ZusammenfassungKonkremente des Tränenapparates, sog. Dakryolithen, können an unterschiedlichen Lokalisationen auftreten und führen zu verschiedenen klinischen Zeichen. Gemeinsam ist das Auftreten chronischer Entzündungen, die akut exazerbieren können. Anhand einer Literaturrecherche sowie deskriptiver Vorstellung und Korrelation der Klinik mit histopathologischen Befunden sollen die wichtigsten Informationen zur Epidemiologie, Ätiopathogenese, Zusammensetzung, Histologie und Therapie gegeben werden. Weiterhin werden die bekannten Einflussfaktoren zur Lithogenese im Tränensack zusammengefasst. Konkremente der Tränendrüse zeigen eine Schwellung im Bereich des lateralen Kanthus. Die häufig nur mit leichten Schmerzen einhergehende Veränderung führt oft auch zu einer umschriebenen konjunktivalen Hyperämie. Histologisch ist das Gewebe der Tränendrüse von einer akut-erosiven bis chronischen Entzündungsreaktion gekennzeichnet. Die Konkremente bestehen aus amorphem Material. Das entzündliche Infiltrat ist von neutrophilen Granulozyten dominiert. Tränenröhrchensteine sind in hohem Maße mit dem klinischen Bild einer chronischen Kanalikulitis assoziiert. Klinisch liegen zumeist eine Epiphora und ein purulenter Sekretausfluss im Bereich des betroffenen Tränenröhrchens vor. Die Konkremente der Tränenröhrchen weisen typischerweise Actinomyces-Drusen auf. Das umgebende Gewebe reagiert mit einer plasmazellulären sowie granulozytären Infiltration. Dakryolithen (Konkremente des Tränensackes) manifestieren sich im Rahmen einer Dakryozystitis, wobei hier sowohl akute als auch chronische Entzündungen vorkommen. Sie werden in bis zu 18% der Dakryozystorhinostomien gefunden und stellen eine große diagnostische Herausforderung dar. Wiederkehrende episodenhafte Epiphora mit mukopurulenter Sekretion und akuter Dakryozystitis sind typisch. Zumeist besteht eine Spülbarkeit der ableitenden Tränenwege. Histologisch imponiert ein lymphozytäres Infiltrat mit submuköser Fibrose. Unmittelbar angrenzend zu den Konkrementen finden sich Zeichen einer akuten Entzündungsreaktion. Das therapeutische Mittel der Wahl ist die Extraktion der Konkremente und die Beseitigung der Tränenabflussstörung, da hierin ein wichtiger Faktor zur Entstehung gesehen wird.

Electrochemotherapy (ECT) is the combination of transient pore formation following electric pulse application with the administration of cytotoxic drugs, which enhances the cytotoxic effect of the applied agent due to membrane changes. In vitro 3D culture systems simulate the in vivo tumor growth and preserve the biological characteristics of tumors more accurately than conventional monolayer cell cultures. We describe a protocol for the development of 3D tumor organoids using conjunctival melanoma (CM) and uveal melanoma (UM) cell lines as well as the use of hand-held customized electrodes, suitable for in vitro ECT in the culture well without destruction of the tumor environment. This protocol analyzes the culture and growth of 3D CM and UM spheroids and their reaction to bleomycin (2.5 µg/mL) alone, electroporation (EP) (750 Volts/cm, 8 pulses, 100 µs, 5 Hz) alone, and ECT as a combination of EP and bleomycin. The drug concentration and the EP settings used in this protocol were established as preferred ECT conditions according to previous experiments. The assay used to determine the spheroid viability was conducted 3-7 days following treatment. The effect on viability and growth of the 3D tumor spheroids was significant only after ECT. The customized electrodes are described in detail in order to facilitate the application of pulses in the culture well. This novel treatment of 3D UM and CM spheroids sets a steppingstone for future clinical application.

Biallelic STX3 variants were previously reported in five individuals with the severe congenital enteropathy, microvillus inclusion disease (MVID). Here, we provide a significant extension of the phenotypic spectrum caused by STX3 variants. We report ten individuals of diverse geographic origin with biallelic STX3 loss-of-function variants, identified through exome sequencing, single-nucleotide polymorphism array-based homozygosity mapping, and international collaboration. The evaluated individuals all presented with MVID. Eight individuals also displayed early-onset severe retinal dystrophy, i.e., syndromic—intestinal and retinal—disease. These individuals harbored STX3 variants that affected both the retinal and intestinal STX3 transcripts, whereas STX3 variants affected only the intestinal transcript in individuals with solitary MVID. That STX3 is essential for retinal photoreceptor survival was confirmed by the creation of a rod photoreceptor-specific STX3 knockout mouse model which revealed a time-dependent reduction in the number of rod photoreceptors, thinning of the outer nuclear layer, and the eventual loss of both rod and cone photoreceptors. Together, our results provide a link between STX3 loss-of-function variants and a human retinal dystrophy. Depending on the genomic site of a human loss-of-function STX3 variant, it can cause MVID, the novel intestinal-retinal syndrome reported here or, hypothetically, an isolated retinal dystrophy.

Die Zyklophotokoagulation (CPC) ist ein einfaches, nichtinvasives und schnell verfugbares Verfahren zur Augendrucksenkung, nimmt aber aufgrund ihres gefurchteten Komplikationspotenzials weiterhin eine Ausenseiterrolle bei der operativen Therapieplanung ein. Die Mikropuls-CPC verspricht ein gewebeschonenderes sowie schmerzarmeres Vorgehen mit weniger Nebenwirkungen. Retrospektive Auswertung der Patienten, die mit dem Mikropuls-CPC-Laser behandelt wurden, zu den Messzeitpunkten 1 Tag praoperativ, 2 Tage postoperativ sowie nach 3 und 6 Monaten. Zwischen 2018 und 2019 wurden 63 Augen von 46 Patienten behandelt. Der mittlere Augendruck im Gesamtkollektiv lag vor Operation bei 20,6 mm Hg und sank 2 Tage nach Operation auf 13,5 mm Hg, nach 3 Monaten auf 16,2 mm Hg und nach 6 Monaten auf 14,6 mm Hg (p

