In this study, a novel CO2 photocatalysis system was developed by modifying TiO2 as a photocatalyst and introducing CO2 nanobubble to the system. TiO2 photocatalyst is modified by adding CNCs as support to increase the surface area and adding nitrogen doping to reduce the band gap and minimize electron–hole recombination. CO2 nanobubbles are introduced to increase the surface area between the CO2 gas and liquid phases to reduce mass transfer limitations. Thus, the amount of CO2 in the liquid phase increases. Nanobubbles have been successfully generated by the hydrodynamic cavitation method, which produces bubbles with two size clusters, namely 200–400 nm, which belong to nanobubbles, and 2–10 um, which belong to microbubbles. The TiO2 has an anatase phase and crystallite size of 20.90 nm for TiO2/CNCs and 19.20 nm for N-TiO2/CNCs. The activity test without nitrogen doping produced a methanol product of 0.77 mmol/g catalyst, which shows that this multiphase CO2 photocatalytic system is feasible for CO2 photocatalytic reactions. The addition of nitrogen doping succeeded in reducing the band gap from 3.20 eV to 3.10 eV and increasing the methanol yield. The photocatalysis activity test with N-doped TiO2/CNCs resulted in a higher methanol yield, which is 1.13 mmol/g catalyst under UV-C irradiation for 6 hours.

Silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) are fascinating materials for biomedical applications thanks to their strong antibacterial activity and biocompatibility. This study applied the green synthesis method using 0.5 wt.% Seminyak leaf extract and assisted with one min microwave irradiation to enhance AgNPs formation. Extremely small sizes AgNPs with an average particle size of 9.1 ± 4.1 nm and spherical shapes were obtained. The synthesized AgNPs displayed potent antibacterial activity against Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus bacteria with a zone of inhibition of 12.3 ± 0.1 and 13.7 ± 0.7 mm, respectively. The MTT assay results demonstrated that the cells’ viability of the obtained AgNPs was 88.5 ± 7.0 %, implying biocompatibility for biomedical applications.

To overcome the difficulty and unprecedented suspensions due to the COVID-19 pandemic, every organization is required to consider strategic steps to sustain, one of which is by implementing digital transformation and developing leadership capability. This study aims to determine the impact of digital transformation and leadership capability in maintaining the organization, particularly in distance education. This study used questionnaires distributed to 402 students to obtain their opinions on digital transformation, leadership capability, and organizational resilience in Universitas Terbuka, a founder of distance education institutions in Indonesia. Data were analyzed using descriptive and Higher-Order Structural Equation Modeling analysis. Based on the modelling, it is shown that the modelling had a good value of the Goodness of Fit Indicator through a standardized loading factor (SLF) more than the tolerable loading factor limit (>0.50). The Variance Extracted (VE) and Construct Reliability (CR) values also showed that the questions on every indicator used in this study were sufficiently measurable and reliable. The results of hypothesis testing indicated that there was a positive and significant impact of digital transformation and leadership capability on the organizational resilience of Universitas Terbuka.

Polyelectrolyte complexes (PECs) are attractive materials for drug delivery application as they offer simple preparations and high drug-loading efficiency. In this study, a novel method for preparing polyelectrolyte complex nanoparticles using a simple mixing method of chitosan and poly-2-acrylamido-2-methylpropane sulfonic acid (PAMPS) solutions is presented. The effect of chitosan concentrations was examined by fixing the PAMPS concentration at 0.01 %w/v, while chitosan concentrations were varied from 0.01 to 0.05 %w/v. Based on dynamic light scattering (DLS) and zeta sizer results, increasing the chitosan concentration led to increased average PEC particle sizes with broader particle distributions from 249.1 (polydispersity index/PDI 0.13) to 318.2 nm (PDI 0.19) and changed the particle surface charges from -5.85±0.34 to 11.95±0.84 mV. The addition of glutaraldehyde (GA) followed by dialysis eliminated sodium chloride (NaCl) and produced spherical PEC nanoparticles, confirmed via scanning electron microscopy (SEM) results. Among those samples, PECs with a chitosan concentration of 0.01 %w/v are the most promising drug carrier materials due to their negative surface charges, which promote prolonged circulation time in the bloodstream.

