This methodology paper introduces an illuminated culture flask-based 3D-printed bioreactor system (FlaskLED) based on Arduino, Grove ecosystem and LED sticks. The Arduino microcontroller allows extensibility and future upgrades via programming and other modifications. We provide the 3D printer files, video presentation of assembly instructions and a detailed description of the INO code and wiring scheme. The INO code presented can be used to produce different light colors and patterns of varying intensity and durations (intermittent/flashing/pulsing light). The system was validated by examining the toxicity of Au3+ ions on Phaeodactylum tricornutum growth. The capabilities of the system offer unique applications for laboratory and industrial research. Our aim is to provide a low-cost and open-source tool to promote and improve cultivation of microalgae and other photosynthetic organisms under different laboratory and experimental setups. This paper focused ona smart, cloud-enabled internet of things system that optimizes home energy distribution, safety, and consumption. The materials used in this paper include Servo motor, lamp holder, energy bulbs, 13A socket, rectifier, jumper wires, electric cables, Blynk interface, motion sensor, temperature/humidity sensor, Esp32, and smoker sensor. The development of the system's code, which was essential for optimizing the system's operations, was carried out using the Arduino Integrated Development Environment. A testbed comprising of the designed work was done in house located in Anambra State, Nigeria over a six-month period, where eight appliances were used to gather used energy by deploying smart plugs, and a smart meter that measures the major energy load of the house. Results show that both implementations collected, stored, and controlled the energy according to the smart, cloud-enabled internet of things system. This work showed that energy providers, and technology developers implement a cloud-enabled Internet of Things system for the best possible household energy usage, safety, and distribution. Currently, engine remapping is widely utilized to enhance the performance of diesel and petrol engines. Given that a substantial amount of data must be collected during the optimization process, a data acquisition system is necessary to organize and retrieve data automatically. This research focuses on the design, development, and testing of a data acquisition system for controlling and measuring the throttle pedal in diesel vehicles equipped with a common rail system. The system is designed to manage the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) and monitor vehicle operational parameters in real-time. The proposed device employs Arduino as the primary hardware, with TechStream software for vehicle data acquisition, and a web-based application developed using the Python programming language, and displays data in real-time in the form of graphs and tables. From the test results, it can be concluded that the developed acquisition system produces precise and sensitive throttle position settings. Carbon dioxide is a colorless, odorless, and non-flammable gas and is claimed to be the fourth most abundant in the earth's atmosphere. Carbon dioxide emission is mainly generated by human and animal exhalation, decomposition of organic matter, and forest fires. Moreover, human activities in the industrial sector emit high levels of carbon dioxide gas, such as through fossil fuel burning, transportation, and deforestation. It is also an asphyxiant and high exposure to it may lead to health effects in humans such as headaches, breathing difficulty, tiredness, coma, and elevated blood pressure. Therefore, in this paper, a carbon dioxide gas sensor with IoT using TiO2 is proposed to observe varying concentrations of carbon dioxide gas at room temperature. Three similar gas sensors were fabricated via screen-printing technology to compare their performance towards carbon dioxide. The hardware development consisted of an Arduino Uno R3 with ESP 8266 Wi-Fi module, wires, LCD display, red and green LEDs, and a 5V power supply. The ThingSpeak application was integrated with the gas sensor and hardware parts to monitor the carbon dioxide concentration in a real-time system. The rapid advancement of the Internet of Things (IoT) has transformed our lives by connecting objects and creating an intelligent environment that drives automation and massive data collection. IoT has overcome challenges through remote monitoring, robotics, and sensors, with powerful wireless technologies opening up possibilities in various fields, including anatomical techniques. The objective of this study is to demonstrate the feasibility and benefits of integrating IoT technology into the body maceration process by developing a low-cost, accessible, automated maceration control device compatible with theArduino IDE programming environment. Using an open-source NodeMCU system based on the ESP-12E chip, which employs the LUA programming language and is compatible with Arduino IDE, we incorporated a microSD card reader module for data storage, a digital temperature sensor (DS18B20), a clock module (DS3231), a magnetic stirrer and an aquarium heater controlled by a digital thermostat with relay (W1209). To validate the device, we conducted maceration tests on C57BL mice, comparing two groups: Control (n=5; weight=17g) subjected to maceration in 4 liters of water at 10°C without agitation; Experimental (n=5; weight=17g) exposed to maceration in 4 liters of water at 35°C, with agitation at 1500 r/min and water flow renewal at a rate of 900 ml/h. Specimens were evaluated for their degree of maceration, cleaned, weighed, and photographed. The maceration time for the control and experimental groups was 730 hours and 60 hours, respectively. In the experimental group, no foul odors, damage, or bone demineralization were detected. The device cost was 60 USD, and programming through the Arduino IDE environment was straightforward. The focus on hardware contributed to accessibility and time savings. The