The posttraumatic ocular hypotony (3% after ocular contusion, 50-74% after open globe injury) can lead to severe secondary damage of the eyeball. In addition to corneal folds, ciliary body and choroidal detachment, papilledema e vacuo and macular folds, the shrinking of the eye can lead to substantial visual impairment. Subsequently, the contralateral eye may react with ocular hypertension. The cause of the hypotony must be identified and causally treated. A preservation of the globe is possible if more than 210 ° of the ciliary body are intact. One of the major causes of posttraumatic hypotony is cyclodialysis. Smaller cyclodialysis clefts respond to a cycloplegic treatment, larger clefts require a surgical approach. The direct cyclopexy can be combined with primary wound repair or pole to pole surgery. An alternative consists of silicone oil endotamponade or occlusion of Schlemm's canal. The posttraumatic ocular hypotony is complex and requires exact diagnostics to be able to differentially and specifically treat the causes of hypotony.Die Bulbushypotonie nach Trauma (3 % nach Bulbuskontusion, 50–74 % nach offener Augenverletzung) kann schwere sekundäre Schäden des Bulbus zur Folge haben. Neben Hornhautfalten, Ziliarkörper- und Aderhautabhebung, Stauungspapille e vacuo und Makulasternfalten kann die Schrumpfung des Auges zu einer erheblichen Visusminderung führen. Konsekutiv kann das kontralaterale Auge mit einer okulären Hypertension reagieren. Die Ursache der Hypotonie muss diagnostiziert und kausal behandelt werden. Wenn mehr als 210 Grad des Ziliarkörpers verbleiben, ist ein Bulbuserhalt möglich. Häufige Ursache der posttraumatischen Hypotonie ist eine Zyklodialyse. Kleinere Zyklodialysespalten verschließen sich unter Zykloplegie, größere werden chirurgisch versorgt. Die Zyklopexie kann mit einer primären Wundversorgung oder auch einer Pol-zu-Pol-Chirurgie kombiniert werden. Alternativ sind bei persistierender Hypotonia bulbi eine Silikonölendotamponade bzw. eine Okklusion des Schlemm-Kanals möglich. Die posttraumatische Bulbushypotonie ist komplex und bedarf einer exakten Diagnostik, um ihre Ursachen differenziert und gezielt behandeln zu können.

Most orbital diseases are rarely diagnosed in the clinic. Because the consequences for the eye can be severe, it is important to recognize the signs of orbital disease early in order to initiate the correct diagnostic and therapeutic steps in good time. This article presents the basics of the systematics, diagnostics and therapy of orbital diseases in preparation for the specialist examination for ENT medicine. Some orbital diseases are typical manifestations of systemic diseases (e. g. Graves' disease) or typical complications of diseases in the vicinity of the orbit (e. g. orbital complications from inflammatory or tumorous sinus diseases). The diseases of the lacrimal system and the eyelids as well as their therapy are closely related to the diseases of the orbit. Basically, it can be said that the diagnosis and therapy of orbital diseases should always be carried out on an interdisciplinary basis, whereby the involvement of the ophthalmologist is of particular importance.

Der Fall eines 28-jährigen Mannes, welcher nach einem Sturz aus 5 m Höhe eine Evulsio nervi optici (ENO) erlitt, wird beschrieben. Initial betrug der Visus am betroffenen linken Auge Lichtschein, die direkte Lichtreaktion war aufgehoben, und das Auge war hypoton. Bei durchgreifender Oberlidwunde, Hyphäma sowie dichter Glaskörperblutung bestand der Verdacht auf eine gedeckte Bulbusruptur, weshalb eine chirurgische Exploration mit Vitrektomie erfolgte, bei der sich eine ENO detektieren ließ. Aufgrund eines schmerzhaften Sekundärglaukoms wurde 24 Monate nach dem Trauma eine Enukleation notwendig.

The tearing eye (epiphora) is deemed to be the leading symptome of efferent tear duct stenosis. Nevertheless, epiphora might be caused by ocular surface pathologies or even intraocular diseases. A distinguished anamnesis and sufficient clinical examination is most meaningful for the differential diagnostic distinction. Therapy is based on pathologic changes. In case of ocular surface disease, a suitable tear substitution and antiinflammatory approach is mandatory. Multifarious triggers have to be considered as well. Addressing tear film distribution, suitable oculoplastic surgery is required. Efferent tear duct stenosis necessitates surgical treatment as the level of suffering is often very high and acute exacerbations may develop. Besides recanalization, anastomosing techniques represent the available therapeutic principles. Possible surgical approaches offer a great variety and many influencing factors navigate therapy decisions. This part of the review comments on the most important therapeutic approaches for lacrimal apparatus diseases.

Die Kasuistik einer 82 Jahre alten Frau mit bilateraler nekrotisierender Fasziitis, davon einseitiger Orbitabeteiligung, wird vorgestellt. Es zeigte sich eine Mischinfektion durch Streptococcus pyogenes, Staphylococcus aureus und Aspergillus fumigatus. Letzterer wurde molekularpathologisch nachgewiesen. Therapeutisch kamen ein wiederholtes chirurgisches Debridement und eine intravenose Breitbandantibiotikatherapie sowie Antimykotikatherapie zum Einsatz. Die Patientin erhielt zudem niedrig dosierte systemische Kortikosteroide. Nach Abklingen der Entzundungszeichen kam es zu einer unkomplizierten Wundheilung per secundam intentionem.

The lacrimal apparatus is a part of the ocular adnexa preserving ocular surface homoeostasis and therefore enabling sufficiant visual functioning. Tear producting tissues, eyelids and efferent tear ducts operate as one functional unit. Pathologic changes consist of inflammatory diseases, congenital disorders, degenerations and neoplasia. Common to all these conditions is a potential impairment of the ocular integrity as well as a substantial degree of suffering for the affected patients. This review reflects basics of the anatomy, physiology, and diagnostics of the lacrimal apparatus.