Failure analysis of the petrochemical plant’s bank-wall side boiler tube has been conducted to determine the root cause of tube failure. The tube material is low carbon steel ASTM A178 grade A. Visual examinations of the cracked surface revealed that the fractured surface is flat, without plastic deformation, and several longitudinal and transverse fissures are present. The SEM and optical microscope examinations show that the cracks were intergranular and transgranular. A hydrogen attack caused the intergranular crack, and thermal fatigue produced the transgranular crack. Boiler tube failure was caused by a steam blanket on the sloping tube’s top inner diameter that induced iron oxide deposition and accumulation. Hydrogen was produced after a chemical reaction at the deposit-metal interface between the iron oxide deposit and ingress steam. Local temperature variation on the top part of the sloped tube occurred during the splashing and evaporation of water, promoting thermal fatigue.

The primary Waste Heat Boiler (WHB) in an ammonia plant experienced cap leaking and the outer tube rupture after ten months since the last repair and replacement (total retubing). The leaking cap and the outer tube materials are low carbon steel SA-204 Gr. B and SA-209 Gr. T1a. The inappropriate vertical part of the leaked cap, which is 2.4 mm shorter than the design, might trigger turbulence flow inside the cap and lead to flow-accelerated corrosion (FAC), as suggested by the appearance of wall thinning and horseshoe pattern in the inner surface. This condition is severed by improper cap material selection with low chromium content (0.01%), which is more susceptible to FAC. The local turbulence flow might erode the oxide layer at the cap bottom and accumulate the oxide deposit around the circumference weld joint and the nearest nail spacer in the tube, represented by a thick Fe3O4 deposit. The primary WHB outer tube failure might occur due to the lack of cooling from boiler water because of cap leakage combined with a thick Fe3O4 scale deposit on the nail spacer that causes significant local temperature increases on the failed tube, which resulted in yielding and thin-lip rupture.

Abstract: The government encourages Vocational High Schools to carry out organizational transformation to become Regional Public Service Bodies. Through BLUD, SMKs with superior products can manage finances and production processes more flexibly without violating regulations so that school effectiveness can be achieved. This study aims to analyze the factors that influence SMK-BLUD schools' effectiveness through school independence using partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) analysis. The data were obtained by distributing questionnaires to 231 respondents from students, teachers, school principals, and committees in 25 SMK-BLUDs in East Java and DKI Jakarta. It is known that the variables focus on customers, focus on processes, and continuous improvement have a positive and significant impact on school effectiveness. In addition, the independence of each school indirectly also has a positive and significant effect on school effectiveness. The results of this modeling show the value of Predictive Relevance (Q2) of 0.965, meaning that this model has a good Predictive Relevance. Abstrak: Pemerintah mendorong Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) melakukan transformasi organisasi untuk menjadi SMK Badan Layanan Umum Daerah (SMK-BLUD). Melalui BLUD, SMK yang memiliki produk-produk unggulan dapat mengelola keuangan dan proses produksi secara lebih fleksibel tanpa melanggar peraturan sehingga efektivitas sekolah dapat tercapai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi efektivitas sekolah SMK-BLUD melalui kemandirian sekolah menggunakan analisis PLS-SEM. Data diperoleh melalui penyebaran kuesioner kepada 231 responden dari siswa, guru, kepala sekolah, dan panitia di 25 SMK-BLUD di Jawa Timur dan DKI Jakarta. Diketahui bahwa variabel fokus pada pelanggan, fokus pada proses, dan perbaikan berkelanjutan memberikan pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan terhadap efektivitas sekolah. Selain itu, dengan adanya kemandirian setiap sekolah, secara tidak langsung juga memberikan pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan terhadap efektivitas sekolah. Hasil pemodelan ini menunjukkan nilai Predictive Relevance (Q2) sebesar 0.965, artinya model ini memiliki Predictive Relevance yang baik.

