Bu çalışmada Türkiye’de yayılış gösteren Petrorhagia (Ser.) Link (Caryophyllaceae) cinsine ait türlerin polenyapıları mikromorfolojik yöntemle, taramalı elektron mikroskobu (SEM) kullanılarak incelenmiştir. Cins Ülkemizde 4türü endemik olmak üzere 12 türle temsil edilmektedir. Genellikle taşlık alanlar, tarla ve yol kenarları gibi habitatlarda yayılış gösteren cinsin türleri 2003-2007 yıllarıarasında proje kapsamında toplanılmıştır. Çalışma sonucunda Petrorhagia cinsi polen şeklinin sferoid olduğu ve türlerintamamında polenlerin porlu (poliporat) yapıda oldukları bulunmuştur. Ancak türler arasında; polen büyüklükleri, porsayıları, polen ve operkulum ornemantasyonları farklılıklar göstermektedir., In this study, the pollen structure of species belonging to the genus Petrorhagia (Ser.) Link (Caryophyllaceae)in Turkey with micromorphological method which is scanning electron microscopy (SEM) were examined. The genus isrepresented by 12 species, 4 of which are endemic. Petrorhagiaspecies, which generally spread in habitats such as stony areas, fields and road sides, were collected in the project between2003-2007. As a result of the study, it was found that the pollen shape of the genus was spheroid and the pollen specieswere porous in all species. However, among the species; pollen sizes, number of pores, pollen and operculumornamentations show differences.

The anatomical features of Peucedanum graminifolium Boiss. have been studied. This species is an endemic for Flora of Turkey. Root, stem and leaf cross-sections are investigated for anatomical studies and leaf surfaces are investigated for micromorphological studies. Outwards of stem are filled with sclerenchymatous cells. Paranchymatic cortex structure carry secretory canals. Vascular bundles are in groups and their relation is provided by sclerenchyma cells. Leaf mesophyll is paranchymatic and secretory canals are in vascular bundles on the lower surface side

The present study involves the flora of Balıkdamı Wetland and its surroundings in Sivrihisar, Eskişehir, Turkey. This 2-year study (2002-2003) examined the plant samples collected in this region and determined that there are 51 families, as well as 250 taxa belonging to 173 genera (247 species, 1 subspecies, and 2 varieties). All of these taxa belong to the Angiosperms (201 Dicotyledons, 49 Monocotyledons) subdivision. The largest families are Brassicaceae (31), Poaceae (29), and Fabaceae (25) in terms of the number of species and subspecies included. Genera represented by the highest number of species are Alyssum L. (5), Centaurea L. (5), and Consolida L. (4). The phytogeographical distribution is as follows: 47 Irano-Turanian (18.8%), 27 Euro-Siberian (10.8%), 23 Mediterranean (9.2%), and 153 unknown or other-regional elements (61.2%). The number of endemic taxa within the study area is 29 (11.6%). Fifty-one taxa are new records for the B3 square.

The morphological, anatomical and micromorphological features of Saponaria kotschyi Boiss. have been studied on plants collected from Osmangazi University-Meşelik Campus, Eskişehir. S. kotschyi is an endemic species and a new record from Eskişehir. In general, the results obtained from morphological studies were consistent with the description given in the Flora of Turkey, except for the calyx, as the calyx of S. kotschyi flowers not only had glandular hairs but also eglandular hairs. The anatomical studies on cross-sections of the root, stem, leaves and surface sections of leaves were presented and compared with previous findings. Furthermore, the micromorphological properties of the seed, leaves and pollen grains have been investigated by SEM and illustrations provided.

