English language teaching (ELT) in Islamic boarding schools in Indonesia, commonly known as "pesantren," presents a unique context that requires a tailored pedagogical approach. This study aimed to explore the application of context-responsive pedagogy in ELT within the unique context of Islamic boarding schools in Indonesia. This qualitative study employed semistructured interviews and classroom observation as data generation methods to gain insights into the experiences and perspectives of English language teachers regarding the implementation of context-responsive pedagogy in English language instruction. The findings revealed the importance of understanding learner needs, incorporating authentic materials, promoting cultural sensitivity, and effective use of technology in ELT practices in Islamic boarding school contexts. This study delves into how English language teachers navigated and negotiated their practices with the sociocultural and religious values entrenched in this institution. It also highlighted the challenges English language teachers in this school context faced in the implementation of context-responsive pedagogy. Eventually, this research provides valuable insights for ELT practitioners, policymakers, and researchers interested in incorporating context-specific pedagogy to optimize ELT in Islamic boarding schools and similar educational contexts.

The integration of technology into learning assessment activities makes it easy for educators to carry out online assessments which provide convenience for students and an effective assessment. The purpose of this research is to find out the response of students in the Biology Education Study Program towards online assessment platforms for Biology materials and learning. This typed of researched was quantitative descriptive used a surveyed method which had been carried out in the odd semester of 2021/2022 with the researched subjects being active students of Biology Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Muhammadiyah Malang, a total of 114 students. The data collection technique used a surveyed method used Google Form and the data was analyzed descriptively. The results of the studied showed that of the 5 assessment platforms used in the researched, Quizizz and Google Form platforms was the preferred assessment platforms by students The results of this study indicate that in the future we need a product that can meet the needs of the assessment and according to the needs of the respondents. This product corresponds to the advantages and disadvantages of each online assessment platform. Thus, creating a more effective and efficient online assessment platform.

This article aims to reveal the practice of reciting Sab’u al-Munjiyat carried out at Pondok Pesantren Tarbiyatul Mu’allimin al-Islamiyah (TMI) Putri al-Amien Prenduan, Sumenep, Madura. In daily routines, the students are required to participate in the recitation of Sab’u al-Munjiyat after the congregational Asr prayer. Sab’u al-Munjiyat consists of seven selected surahs from the Qur'an: Surah Al-Sajdah, Yasin, Al-Dukhan, Al-Waqi'ah, Al-Mulk, Al-Insan, and Al-Buruj. This research is a field study and uses a qualitative research method. Data collection was performed through observation, interviews, and document analysis. Data analysis was conducted using the anthropological approach of Heddy Shri Ahimsa-Putra. The findings indicate that the tradition of reciting Sab’u al-Munjiyat at Pondok Pesantren TMI al-Amien Prenduan originated from an innovation by the student organization (ISTAMA), which is based on the transmission of prophetic traditions that can still be preserved today. This is supported by numerous hadiths that describe the virtues of reciting these surahs. The structure of the recitation tradition at Pondok Pesantren TMI Putri al-Amien Prenduan can be classified into two structures: the subject structure and the structure of the Sab’u al-Munjiyat recitation. The function of this recitation tradition is to understand and seek the benefits of these seven chosen surahs, to seek safety, and to contribute to the development of Qur’anic character among the students.

