Background Rating of perceived exertion (RPE) is considered a valid method for prescribing prolonged aerobic steady-state exercise (SSE) intensity due to its association with physiological indicators of exercise intensity, such as oxygen uptake (V̇O2) or heart rate (HR). However, these associations between psychological and physiological indicators of exercise intensity were found during graded exercise tests (GXT) but are currently used to prescribe SSE intensity even though the transferability and validity of the relationships found during GXT to SSE were not investigated. The present study aims to verify whether (a) RPE-HR or RPE-V̇O2 relations found during GXTs are valid during SSEs, and (b) the duration and intensity of SSE affect these relations. Methods Eight healthy and physically active males (age 22.6 ± 1.2 years) were enrolled. On the first visit, pre-exercise (during 20 min standing) and maximal (during a GXT) HR and V̇O2 values were measured. Then, on separate days, participants performed 4 SSEs on the treadmill by running at 60% and 80% of the HR reserve (HRR) for 15 and 45 min (random order). Individual linear regressions between GXTs’ RPE (dependent variable) and HRR and V̇O2 reserve (V̇O2R) values (computed as the difference between maximal and pre-exercise values) were used to predict the RPE associated with %HRR (RPEHRR) and %V̇O2R (RPEV̇O2R) during the SSEs. For each relation (RPE-%HRR and RPE-%V̇O2R), a three-way factorial repeated measures ANOVA (α = 0.05) was used to assess if RPE (dependent variable) was affected by exercise modality (i.e., RPE recorded during SSE [RPESSE] or GXT-predicted), duration (i.e., 15 or 45 min), and intensity (i.e., 60% or 80% of HRR). Results The differences between RPESSE and GXT-predicted RPE, which were assessed by evaluating the effect of modality and its interactions with SSE intensity and duration, showed no significant differences between RPESSE and RPEHRR. However, when RPESSE was compared with RPEV̇O2R, although modality or its interactions with intensity were not significant, there was a significant (p = 0.020) interaction effect of modality and duration yielding a dissociation between changes of RPESSE and RPEV̇O2R over time. Indeed, RPESSE did not change significantly (p = 0.054) from SSE of 15 min (12.1 ± 2.0) to SSE of 45 min (13.5 ± 2.1), with a mean change of 1.4 ± 1.8, whereas RPEV̇O2R decreased significantly (p = 0.022) from SSE of 15 min (13.7 ± 3.2) to SSE of 45 min (12.4 ± 2.8), with a mean change of −1.3 ± 1.5. Conclusion The transferability of the individual relationships between RPE and physiological parameters found during GXT to SSE should not be assumed as shown by the results of this study. Therefore, future studies modelling how the exercise prescription method used (e.g., RPE, HR, or V̇O2) and SSE characteristics (e.g., exercise intensity, duration, or modality) affect the relationships between RPE and physiological parameters are warranted.

Exercise in its components integrates perfectly at an interdisciplinary level by promoting recreational-recreational, relational, emotional actions, capable of soliciting a correct relationship with the natural environment. The scouting pedagogy is analyzed to understand the pedagogical methods of directing the boy's evolutionary personality towards the Inter sensorial unit and the most authentic meaning of these activities in a natural environment. Reality is considered as an emotional experience that implies the possibility of an involvement of all senses, modulated according to their magical polyphony.

The effects of exercise training have never been investigated in centenarians. This single-subject research study aimed to assess the effects of a structured training protocol on functional capacities in a centenarian master athlete. A 99.5 years old male subject participated in the study. Before and after a 16-month training intervention the participant underwent a test battery for flexibility (YMCA sit and reach), balance (single leg stance), upper limb strength (hand grip and pinch strength), and lower limb power (counter movement jump) and muscular endurance (horizontal leg press with 85 kg load). After training, sit and reach (-3 cm) and counter movement jump (- 0.5 cm) scores decreased, whereas single leg stance (+1.3 s), left hand grip (+2.0 kg), right hand pinch (+ 0.5 kg), and horizontal leg press (+2 repetitions) scores increased. Right hand grip strength and left-hand pinch strength did not change after training. When pre- and post-training scores were compared to gender-matched normative values, flexibility resulted well below average, maybe because of a relatively broad age category (> 65 years). When more specific age categories were available, the participant’s balance resulted slightly below average (age category 80-99 years) and upper limb strength above average (age category > 85 years). No normative values were found for lower limb power and muscular endurance. In conclusion, this study highlights that structured exercise training may play a role in maintaining – and even in increasing – functional capacities in the oldest old age.