The present study is concerned with the flora of the Kalabak Basin, an area lying to the south-west of the city of Eskişehir that supplies Eskişehir with drinking water. As a result of our evaluation of the plant specimens collected over 3 years (2001 to 2003), 71 families, as well as 575 taxa belonging to 307 genera, were determined to occur in the study area (569 species, 3 subspecies, and 3 varieties). Two of these taxa belong to Pteridophytes, 5 belong to Gymnosperms, and 568 belong to Angiosperms (488 Dicotyledons, 80 Monocotyledons) subdivisions. The largest families are Asteraceae (80), Fabaceae (51), and Brassicaceae (40) in terms of the number of species and subspecies included. Genera represented by the highest number of species are Allium L. (13), Verbascum L. (9), and Centaurea L. (8). The distribution of phytogeographic elements is 95 for Irano-Turanian (16.52%), 82 for Euro-Siberian (14.26%), 51 for Mediterranean (8.86%), and 347 for others (60.34%). The number of endemic taxa within the study area is 80 (13.91%). Ninety-one taxa are new records for the B3 square.

WOS: 000304071800007, Random amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) markers were used to determine genetic relationships among Velezia L. species from Turkey. A total of 432 amplified bands were obtained using 14 RAPD primers. The polymorphism in RAPD markers was high (98.61%) and was sufficient to distinguish each species. The degree of band-sharing was used for evaluating the genetic similarity between species and for constructing a dendrogram by the unweighted pair group method with arithmetic mean (UPGMA). Genetic relationships among the species were found to be fully consistent with those obtained by the use of morphological characters. Data obtained from our study demonstrated that the RAPD technique could be successfully used for the determination of genetic relationships among Velezia species and for species identification. WOS: 000279624500004, In this study, pollen and seed morphology of Velezia L. (Caryophyllaceae) species in Turkey were investigated by light and scanning electron microscopy. The genus is represented by 5 species in Turkey: V tunicoides P.H.Davis, V hispida Boiss., V quadridentata Sibth. & Sm., V pseudorigida Hub.-Mor. and V rigida L. Endemism ratio of the genus is 60%, which shows that Turkey is the gene center for this genus. The pollen grains of Velezia species are radially symmetrical and isopolar, oblate-spheroidal, operculate, and polypantoporate, pores with conical spinules on operculum. Pollen ornamentation, pore numbers, exine thickness, pore diameter, operculum ornamentation, and spinule sizes are varying characters between Velezia species. Seeds of Velezia species are bright black when mature; the embryo is straight, the cylindrical seeds are dorsiventrally compressed usually with incurved and thickened margins; the hilum being situated in the centre of the concave surface. WOS: 000286040100096 A new subspecies of Centaurea yaltirikii N. Aksoy, H. Duman and A. Efe subsp. dumanii N. Aksoy and A. Efe (C. sect. Pseudoseridia Wagenitz, Asteraceae), is described and illustrated with diagnostic characters and taxonomic comments. The characteristics of the new subspecies are compared with those of the type subspecies from which it differs mainly in the hair of the leaves, stomata types, length and width of the pappus and surface of achene. In addition, the geographic distribution of the new subspecies is mapped. This study presents investigations into the morphological, anatomical and ecological features of Tulipa armena Boiss. var. lycica (Baker) Marais. T. armena var. lycica, an endemic species which was collected from the Eskişehir, Alpu-Bozan plantation area and from Kunduzlar Dam and its environs. The species is a new record for Eskişehir. For morphological studies a description and illustrations of T. armena var. lycica are given. The morphological differences were compared with the Flora of Turkey. For anatomical studies, cross-sections of the root, stem and leaves and surface sections of the leaves of T. armena var. lycica are investigated for the first time. Furthermore, for ecological investigations, the chemical and physical properties of the soil are analysed. The climate of Eskişehir and other climatic features are also given.