Zusammenfassung Hintergrund Die primär lokalisierte orbitale Amyloidose (PLOA) ist ein sehr seltenes Krankheitsbild und muss gegenüber einer systemischen Amyloidose abgegrenzt werden. Im Gegensatz zu der isolierten Manifestation kann ein systemischer Befall mit potenziell lebensbedrohlichen Folgen einhergehen. Aber auch der isolierte Befall der Orbita kann zu schwerwiegenden ophthalmologischen Komplikationen führen. Material und Methoden Es werden 2 Fälle einer PLOA beschrieben und die notwendige ophthalmologische, internistische und histopathologische Diagnostik erläutert. Ergebnisse Der 1. Fall handelt von einer 71-jährigen Patientin mit einer PLOA, die sich als eine gelbliche, leicht höckerige, subkonjunktivale Prominenz im nasal unteren Quadranten ohne weitere ophthalmologische Auffälligkeiten präsentierte. Die Patientin war beschwerdefrei. Eine systemische Manifestation wurde ausgeschlossen. Im Follow-up über 4 Jahre kam es zu einer langsamen Progression, okuläre Komplikationen traten nicht auf. Der 2. Fall beschreibt einen 72-jährigen Patienten mit einer PLOA der temporal oberen Bulbuszirkumferenz mit sonst ähnlichem klinischem Bild wie bei Fall 1, bei dem es im Krankheitsverlauf jedoch zu multiplen ophthalmologischen Komplikationen (Ptosis, Protrusio bulbi, Diplopie, Sekundärglaukom, perforiertes Hornhautulkus bei neurotropher Keratopathie) kam. Mehrfach wurde eine perforierende Keratoplastik durchgeführt. Durch eine Radiatio konnte eine Befundstagnation erreicht werden, das Follow-up liegt bei 4 Jahren. Schlussfolgerung Die PLOA kann zu visus- und bulbusbedrohenden Komplikationen führen. Eine exakte Diagnosestellung ist für das weitere diagnostische und therapeutische Vorgehen ausgesprochen wichtig, um potenziellen lokalen und systemischen Komplikationen entgegenzuwirken. Interindividuell verschiedene Verläufe sind dabei zu berücksichtigen.

Zusammenfassung Einleitung Die Vorzugslokalisation eines Hautmalignoms ist die sonnenexponierte Gesichts- und Halshaut. Das Basalzellkarzinom macht hierbei den Hauptanteil aus. Unter Berücksichtigung der Demografie ist perspektivisch von einem steigenden Therapiebedarf auszugehen. Aus Sicht der Resektion und Rekonstruktion ist die Region der Lider sehr anspruchsvoll und sollte in ausgewählten Fällen interdisziplinär behandelt werden. Das Ziel der Analyse war es, erste Behandlungsergebnisse interdisziplinär therapierter Patienten mit einem Hautmalignom der Lid- und Periorbitalregion zu erfassen. Material und Methoden Im Rahmen einer prospektiven Pilotstudie in der Zeit von September 2017 bis Juli 2019 wurden alle Patienten mit einem nicht pigmentierten Hautmalignom und klinischem Verdacht auf ein Basalzellkarzinom der Lider und Periorbitalregion erfasst. Die Krankheitsverläufe aller interdisziplinär (Mund-, Kiefer- und Gesichtschirurgie und Ophthalmologie) betreuten Patienten wurden ausgewertet und die klinischen sowie histologischen Parameter in einer Datenbank dokumentiert. Von besonderem Interesse waren die Lokalisation, die Tumorentität, der Resektionsstatus inklusive definitiver Histologie und das rekonstruktive Konzept. Ergebnisse Im Beobachtungszeitraum wurden 349 Patienten (162 Frauen, 187 Männer) im Alter von 12 bis 98 Jahren eingeschlossen. Hiervon wurden 14 Patienten interdisziplinär behandelt. Dies waren 6 Frauen (Durchschnittsalter 80,3 Jahre) und 8 Männer (Durchschnittsalter 65,3 Jahre). Histologisch handelte es sich um Basalzellkarzinome (n = 10) und um Plattenepithelkarzinome (n = 3). Einmal wurde lediglich eine aktinische Keratose nachgewiesen. Es konnte in allen Fällen eine R0-Resektion erzielt werden, wobei 8 der Patienten ein zweizeitiges operatives Vorgehen erhielten und 6 Patienten einzeitig operiert wurden. In einem Fall musste zweimalig nachreseziert werden. Diskussion Die Lid- und Periorbitalregion stellt eine operative Herausforderung dar, welche in der Kooperation aus Ophthalmologen und Mund-, Kiefer- und Gesichtschirurgen umgesetzt werden sollte. Nicht selten weisen die Malignome eine erhebliche Tiefeninfiltration auf, wodurch totale Resektionen der Lidregion inklusive angrenzender Gewebestrukturen für einen R0-Status nötig werden. Entsprechend erfordert die rekonstruktive Strategie die Ausnutzung und gegebenenfalls Kombination des kompletten plastisch-chirurgischen Repertoires beider Fachdisziplinen.

Periokuläre Verletzungen im Rahmen einer Kaiserschnittentbindung sind extrem selten. Anhand einer Kasuistik eines 5 h alten Neugeborenen soll das Trauma-Management in Hinblick auf Diagnostik, Therapie und Nachsorge einer tiefen periokulären Weichteilwunde dargestellt werden. Das Verletzungsmuster umfasste durchgreifende Wunden des medialen und lateralen Lidwinkels mit Eröffnung der Bindehautumschlagsfalte, der Tenonkapsel und Durchtrennung des oberen Tränenröhrchens. Der schichtweise Wundverschluss beinhaltete eine autostabile monokanalikulonasale Intubation der ableitenden Tränenwege. Periocular injuries during a caesarean section are extremely rare. The case report of a five hour old newborn addresses the trauma management concerning diagnostics, therapy, and post-operative care of a deep periocular soft tissue injury. The pattern of injury consisted of full thickness wounds of the medial and lateral lid margins, opening of the superior conjunctival fornix, and penetration of Tenon’s capsule. The reconstruction was performed layer by layer while an autostable monocanaliculonasal lacrimal intubation was inserted.

The limbus of the eye is the location of the corneal epithelial stem cell niche. These cells are necessary for continuous renewal of the corneal epithelium. In the case of limbal stem cell deficiency, these cells are damaged, and the whole cornea becomes opaque. It is important to be able to identify stem cells that could be applied for new therapeutic strategies. There are various known markers to characterize these cells, including p63, Nanog, oct4 and FGFR2. However, none of these markers are exclusively expressed in these stem cells (they are also expressed in transient amplified cells). It seems likely that a combination of stem cell markers will be necessary for corneal stem cell identification. The aim of this study was to detect IRF8 in limbal epithelial stem cells and to determine its function. In a mouse model, IRF8 could be detected in limbal and basal epithelial cells of the cornea by histological and immunohistological staining of wild-type mouse eyes. Furthermore, the limbus of the eye was significantly smaller in IRF8-knockout mice than in wild-type mice, and the expression of Nanog was lower in IRF8-knockout mice. This suggests that IRF8 has an influence on the maintenance of stem cell properties in the limbus, possibly by affecting the expression of Nanog. Furthermore, IRF8 has an impact on E-cadherin and N-cadherin expression in the mouse eye.