Prison has a general preventive purpose that aims to highlight the negativity of the crime committed. Re-education is not a guaranteed outcome, as the outcome of an educational process never is, but rather a ‘bet’ that society makes with itself on a possible, but never certain outcome. With motor activity, typical sedentary diseases (obesity, malabsorption syndrome, diabetes, cardiovascular diseases) are prevented. The social value of sporting activity must also be associated with this, as it stimulates socialisation, team spirit, respect for and sharing of rules, and the stimulus and motivation to achieve positive goals while respecting others. In this study, conducted on inmates of Fossombrone prison, the aim was to investigate the possible correlations between the level of physical activity, body image and well-being, and the role that physical activity plays within prison institutions. However, the idea is confirmed that physical activity for prisoners is very important both from a psycho-physical and re-educational point of view because it allows them to move and vent stress, conveys important values, teaches commitment to achieve objectives, increases self-esteem and improves lifestyle by limiting the onset of frequent pathologies found in prison facilities.

Background The percentages of heart rate (%HRR) or oxygen uptake (%V̇O2R) reserve are used interchangeably for prescribing aerobic exercise intensity due to their assumed 1:1 relationship, although its validity is debated. This study aimed to assess if %HRR and %V̇O2R show a 1:1 relationship during steady-state exercise (SSE) and if exercise intensity and duration affect their relationship. Methods Eight physically active males (age 22.6 ± 1.2 years) were enrolled. Pre-exercise and maximal HR and V̇O2 were assessed on the first day. In the following 4 days, different SSEs were performed (running) combining the following randomly assigned durations and intensities: 15 min, 45 min, 60% HRR, 80% HRR. Post-exercise maximal HR and V̇O2 were assessed after each SSE. Using pre-exercise and post-exercise maximal values, the average HR and V̇O2 of the last 5 min of each SSE were converted into percentages of the reserves (%RES), which were computed in a 3-way RM-ANOVA (α = 0.05) to assess if they were affected by the prescription parameter (HRR or V̇O2R), exercise intensity (60% or 80% HRR), and duration (15 or 45 min). Results The %RES values were not affected by the prescription parameter (p = 0.056) or its interactions with intensity (p = 0.319) or duration and intensity (p = 0.117), while parameter and duration interaction was significant (p = 0.009). %HRRs and %V̇O2Rs did not differ in the 15-min SSEs (mean difference [MD] = 0.7 percentage points, p = 0.717), whereas %HRR was higher than %V̇O2R in the 45-min SSEs (MD = 6.7 percentage points, p = 0.009). Conclusion SSE duration affects the %HRR-%V̇O2R relationship, with %HRRs higher than %V̇O2Rs in SSEs of longer duration.

Slackline has been proposed as a challenging and motivating tool for balance training. However, the transferability of balance performances among different balance tasks has been questioned. This study aimed to assess if slackline training affects dynamic and static balance performances on stable and unstable surfaces. Eighteen healthy males (8 to 14 years) were randomly assigned to an experimental or control group. For six weeks, both groups performed several supervised sports activities (2-hour sessions, 3 sessions per week). Additionally, the experimental group underwent a slackline-based balance training (1-hour sessions, 3 sessions per week). The dynamic and static balance were tested before and after the interventions using the Bass test (BASS) and the Stork stand test (SST), respectively. Landing (BASSlanding) and balance (BASSbalance) components of the dynamic balance were evaluated, while the static balance was assessed with eyes open (SSTopen) and closed (SSTclosed) on a stable surface, and with eyes open on an air cushion (SSTac). Two-way mixed-design ANOVAs revealed no interaction effect between time and group allocation in BASSlanding (p = .791), BASSbalance (p = .641), and right leg SSTopen (p = .177), SSTclosed (p = .076) and SSTac (p = .039), and left leg SSTopen (p = .100) and SSTclosed (p = .032). There was a significant interaction on left leg SSTac (p = .004), showing higher improvements over time in the experimental (mean improvement = 4.5 seconds, p < .001) compared to the control group (mean improvement = 0.9 seconds, p = .236). In conclusion, slackline balance training yielded no or negligible improvements on dynamic balance performances, whereas the improvements seemed higher on static balance, especially when measured on an unstable surface.