ÖZET Bu araştırma, 1996 ve 1997 yıllarında Batı Anadolu'dan 111 farklı lokaliteden toplanan, Gypsophila L. cinsi ile yapılmıştır. Bölgeden G. sphaerocephala Fenzl ex Tchihat var. sphaerocephala, G. arrostii Guss. var. nebulosa (Boiss. & Heldr.) Bark., G. perfoliata L. var. perfoliata, G. perfoliata L. var. araratica Kit Tan, G. curvifolia Fenzl, G. eriocalyx Boiss. var. eriocalyx, G. eriocalyx Boiss. var. henrici (Czecz.) Bark., G. parva Bark., G. viscosa Murray, G. tubulosa (Jaub. & Spach) Boiss., G. pilosa Hudson, G. venusta Fenzl olmak üzere 12 takson toplanmıştır. G. eriocalyx bu araştırma sonucu iki varyeteye ayrılmıştır. Morfolojik çalışmalar bölümünde kök, gövde, yaprak, çiçek ve meyve özellikleri saptanmıştır. Her lokaliteden alman fazla sayıda örnek üzerinde yapılan ölçümler sonucunda taksonların deskripsiyonları yeniden düzenlenmiştir. Gypsophila cinsinde tek ve çok yıllık bitkiler bulunmaktadır. Bu araştırmada toplanan G. parva, G. viscosa, G. tubulosa ve G. pilosa tek yıllıktır. Çok yıllık olanlarda ise kökler çok yıllık bitki özelliği gösterirken, her yıl yeniden gelişen gövdeler tek yıllık bitki özelliği göstermektedirler. Yapılan anatomik çalışmalar ile toplanan tüm taksonların kök, gövde ve yaprak anatomileri ortaya konulmuştur. Tohum çimlendirme çalışmaları sonucunda Gypsophila cinsinde genel olarak çimlenme yüzdesinin yüksek olduğu ve tohumların kısa sürede çimlendiği bulunmuştur. 111 lokaliteden alınan toprak örneklerinin fiziksel ve kimyasal analizleri yapılarak, cinsin tercih ettiği toprakların özellikleri belirlenmiştir. Palinolojik çalışmalarda ise, cinsin polenleri ışık mikroskobunda incelenmiş ve polen morfolojileri arasındaki farklılıklar ortaya konulmuştur. SUMMARY This study is about the genus Gypsophila L. gathered from 111 different location in the West Anatolia in 1996 - 1997. Twelve taxa are gathered from this region. These taxa are G. sphaerocephala Fenzl ex Tchihat var. sphaerocephala, G. arrostii Guss. var. nebulosa (Boiss. & Heldr.) Bark., G perfoliata L. var. perfoliate*, G. perfoliata L. var. araratica Kit Tan, G. curvifolia Fenzl, G. eriocalyx Boiss. var. eriocalyx, G. eriocalyx Boiss. var. henrici (Czecz.) Bark., G. parva Bark., G. viscosa Murray, G. tnbulosa (Jaub. & Spach) Boiss., G. pilosa Hudson, G. vemtsta Fenzl. G. eriocalyx is separated to two variety in this study. Root, stem, leaf, flower and fruit features are obtained in the morphological studies. After measurement studies on more than one plant of each location, descriptions of the taxa are rearranged. There is annual and perennial plants in genus Gypsophila. G. parva, G. viscosa, G. tnbulosa and G. pilosa are annual. For the perennial taxa, roots have features of a perenial plant while stems growing up in every year have features of an annual plant. In the anatomical studies, all gathered taxa are examined. Anatomies of roots, stems and leafs in this taxa are obtained. It is observed from the study of germination of seed, rate of germination is very high and seeds are germinated in a few days in the genus Gypsophila. Soil samples are taken from 111 location. Physical and chemical analysis of these soil samples determines the types of soil chosen by the genus. In the palinological studies, pollen of genus examined in the light microscope and determined the difference between the morphology of pollens. 180

z%z?>^ ÖZET Bu araştırmada Cicer arietinum L. ve Cicer pinnatifidum Jaub. et Spach türleri üzerinde embriyo kültürü çalışmaları yapılmıştır. îzole embriyolardan uygun besin ortamlarında in vitro koşullarda tam bitkicikler elde edilmiştir. Cicer arietinum tohumlarından sağlıklı embriyoların çıkarılabilmesi için tohumların normal oda koşullarında 24 saat süre ile H2O destile içinde bekletilmeleri yeterli olduğu halde, Cicer pinnatifidum da bu süre ve bu koşullar yetersiz kalmıştır. Cicer pinnatifidum tohumlarından sağlıklı embriyoların elde edilebilmesi için tohumların 1 hafta süre ile 22°C lik