SUMMARY OBJECTIVE: The aim of our study was to compare the traditional radial artery, distal radial artery, and transfemoral artery, which are vascular access sites for coronary angiography, in terms of pain level using the visual analog scale. METHODS: Between April 2021 and May 2022, consecutive patients from three centers were included in our study. A total of 540 patients, 180 from each of the traditional radial artery, distal radial artery , and transfemoral artery groups, were included. The visual analog scale was applied to the patients as soon as they were taken to bed. RESULTS: When the visual analog scale was compared between the groups, it was found to be significantly different (transfemoral artery: 2.7±1.6, traditional radial artery: 3.9±1.9, and distal radial artery: 4.9±2.1, respectively, p29.8 kg/m2 predicted severe pain with 72.5% sensitivity and 73.2% specificity [(area under the curve: 0.770, 95%CI: 0.724–0.815, p

A beautiful smile is a window to society and an important factor for a healthy life. It also creates a positive self-image for the personality. Tooth loss is a very traumatic and distressing experience psychologically. This situation is accepted as a serious event that creates important psychological problems in human life. Patients experience both physical and emotional deprivation following the loss of one or more teeth, which reduces their quality of life. The aim of this study was to investigate the patient's desire, necessity and awareness for the restoration of missing teeth. In the study, a questionnaire including questions about the physical, emotional and aesthetic effects of edentulism was applied to 200 patients of both sexes. The collected data were interpreted together with their reasons. In our analysis, there were physical and emotional complaints related to missing teeth in most of our patients. However, those with missing teeth in the anterior region showed higher psychological and social disability scores, while those with missing teeth in the posterior region showed higher physical complaints and functional deficit scores. As a result, anterior tooth loss has a far-reaching impact on both emotional and overall dental health. Anterior tooth restoration should be given priority when planning treatment. Therefore, when evaluating the restoration of missing teeth during the examination, the position of these missing teeth in the mouth should also be taken into account.

Tarım ürünleri, dünyadaki canlıların beslenme ihtiyaçlarının karşılanması bakımından oldukça önemlidir. Dünya nüfusundaki hızlı artış tarımsal ürünlerde verimliğin arttırılmasını zorunlu hale getirmektedir. Sınırlı tarım alanlarında ürün verimliliğinin sağlanabilmesi bitkilerde görülebilecek hastalıklarının etkili bir şekilde ve zamanında tespiti oldukça önemlidir. Özellikle bazı meyve ağaçlarının kısa ömürlü olması bu ağaçlardaki hastalıkların doğru, zamanında ve hızlı bir şekilde tespitini daha önemli hale getirmektedir. Son zamanlarda görüntü işlemede yaygın olarak kullanılan derin öğrenme, tarımsal faaliyetlerde etkili uygulamalar sunmaktadır. Bu çalışmada, şeftali ağacı hastalıklarının tespiti için evrişimli sinir ağ yöntemi önerilmiştir. Önerilen yöntemde, daha önceden eğitilmiş AlexNet modeli ile şeftali ağaçlarında görülen monilya ve koşnili hastalık tespiti yapılmıştır. Deneysel çalışmalarda, TRB1 bölgesinden alınan gerçek hastalık görüntülerinden oluşan veri seti ile gerçekleştirildi. Yapılan deneysel çalışmalarda %99,30 doğruluk oranında hastalık tespiti yapılmıştır. Mevcut çalışmalardan %1,44 daha yüksek doğruluk oranına sağlandı., Agricultural products are very important in meeting the nutritional needs of living creatures in the world. The rapid increase in the world population makes it necessary to increase the productivity in agricultural products. It is very important to ensure product productivity in limited agricultural areas and to detect diseases that can be seen in plants effectively and on time. Especially the short life of some fruit trees makes it more important to detect the diseases in these trees accurately, on time and quickly. Deep learning, which has been widely used in image processing recently, offers effective applications in agricultural activities. In this study, convolutional neural network method is proposed to detect peach tree diseases. In the proposed method, the detection of the disease with monilya laxa and sphaerolecanium prunastri in peach trees was made with the previously trained AlexNet model. Experimental studies were carried out with a dataset consisting of real disease images taken from the TRB1 region. In experimental studies, the disease was detected with an accuracy of 99.30%. Achieved 1.44% higher accuracy than existing studies.

