated or even skipped. This is no different in the case of post-disaster reconstruction where challenges raised as there were pressures to build thousands of facilities in a limited amount of time and need to be occupied as soon as possible. This study objective is to evaluate the handover practice in post-disaster reconstruction of public buildings and facilities after being occupied. The survey focused only for buildings constructed by the Indonesia government agency (BRR) and managed to cover 24 buildings that are divided into government offices, schools and community health centres in Banda Aceh, the capital city of Aceh province from total 53 buildings available. Questionnaires were distributed to respondents which are government staff that responsible for the building operational with a response rate of 54%. The survey results show that the handover process is not completed and therefore the respondents doubt with the building quality. Though, respondents are neutral in accepting buildings without proper handover because they understand the urgency of operating public buildings and facilities immediately in emergency situation. Respondents still urged for post-occupancy evaluation by independent committee and fully agreed for proper handover practice in the future. As for final recommendation, conducting project evaluation by independent committee is essential even most of the buildings already being used and might replace the lack of handover administration stage for legal solution in government assets in the context of Aceh’s post-reconstruction.

Quality continues to be such an issue in humanitarian projects and it is because the model of quality control in normal business is driven by its customers however, does not operate in the aid sector. Evaluation and monitoring in every building life cycle in reconstruction process is important to increase the quality of the aid project. Among all types of public buildings and facilities, hospital is considered as one of the most essential assets in disaster management. However, there is no list of criteria available yet to evaluate post-disaster hospital building performance. The objective of this study is to identify the key criteria for hospital building. A total of 116 respondents are collected from experts of built environment field and high level position staff in grade B hospital in the capital city of Aceh province, Banda Aceh. After conducting Cronbach's alpha coefficient test and factor analysis, total twenty-six criteria were found reliable and valid. Subsequent with the relative importance indices (RII) analysis, this study has come out with the top-fifteen most important criteria for post-disaster reconstruction building performance as in order: safety, health, control of environment impact, easiness, accessibility, engineering, building quality, staff and patient environment, comfort, functionality, building form and material, operational maintenance guideline, local institution capacity, architecture, disaster resilience, and the last criterion is sustainability. It is recommended to use these criteria for hospital building performance evaluation especially in disaster prone area. Future study is need to find out that the same criteria is applicable for other type of buildings and locations.

The tsunami that struck Aceh on 26th December 2004 had received the largest international aid-response due to the tremendous destruction. About USD 2.6 billion were spent on projects implemented by the Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Bureau (BRR NAD-Nias). The fact is that when BRR were dissolved, there is still not a single asset that has been transferred to the Aceh government until at present and no evaluation made so far. The objective of this study is to evaluate these assets – government offices, schools, and community health centres at sub-district level – based on end-user judgements. This study had applied the quantitative approach and for the sampling method, first started with random cluster sampling that covered 45% buildings and followed by the simple random method with the target of 1 building to 1 respondent. From 48 questionnaires distributed, 50% were completed and collected. For the purpose of data analysis, this study made use of descriptive statistics-median, RII (Relative Important Index), and mode analysis. The results were utilised as planned and accepted, however, with unclear transfer processes and incomplete documents. As a conclusion, these assets could not be regarded as assets belonging to the Aceh government until proper documentation has been completed.