etüvde H20 destile içinde bekletilmelerinin uygun olduğu saptanmıştır. Cicer arietinum da embriyoların inokülasyonundan 28-30 gün sonra küçük saksılara şaşırtılabilecek duruma gelmiş yeşil bitkicikler elde edilebildiği halde Cicer pinnatifidum da bu süre 50-55 gündür. Cicer arietinum dan izole edilen embriyolardan in vitro koşullarda yeşil bitkicik meydana gelme frekansı %70-80 olduğu halde, Cicer pinnatifidum da %40-50 olarak saptanmıştır. Bu da in vitro koşullarda izole embriyolardan tam yeşil bitkicik elde edilmesinin genotipe bağlı bir olgu olduğunu ortaya koymaktadır. Besin ortamına eklenen %2 `muz ekstrat` Cicer arietinum da sürgün gelişimini etkilememiş fakat kök gelişimini olumsuz etkilemiştir. %4 `muz ekstrat` ise sadece farklılaşmadan kalan kallus oluşumunu teşvik etmiştir. Cicer pinnatifidum embriyolarında ise hem %2 hem de %4 `muz ekstrat` gelişimi inhibe etmiştir. SUMMARY In this study, embryo cultures of Cicer arietinum L. and Cicer pinnatifıdum Jaub et. Spach species are carried out whole plantlets were obtained from isolated embryos in in vitro conditions in modificated `MS` nutrient. In order to get healthy embryos from seed of C. arietinum enough to put them in distiled water for 24 hours in normal conditions but not enough for C. pinnatifıdum. If it is wanted to get healthy embryos from C. pinnatifıdum it is found that, seeds should put 22°C oven with distiled water for a week. After 28-30 days from inoculation of C. arietinum embryos, young green plants are grown as much as planted into small flower pots, but this time is 50-55 days for C. pinnatifıdum. Although the frequency of getting green young plants in vitro conditions from isolated C. arietinum embryos is 70-80%, it is established that this frequency value is 40-50% in C. pinnatifıdum. This means that it depends on genetic structure to get green young plants in vitro conditions from isolated embryos. Addition 2% of banana extract to media in C. arietinum not to make change in shoot development, but it has got negative affect in root development, 4% of banana extracts is to encourage formation of callus which only happens after differentiation. Addition of banana extract both 2% and 4% in C. pinnatifidum embryos is inhibited its development. 47

This research was carried out in the valley of the Yazılıkaya village belonging to Han district, which is about 80 km southeast of the Eskişehir province. 1130 plant specimens were collected from the area between March 2009 and November 2010. Identification of the specimens revealed the presence of 477 taxa belonging to 277 genera in 75 families. Cryptogamae is 1 taxa, Spermatophyta is 476 taxa Gymnospermae is 6 taxa and Angiospermae is 470 taxa . The number of endemic taxa in the study area is 70 14.68% . As a result of study, the first three families with the highest number of taxa were found to be Asteraceae 54 taxa , Lamiaceae 41 taxa and Fabaceae 40 taxa . The distribution of phytogeographic elements are as follows: Irano-Turanian elements are 86 taxa 18.03% , Mediterranean elements are 59 taxa 12.37% , Euro-Siberian elements are 55 taxa 11.53% , widespread and other which their regions unrecognized are 277 taxa 58.07%, Bu çalışma, Eskişehir ilinin güney doğusundaki Han ilçesine bağlı Yazılıkaya köyü vadisinde ve çevresinde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırma alanından Mart 2009 - Kasım 2010 tarihleri arasında 1130 bitki örneği toplanmıştır. 75 familya, 277 cins, 477 tür ve türaltı takson tespit edilmiştir. Eğreltiler 1 takson, Açık Tohumlular 6 takson, Kapalı Tohumlular ise 470 takson içermektedir. Araştırma alanındaki 70 takson Türkiye için endemik olup endemizim oranı %14.68’dir. Çalışma sonucunda en fazla takson içeren ilk üç familyanın Asteraceae 54 takson , Lamiaceae 41 takson ve Fabaceae 40 takson olduğu bulunmuştur. Taksonların fitocoğrafik bölgelere göre dağılım ve oranlarının; 86 taksonun İran-Turan elementi %18.03 , 59 taksonun Akdeniz elementi %12.37 ve 55 taksonun Avrupa-Sibirya elementi %11.53 olduğu görülmektedir. 277’si ise geniş yayılışlı veya fitocoğrafik bölgesi bilinmeyen taksonlardır %58.07

