The intention of this manuscript is to formulate a GA-PIDC for monitoring the Blood Glucose (BG) in TIDM patients. In this strategy, the conventional PIDC is redesigned by use of the Genetic Algorithm (GA) concept to upgrade the control accomplishment. The endorsement of the upgraded control accomplishment of GA-PIDC is set up by comparative outcome examination with other well-known control strategies. The overall results clearly uncover the better execution of the prescribed methodology to screen the TIDM elements inside a consistent territory concerning the robustness, exactness and stability.

The low-frequency system oscillation is inherently present in a power system network. This oscillation arises due to slow and gradual changes of load and power demand. The persistence of these oscillations may seize power flow and decreases the terminal voltage in the synchronous generator of the power systems. The required terminal voltage is improved by strengthening the field voltage in AVR system of the exciter in the synchronous generator by minimizing the oscillations. This paper presents the control design of AVR in SMIB power system using an integral type LQR control technique with adjusting the state weighting matrix and control the weighting matrix simultaneously. The terminal voltage of the generator using integral type LQR technique has been compared with Z-N tuned PID and DE optimized PID controller in AVR system. This paperwork is carried out in MATLAB platform.

The small signal oscillatory instability is improved by adding sufficient damping torque for electromechanical modes of oscillations. The Heffron-Philips (HP) model which is equivalent linearization model of single machine infinite bus (SMIB) is considered for small signal stability. The power system stabilizer (PSS) with automatic voltage regulator (AVR) in synchronous generator produces sufficient damping torque and synchronizing torque so as to destabilize the small signal instability during small change in system variables. This paper presents the control design of PD based PSS which supplements the damping torque and reduces the transient oscillations by reducing setting time at constant damping ratio in system response. The controller parameters are tuned with Genetic Algorithm (GA) so as to minimize the speed deviation as objective function. The effectiveness of the controller is verified through time domain analysis at different loading conditions. The whole work is carried out under MATLAB environment platform.