Due to the urgency of implementing immediate therapy, acute stroke necessitates prompt diagnosis. The current gold standards for vascular imaging in stroke include computed tomography angiography (CTA), digital subtraction angiography (DSA) and magnetic resonance angiography (MRA). However, the contrast agents used in these methods can be costly and pose risks for patients with renal impairment or allergies. The aim of this paper is to provide a comprehensive overview of current MRI techniques and sequences for evaluating ischemic stroke, emphasizing the importance of non-contrast options and their clinical implications for radiologists in the diagnosis and management of ischemic stroke. Standard MRI sequences—such as T1-weighted imaging (T1WI), T2-weighted imaging (T2WI), fluid-attenuated inversion recovery (FLAIR), diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI), DWI-FLAIR mismatch, and apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC)—are essential for determining infarct location, volume, and age. Additionally, incorporating susceptibility-weighted imaging (SWI) sequence aids in identifying signs of hemorrhagic transformation within the infarcted region. Advanced techniques like arterial spin labeling (ASL) can serve as a non-contrast alternative for mapping cerebral blood flow (CBF) and allowing for comparison between infarcted and healthy brain areas. Adding ASL to the routine sequence allows ASL-DWI mismatch analysis that is useful for quantifying salvageable tissue volume and facilitate timely recanalization, while time-of-flight (TOF) MRA and magnetic resonance venography (MRV) help assess venous thrombosis, stenosis, or arterial occlusions. Finally, MR spectroscopy can provide insights into critical brain metabolites, including N-acetylaspartate (NAA), and lactate (Lac) to determine patient prognosis. Current MRI technology provides a myriad of sequence options for the comprehensive evaluation of ischemic stroke without the need for contrast material. A thorough understanding of the advantages and limitations of each sequence is crucial for its optimal implementation in diagnosis and treatment.Keywords: non-contrast MRI, ischemic stroke, MRI sequences

The hospitality industry faces significant challenges in achieving sustainable performance, particularly amidst a rapidly changing market and environmental uncertainties. Unfortunately, previous studies have paid limited attention to this specific aspect of performance. This study explores the antecedents – organizational resilience, dynamic capabilities, agile leadership, and organizational ambidexterity – that contribute to sustainable performance among managers in this sector. A self-administered electronic questionnaire was used to collect primary data from 210 hotel managers at various levels in Makassar, Indonesia, following a purposive sampling approach. The relationships were analyzed using partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 4.0. The results indicate that organizational resilience and agile leadership significantly influence sustainable performance, while dynamic capability and organizational ambidexterity do not show a significant impact. Furthermore, both organizational resilience and dynamic capability are significant to organizational ambidexterity, and they also significantly contribute to agile leadership. These findings illuminate the critical determinants affecting sustainable performance in the hospitality sector, providing valuable insights for practitioners and policymakers aiming to enhance sustainability practices in the industry.

Abstract Suspensions containing microencapsulated phase change materials (MPCMs) play a crucial role in thermal energy storage (TES) systems and have applications in building materials, textiles, and cooling systems. This study focuses on accurately predicting the dynamic viscosity, a critical thermophysical property, of suspensions containing MPCMs and MXene particles using Gaussian process regression (GPR). Twelve hyperparameters (HPs) of GPR are analyzed separately and classified into three groups based on their importance. Three metaheuristic algorithms, namely genetic algorithm (GA), particle swarm optimization (PSO), and marine predators algorithm (MPA), are employed to optimize HPs. Optimizing the four most significant hyperparameters (covariance function, basis function, standardization, and sigma) within the first group using any of the three metaheuristic algorithms resulted in excellent outcomes. All algorithms achieved a reasonable R-value (0.9983), demonstrating their effectiveness in this context. The second group explored the impact of including additional, moderate-significant HPs, such as the fit method, predict method and optimizer. While the resulting models showed some improvement over the first group, the PSO-based model within this group exhibited the most noteworthy enhancement, achieving a higher R-value (0.99834). Finally, the third group was analyzed to examine the potential interactions between all twelve HPs. This comprehensive approach, employing the GA, yielded an optimized GPR model with the highest level of target compliance, reflected by an impressive R-value of 0.999224. The developed models are a cost-effective and efficient solution to reduce laboratory costs for various systems, from TES to thermal management.

Since the building industry has grown to be a significant energy user, offering practical solutions can aid in addressing this significant problem. Windows are among the most crucial architectural elements since they let in the majority of the natural light that enters the structure. On the one hand, improper window and associated component design causes the space to overheat and consume more energy; on the other hand, it compromises the inhabitants of the building's thermal and visual comfort. This research presents a novel method for multi-objective optimization of control parameters for smart shade curtains and architectural standards. By using this suggested method, building energy consumption is significantly reduced and thermal and visual comfort are improved. EnergyPlus software is used to run simulations about energy. Subsequently, JEPLUS software has considered 28 design aspects, such as hour groove angle, building cover requirements, material dimensions and specifications, control techniques and adjustment points, and shading position and direction. These simulations are run for nine cities with varying climates in four distinct geographic orientations throughout the year. The program JEPLUS + EA is utilized for data improvement. To extract the ideal points on the Pareto front, the data is optimized using the NSGA-II algorithm. The optimization findings indicate that the inner curtain outperforms the outside curtain. Additionally, the visual comfort improves with a narrower slat angle (SA), but the illumination requires more power. The multi-objective optimization of the controlled blind characteristics yielded results that, depending on the building's geographical orientation, reduced the building's overall energy consumption by 4–30 % annually while improving thermal and visual comfort, with ranges of 64–11 % and 60–81 %, respectively.