Yaşlılıkta insan vücudundaki biyolojik ve fizyolojik değişiklikler ile birlikte yaşlılar şıkça düşmeye maruz kalmaktadırlar. Bu durum yaşlıların yaralanmalarına neden olmaktadır. Bu yaralanmaların tedavi süreçleri uzamakta ve yaşlıların yaşam kalitelerini de olumsuz etkilemektedir. Ayrıca yaralanmalar ülkelerin sağlık harcamalarında önemli oranda artışa neden olmaktadır. Bu sorunların giderilmesi için yaşlı düşmelerinin tespiti büyük önem arz etmektedir. Bu amaçla tez çalışmasında, derinlik kamerası ile yaşlılarda düşme tespiti için üç farklı yöntem önerilmiş ve bir veri seti oluşturulmuştur;1.Derinlik görüntülerinden düşme tespitinin yapılabilmesini sağlayacak hareket ve duruş tabanlı şekil özniteliklerini tanımlayabilmek için Silüet Yönelim Hacim (SYH) öznitelik çıkarım yöntemi önerilmiştir. SDU-Fall veri seti ile gerçekleştirilen uygulamalarda düşme tespitinde %91,89 ve eylem tanımada %89,63 oranında başarım sağlanmıştır.2.Derinlik görüntülerindeki yürüme, oturma ve uzanma gibi günlük eylemlerden, düşmenin ayırt edilebilirliğini geliştirmek için özniteliklerin kodlanmasında Fisher Vektör (FV) kodlama yöntemi önerilmiştir. Önerilen yöntemin SDUFall veri seti ile gerçekleştirilen uygulamalarda düşme tespitinde %88,83 başarımı sağlanmıştır.3.Üç Boyutlu (3B) iskelet eklem verisinin iki ayrı İki Boyutlu (2B) eklem verisine indirgenmesine dayalı öznitelik çıkarım algoritması önerilmiştir. FUKinect-Fall veri seti ile gerçekleştirilen uygulamalarda düşme tespitinde %97,08 başarım elde edilmiştir.4.Kinect kamera kullanılarak 21 deneğin katılımı ile yürüme, eğilme, oturma, çömelme, uzanma ve düşme eylemlerinin simüle edildiği 1008 adet derinlik ve iskelet eklem verilerini içeren FUKinect-Fall veri seti oluşturulmuştur.Çalışmalarda elde edilen sonuçlar literatürdeki benzer çalışma sonuçları ile karşılaştırılarak önerilen yöntemlerin başarımı gösterilmiştir. The elderly people are frequently exposed to falls due to biological and physiological changes in the human body in older ages. This situation causes injuries in elderly people. Treatment processes are prolonged and adversely affects the life quality of old people. Injuries also cause substantial increase in the country's health expenditures. Detection of the elderly falls is of great importance in order to solve these problems. For this purpose, in thesis study three different methods are proposed in order to detect fall in elderly people with depth camera and a data set is formed. 1.Silhouette Orientation Volumes (SOV) feature extraction method is proposed in order to define motion and stance based shape features which enable fall detection from depth images. In applications carried out with SDU-Fall data set, 91.89% success rate in fall detection and 89.63% success rate in motion detection are obtained. 2.For coding the features Fisher Vector (FV) coding method is suggested in order to develop the distinguishability of fall from daily activities such as walking, sitting and lying in depth images. In applications performed with the proposed method and SDU-Fall data set, 88.83% success rate in fall detection is achieved.3.Feature extraction algorithm based on reducing three dimensional (3D) skeleton joint data to two separate two dimensional (2D) skeleton joint data is proposed. 97.08% success in fall detection is obtained in applications with FUKinect-Fall data set.4.FUKinect-Fall dataset which contains 1008 depth and skeleton joint data that simulate walking, bending, sitting, squatting, lying and falling actions of 21 subjects by using Kinect camera is formed. By comparing the results obtained from studies with the results of similar studies in the literature, the success of the proposed methods is presented. 118

