The primary objective of this research paper is to investigate the main reasons that prevent students from visiting the library at the university. It seeks to answer the question why library at the campus has become a desolate place for the students to study in. A triangulation method of data collection was used, namely, a questionnaire for two groups of students at Ahfad University for Women, structured- interview with the Director and its deputy of AL-hafeed library, and analysis of the record of the number of occurrences of visiting the library by the students. The Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) was used to analyze the student's questionnaire. As for the interview with the Director and its deputy of Al-hafeed library, it was analyzed grounded upon the main themes. As far as the number of visits by the students to the library is concerned, it was analyzed based on the simple statistical calculations. The main finding of this study can be summarized as follows: Students do not visit the library primarily because they look for the information they need on their smart phones. A second reason is that teachers do not encourage students to visit the library through giving them assignments in order to look for the information in the library as well as students rely heavily on the power point presentation handouts being given by their teachers after the end of each lesson. Finally, students are not well-trained to visit the library because of the previous learning experience that impacts negatively on their behavior to visit the library.