The accumulation of pollutants in water is dangerous for the environment and human lives. Some of them are considered as persistent organic pollutants (POPs) that cannot be eliminated from wastewater effluent. Thus, many researchers have devoted their efforts to improving the existing technology or providing an alternative strategy to solve this environmental problem. One of the attractive materials for this purpose are metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) due to their superior high surface area, high porosity, and the tunable features of their structures and function. This review provides an up-to-date and comprehensive description of MOFs and their crucial role as adsorbent, catalyst, and membrane in wastewater treatment. This study also highlighted several strategies to improve their capability to remove pollutants from water effluent.

It needs efforts to continue improving the quality of SMK-BLUD education from various aspects so that the operational implementation can take place optimally. The purpose of this study is to design a strategy to improve the effectiveness of SMK-BLUD through implementing school governance (SG) and total quality management (TQM) using Interpretive Structural Modeling (ISM) analysis. Data obtained through the Group Disscusion Forum (FGD) with expert experts. The results reveals that the strategic planning modeling for improving the effectiveness of SMK-BLUD management is by focusing on increasing TQM having the greatest driving power then focusing on improving of implementation of SG. This improvement can be done by improving the quality of man by fostering strong and decisive leadership in SMK-BLUDs through providing leadership training and opportunities to play roles as leader, for school principals and the teachers. Electroactive biomaterials are fascinating for tissue engineering applications because of their ability to deliver electrical stimulation directly to cells, tissue, and organs. One particularly attractive conductive filler for electroactive biomaterials is silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) because of their high conductivity, antibacterial activity, and ability to promote bone healing. However, production of AgNPs involves a toxic reducing agent which would inhibit biological scaffold performance. This work explores facile and green synthesis of AgNPs using extract of Cilembu sweet potato and studies the effect of baking and precursor concentrations (1, 10 and 100 mM) on AgNPs’ properties. Transmission electron microscope (TEM) results revealed that the smallest particle size of AgNPs (9.95 ± 3.69 nm) with nodular morphology was obtained by utilization of baked extract and ten mM AgNO3. Polycaprolactone (PCL)/AgNPs scaffolds exhibited several enhancements compared to PCL scaffolds. Compressive strength was six times greater (3.88 ± 0.42 MPa), more hydrophilic (contact angle of 76.8 ± 1.7°), conductive (2.3 ± 0.5 × 10−3 S/cm) and exhibited anti-bacterial properties against Staphylococcus aureus ATCC3658 (99.5% reduction of surviving bacteria). Despite the promising results, further investigation on biological assessment is required to obtain comprehensive study of this scaffold. This green synthesis approach together with the use of 3D printing opens a new route to manufacture AgNPs-based electroactive with improved anti-bacterial properties without utilization of any toxic organic solvents.

Promotion Strategy is the method that you use to promote the product. If we use the wrong promotion strategy, it will bring the disadvantage for the product and company. This research was conducted in order to discover how promotion strategy of Namaste Festival Event to attract Yoga market by using promotion strategy theory. This research was guided by a qualitative approach with descriptive research in particular. The method being used was case study by conducting in-depth interviews. This research enabled the writer to discuss about the promotion strategy that being used by Namaste Festival event to increase the number of visitor. Therefore the researcher will able to get view on how PT Namaste Jaya Aditi as the organizer could run the promotion to get high number of visitor. After conducting an analysis, the main conclusion of this research is that the promotion strategy that been used by Namaste Festival organize is integrated several promotion activities such as online marketing, pre event road show, selling promotion, advertising (television and media printing) & publicity. The result of this research is also said that promotion strategy that been use has an important role to attract visitor to participate in the event. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui bagaimana strategi promosi Namaste Festival Event untuk menarik pasar Yoga dengan menggunakan teori strategi promosi. Penelitian ini dipandu oleh pendekatan kualitatif dengan penelitian deskriptif pada khususnya. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi kasus dengan melakukan wawancara mendalam. Penelitian ini memungkinkan penulis untuk membahas tentang strategi promosi yang digunakan oleh festival Namaste Festival untuk meningkatkan jumlah pengunjung. Oleh karena itu peneliti dapat melihat bagaimana PT Namaste Jaya Aditi sebagai penyelenggara dapat menjalankan promosi untuk mendapatkan jumlah pengunjung yang tinggi. Setelah melakukan analisis, kesimpulan utama dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa strategi promosi yang telah digunakan oleh Namaste Festival organizer mengintegrasikan beberapa kegiatan promosi seperti pemasaran online, pre event road show, promosi penjualan, periklanan (media cetak dan televisi) & publisitas. . Hasil penelitian ini juga mengatakan bahwa strategi promosi yang telah digunakan memiliki peran penting untuk menarik pengunjung untuk berpartisipasi dalam acara tersebut.