ObjectiveThe intensity of barbell bench press exercise is generally prescribed as the load to be lifted for a specific number of repetitions; however, other factors (e.g., execution velocity) can affect bench press exercise intensity. Moreover, no study assessed whether load distribution (i.e., the distance between the disc stacks on the two sides of the barbell) affects exercise intensity. The present study aims to assess how different combinations of load, velocity, and barbell load distribution affect the number of repetitions to failure (REPfailure), and rating of perceived exertion (RPEfatigue) and number of repetitions (REPfatigue) at fatigue onset.MethodsTen males (age 23.3±1.8 years) performed bench press exercises to exhaustion using random combinations of three loads (50%, 65%, and 80% of 1 repetition maximum), three execution velocities (50%, 70%, and 90% of maximal concentric velocity), and two load distributions (narrow and wide). Three separate three-way repeated-measures ANOVAs were performed to assess the effect of load, velocity, and load distribution on REPfailure, RPEfatigue, and REPfatigue expressed as a percentage of REPfailure.ResultsREPfailure was affected by load (pConclusionThe current investigation shows that not only load but also velocity and barbell load distribution may influence bench press training volume and perceived exertion.

Soccer (football) practice can induce a limitation of ankle range of motion (ROM) that is a possible risk factor for injury and other negative consequences over time. The main objective of this research was to investigate the effects of soccer practice on ankle ROM throughout the entire period of a sports career of soccer players (SP). Furthermore, the relationship between ankle ROM and muscle strength in SP of different ages was studied. A total of 204 SP (range 6.7–45.1 years) and 87 controls (range: 7.5–45.2 years) matched for age, body mass index (BMI), and gender, were assessed. Ankle ROM in both plantar flexion (APF) and dorsiflexion (ADF) in addition to handgrip strength (HGS) were evaluated using an inclinometer and the Jamar hydraulic hand dynamometer, respectively. The comparison between SP and control groups showed a significant reduction in ankle ROM of both APF (26.3 ± 7.2° vs. 32.6 ± 7.4°; d = −0.90; p < 0.001) and ADF (95.5 ± 15.6° vs. 105.5 ± 15.8°; d = −0.66; p < 0.001). In SP, the results of the ANOVAs test indicate that age had a significant effect on ADF (F = 4.352, p = 0.038, partial eta-squared (ηp2) = 0.015) but not on APF (F = 0.430, p = 0.746, ηp2 = 0.001). Moreover, considering only the SP, a weak inverse correlation between ADF and HGS group ADF was found (rs = −0.27; p < 0.001). Factors such as the non-linear trend of growth in young SP could hinder the definition of the relationship between ankle ROM, age, and muscle strength. However, the appropriate consideration of age and muscle strength could facilitate the management of ankle ROM in PF of different ages.

In questo lavoro si prende in considerazione l’attività motoria in ambientale naturale, la sua efficacia per un corretto stile di vita; formazione e educazione, per uno sviluppo sostenibile dell’essere umano. Il filo conduttore è rappresentato dalla visione olistica e plurisistemica, che collega l’uomo al- l’ambiente con contenuti e percorsi interdisciplinari coordinati tra loro. Un’educazione ambientale che vede la scuola protagonista attraverso il movimento nell’acquisizione di valori, attitudini, esperienze con consapevolezza ed attenzione verso l’ambiente. Una scuola attiva con fini educativi ove è preminente il movimento nelle sue diverse forme, integrato con attività interdisciplinari di ricerca, osservazione, studio, esplorazione e scoperta dei fenomeni naturali. Al fine di comprenderne l’evoluzione in Italia, è stato utile inquadrare il problema in un ampio spazio storico e legislativo tentando un approccio e collegamento epistemologico onde ricercare una giusta sequenza metodologica e didattica di questo interessante binomio non solo culturalmente ma come autentico stile di vita.