The dynamic contour tonometer PASCAL (DCT) is a direct noninvasive digital tonometer matching the corneal contour. We compared the DCT with the Goldmann applanation tonometer (GAT).A total of 100 eyes were included in this prospective comparative clinical investigation and intraocular pressure (IOP) was measured with GAT and DCT before and after pars plana vitrectomy (ppV). Different intraocular endotamponades, such as gas and silicone oil were used. Preoperative IOP, changes in IOP postoperatively and intertonometer differences were measured.The preoperative mean IOP was 15.8 ± 5.2 mm Hg measured with the GAT and 17.5 ± 5.9 mm Hg with DCT. On the first postoperative day, in eyes with gas endotamponade the mean IOP rise was 2.5 mm Hg (p = 0.035) and 18 eyes were measured with an IOP of ≥ 25 mm Hg (19.1%; DCT). Postoperative IOP measured by GAT was 2.5 mm Hg lower and in eyes with gas endotamponade the GAT measured the IOP 3.0 mm Hg lower than the DCT. In eyes with a postoperative IOP above 20 mm Hg, the GAT measured the IOP 4.7 mm Hg lower compared to the DCT. Out of 18 eyes 10 with IOP ≥ 25 mm Hg were not recognized as hypertensive (≥ 25 mm Hg) by GAT. In 13% of the eyes the DCT measured at least 6 mm Hg higher IOP levels than GAT on the first postoperative day. In one extreme case with gas endotamponade, GAT underestimated the IOP by 12 mm Hg compared to the DCT.The IOP spikes after ppV are a feared complication and can lead to irreversible visual loss. Depending on the endotamponade, GAT measures lower IOP than DCT, especially in IOP spikes caused by expansive gas endotamponade. Postoperative IOP measurement is important and readings between GAT and DCT can differ.HINTERGRUND: Das dynamische Konturtonometer PASCAL (DCT) ist ein digitales, der natürlichen Hornhautgeometrie angepasstes Kontakttonometer. Verwendete Endotamponaden waren verschiedene Gase und Silikonöle. Erfasst wurden der präoperative intraokulare Druck (IOD), postoperative Druckveränderungen und die Intertonometerdifferenz.Präoperativ lag der mittlere IOD mit dem GAT gemessen bei 15,8 ± 5,2 mm Hg und dem DCT bei 17,5 ± 5,9 mm Hg. Am ersten postoperativen Tag stieg bei Augen, die mit Gas versorgt wurden, der Druck im Mittel um 2,5 mm Hg (p = 0,035) an. Das DCT erfasste 18 Augen (19,1 %) mit einem postoperativen IOD von ≥ 25 mm Hg. Postoperativ maß das GAT den IOD im Schnitt 2,5 mm Hg niedriger und bei expansiver Gasendotamponade im Mittel um 3,0 mm Hg niedriger als das DCT. Bei IOD-Werten von postoperativ über 20 mm Hg lag das GAT im Mittel 4,7 mm Hg unter dem DCT. Zehn von 18 Augen mit IOD ≥ 25 mm Hg wurden mit dem GAT nicht als hypertensiv (≥ 25 mm Hg) erkannt. Bei 13 % maß das DCT am 1. postoperativen Tag einen um mindestens 6 mm Hg höheren IOD als das GAT. In einem Extremfall wurde der IOD mit dem GAT bei Gasendotamponade um 12 mm Hg unterschätzt.Postoperative Druckanstiege nach ppV sind gefürchtete Komplikationen und können zu irreversiblem Visusverlust führen. Abhängig von der verwendeten Endotamponade misst das GAT den IOD niedriger als das DCT – besonders bei Druckspitzen durch expansive Gase. Die postoperative IOD-Messung nach ppV ist bedeutend und die Messwerte von GAT und DCT können abweichen.

Knocherne Defekte der Orbita mit Verbindung zu den Nasennebenhohlen konnen zu orbitalen Emphysemen fuhren. Der Fallbericht beschreibt einen 39 Jahre alten Mann, der eine Kompression des N. opticus durch ein orbitales Emphysem erlitt. Der Visus betrug Handbewegungen. Es bestand eine Steigerung des Intraokulardruckes auf 32 mm Hg bei einem Exophthalmus von 6 mm im Seitenvergleich. Uber eine Kanthotomie mit Kantholyse sowie radiaren Peritomien konnte eine suffiziente Druckentlastung erreicht werden.

PurposeLimbal stem cell deficiency (LSCD) is a rare but extremely relevant disease of the eye. LSCD patients often require a variety of surgical procedures, including keratoplasty in some cases. However, the outcome of these surgeries, including opacification and revascularization, is often frustrating due to LSCD relapse.MethodsWe developed a new surgical technique for the treatment of LSCD in which partial allogenic limbal transplantation (PALT) is carried out as part of penetrating keratoplasty (PK). After the PK, 1-8 slices from the limbal tissue of the donor graft are prepared and placed under the double running sutures attaching the corneal graft. This procedure was performed on 14 patients with LSCD, caused by severe ocular burn in 5 cases and by infection in 9. Between one and eight limbal transplants were used depending on the extension of the LSCD. ResultsAll 14 patients showed stable or increased visual acuity after the PALT surgery compared to their preoperative visual acuity. All of the grafts were integrated into the superficial corneal layers without progression of corneal vascularization beyond the limbal grafts. The median follow-up period was 12 months on average.ConclusionThe PALT method seems to be a promising surgical procedure for the treatment of patients with LSCD. It can be properly carried out in the context of keratoplasty and does not require a separate donor tissue. The PALT grafts may offer the possibility of constructing a new limbal region, resulting in stable or even increased visual acuity and the absence of corneal vascularization.

Purpose Limbal stem cell deficiency (LSCD) is a rare but extremely relevant disease of the eye. LSCD patients often require a variety of surgical procedures, including keratoplasty in some cases. However, the outcome of these surgeries, including opacification and revascularization, is often frustrating due to LSCD relapse. Methods We developed a new surgical technique for the treatment of LSCD in which partial allogenic limbal transplantation (ALT) is carried out as part of penetrating keratoplasty (PK). After the PK, 1–8 slices from the limbal tissue of the donor graft are prepared and placed under the double running sutures attaching the corneal graft. This procedure was performed on 14 patients with LSCD, caused by severe ocular burn in 5 cases and by infection in 9. Between one and eight limbal transplants were used depending on the extension of the LSCD. Results All 14 patients showed stable or increased visual acuity after the ALT surgery compared to their preoperative visual acuity. All of the grafts were integrated into the superficial corneal layers without progression of corneal vascularization beyond the limbal grafts. The median follow-up period was 12 months on average. Conclusion The ALT method seems to be a promising surgical procedure for the treatment of patients with LSCD. It can be properly carried out in the context of keratoplasty and does not require a separate donor tissue. The ALT grafts may offer the possibility of constructing a new limbal region, resulting in stable or even increased visual acuity and the absence of corneal vascularization.

