The coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic is an unexpected, global phenomenon, unique in modern history, which affects people around the world in various aspects of life. Apart from physical health, people are affected in the area of well-being and mental health. Due to preventive restrictions, the worldwide population has experienced social isolation on an unprecedented scale. The uniqueness of the COVID-19 pandemic is manifested in the fact people who have not personally experienced the coronavirus infection are experiencing the financial and psychological consequences of pandemic. Considering how unpredictable and precarious the COVID-19 pandemic situation is, it demands urgent and dedicated actions. The implementation of the project will enable to collect data, acquire new knowledge, and investigate the effects and significance of changes in mental health due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Our aim in this project is to reveal differences in mental health and well-being due to the COVID-19 pandemic among younger adults (aged between 20-29) and older adults (aged between 30-39) in Poland, Germany, Slovenia, and Israel. The investigation will be conducted during a three-months’ period. The aforementioned countries differ with regard to the COVID-19 pandemic course and social capital. We aim to show the change in the prevalence of mental health problems (anxiety, depression, perceived stress, post-traumatic stress) and well-being (satisfaction with life and general health), which may be determined by a variety of predictors (age, educational and occupational status, gender, exposure to COVID-19, perception of COVID-19 impact on well-being, physical activity, religiosity and spirituality, and social capital) in a cross-cultural context during the ongoing pandemic. This will help to develop essential solutions, e.g. establishment of valuable psychological help programs to prevent further decline of well-being and aggravation of mental health. The study aims to examine the wellbeing of undergraduates from other countries around the world. The cross-sectional survey study will examine general physical health, perceived stress, depression, anxiety, satisfaction with life, physical activity, primary sources of concerns related to the COVID-19 pandemic, and experience of coronavirus disease. The status of the prevalence of coronavirus disease in particular countries will be under control during the research. We will compare the wellbeing of undergraduates between countries from various regions of the world. Also, the association between variables will be analyzed to find universal determinants of wellbeing indices and also specific predictors for the particular countries.

The main objective is to present the perceived factors in cognitive schema change as experienced by participants from two Slovenian sectors and to compare them with factors from schema change theory in order to evaluate specific circumstances and obstacles to effective cognitive schema change. 31 interviews with participants from six companies were conducted twice during the 2008 economic crisis. The prevalent perceived antecedents of schema change lie within an organisation and in the business environment. Stimulating factors are also economic and financial crises and personal characteristics. The prevalent obstacles to schema change, as perceived by participants, are stability of current cognitive schemas, personal characteristics of management, and rigidity. V prispevku so predstavljeni dejavniki spreminjanja kognitivnih shem, kot jih zaznavajo udeleženci iz dveh slovenskih panog, ki jih primerjamo z glavnimi dejavniki iz teorije kognitivnih shem. Namen raziskave je ovrednotiti poglavitne dejavnike, ki spodbujajo in ovirajo dolgoročno in trajno spremembo kognitivnih shem. V dveh časovnih obdobjih v času finančne in gospodarske krize je bilo opravljenih 31 intervjujev s predstavniki šestih podjetij. Rezultati kažejo, da so med prevladujočimi dejavniki, ki spodbujajo spremembo shem dejavniki znotraj podjetja in v poslovnem okolju. Sledijo jim aktualna gospodarska kriza ter osebne spremenljivke. Prevladuoči dejavniki, ki ovirajo spremembo kognitivnih shem, so stabilnost obstoječih kognitivnih shem v organizaciji, osebne spremenljivke managementa in rigidnost.

V Sloveniji v zadnjih desetih letih beležimo povecevanje obsega atipicnih oblik zaposlitev in drugih oblik dela kot odziv na spremenjene okoliscine dela. Ker je porast novih oblik dela pricakovati tudi v prihodnje, hkrati pa te oblike pogosto povezujejo s tveganji prekarnosti, se tako v tuji in domaci literaturi ter javnosti sprožajo pobude za ohranitev dostojnega dela in potrebe po pozornem spremljanju razvoja teh oblik dela z vidika tako ohranjanja pravic delavcev kakor tudi sistema socialne varnosti. Namen tega clanka je preuciti koncept dostojnega dela, empiricno prikazati stanje na trgu dela z vidika razvoja novih oblik dela v Sloveniji in analizirati pravne dileme, ki jih prinasajo nove oblike dela. This qualitative research investigates interpretive schemata by producers for automotive industry during the economic crisis in Slovenia. Specifically, the interest was in their Human resource management (HRM) schemata in current crisis. We explained the dynamics of schema change on the basis of Piaget's theory of adaptation. In-depth interviews with CEOs, directors of HRM and leaders of trade unions served as a primary data source. In addition, comparative analysis of social responsibility as reported in companies' annual reports in 2007 and 2008 was made. Firstly, results demonstrate strategic role of HRM in chosen companies. Secondly, present economic crisis does not serve as a factor of schema change. In conclusion, participants mostly assimilate new information from environment to fit their HRM schemata. Results show the major factor for both assimilation and lack of schema change is occurrence of crisis in Slovenian companies that produce for automotive industry in the nineties. V pričujoči kvalitativni raziskavi smo se ukvarjali s kognitivnimi shemami pri udeležencih domačih podjetij, ki proizvajajo za mednarodno avtomobilsko panogo v času gospodarske krize v Sloveniji. Natančneje so nas zanimale njihove interpretativne sheme o vlogi področja upravljanja s človeškimi viri (UČV) ter vloga krize kot dejavnika spreminjanja shem o UČV. Dinamiko spreminjanja shem smo pojasnili na podlagi Piagetove teorije adaptacije organizma na zahteve okolja. Primarni vir podatkov so predstavljali poglobljeni intervjuji s predsedniki uprav, vodji oddelkov za UČV ter vodji predstavnikov zaposlenih. Za namene triangulacije je bila narejena primerjalna analiza družbene odgovornosti v letnih poročilih iz let 2007 in 2008. Rezultati kažejo, da je vloga UČV v izbranih podjetjih v veliki meri strateška. Ugotovili smo tudi, da aktualna gospodarska kriza ne služi kot povod za spreminjanje shem na področju UČV, iz česar sklepamo na višjo prisotnost asimilacije v interpretativnih shemah. Zaključimo lahko, da je kriza pri proizvajalcih za avtomobilsko panogo v devetdesetih letih glavni dejavnik shem o UČV v aktualni krizi. Sočasno je prejšnja kriza tudi dejavnik, zakaj se sheme UČV pri udeležencih v krizi ne spreminjajo v večji meri.