system operated with a conventional power supply and required a water supply, making it adaptable to various configurations with greater capacity. Under this configuration, we effectively controlled the variables (temperature, agitation, and water flow). The NodeMCU-based bone maceration system improved the performance and adaptability of existing systems and increased accessibility by reducing costs, complexity, and foul odors. This study harnesses EEG signals to enable the real-time control of servo motors, utilizing the OpenBCI Community Dataset to identify and assess brainwave patterns related to motor imagery tasks. Specifically, the dataset includes EEG data from 52 subjects, capturing electrical brain activity while participants imagined executing specific motor tasks. Each participant underwent multiple trials for each motor imagery task, ensuring a diverse and comprehensive dataset for model training and evaluation. A deep neural network model comprising convolutional and bidirectional long short-term memory (LSTM) layers was developed and trained using k-fold cross-validation, achieving a notable accuracy of 98%. The model's performance was further compared against recurrent neural networks (RNNs), multilayer perceptrons (MLPs), and Τransformer algorithms, demonstrating that the CNN-LSTM model provided the best performance due to its effective capture of both spatial and temporal features. The model was deployed on a Python script interfacing with an Arduino board, enabling communication with two servo motors. The Python script predicts actions from preprocessed EEG data to control the servo motors in real-time. Real-time performance metrics, including classification reports and confusion matrices, demonstrate the seamless integration of the LSTM model with the Arduino board for precise and responsive control. An Arduino program was implemented to receive commands from the Python script via serial communication and control the servo motors, enabling accurate and responsive control based on EEG predictions. Overall, this study presents a comprehensive approach that combines machine learning, real-time implementation, and hardware interfacing to enable the precise and real-time control of servo motors using EEG signals, with potential applications in the human–robot interaction and assistive technology domains. Agriculture plays a pivotal role in the economy of most countries, serving as a primary source of livelihood and sustenance. In the case of India, it occupies a substantial portion of the nation's land. This article proposes the integration of IoT (Internet of Things) and an automated irrigation system with ML/DL (Machine Learning and Deep Learning) to revolutionize agriculture. The implementation of crop monitoring through sensors not only eases the burden on farmers but also enhances crop productivity. The system, at its core, monitors crucial field parameters such as soil moisture, temperature, and humidity. Given the increasing importance of efficient water management in agriculture, this study outlines an automated irrigation system that leverages cloud computing and IoT to curtail water consumption. Its primary objective is to gather and consolidate data from diverse sources, including data generated by sensors and IoT devices. This centralized data storage approach facilitates seamless data integration from various locations and devices. Through the application of algorithms and dataset analysis, the study determines that the cultivation of "Spider" plants is more favorable when compared to other plant species. Notably, the Random Forest classifier emerged as the most accurate, achieving an impressive 94.77% accuracy rate in this project. In a society heavily influenced by technological advancements, developing scientific and technological literacy among young people is essential. Along these lines, this research describes a STEM activity developed to promote the teaching of chemistry content related to the solubility of potassium nitrate in water. It also facilitated the mastery of technological skills such as programming Arduino microcontrollers and using Microsoft Excel as tools for automatic data acquisition and analysis. Eighty pre-university Chemistry students participated in this research. This pedagogical approach was divided into three main stages: (1) preliminary research on components used in the experimental apparatus; (2) introduction to the assembly of electrical circuits and Arduino programming; (3) experimental investigation of the dependence of potassium nitrate solubility on temperature. The activity allowed the students to successfully achieve the proposed chemistry learning objectives while mobilizing other scientific and technological knowledge and skills. Despite the students' limited prior knowledge of programming and electronics, as well as their limited proficiency in data analysis software, the integration of programming in the Chemistry class proved to be a differentiating factor with a highly positive impact, particularly in terms of motivation and interest among most students. To address the challenge of improving the understanding of chemistry concepts, particularly pH, this study explored the impact of integrating educational robotics on students’ motivation and learning outcomes. A total of 160 3rd-year middle school students from a public school in Meknes, Morocco, participated in the study, which was divided into an experimental group (n = 82) and a control group (n = 78). Student performance was evaluated through standardized tests, while motivation levels were gauged using a questionnaire. The findings indicated a significant increase in motivation among students in the experimental group compared to those in the control group. However, no significant differences in overall academic performance were detected between the two groups. These findings provide valuable insights for educators and curriculum developers, underscoring the importance of integrating innovative pedagogical approaches with traditional methods to enhance science education.