Through molecular dynamics simulations, this study examined the interactions between water and cross-linked hydrogels, with a particular emphasis on the effect of cefazolin drug loading. The swelling percentage, ultimate strength, Young's modulus, heat flux, and thermal conductivity of polyacrylamide-based hydrogels were evaluated in relation to their respective drug concentrations (0 %, 3 %, 5 %, 15 %, and 30 %). The study results show that after 10 ns, the kinetic energy and total energy of atomic specimens stabilized at values of 12,532 and 12,488 kcal/mol, respectively. As the drug ratio increased from 0 to 15 %, the volume of polyacrylamide decreased from 342,722 to 302,583 ų, with further increased from 15 to 30 % reducing the volume to 298,562 ų due to pore and interatomic space closure by the drug. As the drug ratio increased from 0 to 3 %, the ultimate strength of the simulated structure slightly decreased from 0.0333 to 0.0332 MPa, then increased to 0.0333 MPa at a 5 % drug ratio, and remained constant beyond that. The heat flux value decreased from 1583 to 1563 W/m2 with a drug ratio increase from 0 to 3 %, but then increased from 1563 to 1585 W/m2 as the drug ratio further increased to 30 %. Increasing the drug ratio had no effect on the thermal properties of simulated structure, and the thermal conductivity remained constant at 0.57 W/m·K with increasing cefazolin dosage.

Polycrystalline materials are essential in engineering due to their ability to withstand various forces, heat, and environmental conditions. The arrangement of atoms within these crystals significantly affects their mechanical properties. This study used molecular dynamics simulations to explore how initial pressure affects the mechanical resilience of aluminum polycrystals. Aluminum composite materials, known for their strength, flexibility, and environmental sustainability, are the focus of this investigation. We particularly investigated stress-strain reactions at 1, 2, and 3 bar initial pressures. Reduced free volume causes atomic migration to be hampered as pressure increases, therefore affecting mean square displacement and diffusion coefficient. The results show that ultimate strength and Young's modulus of the polycrystalline samples were 30 and 6.64 GPa at 1 bar pressure. Moreover, the results demonstrated a notable decrease in mechanical performance by increasing pressure; the ultimate strength and Young's modulus of the polycrystalline samples diminished to 5.66 GPa and 22.43 GPa, respectively, at 3 bar. Furthermore, the heat flux increased by rising initial pressure in the Al-polycrystalline sample due to the compression of material that reduced atomic distances. This improved atomic arrangement facilitated more efficient heat transfer. These insights are essential for engineering applications, as they establish a foundation for the production of aluminum components that maintain structural integrity in the face of extreme conditions.

RGO/Curcumin/C60 has the potential to increase the absorption of heat energy. Tests have shown that without microwave induction treatment produces low activation energy due to its low absorption capacity of the electric field. As a result, the reaction rate is low and the level of molecular sensitivity is low. Inducing microwave to molecules during the 30 seconds, 60 seconds, and 90 seconds is a method of resetting the specific effective controlled compression ratio. This method effectively reduces the magnitude of the polarization value, at the same time, allowing for an increase in charge potential and electric field. Consequently, the specific-effective activation energy (α) depends on the activation energy (Ea′) and the relative energy (Ea′) of the compressed field. A quantum approach is used to explain the increase in reaction rates at the intersection of interaction energies and its influence on the mechanisms of entropy, coulomb energy, and Gibbs free energy.