Bu çalışma Barla Dağı (Isparta) liken florasını belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Nisan 2008-Aralık 2010 tarihleri arasında 54 lokaliteden toplanan liken örneklerin teşhisleri sonucu 209 liken ve 12 likenikol mantar olmak üzere toplam 221 takson tespit edilmiştir. Bu taksonların deskripsiyonları, çalışma alanı, ekolojik özellikleri, Türkiye ve dünyadaki yayılışları verilmiştir. Protoblastenia terricola (Anzi) Lynge liken türü ve likenikol mantar olan Zwackhiomyces dispersus (J. Lahm ex Körb.) Triebel & Grube Türkiye için yeni kayıt olduğu tespit edilmiştir. The lichen specimens collected from 54 localities between years April 2008 and December 2010. After determination of the collected samples, 209 lichens and 12 lichenicolous fungi (totally 221 taxa) were identified. It was reported that descriptions, ecological features of these taxa and their distributions in Turkey and the world. The lichen Protoblastenia terricola (Anzi) Lynge and the lichenicolous fungus Zwackhiomyces dispersus (J. Lahm ex Körb.) Bu çalışma G. perfoliata L. var. perfoliata, G. perfoliata L. var. araratica Kit Tan, G. pilosa Hudson ve G. osmangaziensis Ataşlar & Ocak bitki özütlerinin antimikrobiyal ve genotoksik etkilerinin araştırılması amacı ile yapılmıştır. Çalışmada kullanılan Gypsophila L. cinsine ait türler iki farklı lokaliteden toplanmıştır. Bitki özütlerinin Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Proteus vulgaris, Salmonella typhimurium, Staphylococcus epidermidis, Staphylococcus aureus bakterilerine ve Aspergillus niger, Aspergillus fumigatus, Fusarium solani funguslarına karşı antimikrobiyal etkileri araştırılmıştır. Bitkilerin petrol eteri, metanol, etil asetat ve sulu özütlerinin antimikrobiyal etkileri agar difüzyon tekniği kullanılarak taranmış, bakterilere karşı minimum inhibisyon konsantrasyonları (MİK) mikrodilüsyon tekniği ile belirlenmiştir. Bitki türlerindeki sekonder metabolitlerin incelenmesi amacıyla fitokimyasal taramalar yapılmıştır. Bitki türlerinin serbest radikal süpürücü etkisi DPPH ile yapılmıştır. Bitkilerin metanol özütü ile genotoksik aktiviteleri Allium Test metoduyla araştırılmıştır. G. pilosa'nın petrol eteri ve etil asetat ile, G. perfoliata var. perfoliata'nın metanol özütleri P. vulgaris bakterisine karşı yüksek inhibisyon zonu oluşturmuşlardır. Aynı bitkilerin 0,625 ve 1,25 mg/ml dozları düşük % anomali değerleri çıkarmışlardır. This study is carried out for the research of genotoxic and antimicrobial effects of G. perfoliata L. var. perfoliata, G. perfoliata L. var. araratica Kit Tan, G. pilosa Hudson ve G. osmangaziensis Ataşlar & Ocak plant extracts. The species of genius Gypsophila L. which are used in this study are collected from two different lokalities. The antimicrobial effects of plants extracts are researched against bacteria Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Proteus vulgaris, Salmonella typhimurium, Staphylococcus epidermidis, Staphylococcus aureus and against fungi Aspergillus niger, Aspergillus fumigatus, Fusarium solani. As a result of transactions with petroleum ether, methanol, ethyl acetate and aqueous extracts of plants obtained with material by using agar diffusion technique the minimum inhibitory concentrations (MIK) of plants against bacteria are determined with microdilution technique. Cytochemical scans are made to examine the types of plant secondary metabolites. Free radical scavenging effect of plant species are made with DPPH. Genotoxic activities of methanol extract of plants are investigated by the method of Allium Testing. Petroleum ether and ethyl acetate extracts of G. pilosa and methanol extracts of G. perfoliata var. perfoliata against P. vulgaris are formed high inhibition zone. 0,625 and 1,25 mg/ml doses of same plants has a low % anomaly values.