Abstract Background Physical activity (PA) has health benefits for people with type 2 diabetes (T2D). Indeed, regular PA is considered an important part of any T2D management plan, yet most patients adopt a sedentary lifestyle. Exercise referral schemes (ERS) have the potential to effectively promote physical activity among T2D patients, and their effectiveness may be enhanced when they are supported by computer-based technologies. The ‘TRIPL-A’ study (i.e., a TRIal to promote PhysicaL Activity among patients in the young-old age affected by T2D) aims to assess if realizing an innovative ERS, based on a strong partnership among general practitioners, specialist physicians, exercise specialists, and patients, and supported by a web-based application (WBA), can effectively lead sedentary older T2D patients to adopt an active lifestyle. Methods A randomized controlled design will be used, and an ERS, supported by a WBA, will be implemented. 300 physically inactive T2D patients (aged 65–74 years) will be assigned to either an intervention or control arm. Control arm patients will only receive behavioral counseling on physical activity and diet, while intervention arm patients will also undergo an 18-month (3 day/week), discontinuously supervised aerobic exercise training program. The trial will be divided into six three-month periods: during first, third and fifth period, an exercise specialist will supervise the training sessions and, using the WBA, prescribe exercise progression and monitor exercise adherence. Patients will exercise on their own in the other periods. Patients’ sedentary behaviors (primary outcome), PA level, fitness status, metabolic profile, psychological well-being, quality of life, and use of health care services (secondary outcomes) will be assessed at baseline and at 6, 12, and 18 months from baseline. Repeated measure ANCOVAs will be used to compare the intervention and control arm with respect to each study outcome measure. Discussion Primary and secondary outcome results will allow us to evaluate the effectiveness of an ERS, specifically designed for the management of T2D clinical conditions and supported by a WBA, in promoting PA within Italian primary care settings. Trial registration This trial is retrospectively registered under the Australian New Zealand Clinical Trials Registry (reference number: ACTRN12618001164280; registered 13 July 2018).

Le carceri, nell’ideale costituzionale sono l’ultima risposta che uno Stato di diritto può dare nei confronti di una violazione. Un punto non di fine bensì inizio cui poter e dover ripartire. La concezione carceraria è profondamente mutata negli ultimi settant’anni abbracciando una logica di risocializzazione. Spesso, però, soltanto a parole: poi non suffragata da appositi stanziamenti finanziari, attenzione della pubblica opinione e spesso ad emergenze di cicli emergenziali. Sembra di essere sempre al punto di partenza ma molto è stato fatto: anche evoluzioni performative apparentemente inconciliabili come l’attività fisica, prendersi cura del proprio corpo, il movimento e lo sport trovano un plus-valore sociale, rieducativo, possibilità inclusive per la tutela della salute e del benessere per riconsegnare alla società una persona responsabilizzata e cosciente, capace a sua volta di restituire positività.

Nella società contemporanea sono presenti forti contraddizioni circa il concetto di ambiente. Sono molto enfatizzati l’ambientalismo, la sostenibilità, l’animalismo ma le occasioni di contatto con la natura sono pochissime soprattutto nelle giovani generazioni in quanto associate spesso al concetto di pericolo. Gli spazi pubblici, ostacolati da vincoli sociali e ambientali, specialmente quelli urbani, non sono alla portata dei piccoli e generano paure ed ansie nei genitori, educatori ed insegnanti; divieti, consigli e suggerimenti disturbano il rapporto libero e diretto del corpo del bambino con la natura. Questo lavoro di ricerca bibliografica vuole soffermarsi sugli enormi benefici, per tutti, del contatto con l’ambiente naturale in campo educativo, sociale, di sviluppo in salute e benessere. È determinante allora coltivare, sin dalla tenera età, l’innata affinità tra bambini e natura. Attraverso l’Outdoor Education (OE), analizzando soluzioni educative che richiamano l’azione di un sistema formativo integrato tra scuola e altre agenzie formative, si rifletterà, confrontando e valutando i dati raccolti in questa revisione, a scuola e nell’extrascuola, sulle conseguenti ricadute sociali, cognitive, su conoscenze, abilità e competenze.