This paper introduces an innovative improvement to impressed current cathodic protection (ICCP) systems by integrating a pulse-feeding technique designed to address metal protection degradation during off-potential periods, a common issue in conventional systems. The proposed system enhances the overall effectiveness and reliability of ICCP, providing consistent corrosion protection for critical metal structures. A notable advantage of this method is its simplicity, utilizing a cost-effective microcontroller for pulse feeding. This approach simplifies integration processes and enhances cost-effectiveness, making it an attractive solution for improving cathodic protection system performance without substantial additional costs. The method addresses conventional ICCP weaknesses by applying a high-frequency pulse current during off-potential periods. This reduces excessive negative charge buildup on metal surfaces during interruptions, boosting the system's effectiveness and stability. Research laboratory experiments were conducted using pulse width modulation (PWM) on an ATmega328P microcontroller to demonstrate the method's effectiveness. Additionally, an IoT-monitored ICCP system was developed using an ESP32 microcontroller and the Blynk application. Results highlight the superiority of a 50 kHz pulse feeding frequency in preventing corrosion compared to lower frequencies. IoT-based Metal Oxide Semiconductor (MOS) gas sensors have potential applications in health, industrial, and agriculture sectors. MQ gas sensors are easy to use, have a large detection range, high sensitivity, and efficiency, and can be interfaced with Arduino for effective use. However, like other any other sensors, the MQ gas sensors are also not able to escape the effect of noise that affects the sensitivity and selectivity causing the unwanted wrong classification and identification of gases, etc finally leading to a wrong justification of results and data. Hence, the study of noise and its removal is very crucial for greater accuracy in its analysis. The main aim of our work is to check whether one can classify different types of noises or noisy signals accurately using even simple ANNs so that after testing the different filtration techniques for the signals we can obtain an independent system specifically for the MQ gas sensors, that can classify as well as filter the noisy signals based on the category to which they are classified. The best and most effective noise filtration method is then obtained. During the study Narrow Neural Network model and Medium Neural Network demonstrated high accuracy in validation and testing, with ROC curves indicating their efficiency and effectiveness. The dramatic increase in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education studies has resulted in more authors promoting the use of Arduino in STEM education. Although there are educational research studies utilizing bibliometric procedures for the exploration of Arduino and STEM separately, there is a further need for research on their relationship. The current study utilizes several software tools (Vosviewer, Biblioshiny) and bibliometric procedures for this research domain. The documents were retrieved from the Scopus database from 2013 to 2022. Performance analysis was used to reveal publications and citation trends with the top contributors. Moreover, bibliographic mapping was used to comprehend the conceptual (co-occurrences), intellectual (bibliographic coupling), and social (collaboration network) structures of the retrieved data. The results revealed that the most prolific authors and institutes were addressed in Turkey. Besides, the most cited authors and institutes were from the USA. However, it seems this situation will change soon to the advantage of Turkey because of its highest annual growth rate and smallest document average age. This research also shows that there is a sign of the risk of monopolization in this area soon. Moreover, little cooperation was found within the dataset implying the importance and necessity of encouraging the mobility of researchers as well as increasing the collaboration between universities at both national and international levels. Overall, the study reveals that Arduino has great potential in using STEM activities in the future.