Araştırma, Eskişehir ilinin güneydoğusundaki Han ilçesine bağlı Yazılıkaya köyüvadisinde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışma alanından Mart 2009 - Kasım 2010 tarihleriarasında 1130 bitki örneği toplanmıştır. 74 familya, 274 cins, 478 tür ve türaltı taksontespit edilmiştir. Eğreltiler 1, Açık Tohumlular 7, Kapalı Tohumlular ise 470 taksoniçermektedir. Toplam 66 takson Türkiye için endemiktir. Endemizim oranı % 13.81'tir.Taksonların fitocoğrafik bölgelere göre dağılımları ve oranları ise; % 16.53'ü İran-Turan (79 takson), % 10.4'ü Akdeniz (48 takson), % 8.37'si Avrupa-Sibirya (40takson), % 0.63'ü Öksin (3 takson) ve % 72.59'u geniş yayılışlı veya fitocoğrafikbölgesi bilinmeyen % 64.23 (307 takson)'dir. Oluşturulan floristik listedeki KapalıTohumlu bitki örneklerinin tür üstü kategorilerinde, Angiosperm Phylogeny Group III(APG III) sistemine göre değişiklik olduğu tespit edilmiştir. APG III sistemine göreKapalı Tohumlu bitkilerin tür üstü kategorileri sınıflandırıldığında 64 familya ve 268cinsten oluştuğu görülmüştür. This research was carried out in the valley of the Yazılıkaya village belonging to Handistrict which is about 80 km south-east of the Eskişehir province. 1130 plant specimenswere collected from the area between March 2009 and November 2010. Identificationof the specimens revealed the presence of 478 taxa belonging to 274 genera in 74families. Cryptogamae are 1 taxa, Spermatophyta are 477 taxa (Gymnospermae are 7taxa and Angiospermae are 470 taxa). A total of 66 taxa determined in the research area(% 13.81) are endemic for Turkey. The distribution of phytogeographic elements are asfollows: Irano-Turanian elements are 79 taxa (%16.53), Mediterranean elements are 48taxa (% 10.4), Euro-Siberian elements are 40 taxa (% 8.37), Euxin elements are 3 taxa(% 0.63), widespread and other which their regions unrecognized are 307 taxa(%64.23). Floristic list of Angiospermae plant samples created in specimens accordingto categories above differ from Angiosperm Phylogeny Group III (APG III) system.According to APG III system, Angiospermae plant samples created in specimens abovecategories classified 64 families and 268 genera. 276

Bu çalışma G. perfoliata L. var. perfoliata, G. perfoliata L. var. araratica Kit Tan, G. pilosa Hudson ve G. osmangaziensis Ataşlar & Ocak bitki özütlerinin antimikrobiyal ve genotoksik etkilerinin araştırılması amacı ile yapılmıştır. Çalışmada kullanılan Gypsophila L. cinsine ait türler iki farklı lokaliteden toplanmıştır. Bitki özütlerinin Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Proteus vulgaris, Salmonella typhimurium, Staphylococcus epidermidis, Staphylococcus aureus bakterilerine ve Aspergillus niger, Aspergillus fumigatus, Fusarium solani funguslarına karşı antimikrobiyal etkileri araştırılmıştır. Bitkilerin petrol eteri, metanol, etil asetat ve sulu özütlerinin antimikrobiyal etkileri agar difüzyon tekniği kullanılarak taranmış, bakterilere karşı minimum inhibisyon konsantrasyonları (MİK) mikrodilüsyon tekniği ile belirlenmiştir. Bitki türlerindeki sekonder metabolitlerin incelenmesi amacıyla fitokimyasal taramalar yapılmıştır. Bitki