Al giorno d’oggi nello sport si è sviluppato un modo di fare dove non c’è più posto per l’etica ed il fair play, dove vincere è l’unica cosa che conta, anche a discapito della propria integrità. Per eliminare questa consuetudine, è possibile partire dai giovani, dalle scuole e dagli educatori sportivi. L’educazione fisica e lo sport sono un elemento chiave per la crescita integrale della persona. Oltre a migliorare il benessere psicofisico, sono un mezzo per combattere l’ingiustizia sociale quando nelle scuole si aumenta il tempo dedicato alle attività fisiche e si forniscono competenze adeguate alle figure che li seguono. Oltre all’insegnante scolastico, questo compito ricade sull’educatore sportivo in veste di “Alleducatore”, con strumenti e conoscenze di natura pedagogica, psicologica e di comunicazione. Con il programma “Sport di Classe” in Italia e con il progetto Delfos in Spagna, si cerca di promuovere l’educazione fisica fin dalla scuola primaria favorendo i processi educativi e formativi delle giovani generazioni. Il Delfos, in particolare, include principi pedagogici, strategie di insegnamento e organizzazione di sessioni per migliorare il fair play, l’autocontrollo e attenuare i comportamenti violenti dei giovani. Attraverso questi programmi valoriali per i giovani è stato dimostrato che l’educazione fisica può sviluppare competenze socio-relazionali e valori etici che andranno ad influenzare lo sport negli adulti.

Negli sport di resistenza come il ciclismo la preparazione e predisposizione mentale dell’atleta è essenziale per superare e andare oltre la fatica e dolore che sono inalienabili dallo sport stesso. Quindi la componente mentale è correlata non solo con le prestazioni durante le competizioni, ma anche con la capacità di allenarsi al meglio. Di conseguenza la componente mentale sembra essere imprescindibile dal talento dell’atleta, il che suggerisce una forte correlazione tra i due parametri. Negli ultimi anni il modello di allenamento mentale SFERA viene utilizzato in alcuni sport di resistenza. Lo studio, di natura osservazionale, ha come obiettivo di valutare se in 30 ciclisti non professionisti (16-21 anni) i fattori della SFERA (i.e., sincronia, punti di forza, energia, ritmo e attivazione) sono in equilibrio tra loro. Le varie componenti psicologiche sono state valutate tramite uno specifico questionario (SFERA-Q). Sono emerse differenze tra i vari fattori all’interno della SFERA. Il ritmo risulta il fattore dominante, con i valori più elevati, mentre la sincronia e attivazione presentano valori minori tra i fattori della SFERA. In conclusione, questo studio ha mostrato che, in giovani ciclisti non professionisti, non è presente una condizione mentale ottimale ai fini del raggiungimento delle massime prestazioni. Questo ci fa presupporre che una preparazione psico-pedagogica mirata al riequilibro tra i vari fattori possa portare ad uno stato mentale ottimale e, di conseguenza a prestazioni migliori.

In questo studio è stato attuato un intervento motorio nelle prime e seconde classi della scuola primaria, analizzando l’associazione tra esercizio fisico, benefici motori e dell’autoefficacia. Centosette bambini tra i 6 e gli 8 anni sono stati assegnati ad un programma di educazione motoria potenziato di 6 mesi; l’ora curriculare è stata sostituita da due ore di sperimentazione. Le prove di pre e post intervento hanno valutato la capacità motoria (SHUTTLE RUN TEST) e la percezione dell’autoefficacia. I dati ottenuti sono stati confrontati prima e dopo l’intervento, nei soggetti impiegati nella sperimentazione e nel gruppo di controllo. Questi risultati evidenziano la possibilità di aumentare, mediante un’attività motoria potenziata, gli effetti positivi a livello motorio e della sfera cognitiva (autoefficacia).

