Abstract

Frequency response analysis (FRA) is a tool for evaluating mechanical integrity of transformer's core and winding. However, several studies have reported that FRA is also sensitive to other parameters such as temperature, moisture content and presence of oil. Since some of these parameters are critical in the insulation degradation process, it is interesting to further investigate the possibility of using FRA for insulation assessment. In this paper, the insulation conditions of three field transformers are investigated using FRA. This is performed after statistical analysis on the response suggested no mechanical damage on the transformers. The responses are further analyzed to determine the percentage of change of winding capacitance. This is achieved by comparing resonance frequencies between the responses. The percentage of change represents the amount of degradation in the insulation. This is because as the insulation condition degrades, the response is shifted towards lower frequencies. This new investigation demonstrates the applicability of FRA to estimate the insulation degradation.

Higher birth order is associated with altered risk of many disease states. Changes in placentation and exposures to in utero growth factors with successive pregnancies may impact later life disease risk via persistent DNA methylation alterations. Abstract

Time synchronization is a vital concern for any Cognitive Radio Network (CRN) to perform dynamic spectrum management. Each Cognitive Radio (CR) node has to be environment aware and self adaptive and must have the ability to switch between multiple modulation schemes and frequencies. Achieving same notion of time within these CR nodes is essential to fulfill the requirements for simultaneous quiet periods for spectrum sensing. Current application layer time synchronization protocols require multiple timestamp exchanges to estimate skew between the clocks of CRN nodes. The proposed symbol timing recovery method already estimates the skew of hardware clock at the physical layer and use it for skew correction of application layer clock of each node. The heart of application layer clock is the hardware clock and hence application layer clock skew will be same as of physical layer and can be corrected from symbol timing recovery process. So one timestamp is enough to synchronize two CRN nodes. Abstract

BackgroundPreterm birth and shorter duration of pregnancy are associated with increased morbidity in neonatal and later life. As the epigenome is known to have an important role during fetal development, we investigated associations between gestational age and blood DNA methylation in children.MethodsWe performed meta-analysis of Illumina's HumanMethylation450-array associations between gestational age and cord blood DNA methylation in 3648 newborns from 17 cohorts without common pregnancy complications, induced delivery or caesarean section. We also explored associations of gestational age with DNA methylation measured at 4-18 years in additional pediatric cohorts. Follow-up analyses of DNA methylation and gene expression correlations were performed in cord blood. Antibacterial activity, antioxidant properties and many bioactive compounds in ginger have been identified previously, which could be used as an alternative method to treat many infectious diseases.Methods: The current study evaluates ginger’s biochemical profile using qualitative and quantitative analysis and its bioactive potentials using antioxidant and antimicrobial assays against Streptococcus mutans and selective oral microbes. HPLC analysis was performed for the quantitative analysis. DPPH and disc diffusion assays were used for antioxidant and antimicrobial activities. The antimicrobial activity was checked against Streptococcus mutans, Enterococcus faecalis, Staphylococcus spp., and Lactobacillus spp. All solvents were removed by rotary evaporation before testing the dried extracts.Results: The observed IC50 value showed that distilled water extract exhibited the highest antioxidant activity (43.9), followed by ethanol extract (52.4), and the lowest activity was observed in n-butanol extract (91.2) and n-hexane (90.6). Different plant extracts have shown significant antibacterial activity (p = 0.001) against each bacterium. The highest antibacterial activity against tested bacteria was observed in n-hexane, chloroform and ethanol extracts. In comparison, the ethyl acetate, n-butanol and water extracts showed low antibacterial activity.Conclusion: This study emphasizes that Zingiber officinale (Z. officinale) against Gram-positive bacteria is an effective antimicrobial herb. Furthermore, it can be used as a potential natural source of antioxidants. Abstract

The 2014-2016 JET results are reviewed in the light of their significance for optimising the ITER research plan for the active and non-active operation. More than 60 h of plasma operation with ITER first wall materials successfully took place since its installation in 2011. New multi-machine scaling of the type I-ELM divertor energy flux density to ITER is supported by first principle modelling. ITER relevant disruption experiments and first principle modelling are reported with a set of three disruption mitigation valves mimicking the ITER setup. Insights of the L-H power threshold in Deuterium and Hydrogen are given, stressing the importance of the magnetic configurations and the recent measurements of fine-scale structures in the edge radial electric. Dimensionless scans of the core and pedestal confinement provide new information to elucidate the importance of the first wall material on the fusion performance. H-mode plasmas at ITER triangularity (H = 1 at β N ∼ 1.8 and n/n GW ∼ 0.6) have been sustained at 2 MA during 5 s. The ITER neutronics codes have been validated on high performance experiments. Prospects for the coming D-T campaign and 14 MeV neutron calibration strategy are reviewed.

44. GLYCEMIC STATUS IN COVID AND POST COVID-19 INFECTION IN HOSPITALISED PATIENTS

Abstract

Background: Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) caused by coronavirus 2 (SARS CoV-2) has a wide spectrum of clinical picture which consist asymptomatic infection to severe respiratory symptoms. The hyperglycemia that occurs in the acute inammatory state of COVID-19 patients is found to be more pronounced amongst diabetes, prediabetes, and/or with obesity. Present study is undertaken with the objectives to analyse Glycemic Status and dysglycemic grounds in COVID-19 hospitalized patients. Material & Methods: This Cross sectional Observational study was conducted in Department of Medicine, MGM Medical College and Hospital, Aurangabad [Maharashtra], India. 75 RT-PCR conrmed Covid-19 patients for dysglycemic status were enrolled. The Observations & Results: mean age of patients in the study was 55.04±16.83 years. The male had (60.0%) predominance than female (40.0%). All the patients were given steroids during treatment at hospitalisation, 72(96.0%) patients were provided Remdesivir, 66(88.0%) were treated with anticoagulants and 25(33.3%) of patients were given fabiu. The mean HbA1C level at ICU admission was 7.16±0.84, while the mean HbA1C level 3 months post hospitalization irrespective of discharge date was 7.96±1.30. This observation was statistically signicant. Present study conrmed Conclusion: that the blood glucose levels signicantly found increased not only during covid-19 hospitalization but also after laps of 3 months of COVID infection. Also noted signicantly higher values of HBA1c at three months post infections on discharge.