Pulse Detonation Engine has been a point of interest in the propulsion industry for some time and the interest has been rising due to its better output and results. But any system can perform its task efficiently based on the efficiency of its control system. In this paper we have presented a comparative study between multiple control systems- one based on Bluetooth technology, the other based on infrared sensor technology and one based on wired electrical system. For the wireless system, the signal received from either of the media is passed to the various sensors and systems connected through an Arduino board that further controls the solenoid valves and ignition system. Primarily, a control system circuit is developed using Arduino board and different sensors to connect the fuel supply and ignition system. In the next stage, Bluetooth sensors are connected using an android app and then an infrared sensor based system is integrated with the Arduino to control the engine and the performance of the two systems are compared. Whereas for wired system, every sub system is controlled through optical wires including the solenoid valves, the injection system and the sensors.

This study investigated the effect of project-based Arduino robot application on students' computational thinking skills development in robotics programming course using the quasi-experimental research design. The participants consist of 73 students in tertiary institutions in South-East Nigeria that offer Computer and Robotics Education programme. There was no sampling as the entire second-year trainee teachers of computer and robotics education in the selected institutions participated in the study. The instrument used for data collection was the Robotics Programming Computational Thinking Scale (RPCTS). Mean and standard deviation were used to answer the research questions, while Analysis of Covariance (ANCOVA) was used to test the hypotheses at an alpha level of 0.05. The result of the study showed that students who were taught using Project-based Arduino Robot Application (PARA) had higher mean computational thinking scores than those taught using the conventional lecture method, and there was a significant difference in the mean computational thinking scores of students based on method of instruction. Also, the male students taught robotics programming using PARA had higher mean computational thinking scores compared to their female counterparts, and there was a significant difference in the mean computational thinking scores of male and female students taught robotics programming using PARA. Schools and other stakeholders in education should support the training of teachers on how to develop and used project-based approaches in teaching/learning robotics programming-related courses. In recent years, fault diagnosis has become a major concern for ensuring the sustainability of photovoltaic systems. This article aims to develop a low-cost data acquisition device based on the Arduino card to collect data using sensors on two photovoltaic modules. Four defects were intentionally created on a photovoltaic panel and analyzed individually based on the evolution of current and voltage parameters over time. The results indicate that in the event of a fault, the current drops suddenly with a slight decrease in voltage. Under normal conditions, the maximum observed current was 3.8 A for an irradiation of 904 W/m2, compared to 2.2 A for 909 W/m2 and 32.78°C in the event of partial shading. This value further decreases to a maximum of 1.8 A for 867 W/m2 in an open circuit. The observation reveals that the partial shading fault with a disconnected bypass diode and open circuit has similar characteristics to the open circuit fault. However, it is important to note that this cannot be generalized as the fault only occurs in a configuration of two PV modules in parallel. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The vast development of the technology of embedded systems has had a great impact on the healthcare field. Using low-cost, robust parts, this research proposes an innovative technology and design that enables paralyzed patients or elderly individuals to have a smart room with a voice recognition control unit that works like a joystick for various purposes. The aim is to create an environment that meets their needs and increases their independence, thereby improving their quality of life. The research will show the design of the control unit and present the various applications that can be programmed using voice commands, such as a wheelchair, bed, temperature, lights, TV, and alarm. The voice recognition module will be trained using the patient's voice, for example, to change the movement direction of a wheelchair. The system is based on training the Voice Recognition Module v3 with the use of Arduino and Node MCU. The results of the commendable accuracy of the English word response in a quiet environment ranged between 90% and 100% at the 0.2-meter distance and 50% and 100% at the 0.5-meter distance. While in a noisy environment, it ranged between 40% and 100% at the 0.2-meter distance and 10%– 90% at the 0.5-meter distance. As for the Arabic-pronounced words, they ranged between 60% and 100% at the 0.2-meter distance and 30% and 100% at the 0.5- meter distance in a quiet environment. Temperature is commonly acknowledged as one of the primary forces driving ectotherm vector populations, most notably by influencing metabolic rates and survival. Although numerous experiments have shown this for a wide variety of organisms, the vast