Il seguente protocollo di ricerca è di natura descrittiva. Lo studio attraverso schede di valutazione vuole misurare quanto un programma d’allenamento motorio costruito ad hoc per combattere lo stress possa modificare: lo stato di salute psico-fisica e sociale, le pratiche motorie, gli stili di vita, e l’apprendimento di strategie individuali per un buon allenamento di un gruppo di 20 persone detenute che pratica attività sportiva all’interno del carcere di Barcaglione. Lo studio dà quindi adito ad impellenti questioni relative alla prevenzione e alla salute della persona detenuta, in linea con i principali studi di policy in materia di rieducazione in ambito di coercizione.

L’attività motoria in età evolutiva contribuisce a formare, istruire, comunicare. Una disciplina che racchiude non solo l’idea di movimento ma diviene aspetto motivazionale per l’apprendimento nonché educativo per il futuro uomo e cittadino. È una disciplina che ha una didattica trasversale capace di coordinarsi con gli altri saperi in prospettiva interdisciplinare. Pone l’accento anche sullo stato di ben-essere psico-fisico e attenzione all’alimentazione. Si vuole fare focus sul sistema scolastico finlandese in quanto per spazi, figure professionali e per organizzazione interna che lo caratterizza, è un esempio, un sistema scolastico in termini di Ricerca Alternativa del Movimento. Poiché la società che va verso il cambiamento non può opporsi alla scuola, per la quale non solo è ormai il tempo di subire cambiamenti, ma deve diventare una forza propulsiva di cambiamento, affinché le nostre scuole preparino il futuro per tutti.

La percezione di sé è influenzata dalla costituzione corporea, dal sesso, e dall’esercizio fisico. Non è chiaro, però, se gli effetti dell’esercizio derivino dal livello di attività fisica praticata o dal miglioramento delle capacità fisiche che esso determina. Pertanto questo studio ha indagato l’effetto, sia del livello di attività fisica che delle capacità fisiche sulla percezione fisica di sé, in funzione del sesso e della costituzione corporea, in studenti adolescenti. Il livello generale delle capacità fisiche di 188 adolescenti tra i 12 ed i 16 anni è stato valutato tramite una batteria di test motori, il livello di attività fisica è stato misurato con il questionario Physical Activity Questionnaire for Adolescents, mentre la percezione fisica di sé è stata valutata con il questionario Physical Self-Description Questionnaire Short. L’effetto del sesso e della costituzione fisica sono stati indagati tramite analisi della varianza considerando come covariate il livello di attività fisica e le capacità fisiche. I risultati evidenziano che essere in sovrappeso diminuisce la considerazione fisica generale di sé. Inoltre, la percezione di sé dei maschi è generalmente più alta delle femmine anche se questa non corrisponde a più elevate capacità fisiche o ad un maggior livello di attività fisica.

In ambito carcerario l’attività sportiva è parte integrante degli strumenti che affiancano i detenuti nel percorso di reinserimento nella società, ma le potenzialità di questo strumento sono forse poco sfruttate. In questo studio è stato attuato un intervento educativo di promozione del “fair play”, come modello comportamentale socialmente premiato, e ne sono stati valutati gli effetti sui comportamenti antisportivi messi in atto da 22 detenuti durante 20 partite di Calcio a 5. Il raffronto tra i falli commessi nelle 10 partite precedenti l’intervento e nelle 10 successive ha rivelato una significativa riduzione dei falli totali e dei falli volontari oltre che del numero totale di infortuni e dei tempi di interruzione di gioco. Questi risultati evidenziano la possibilità di potenziare, mediante semplici interventi pedagogici mirati, gli effetti positivi dello sport ai fini dell’adozione dei comportamenti socialmente accettati che stanno alla base del reinserimento nella società civile.