In an era where artificial intelligence (AI) is reshaping educational paradigms, this study explores AI-based chatbot adoption in higher education among students and educators. Employing a Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) approach, the research focuses on developing and validating a comprehensive model to understand the multifaceted factors impacting the acceptance and use of these chatbots. The methodology integrates an extensive literature review, construction of a theoretical model, administration of a detailed questionnaire to a representative sample from the higher education sector, coupled with advanced SEM techniques for data analysis and interpretation. The SEM analysis validates the model's robustness and highlights the relationships between several key factors affecting users' perspectives and chatbots adoption. Results reveal a predominantly positive perception towards AI-chatbots among both students and educators, underscoring the potential to substantially enrich their educational journey. However, it also uncovers critical concerns pertaining to trust, privacy, response bias, and information accuracy. Moreover, the study offers valuable insights into how moderators such as technological proficiency, user roles, and gender influence the adoption model relationships. This emphasizes the need for customizing AI-chatbots deployment to meet the diverse needs of users effectively. Contributing a robust framework for understanding users' perceptions towards AI-chatbots and their adoption patterns, this study offers actionable insights for educational leaders, policymakers, and technology developers. It also lays the groundwork for future research, including longitudinal studies to evaluate the long-term impact of these technologies, investigations into their effect on learning outcomes, and explorations of the ethical and privacy considerations involved.

This study introduces an innovative scheduling tool for dynamic identical parallel machine environments, leveraging a non-preemptive overlapping load adjustment methodology. Central to this tool is a dual-phase proactive-reactive dynamic scheduling mechanism. Initially, in the proactive phase, the tool utilizes an earliest loading strategy to map out a range of viable scheduling alternatives, capitalizing on job slack times without cementing any schedules prematurely. This is followed by a reactive phase, wherein the tool dynamically adjusts to real-time disturbances via a user-controlled module, thereby crafting adaptable schedules while ensuring continuous feasibility. Enhanced by real-time graphical displays, the tool offers end-users a holistic view of the scheduling process and the implications of unexpected disruptions, aiding in informed decision-making. Extensive computational experiments encompassing 600 instances of varying sizes - small, medium, and large - underscore the tool’s efficiency. These experiments reveal the generation of a wide spectrum of scheduling alternatives, ranging on average from 1676 for small-sized instances to as many as 298,210 for large-sized ones. Notably, the average maximum completion time (Cmax) closely mirrors the results obtained from the Cplex optimizer, with an average deviation of merely 1.07%, 0.48%, and 12.23% for small, medium, and large instances, respectively. Moreover, despite the creation of up to 300,000 potential scheduling solutions for larger instances, the tool consistently yields a low average number of tardy jobs; 1.28, 1.87, and 2.07 for the respective problem sizes, which clearly highlights its effectiveness. The outcomes conclusively demonstrate the tool’s flexibility and efficiency, offering end-users a multitude of superior scheduling options in the presence of unforeseen disruptions that characterize today’s operating environment.

In the current research, the mixed convection heat transfer in a rectangular chamber with walls with sinusoidal oscillations and mechanical vibrations has been investigated. Mechanical vibrations on the chamber, sinusoidal oscillations of the hot wall and flow due to buoyancy are considered. The finite volume method is utilized for simulation. The efficacy of changes in governing parameters, such as frequency, oscillation amplitude, Ra, chamber length to width ratio, change of fluid type on Nu has been investigated. The results indicate that there is an optimal ratio of chamber dimensions that has the maximum Nu in the fixed Ra, and this ratio depends on the type of fluid. In the presence of sinusoidal oscillations of the hot wall and transverse mechanical vibrations of the cylinder, it increases the heat transfer by about 96 % and 75 %, respectively, compared to the state without vibration. The increase in the frequency and amplitude of oscillations in the case where the hot wall oscillates sinusoidally is negligible on the Nusselt number. Increasing the frequency and amplitude of oscillations of transverse vibrations of the chamber has a significant efficacy on Nu, and the amplitude of oscillations has a greater efficacy than the frequency of oscillations on heat transfer. Based on the available data and using artificial intelligence, GMDH, Nu has been estimated. The results indicate that this modeling has been able to estimate the Nusselt number with good accuracy with R2=0.948.