Until 2010, the Halle university hospital used the limbal approach in strabismus operations to open the conjunctiva, as first described by Harms in 1949. In 2010, this was changed the to a modified radial incision technique, as inspired by the fornix incision of Harms and the "minimally invasive strabismus surgery" (MISS) technique of D. S. Mojon. The indication is the reduction in complications and protection of the conjunctiva.A retrospective analysis was performed of cases between 2008 and March 2014 was performed, including a total of 258 patients. 109 patients were treated with the limbal approach and 149 patients with the radial cut. The following aspects were included for comparison: the medium-term control of the squint angle after three months, intra- and postoperative number of complications, duration of the operations. A survey collected the reasons for not taking part in follow-up checks and the alignment of these patients. To compare binary variables, the chi-square-test was used and to compare average terms the unpaired t test, with a level of significance of 0.05%.The results of the postoperative square angles were comparable to both each other as to the literature. The number of complications was kept low in both techniques. The duration of the operations under the radial incision technique was clearly higher. However, throughout the observed years the duration of operations turned out to have decreased. The reasons for not taking part in controls were diverse and the alignment of these patients was high, regardless of the incision technique.The limbal approach was a well-proven method to open the conjunctiva. After changing to the radial incision technique, there was never a negative influence on the results of the surgeries or the rate of complications. The duration of the operations was extended. Superiority of the new technique was not shown. Im Jahr 2010 erfolgte die Umstellung auf eine modifizierte radiäre Schnitttechnik, angelehnt an den Fornixschnitt nach Parks und der MISS-Technik (MISS: „minimally invasive strabismus surgery“) nach D. S. Mojon. Die Indikation besteht in der Reduktion der Komplikationen und Schonung der Konjunktiva.Es erfolgte eine retrospektive Analyse aus den Jahren 2008, 2010 bis März 2014. Ebenso blieben die Anteile der Komplikationen bei beiden Techniken niedrig. Die Dauer der Operation war unter dem radiären Schnitt verlängert. Während die Gründe für das Nichtwahrnehmen der Nachkontrolle vielfältig waren, war die Zufriedenheit dieser Patienten unabhängig von der Schnitttechnik hoch.Die Türflügelschnitttechnik war eine gut erprobte Methode zur Eröffnung der Bindehaut. Nach der Umstellung auf den radiären Schnitt bestand zu keiner Zeit ein negativer Einfluss auf das Operationsergebnis oder die Komplikationsrate. Die Operationsdauer unter radiärem Schnitt war verlängert. Eine Überlegenheit der neuen Schnitttechnik konnte nicht gezeigt werden. Sie kann jedoch eine Alternative darstellen, da sie die Bindehaut schont und spätere Glaukomoperationen ermöglicht.

ZusammenfassungDie Sensitivität der konfokalen Mikroskopie liegt zwischen 80 und 90% und damit über der Sensitivität der Erregeridentifizierung mittels Kultur. Typischerweise kann mittels in vivo konfokaler Mikroskopie bereits am Tag der Aufnahme eine mykotische Keratitis nicht invasiv und atraumatisch diagnostiziert werden. Wir stellen eine Patientin vor mit einem Hornhautulkus im Bereich des Transplantats, ausgeprägter Hornhaut-Endothel-Epithel-Dekompensation (HEED) und retrokornealen Pilzzapfen bei Zustand nach Re-Keratoplastik vor 5 Jahren bei chronischer Transplantatabstoßungsreaktion wegen HEED bei Fuchsʼscher Endotheldystrophie. Klinisch bestand der Verdacht auf eine mykotische Keratitis. Die konventionelle en face konfokale Mikroskopie zeigte initial keine Pilzhyphen. Aufgrund des ausgeprägten Hornhautödems konnten wir erst nach einer Re-Re-Keratoplastik mittels der invertierten in vitro konfokalen Mikroskopie die Pilzhyphen im hinteren Hornhautstroma am Operationstag nachweisen. Die Histologie bestätigte die Diagnose der Keratomykose.

An 85-year-old male patient receiving hormone therapy for prostate cancer and secondary open-angle pseudoexfoliation glaucoma developed peripheral choroidal detachment in both eyes. The patient had been admitted to the eye hospital for clarification of a vascular occlusion in the left eye. Cerebral magnetic resonance imaging could exclude metastases and a cerebral space-occupying lesion as the cause of the ocular findings. The local antiglaucomatous treatment was interrupted and as a result the intraocular pressure normalized and the choroidal detachment receded completely. Patients with prostate cancer who receive hormone therapy should also undergo regular ophthalmological screening including funduscopy and measurment of intraocular pressure.