türlerinin serbest radikal süpürücü etkisi DPPH ile yapılmıştır. Bitkilerin metanol özütü ile genotoksik aktiviteleri Allium Test metoduyla araştırılmıştır. G. pilosa'nın petrol eteri ve etil asetat ile, G. perfoliata var. perfoliata'nın metanol özütleri P. vulgaris bakterisine karşı yüksek inhibisyon zonu oluşturmuşlardır. Bu çalışma Türkiye Saponaria L. (Caryophyllaceae) cinsi üzerinde taksonomik, morfolojik ve anatomik çalışmaları kapsamaktadır. Saponaria cinsi dünya üzerindeki en zengin yayılışını 19 türle ülkemizde göstermektedir. Cins, 2 alt tür ve 1 varyetesi ile toplam 22 takson ile temsil edilmekte olup, bunlardan 9 tür, 1 alt tür ve 1 varyete endemiktir. Ülkemizde yayılış gösteren Saponaria taksonları; S. pumilio Boiss., S. glutinosa M.Bieb., S. pamphylica Boiss. & Heldr. (endemik), S. calabrica Guss., S. mesogitana Boiss., S. dalmasii Boissieu (endemik), S. officinalis L., S. orientalis L., S. viscosa C.A.Mey., S. syriaca Boiss. (endemik), S. tridentata Boiss., S. picta Boiss. (endemik), S. halophila Hedge & Hub.-Mor. (endemik), S. cerastoides Fisch. ex C.A.Mey., S. pinetorum Hedge var. pinetorum (endemik), S. pinetorum Hedge var. elatior Ekim & Hedge (endemik), S. kotschyi Boiss. Hedge, S. bargyliana Gomb., S. karapinarensis Vural & Adıgüzel (endemik) olarak sıralanmaktadır. Bu çalışmada Saponaria cinsine ait taksonlar 108 farklı lokaliteden toplanmıştır. Her lokaliteden alınan çok sayıda örnek üzerinde çalışılarak; taksonların betimleri ayrıntılı olarak belirlenmiş, bu betimlerin ışığında cins tayin anahtarı yeniden düzenlenmiş ve taksonomik problemleri tartışılmıştır. Ayrıca çalışma anatomik ve mikromorfolojik teknikler kullanılarak desteklenmiş ve cinsin bu özellikleri de ortaya çıkarılmıştır. This study consists the taxonomical, morphological and anatomical works on the genus Saponaria L. (Caryophyllaceae) of Turkey. By 19 species, Saponaria genus illustrates its the widest spread over the wholl whorld in our country. Saponaria is being represented by its 2 subspecies, 1 variety and in total 22 taxon, from those 9 species, 1 subspecies and 1 variety are endemic. By studying on many samples taken from each locality taxon descriptions are defined in detail. With the aid of these descriptions, diagnostic key of the genus is reregulated and taxonomic problems are discussed. Bu çalışmada Türkiye Velezia L. (Caryophyllaceae) cinsi revize edilmiştir. Ülkemizde doğal yayılış gösteren beş Velezia türü (V. tunicoides P.H. Davis, V. hispida Boiss., V. quadridentata Sibth. & Sm., V. pseudorigida Hub.-Mor., V. rigida L.) 60 farklı lokaliteden toplanmıştır. Her lokaliteye ait çok sayıda örnek ile çalışılarak türlerin betimleri yeniden yapılmış ve cinsin tür tayin anahtarı değiştirilmiştir. Türkiye Florası'nda varlığı bildirilen V. fasciculata Boiss. türünün ise ülkemizde yayılış göstermediği belirlenmiştir. Günümüzde salt morfolojik kriterlere dayanılarak yapılamayan sistematik çalışmalar nedeniyle bu çalışma; anatomik, mikromorfolojik ve DNA analizi teknikleri kullanılarak desteklenmiş ve cinsin filogenetik soy ağacı çıkartılarak türler arasındaki evrimsel ilişki belirlenmiştir. In this study, the genus Velezia (Caryophyllaceae) L. of Turkey has been revised. Five Velezia species, V. tunicoides P.H. Davis (endemic), V. hispida Boiss. (endemic), V. quadridentata Sibt. & Sm., V. pseudorigida Hub.