The use of microscale heat generating or heat transfer equipment with higher capacity and smaller dimensions requires more accurate management and better disposal of their produced heat. This makes the necessity of designing and manufacturing superconductors completely clear. In the meantime, the nano-grooved flat plate heat pipes (FPHP) have gained the industry's attention. Due to the provision of the conditions for manufacturing devices on a micro scale, it is possible to integrate this type of heat pipe with other microscale devices. In the meantime, understanding their behavior on small scales requires more studies. In this paper, the effect of using barriers to improve the thermal performance of a nano FPHP (1050 × 220 × 95 Å) is evaluated. Simulations are performed on a molecular scale through molecular dynamics (MD) simulations using LAMMPS® software. Platinum (Pt), copper (Cu), and aluminum (Al) are used for HP's body. In addition, argon (Ar), water (H2O), and ethanol (EtOH) are used as working fluids. The results show that increasing the number of barriers leads to improved thermal performance. Different cases include different teeth called barriers augmented inside HP are simulated. The combination of Cu-EtOH showed the best thermal performance (about 18 % better than other cases). Cubical barriers have more heat flux improvement than conical ones (from 3.5 % up to about 10.7 %). Among the three fluids used, EtOH leads to a better heat flux (about 6 % for Pt and up to 15 % for Cu). Using 24 barriers, a very favorable result of 1992 W/cm2 heat flux is achieved. In this case, the minimum heat flux is obtained by using Pt and Ar and is 1609 W/cm2. Using Ar and the cub shape barriers, the highest mass transfer rates for Pt, Cu, and Al are about 35.2 %, 38.9 %, and 38 %, respectively.

This paper investigated the moderating effect of Islamic financial education on the relationship between information management and customer perception regarding the increase in investments at Bank Syariah Indonesia, using conventional sampling techniques for data collection from respondents in Yogyakarta. A closed questionnaire comprising 35 items was prepared and tested before the commencement of the study. Path analysis in PLS was utilized as the primary tool to analyze the 141 respondents who completed the survey. The research revealed that the moderating factors have both direct and indirect moderation effects on customer financial investments in Bank Syariah Indonesia, indicating that information management and customer perception are crucial factors in enhancing customer investments. Accordingly, the study was limited to the collection of quantitative data using a semi-structured questionnaire from Yogyakarta, and there is an opportunity to test these findings in other major cities, including those in other developing countries. From a practical perspective, this study elucidates that Islamic financial education plays a significant role in increasing the value of customer investments in Bank Syariah Indonesia, thereby potentially expanding the market share of Islamic banks in Indonesia.

Indonesia is an archipelagic country with ethnic and linguistic diversity. Through the Sumpah Pemuda (Youth Pledge), the Indonesian people agreed on Indonesian as a unified language to facilitate communication between people who have different local languages. However, in the current era of globalization, the existence of the Indonesian language is starting to be eroded. Many foreign languages are preferred in public spaces. Even though this is not in line with the mandate of the Indonesian constitution. Therefore, strengthening efforts are needed through the synergy of the younger generation in prioritizing the Indonesian language in public spaces through community service activities. This activity was carried out targeting the younger generation of 11th-grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Sungai Raya in Kubu Raya Regency as many as 30 people, through socio-political studies that focus on regulations and synergy. The forms of activity used in implementing this activity are in the form of giving a pre-test, giving material and face-to-face discussions accompanied by practice, and giving a post-test. The result of this activity is an increased understanding of the younger generation regarding the constitutional mandate of prioritizing the Indonesian language in public spaces through synergy between the younger generation and synergy between related actors such as the government, business sector, media, and academics.

The use of vegetable oil-based cutting fluids under minimum quantity lubrication (MQL) lubrication has been suggested as a potential alternative. The cutting fluid is conveyed in the form of fine droplets with compressed air delivered precisely to the cutting zone. This study aims to determine the effect of variations of rubber seed oil and coconut oil as a cutting fluid on the surface roughness of the machining process using the MQL method. Researchers used the parameters of cutting fluid flow rate of 120 ml/hour and 180 ml/hour, cutting speed of 500 rpm, feed rate of 0.011 mm/rev, depth of cut of 0.5 mm with variations of coconut oil 10%, 20%, 30%. The results showed that the lowest surface roughness value was at a flow rate of 180 ml/hour with a 30% variation of 0.886 µm, while the highest surface roughness value was at a flow rate of 120 ml/hour with a 10% variation of 1.164 µm, meaning that the greater the flow rate and variation cutting fluid results in a decrease in surface roughness, this is due to the influence of the addition of coconut oil, the more coconut oil is added, the surface roughness value decreases. The surface roughness value decreases as the viscosity decreases, because the viscosity of coconut oil is lower than that of rubber seed oil, so that the flow rate of the cutting fluid is able to work optimally to lubricate the contact area.