ZusammenfassungVerletzungen des medialen Lidwinkels können alle Abschnitte der ableitenden Tränenwege (TNW) involvieren. Je nach Alter der Patienten finden sich typische Verletzungsmuster. Die chirurgische Tränenwegsrekonstruktion durch 2 autostabile („selbsthaltende“) monokanalikulonasale Silikonverweilsonden soll anhand von 2 Fallberichten beschrieben werden. Ein 6 Jahre altes Mädchen zeigte infolge eines Hundebisses (Rottweiler) neben schwerwiegenden Kopfverletzungen eine tiefe periokuläre Weichteilwunde mit Tränenwegsbeteiligung. Der Canaliculus lacrimalis inferior war durchtrennt und der Canaliculus lacrimalis communis war vom Tränensack abgerissen. Schwerste Weichteilverletzungen ausgehend vom Unterlid erstreckten sich bis zur Wange und Nase. Mittels nahtfixierten monokanalikulonasalen Silikonverweilsonden und Kanalikulusnähten sowie einer schichtweisen Weichteilrekonstruktion wurden die TNW und das Lid rekonstruiert. 18 Monate postoperativ zeigt sich eine diskrete Depression der medialen Unterlidkante bei sonst guter Funktion. Der 2. Fall berichtet von einem 43 Jahre alten Fleischereifachangestellten, der sich mit einem Messer eine tiefe Wunde des medialen Lidwinkels zuzog. Bei dem erwachsenen Patienten waren beide Tränenröhrchen weit proximal (sakkusnah) sowie das mediale Lidbändchen und der M. orbicularis oculi durchtrennt. Nach Einbringen zweier monokanalikulonasaler Silikonverweilsonden wurde eine mikrochirurgische Rekonstruktion vorgenommen. Das Follow-up bei diesem Patienten beträgt 6 Monate. Klinisch und funktionell bestand abschließend bei beiden Patienten kein Anhalt für eine Tränenabflussstörung. Zeitgleich können mehrere Abschnitte der TNW verletzt sein. Das Erkennen und das korrekte Zuordnen des Verletzungsmusters in Hinblick auf Schädigungsart, ‑grad und die anatomische Lokalisation sind grundlegend für eine adäquate Rekonstruktion der TNW. Ein schichtweiser Wundverschluss von innen nach außen unter Berücksichtigung der topografischen Anatomie ist obligat. Die Wiederherstellung der funktionellen Einheit von Lidern und TNW ist hierbei anzustreben. Autostabile monokanalikulonasale Silikonverweilsonden können nach Trauma zur Schienung beider Tränenröhrchen sowohl bei Kindern als auch Erwachsenen zur Anwendung kommen.

Das „pyogene Granulom“ gehort zu den gelaufigen palpebralen Pseudotumoren. Das zumeist typische klinische Bild, verbunden mit einer entsprechenden Anamnese mit stattgehabter Entzundung (Hordeolum/Chalazion), kann die Notwendigkeit einer histopathologischen Abklarung als uberflussig erscheinen lassen. Anhand einer Kasuistik wird ein metastasiertes Nierenzellkarzinom als uberraschende Differenzialdiagnose zu einem entzundlichen Pseudotumor des Augenlides dargestellt. Ein 72 Jahre alter Mann wurde zur chirurgischen Entfernung eines „pyogenen Granuloms“ vorgestellt. Es zeigte sich eine nodular-gestielte Raumforderung, ausgehend vom inneren Lidblatt im Bereich des medialen Unterlides des linken Auges. Zum Zeitpunkt der Vorstellung erhielt der Mann eine adjuvante Systemtherapie (Cabozantinib) bei lymphonodal und pulmonal metastasiertem klarzelligem Nierenzellkarzinom. Die Veranderung des Augenlides wurde reseziert und zur histopathologischen Aufarbeitung eingesandt. Hier zeigte sich das Zellbild einer sarkomatoid entdifferenzierten Metastase im Rahmen der genannten Grunderkrankung. Nach 4 Wochen kam es an gleicher Stelle zu einem grosenprogredienten Lokalrezidiv. Der Lidtumor wurde erneut reseziert und histopathologisch untersucht. Die Metastase war nochmals gewachsen. Daraufhin wurde die onkologische Klinik kontaktiert, um eine Umstellung der Systemtherapie einzuleiten. Nach Neueinstellung der Therapie mit Nivolumab kam es zu keinem erneuten Lokalrezidiv. Das Follow-up betragt nunmehr 18 Monate. Die Grundkrankheit ist seither kontrolliert. Auch klinisch vermeintlich eindeutig einzustufende tumorose periokulare Veranderungen bedurfen einer histopathologischen Abklarung. Eine interdisziplinare Re-Evaluierung mit Umstellung der Systemtherapie ermoglichte eine bessere Patientenversorgung.

Subhyaloidale pramakulare Blutungen (SPB) fuhren zu einem akuten schmerzlosen Visusverlust mit Zentralskotom. Typischerweise liegen vaskulare Erkrankungen der Netzhaut oder eine Valsalva-Retinopathie ursachlich zugrunde. Ein okulares Trauma ist eine seltene Ursache fur eine SPB. Ein Fallbericht eines 54-jahrigen Mannes, welcher im Rahmen eines Autounfalls stark mit der Stirn aufprallte, wird vorgestellt. Im Rahmen eines Autounfalls war es zu einer starken abrupten Dezeleration des Kopfes durch einen Aufprall auf der Windschutzscheibe gekommen. Die Augen wurden nicht direkt traumatisiert. Der Visus auf dem betroffenen linken Auge betrug initial 0,1. Das rechte Auge wies einen Visus von 1,0 auf. Fundoskopisch zeigte sich eine inkomplette Abhebung des hinteren Glaskorpers mit Ruptur eines venosen Netzhautgefases des temporal oberen Gefasbogens mit prominenter SPB und zystoidem Makulaodem (ZMO). Am Folgetag wurde eine Neodym-dotierte Yttrium-Aluminium-Granat(Nd:YAG)-Laser-Membranotomie im Bereich des hinteren Glaskorperkortex vorgenommen. Der Visus stieg auf 0,32 am Folgetag, sowie 1,0 bzw. 1,25 nach 3 bzw. 6 Monaten an. Durch Akzeleration und nachfolgende Dezeleration kann eine relevante Kraftubertragung im Bereich der vitreoretinalen Grenzflache als indirektes Trauma resultieren. Die Nd:YAG-Laser-Membranotomie stellt eine minimal-invasive und effektive Therapieoption fur eine SPB nach indirektem Trauma dar.

Purpose To investigate the cytotoxic effect of bleomycin, mitomycin C (MMC) and Fluorouracil (5‐FU) in combination with electroporation (EP) on human conjunctival melanoma (CM) and normal conjunctival cell lines using 2D and 3D cell culture systems in vitro. Methods Two CM (CRMM1, CRMM2) and one normal conjunctival epithelial cell line (HCjE‐Gi) were treated with various EP conditions and increasing concentrations of 5‐FU, MMC and bleomycin. Cell survival was assessed by MTT viability assay. All cell lines were seeded to create spheroids and were treated with bleomycin on day 3 and day 8 combined with EP. Spheroids were collected, fixed in buffered formalin and subsequently paraffin embedded for histological assessment of the effects of the treatment on cell viability. Results CM cell lines were resistant to electroporation alone and showed a reduction in cell number only when treated with 1000 Volts/cm and 8 pulses. HCjE‐Gi cells showed higher sensitivity to electric pulses over 750 Volts/cm. MMC and 5‐FU demonstrated a higher cytotoxicity for the HCjE‐Gi cell line. The CM cell lines were resistant to MMC and 5‐FU. Bleomycin (1 μg/ml) alone had no significant effect on the HCjE‐Gi even when combined with EP conditions ≥750 Volts/cm. In contrast, it significantly (p ‐, paired t‐test) reduced cell viability in the CM cell lines. Spheroids treated with bleomycin and EP showed a reduction in tumour mass and proliferation rates after treatment. Conclusion Our in vitro study using 2D and 3D models indicates that the application of EP may effectively enhance chemotherapy with bleomycin in CM. This may offer new viable perspectives for CM treatment.