-Mor. (endemic) and V. rigida L. naturally distributed in Turkey were collected from 60 localities. Descriptions of species have been revised from lots of samples of each locality and diagnostic key of the genus has been rearrenged. Although V. fasciculata is listed in Flora of Turkey, in this study we concluded that this species is not distributed in Turkey. On the other hand, since only morphological criterias are not sufficient for systematic studies, this study has been supported by anatomical, micromorphological and DNA analysis techniques and evolutional relationships between the species have been clarified by creating the phylogenetic tree of the genus. 236

Silene cinsinde tek ve çok yıllık bitkiler bulunmaktadır. Bu araştırmada toplanan S. behen, S. cretica, S. dichotoma subsp. dichotoma, S. gallica, S. apetala, S. macrodonta, S. subconica, S. lydia tek yıllık bitkilerdir. Çok yıllık olan S. italica, S. splendens, S. gigantea var. gigantea, S. sipylea, S. vulgaris var. macrocarpa, S. fabaria, S. caryophylloides subsp. echinus, S. compacta, S. squamigera subsp. squamigera' da kökler sekonder kalınlaşma gösterirken, her yıl yeniden gelişen gövdeler tek yıllık bitki özelliği göstermektedirler. Toplanan türlerin kök, gövde ve yaprak enine kesitleri ile yaprak yüzeysel kesitleri alınarak türler arasındaki benzerlik ve farklılıklar ortaya konulmuştur. SUMMARY This research İs about the systematical, morphological and anatomical properties of 17 Silene L. species collected from 1 14 localities of İzmir city between 2002 and 2003. Species collected from the region are S. italica (L.) Pers., S. splendens Boiss., S. gigantea L. var. gigantea, S. sipylea O. Schwarz, S. vulgaris (Moench) Garcke var. macrocarpa (Turrill) Coode & Cullen, S.fabaria (L.) Sibth. & Sm., S. caryophylloides (Poiret) Otth subsp. echinus (Boiss. & Heldr.) Coode & Cullen, S. compacta Fischer, S. behen L., S. cretica L., S. squamigera Boiss. subsp. squamigera, S. dichotoma Ehrh. subsp. dichotoma, S. gallica L., S. apetala Willd., S. macrodonta Boiss., S. subconica Friv., S. lydia Boiss. Annual and perennial species are present in Silene L. genus. Annual species collected for this research are S. behen, S. cretica, S. dichotoma subsp. dichotoma, S. gallica, S. apetala, S. macrodonta, S. subconica, S. lydia. In perennial species collected from the region, S. italica, S. splendens, S. gigantea var. gigantea, S. sipylea, S. vulgaris var. macrocarpa, S.fabaria, S. caryophylloides subsp. echinus, S. compacta, S. squamigera subsp. squamigera. For the perennial taxa, roots have features of a perennial plant while stems growing up in every year have features of an annual plant. In anatomical studies; cross sections are taken from roots, stems and leaves of collected plants. Transversal sections are also taken from leaves. By investigating these sections, similarities and differences between species are reported in this research. 120
