Understanding the population data of a region is crucial for policy development and strategic planning. East Java Province, the second-largest province in Indonesia, has undergone significant population growth from 2021 to 2023. Uneven growth poses challenges in resource and infrastructure management. The K-Means algorithm clusters population data into several groups based on specific characteristics. The Elbow method is used to determine the optimal number of clusters, ensuring the accuracy of the analysis. This research aims to analyze and cluster the population distribution in each city in East Java Province, providing a more detailed and accurate depiction. The research findings reveal three significant clusters. Cluster 0 includes 21 towns, Cluster 1 comprises 4, and Cluster 2 encompasses 13. These findings have important implications for targeted development policy formulation at the city level in East Java Province. Additionally, this study contributes to the development of demographic analysis and population management, using valid methods and consistent results between RapidMiner and manual calculations. In conclusion, this research provides a solid foundation for more effective development policy formulation in East Java Province, offering essential information for sustainable population management.

The live forensics method was used to acquire lawful digital evidence data from device memory in the WhatsApp application, particularly for desktop-based WhatsApp. There has been little research on live forensics on desktop-based WhatsApp applications. These studies involve mimicking crime cases in cyberspace using the Instant Messenger application. Much of the acquisition process is completed only once, even though many possible conditions may arise during the purchase process. Investigators or experts can employ digital evidence data discovery to identify crimes that have occurred. The stages of research in detecting digital evidence are data collecting, the examination process, and the acquisition of analysis and reporting outcomes. During the data-gathering phase, a case simulation dataset was obtained. The examination process stage results in the integrity of the duplicated data; data reduction is performed on data related to fundamental operating system components, influential application features, and incomplete data. According to the investigation findings, there are difficulties in looking for digital evidence, and the features of each digital evidence vary. The simulation file contained many reports on the finds of digital evidence. As a data acquisition method, the characteristics of live forensics are limited to the data retrieval process in RAM. Based on these findings, it is possible to conclude that the data collection and examination processing were completed effectively. The analysis results were acquired, and the report was presented with the indicated digital evidence. Further study can be paired with chip-off procedures on RAM devices for data recovery.

There are many methods used in resolving data clustering. One of them is the Fuzzy C-Means (FCM) method, which is a reliable method to solve clustering problems in the East Java region. This study aims to determine the optimum cluster in the East Java region which can help the government to identify problems and assist policymaking in regencies/cities in East Java province. The research process uses data from the central statistical agency, namely the unemployment rate and poverty rate from 2010 to 2015. In this study, the Davies Bouldin Index (DBI) is used as a cluster validation test for determining the optimum cluster. Unemployment rate and poverty rate data were analyzed using RStudio. From the calculation of the FCM method and also the determination of the optimum cluster results obtained in 2 clusters with a DBI value of 1.2759, 3 clusters with a DBI value of 0.9937, 4 clusters with a DBI value of 0.8737. The optimum cluster is in 4 clusters with a minimum DBI value.

Stiffness is the main parameter of the beam’s resistance to deformation. Based on advanced research, the stiffness of bamboo-reinforced concrete beams (BRC) tends to be lower than the stiffness of steel-reinforced concrete beams (SRC). However, the advantage of bamboo-reinforced concrete beams has enough good ductility according to the fundamental properties of bamboo, which have high tensile strength and high elastic properties. This study aims to predict and validate the stiffness of bamboo-reinforced concrete beams from the experimental results data using artificial neural networks (ANNs). The number of beam test specimens were 25 pieces with a size of 75 mm × 150 mm × 1100 mm. The testing method uses the four-point method with simple support. The results of the analysis showed the similarity between the stiffness of the beam’s experimental results with the artificial neural network (ANN) analysis results. The similarity rate of the two analyses is around 99% and the percentage of errors is not more than 1%, both for bamboo-reinforced concrete beams (BRC) and steel-reinforced concrete beams (SRC).