In the current times, very little attention is paid on measuring the performance of digital transformation in educational institutions so that it can run sustainably. This study aimed to create an appropriate instrument in measuring digital transformation in educational institutions, especially distance education institution. The study used a quantitative approach and collected data from 402 Universitas Terbuka students of 5 faculties; the Faculty of Economics (FE), Faculty of Law, Social and Political Sciences (FLSPS), Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FTTE), Faculty of Science and Technology as well as the Graduate Program. An online questionnaire was used to collect data related to digital transformation applied by the Universitas Terbuka as a distance education institution using the random sampling method. The data were analyzed using a Second Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) to verify the instrument's factor structure based on the model developed in the study. The results of the study show evidence that the five indicators consist of (1) Strategy and institutional governance; (2) Curriculum and delivery methods; (3) Assessment; (4) Staff support and professional development; and (4) Infrastructure and resources had good goodness of fit criteria and creating a valid and reliable instrument to measure the performance of digital transformation in distance education institution.

The study aimed to investigate the influence of total quality management and school governance on school management effectiveness, whether school governance as an antecedent of total quality management and school management effectiveness. The object of research is the vocational high school with the Regional Public Service Agency status (school-based enterprise) in Indonesia. The research is a quantitative research with survey method. The sample of 533 people who are school principals, teachers, and students. It was selected by proportional stratified random sampling. The data analysis using structural equation modeling (SEM). The research finding is the total quality management has a significant influence on school management effectiveness. The mediation analysis indicates that school governance as the antecedent of total quality management and school management effectiveness. The improvement of effectiveness school-based enterprises should consider implementing total quality management and it will be increasingly by school governance application. The modeling that correlates total quality management and school governance to improved vocational school management effectiveness, especially at vocational school with Regional Public Service Agency status (school-based enterprise).

Indonesian government is focusing on improving the quality and effectiveness of Vocational High Schools. One of many efforts conducted is transforming vocational schools into vocational school-based enterprises. This study aims to analyze the factors influencing the effectiveness of vocational school-based enterprise management through the implementation of School Governance and Total Quality Management. This study used quantitative and qualitative approaches and PLS-SEM analysis, AHP, and ISM techniques. Questionnaires were distributed to 231 respondents from students, teachers, principals and committees in 25 vocational school-based enterprises in East Java and DKI Jakarta. The results of PLS SEM analysis demonstrated valid, consistent and good modeling. Furthermore, TQM showed a significant and positive effect on SG with R2 of 80.2 percent. Consequently, SG and TQM also had a positive and significant effect on improving the effectiveness of vocational school-based enterprise management with R2 of 92.2 percent. In addition, the strategy reveals an increase in the effectiveness of vocational school-based enterprise based on AHP by increasing the implementation of SG through adding criteria for strong and firm leadership in the human resources in vocational school-based enterprise. Meanwhile, based on ISM result, by increasing TQM as the key factor has the greatest driving force before improving SG. It is recommended to devise a strategy that could help to increase the effectiveness of managing vocational school-based enterprises.

A mindset based on Sustainability principles can guide MSME managers to move towards transformative changes that can minimize risks such as landfilling, and realize the linkage between business and business carried out with the surrounding environment. The qualitative research was conducted by interview and direct observation methods on the owners of Güzel Dish MSMEs located in East Kotawaringin, Central Kalimantan with guidance from the Sustainability Mindset Indicator by Isabel Rimanoczy.