Penetrating keratoplasty (PK) gets more and more reserved to cases of increasing complexity. In such cases, ocular comorbidities may limit graft survival following PK. A major cause for graft failure is endothelial graft rejection. Suture removal is a known risk factor for graft rejection. Nevertheless, there is no evidence-based regimen for rejection prophylaxis following suture removal. Therefore, a survey of rejection prophylaxis was conducted at 7 German keratoplasty centres.The aim of the study was documentation of the variability of medicinal aftercare following suture removal in Germany.Seven German keratoplasty centres with the highest numbers for PK were selected. The centres were sent a survey consisting of half-open questions. The centres performed a mean of 140 PK in 2018. The return rate was 100%. The findings were tabulated.All centres perform a double-running cross-stitch suture for standard PK, as well as a treatment for rejection prophylaxis with topical steroids after suture removal. There are differences in intensity (1 - 5 times daily) and tapering (2 - 20 weeks) of the topical steroids following suture removal. Two centres additionally use systemic steroids for a few days.Rejection prophylaxis following PK is currently poorly standardised and not evidence-based. All included centres perform medical aftercare following suture removal. It is assumed that different treatment strategies show different cost-benefit ratios. In the face of the diversity, a systematic analysis is required to develop an optimised regimen for all patients.Heutzutage bleibt die perforierende Keratoplastik (pKP) immer komplizierteren Ausgangssituationen vorbehalten. Die Komorbiditäten bergen oft Risiken, welche die Überlebensrate der perforierend operierten Transplantate limitieren. Die häufigste Ursache für das Versagen eines Hornhauttransplantates ist die endotheliale Immunreaktion. Die Fadenentfernung nach pKP ist als Risikofaktor für eine Abstoßung bekannt. Dennoch existiert keine evidenzbasierte Empfehlung zur Prophylaxe der Abstoßung im Rahmen der Fadenentfernung. Daher wurde eine Umfrage an 7 deutschen Keratoplastikzentren zu diesem Thema durchgeführt.Ziel der Studie ist die Dokumentation der Variabilität der medikamentösen Nachsorge nach Fadenentfernung in Deutschland.Aus dem Deutschen Keratoplastikregister wurden die 7 Zentren mit den größten Operationszahlen für perforierende Eingriffe ausgewählt und mit einem halboffenen Fragebogen angeschrieben. Die Zentren hatten in 2018 durchschnittlich jeweils 140 pKP durchgeführt. Der Rücklauf betrug 100%. Zur deskriptiven Auswertung wurde eine Tabelle erstellt.Alle Zentren wenden im Standardfall die doppelt fortlaufende Kreuzstichnaht nach Hoffmann an und führen eine Abstoßungsprophylaxe mit topischen Steroiden nach Fadenentfernung durch. Unterschiede zeigen sich hinsichtlich der Intensität (1 – 5 × tgl.) und Ausschleichdauer (2 – 20 Wochen) der topischen Steroidtherapie nach Fadenentfernung. Zwei Zentren wenden zusätzlich kurzfristig systemisches Steroid an.Die Nachbehandlung der Fadenentfernung nach pKP ist aktuell wenig standardisiert und nicht evidenzbasiert. Alle befragten Zentren indizieren eine medikamentöse Nachbehandlung nach Fadenentfernung. Es ist davon auszugehen, dass die jeweiligen Regimes unterschiedlich günstige Kosten-Nutzen-Eigenschaften aufweisen. Angesichts der Diversität ist eine systematische Untersuchung der Ergebnisse angezeigt, um ein optimiertes Schema für alle Patienten zu entwickeln.

Trauma of the medial canthal region can affect all parts of the lacrimal ducts. Depending on the patient's age, there may be different mechanisms of injury. Surgical reconstruction using two autostable ("self-retaining") monocanaliculonasal lacrimal tubes is demonstrated by two case reports. Here, a 6 years old girl attacked by a dog (Rottweiler) showed severe periocular soft tissue damage with deep involvement of the lacrimal ducts. The child's inferior canaliculus was lacerated. Furthermore, the common canaliculus was dissected from the lacrimal sac. Deep soft tissue damage consisted of blunt and sharp injuries down to the cheek and nose. After lacrimal intubation with two autostable monocanaliculonasal tubes, the soft tissue was reconstructed by direct canalicular suturing and stepwise closure of each layer. One of the lacrimal tubes was fixated at the lid by additional sutures, in order to avoid stent prolapse. Beside slight medial depression of inferior lid, there were no signs of functional disturbance of the lacrimal ducts. The follow-up was 18 months. The second case report presents a 43 years old man. He accidentally cut himself with a butcher's knife. He suffered a deep wound of his medial canthal region. The patient presented with proximal (located near the lacrimal sac) laceration of both canaliculi. The medial canthal ligament as well as the orbicularis muscle had been cut. Using two autostable monocanaliculonasal lacrimal tubes, the lacrimal ducts were stented and reconstructed with sutures. During the follow-up of 6 months, no epiphora or mucopurulent lacrimal discharge occurred. In lacrimal trauma, different parts of the lacrimal ducts may be affected at the same time. Identification of the injured structures with respect to the kind of injury, localisation and the extent of damage is crucial. Stepwise wound closure in respect to the topographic anatomy is mandatory. Here, lid and lacrimal ducts must be respected as one functional unit. Simultaneous use of autostable monocanaliculonasal lacrimal tubes in both canaliculi can be applied for trauma reconstruction of the lacrimal ducts in children and adults.Verletzungen des medialen Lidwinkels können alle Abschnitte der ableitenden Tränenwege (TNW) involvieren. Periocular injuries during a caesarean section are extremely rare. The case report of a five hour old newborn addresses the trauma management concerning diagnostics, therapy, and post-operative care of a deep periocular soft tissue injury. The pattern of injury consisted of full thickness wounds of the medial and lateral lid margins, opening of the superior conjunctival fornix, and penetration of Tenon's capsule. The reconstruction was performed layer by layer while an autostable monocanaliculonasal lacrimal intubation was inserted.Periokuläre Verletzungen im Rahmen einer Kaiserschnittentbindung sind extrem selten. Anhand einer Kasuistik eines 5 h alten Neugeborenen soll das Trauma-Management in Hinblick auf Diagnostik, Therapie und Nachsorge einer tiefen periokulären Weichteilwunde dargestellt werden. Das Verletzungsmuster umfasste durchgreifende Wunden des medialen und lateralen Lidwinkels mit Eröffnung der Bindehautumschlagsfalte, der Tenonkapsel und Durchtrennung des oberen Tränenröhrchens. Der schichtweise Wundverschluss beinhaltete eine autostabile monokanalikulonasale Intubation der ableitenden Tränenwege.