Physical fitness has salutary psychological and physical effects in older adults by promoting neuroplasticity and adaptation to stress. In aging, however, the effects of fitness on the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis are mixed. We investigated the association between cardiorespiratory fitness and HPA activity in healthy elderly men (n = 22, mean age 68 y; smokers, obese subjects, those taking drugs or reporting recent stressful events were excluded), by measuring in saliva: i) daily pattern of cortisol secretion (6 samples: 30' post-awakening, and at 12.00, 15.00, 18.00, 21.00, 24.00 h); and ii) the cortisol response to a mental challenge. Cardiorespiratory fitness (VO2max) was estimated using the Rockport Walking Test and the participants were assigned to high-fit (HF, ≥60°, n = 10) and low-fit (LF, ≤35°, n = 12) groups according to age-specific percentiles of VO2max distribution in the general population. At all daytimes, basal cortisol levels were lower in the HF than the LF group, most notably in the evening and midnight samples, with a significant main effect of physical fitness for cortisol levels overall; the area-under-the-curve for total daily cortisol output was significantly smaller in the HF group. Among the subjects who responded to mental stress (baseline-to-peak increment >1.5 nmol/L; n = 13, 5 LF, 8 HF), the amplitude of cortisol response and the steepness of recovery decline displayed an increasing trend in the HF subjects, although between-group differences failed to reach the threshold for significance. In conclusion, cardiorespiratory fitness in healthy aging men is negatively correlated with daily cortisol output and contributes to buffering the HPA dysregulation that occurs with advancing age, thus possibly playing a beneficial role in contrasting age-related cognitive and physical decline.

Nel rugby, come nella vita, si corre verso la meta: tutta la nostra vita tende a una meta. Questa ricerca è faticosa, richiede lotta e impegno; l’importante è non correre da soli. Lo sport è stato spesso utilizzato come metafora della vita ed effettivamente, proprio sulla base di un quadro normativo presentato dal Miur, è possibile evidenziare l’importanza dell’attività motoria nella scuola in un’ottica di integrazione, interdisciplinarità e trasversalità. Le attività motorie e sportive favoriscono il corretto sviluppo fisiologico, morfologico, emotivo, cognitivo e socio-relazionale della persona muovendo l’acquisizione di corretti stili di vita ed una competizione sana nel rispetto del compagno. Fondamentale è l’azione delle agenzie educative, le quali, in collaborazione tra loro, dovrebbero mirare allo sviluppo di una cultura dell’apprendimento reciproco che produca significati, una cultura dell’integrazione che esige una nuova comunicabilità. L’attenzione può rivolgersi ad uno sport che è amicizia, cultura, collaborazione, spettacolo, ma soprattutto fair play: il rugby. Il progetto di promozione rugbystica può essere un’occasione per tutti gli alunni; è un gioco sportivo poco conosciuto che si apprende facilmente, è una novità e come tale piace agli alunni. Il rugby migliora lo sviluppo sia delle capacità coordinative che di quelle condizionali, basando tutto sul contatto, infine è uno sport che non può fare a meno di alcuni valori fondamentali tra cui il rispettodella regola e dell’avversario*.

The main purpose of this paper is to highlight the socializing value of motor activity, a factor often overlooked in the planning of the Italian school. To achieve this goal, we developed a research project that can rigorously demonstrate a range of aspects that we believe interesting in school after training experiences in schools. In detail, we will present a course of socialization in classes at the beginning of primary school. To keep up-to-date with the everyday life, and after several researches in the area, we realized that a growing number of foreign students populate classes, so we decided to make a choice even though it may seem "uncomfortable" allowed us to expand our field of investigation to a reality that we can not escape. We worked in an area of "frontier", in fact, the project has been extended to the Institute located in the Municipality of Osimo. That presents a progressive increase in the number of foreign students, which accounted for 7.5% to 31/12/2009 of the resident population which consists of a total of 33000 inhabitants. Beyond the knowledge of the language of their adopted country, in the case of the Italian which is an essential prerequisite for an effective and successful school placement of foreign students, we give importance to recreational motor path in an effort to facilitate mutual understanding and social relationships in children of primary school. We also believe that the motor game, in our case, traditional and collaboration can respond to the need to be united to another, without creating an opposition between the players who are trying to achieve a common goal.