Medical facilities are exposed to substantial health and safety hazards as a result of the existence of perilous substances such as germs, viruses, and mold. The integration of drug use courses in medical education is hindered by constraints such as time limitations, a scarcity of well-informed personnel, and insufficient institutional backing. In order to mitigate these dangers, a comprehensive assessment of the risks, effective instruction, and stringent procedures are required. Effective waste management systems and precise detection of influent are crucial. Activated carbon, a highly porous material, is extensively utilized as an adsorbent in several industrial applications. Bamboo charcoal, a desirable lignocellulosic substance, is employed in the manufacturing process of activated carbon. The objective of the study was to generate and examine activated carbons obtained from Gigantochloas Apus (GA) through the utilization of sodium hydroxide (NaOH) and sodium chloride (NaCl) activation methods. The study determined that was the most efficient activating agent for achieving ideal ash content characteristics, resulting in the lowest ash percentage of 6.21%. The acidity of medical liquid waste is increased and its adsorption duration is extended by activating GA with NaCl and NaOH.

Learning Arabic grammar and the Kitab Kuning is the main focus of madrasah diniyah and Islamic boarding school education. Hence, adapting strategies, methods, and media for learning materials is Asatidz's (teachers) main concern in motivating students' interest in participating in learning at these two institutions. The research used a quasi-experimental design to describe, analyze, and describe (1) the application of the Ibtida’i method and (2) Asatidz's perception of the application of the Ibtida’i method in Madrasah Diniyah throughout Jepara district in learning Arabic grammar and turats. This research results show that 1) the procedures and applications of the Ibtida’i method are simultaneous between mastery of grammatical rules and application in grammatical learning and the meaning of the turats. 2) Asatidz's perception of the application of the Ibtida’i method shows that a) the majority of asatidz always teach Arabic grammar (nahwu and shorof) so that it becomes their field of expertise, b) the majority of asztidz have sufficiently mastered the stages of learning using the Ibtida’i method, c) the majority of asatidz have sufficiently mastered the characteristics of the Ibtida’i method, d) the majority of asatidz are consistent in applying the Ibtida’i method, e) the majority of asatidz are quite motivated to apply the Ibtida’i method in learning Arabic Grammatical, f) the majority of students are quite enthusiastic and motivated in learning Arabic Grammatical using the Ibtida’i method on the score, g) learning Arabic Grammatical using the Ibtida’i method makes a positive contribution to achieving targets in learning Arabic Grammatical and the book of turats.

Introduction: The COVID-19 pandemic, present in Indonesia for 17 months, has significantly impacted mental health, especially in individuals with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). Studies in Europe reported a 17.9% to 60.3% increase in OCD symptom severity. Notably, no research in Indonesia has explored the pandemic’s effects on OCD patients. Lockdown measures in Indonesia may exacerbate symptoms, but some OCD patients benefit, finding relief from societal stigmatization and the opportunity to advise others on infection prevention. This review aims to examine the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on OCD patients in Indonesia and discuss potential management strategies. Methods: We conducted a comprehensive literature search, identifying studies, articles, and reports relevant to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on OCD patients in Indonesia. These sources were critically evaluated to provide a comprehensive overview. Results: This review reveals that the pandemic poses unique challenges to OCD patients in Indonesia. Lockdown measures may worsen symptoms, although some patients find relief from societal stigmatization. OCD patients can play a valuable role in advising others on infection prevention. Telemedicine, especially CBT, and medication adherence tools are crucial for effective management. Conclusion: The COVID-19 pandemic affects OCD patients in Indonesia in various ways. It is essential to recognize how lockdown measures impact symptom severity and the opportunities for patients to contribute positively to society. Telemedicine and medication adherence tools are valuable for managing OCD during the pandemic. Addressing the needs of OCD patients and implementing effective strategies for their care during COVID-19 is essential in Indonesia.