Intraocular epithelial downgrowth is a rare but potentially devastating posttraumatic complication. If left untreated, this may result in corneal decompensation, secondary angle-closure glaucoma, retinal detachment and blindness.A 10-year-old patient with penetrating globe injury and delayed wound management elsewhere presented with corneal melting and decompensation, retinal detachment and ocular hypotony. Following penetrating keratoplasty, cyclopexy and vitrectomy, corneal melting in the interface with renewed retinal detachment was noted within days. The hopeless prognosis required enucleation of the globe.Optical coherence tomography revealed not only corneal melting, but also markedly hyperreflective structures posterior to the cornea. Immunohistology demonstrated diffuse multi-layered nonkeratinised squamous cell epithelium on the posterior corneal surface, iris, ciliary bodies, and retina, as well as below the choroid, with renewed tractional retinal detachment.Posttraumatic epithelial downgrowth may result in tractional retinal detachment, cyclodialysis cleft and/or corneal melting. Hyperreflective membrane deposits on OCT may be indicative of diffuse epithelial downgrowth. Especially in children, prompt wound closure in globe injuries is vital to avoid this serious posttraumatic complication.Die intraokuläre Epithelinvasion stellt eine seltene, aber schwere posttraumatische Komplikation dar. Unbehandelt kann sie zu Hornhautdekompensation, sekundärem Winkelblockglaukom, Netzhautablösungen und Erblindung führen.Ein 10-jähriger Patient mit extern zeitlich verzögerter Wundversorgung einer penetrierenden Bulbusverletzung litt an Hornhauteinschmelzung und -dekompensation, Netzhautablösung und Bulbushypotonie. Nach perforierender Keratoplastik, Zyklopexie und Vitrektomie zeigte sich innerhalb weniger Tage eine Hornhauteinschmelzung im Interface mit erneuter Netzhautablösung. Der Bulbus wurde bei infauster Prognose enukleiert.Die optische Kohärenztomografie (OCT) zeigte neben der Hornhauteinschmelzung retrokorneal stark hyperreflektive Strukturen. Es zeigte sich eine diffuse Epithelinvasion retrokorneal, auf Iris, Ziliarkörper, Netzhaut und unter der Aderhaut mit erneuter, traktiver Ablatio retinae.Posttraumatisch kann eine Epithelinvasion zur traktiven Ablatio retinae, Ziliarkörperabhebung bzw. Hornhauteinschmelzung führen. Hyperreflektive Membranauflagerungen im OCT können hinweisgebend auf eine diffuse Epithelinvasion sein. Gerade bei Kindern sollte bei Bulbusverletzungen größter Wert auf zeitnahen Wundverschluss gelegt werden, um diese posttraumatische Komplikation zu vermeiden.

Cyclophotocoagulation (CPC) is a simple noninvasive and quickly available procedure for lowering intraocular pressure but due to its dreaded potential for complications it continues to play an outsider role in surgical treatment planning. The Micropulse-CPC promises to be a more tissue-friendly and less painful procedure and thus a lower rate of side effects.Retrospective evaluation of all patients who were treated with the Micropulse-CPC laser at the measurement times 1 day preoperatively, 2 days postoperatively, after 3 months and 6 months.Between 2018 and 2019 a total of 63 eyes in 46 patients were treated. The mean intraocular pressure in the total collective was 20.6 mm Hg before surgery and decreased to 13.5 mm Hg 2 days after surgery, 16.2 mm Hg after 3 months and 14.6 mm Hg after 6 months (p 0.002). An average of 3.2 hypotensive substances were used preoperatively, 2.4 substances 2 days postoperatively, 2.6 substances after 3 months and 2.8 after 6 months (p 0.001). The visual acuity (VA) before surgery was 0.59 logMAR, 2 days postoperatively VA was 0.60, after 3 months 0.59 and after 6 months VA was 0.5 (statistically not significant). A complication (subconjunctival bleeding) occurred intraoperatively and the postoperative complication rate was 0%.Treatment with a Micropulse-CPC laser offers a gentle way of reducing pressure in a timely manner. The use of the Micropulse-CPC is advocated as a first surgical option as well as for patients with good visual acuity.HINTERGRUND: Die Zyklophotokoagulation (CPC) ist ein einfaches, nichtinvasives und schnell verfügbares Verfahren zur Augendrucksenkung, nimmt aber aufgrund ihres gefürchteten Komplikationspotenzials weiterhin eine Außenseiterrolle bei der operativen Therapieplanung ein. Die Mikropuls-CPC verspricht ein gewebeschonenderes sowie schmerzärmeres Vorgehen mit weniger Nebenwirkungen.Retrospektive Auswertung der Patienten, die mit dem Mikropuls-CPC-Laser behandelt wurden, zu den Messzeitpunkten 1 Tag präoperativ, 2 Tage postoperativ sowie nach 3 und 6 Monaten.Zwischen 2018 und 2019 wurden 63 Augen von 46 Patienten behandelt. Der Visus lag vor Operation bei 0,59 logMAR, 2 Tage postoperativ bei 0,60, nach 3 Monaten bei 0,59 und nach 6 Monaten bei 0,5 (statistisch nicht signifikant). Intraoperativ ereignete sich eine Komplikation (Hyposphagma), die postoperative Komplikationsrate lag bei 0 %.Die Behandlung mit einem Mikropuls-CPC-Laser bietet eine schonende Möglichkeit der zeitnahen Drucksenkung. Der Einsatz der Mikropuls-CPC sowohl als erste chirurgische Therapieoption als auch bei Patienten mit gutem Visus wird von uns befürwortet.