Objective: The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of some morphological features of the mandible and mandibular permanent molars on impaction of mandibular third molars with panoramic measurements in a Turkish patient group. Study design: Standardized panoramic radiography variables compiled from 140 patients retrospectively were eva- luated. Predictive variables included mesio-distal crown width and inclination of the mandibular molars, vertical and horizontal surface dimension between distal surface of the lower second molar tooth and anterior surface of its ramus, length and width of the mandible ramus and corpus, angle of the mandible gonion, the number of the lower third molar roots, and angulations of roots of the lower third molars. Results and Conclusions: According to the data obtained in this study, the vertical height of the anterior border of the ramus, length of the posterior basal corpus, mesio-distal diameters of the first, second and the third molars, 1/3 root angle of the third molar, number of third molar roots, inclination of the first molar to increase, vertical height of the posterior border of the ramus, vertical height of alveolar crest, and height and the width of the retro-molar space to decrease are all in direct proportion to the possibility of impaction of the third molar.

ÖZET Yüksek Lisans Tezi GÜÇ DÖNÜŞTÜRÜCÜLERDE GÜÇ KATSAYISININ DÜZELTİLMESİ Muzaffer ASLAN Fırat Üniversitesi Fen Bilimleri Enstitüsü Elektronik ve Bilgisayar Eğitimi Anabilim Dalı Sayfa : 80; 2004 Elektrik sistemlerinde, gücün kontrol edilme yöntemlerinden biri de bir gerilim seviyesinden başka bir gerilim seviyesine güç dönüştürme işlemidir. Alternatif akımla çalışan lineer güç kaynaklarında bu işlem transformatörler yardımıyla yapılmaktadır. Fakat transformatörler ile dc-dc güç dönüşümü mümkün değildir. Ayrıca lineer güç kaynaklarında belli bir güç seviyesinden sonra verim de azalmaktadır. Bu sebeple artık günümüzde anahtarlamah güç kaynaklarının kullanımı daha çok tercih edilmektedir. Bu amaç ile dc-dc güç dönüşümü sağlayan anahtarlama modlu dc-dc konvertörler ve bu konvertörlerin kontrol yöntemleri incelenmiştir. Bu tezde, konvertörler gerçekleştirdiği işlevler açısından beş grupta incelenmiş ve özellikle temel konvertör devrelerinden düşürücü ve yükseltici tip konvertörlerin kayma mod kontrolü için gerekli matematiksel modelleri elde edilerek Matlab/Simulink paket programı kullanılarak simülasyonlan yapılmıştır. Dc-dc konvertörlerin yaygın kullanımı sonucunda bir takım problemlerin olduğu ortaya çıkmıştır. Bu problemlerin en önemli olanı hat akımı ve gerilimi arasında faz farkının oluşması şeklinde tanımlanan güç katsay ısıdır. Bu amaçla aktif çözüm yöntemleri ile güç katsayısının düzeltilmesi teknikleri araştırılmış ve bu tekniklerden PI, Bulanık Mantık ve Kayma Mod kontrol ile güç katsayısının düzeltilmesinin ayrı ayrı simülasyonlan yapılarak sîmülasyon sonuçlan verilmiştir. This is achieved using transformers in ac power conversion and linear power supplies. However, transformers can not be used in dc-dc power conversion. Additionally, the efficiency becomes worse after a certain level of power in linear power supplies. For this reason switched mode power supplies are preferred. Thus in this thesis the switch mode dc-dc converters and their control are examined. The Sliding Mode technique of the Variable Structure Control is used to control the dc- dc converters. For this, the mathematical model of the buck and boost converter are obtained. The simulation of the sliding mode controlled buck and boost converters are done using Matiab/Simulink simulation programme. After widespread use of ac-dc converters a few problems took attention of the researchers. The one of the most important problem is the phase difference between the input voltage and input current which is the power factor and need to be unity. Thus in the last chapters of this thesis, the active power factor correction techniques are examined and PI, Fuzzy Logic and Sliding Mode controlled power factor correction is applied to a boost converter and simulation results are presented.