Sistem mikro-elektromekanis (MEMS) adalah teknologi proses yang digunakan untuk membuat perangkat kecil perangkat atau sistem terintegrasi yang menggabungkan komponen mekanik dan listrik. Komponen tersebut dibuat menggunakan teknik pemrosesan batch sirkuit terpadu (IC) dan dapat berkisar dari beberapa mikrometer sampai milimeter. Microcantilever banyak diaplikasikan dalam sensor kimia dan biologi karena sensitifitasnya. Dalam satu dekade terakhir Microcantilever telah menjadi begitu populer karena sensitivitas yang tinggi, kemudahan dalam fabrikasi dan fleksibilitas jika diterapkan pada chipsirkuit. Juga sangat diminati karena kemudahan dalam mengkalibrasi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah mengubah force dan dimensi pada Microcantilever. Tujuan dari Penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui karakteristik dari sebuah Microcantilever karena karakteristik tersebut sangat dibutuhkan sebelum melakukan perancangan sebuah sensor berbasis Microcantilever. Dari hasil simulasi nilai displacement yang dihasilkan pada mikrokantilever adalah 5,31 x 10-10 mm apabila menggunakan force 4N; 6,64 x 10-10 mm apabila menggunakan force 5N; dan 7,97 x 10-10 mm apabila menggunakan force 6N. Ketebalan pada saat perancangan mempengaruhi frekuensi yang dihasilkan oleh mikrokantilever. ketebalan 0,75 µm menghasilkan frekuensi sebesar 0,31 MHz, ketebalan 1,5 µm menghasilkan frekuensi sebesar 0,61 MHz dan ketebalan 3 µm menghasilkan frekuensi 1,218 MHz

Introduction: The study aimed to ascertain how the faculty at the Faculty of Medicine, Hasanuddin University perceived their role as a tutor during a problem-based learning activity during the academic phase of medical education, based on the length of time they acted as a tutor. Methods: This was prospective observational research with an explanatory sequential mixed-method design, which was performed at the Undergraduate Medical Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, Hasanuddin University, from January 2023 until May 2023. Research subjects were divided into two groups: a) the Novice group and b) the Expert group. Quantitative data were collected by giving a questionnaire containing six categories with 35 questions and distributed by Google form. Software Defined Wireless Sensor Networks (SDWSN) enable flexibility in Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) environments by defining the controllable functions to WSN nodes by the Software Defined Network (SDN) controller. Due to the rapid evolution of SDWSNs, adverse effects also have occurred in terms of interference, energy consumption, and security issues. Several state-of-the-art works lend their utmost best to the SDWSN environment. However, the complete picture (i.e., relatability and security in SDWSN) poses severe challenges. The state-of-the-art issues is addressed in this research by proposing interference-aware Multi-Tier Scheduling for the SDWSN environment (MTS-SDWSN). First, we perform network construction in which the proposed network is constructed in a 2D hexagonal grid structure to resolve the connectivity issue. Upon constructing the network, the SDWSN nodes are clustered and managed to reduce the energy consumption using the Divide Well To Merge Better (DWTMB) algorithm in which the optimal Cluster Leader (CL) is selected based on adequate constraint. The data from the clustered nodes are sent to the Local Base Station (LBS) via CL in which they are scheduled in multi-tier format to diminish the complexity and interference issues. The first tier involved in scheduling among Cluster Members (CMs) and CL using adequate metrics, whereas the successive tiers (i.e., second and third) involved in scheduling among CLs to LBSs and LBSs to Sink Node (SN) are done using the Non-Cooperative Fuzzy Theory (NCFT) method. Last, the scheduled nodes are routed to appropriate destinations using Secure and Optimal Routing Protocol (SORP). The proposed SORP includes the Alibaba and Forty Thieves (AFT) and Multi Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) algorithms for selecting and ranking the optimal routes. Further, the security of the routes is enabled by adopting trust and Moving Target Defense (MTD) mechanisms. The MTD includes route switching among the SDWSN devices and active switch handling using Cycle Generative Adversarial Networks (CGAN) among the switches. The proposed work is implemented using a NS-3.26 simulation tool, and performance of the proposed model and existing works shows that the proposed work outperforms the existing works.

A numerical analysis of the fin count that affects phase change material (PCM) melting within a cylindrical shell-and-tube thermal energy storage (TES) is provided. Using the ANSYS/FLUENT 16 tool, the enthalpy-porosity combination was quantitatively evaluated. PCMs made of paraffin wax were used in this experiment (RT42). The results of this investigation show that fins significantly affect melting, which reduces the time required to finish the operation. Since melting relies on natural convection, which has a sluggish rate of heat transfer, the process takes longer when there are no fins. The melting process takes 900 min to finish. The melting fraction grew monotonically with the number of fins, and the curve had an initial sharp trend followed by a gradual one. When more PCMs transitioned from a solid state to a liquid state over time, the pace at which they melted decreased, and the thermal resistance between the solid-liquid interface and the heat transfer surface increased. With the same heat storage effect, the maximum time difference was 236 min, and the biggest time difference was caused by the number of fins at 81.4 %. The total melting time was greatly affected by the number of fins in the design.

The uncontrollable rise in energy consumption become a most significant issue in recent decades. One of the largest consumers of energy resources across all industries is the residential building sector. Researchers have suggested several strategies to reduce energy loss, including enclosing insulation in wall structures because air conditioning systems account for the majority of energy use inside homes. The main goal of this article is to increase residents' thermal comfort (Tc) while reducing their heating load (HL) and cooling load (CL). Using the EnergyPlus program, the building model was simulated in sample cities with various climatic conditions. For optimization, the first seven design variables were determined in Jeplus software and then multi-objective optimization was performed by the Non-dominated Sorting Genetic Algorithm (NSGA-Ⅱ) algorithm. As a result, Tc, HL, and CL values improved by 38–62, 61 to 100, and 17 to 39 percent, respectively.

This study focused on addressing the heat generation issue in Lithium-Ion battery packs (LIBPs). By simulating three LIBPs arranged in series within a duct, the momentum and energy conservation equations were solved using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) to investigate cooling performance on the LIBPs' temperature. To enhance cooling, copper oxide nanoparticles were added to pure water to improve the thermal conductivity of the working fluid. Various cases were simulated to examine the effects of Reynolds number at inlet and volume fraction of copper oxide nanoparticles on flow parameters (streamlines, vortices, pressure drop) and heat transfer parameters (temperature distribution, maximum and average temperature of each LIBP) within the duct. Also, this study analyzed exergoeconomics by considering exergies and initial investment. The results demonstrate that increasing the volume fraction from 0 to 4 % at Re = 60 reduced the maximum temperature of LIBP 1, 2, and 3 by 2.19 °C, 2.26 °C, and 2.64 °C, respectively, while it had no remarkable impact on the maximum temperature of LIBPs for bigger Reynolds numbers.

The initial temperature has a considerable effect on aluminum polycrystals' physical stability and mechanical performance, with the possibility to optimize their mechanical properties for practical applications. Thus, using a molecular dynamics technique, the effect of temperature on the mechanical properties of aluminum polycrystals is studied. Stress-strain curves, ultimate strength, and Young's modulus were all measured at temperatures of 300, 350, 400, and 450 K. The findings from MD simulations show that the initial temperature significantly affects the physical stability and mechanical performance of designed aluminum polycrystals. The aluminum polycrystal experiences a numerical increase in ultimate strength and Young's modulus from 6640 to 74.072 to 7.055 and 79.226 GPa, respectively, when subjected to the optimal initial conditions of 350 K. With further increasing temperature to 450 K, ultimate strength and Young's modulus decrease to 6.461 and 74.413 GPa, respectively. The observed decrease in ultimate strength and Young's modulus of the aluminum polycrystal as the temperature increased from the optimal condition of 350 K–450 K can be attributed to the weakening of interatomic attraction forces at higher temperatures. This reduction in interatomic bonding strength resulted in decreased material stiffness and resistance to deformation, leading to lower ultimate strength and Young's modulus values. This study's novelty lies in its comprehensive assessment of the initial temperature's effects on the mechanical performance of aluminum polycrystals, providing valuable insights for practical applications and advancing beyond previous efforts in the literature.