majority has been conducted at constant temperatures and changes therein, while temperature is far from constant in nature, and includes seasonal and diurnal cycles. As fluctuating temperatures have been described to affect metabolic processes at (sub)cellular level, this calls for studies evaluating the relative importance of temperature fluctuations and the changes therein. To gain insight in the effects of temperature fluctuations on ectotherm development, survival, and sex ratio, we developed an inexpensive, easily reproducible, and open‐source, Arduino‐based temperature control system, which emulates natural sinusoidal fluctuations around the average temperature. We used this novel setup to compare the effects of constant (mean) temperatures, most commonly used in experiments, block schemes, and natural sinusoidal fluctuations as well as an extreme variant with twice its amplitude using the cosmopolitan mosquito species Culex pipiens s.l. as a study organism. Our system accurately replicated the preprogrammed temperature treatments under outdoor conditions, even more accurately than traditional methods. While no effects were detected on survival and sex ratio within the ranges of variation evaluated, development was sped up considerably by including temperature fluctuations, especially during pupation, where development under constant temperatures took almost a week (30%) longer than under natural fluctuations. Doubling the amplitude further decreased development time by 1.5 days. These results highlight the importance of including (natural) oscillations in experiments on ectotherm organisms – both aquatic and terrestrial – that use temperature as a variable. Ultimately, these results have major repercussions for downstream effects at larger scales that may be studied with applications such as ecological niche models, disease risk models, and assessing ecosystem services that rely on ectotherm organisms. In response to the global pursuit of net-zero carbon emissions, the electrification of agricultural machinery is becoming a significant research and development trend. This study introduces the overall design of a 4 kW air compressor aimed at achieving a green vision for agricultural machinery. The design focuses on providing continuous and stable power and air output using a lithium-ion battery. Durability and cost-effectiveness are prioritized, with a particular emphasis on the Arduino system for integrating battery and motor systems to withstand harsh conditions and ensure ease of maintenance. A permanent magnet brushless motor was selected as the power source, paired with an optimized pulley to supply the proper torque to the air compressor. The system employs an Arduino-based feedback control sensor for air pressure regulation, ensuring energy efficiency. The primary energy source is a 48 V lithium iron phosphate battery, known for its high energy density and safety. The battery design focuses on system integration, addressing specific environmental discharge requirements. The embedded battery management system provides thermal and lifecycle parameter estimation, guaranteeing long-duration power supply and safe operation under various conditions. Unlike traditional fuel-driven systems, lithium iron phosphate batteries do not emit harmful gases, aligning with environmental standards. System integration testing demonstrated that the air pressure feedback control effectively meets the energy-saving requirements by digitally reducing power output as air accumulates in the chamber. The development of science and technology has experienced such rapid growth, thus encouraging humans to try to overcome all problems that arise around them and ease the work around the environment through automatic control systems. One of the technologies currently being developed is the Arduino microcontroller. Based on the problems often experienced by students when leaving clothes to dry in the dormitory. If it rains or bad weather, it can be a problem if you do not have time to lift the clothesline so that dry clothes become wet with rainwater when there are no dorm residents because they are on campus. Given these problems, the author designed an automatic drying room prototype using a rain sensor and light sensor based on an Arduino microcontroller. The components used are a drying room and roof, a light sensor and water sensor as input, an Arduino microcontroller, breadboard and jumper cables, a power bank as a processor, and a servo motor and LED lights as output. A servo motor automatically moves the roof of the clothes' drying room, and the LED lights turn on, according to input from the light sensor and rain sensor, according to the conditions received by the sensor. Anaerobic digestion (AD) relies on the cooperation of specific microbial communities, making it susceptible to process disruptions that could impact biogas production. In this regard, this study presents a technological solution based on the Arduino platform, in the form of a simple online monitoring system that can track the produced biogas profile, named as biogas analyzer module (BAM). The applicability of the BAM focused on monitoring the biogas produced from sugarcane vinasse inoculated with sewage sludge biodigestion processed in mesophilic conditions (38 oC), in a pH range of 6.5–7.5, and following a three-stage operational model: (i) an adaptation (168 h), (ii) complete mixing (168 h), and (iii) bio-stimulation with glycerol (192 h). Then, the lab-made BAM was used to trace the produced biogas profile, which registered a total biogas volume of 8,719.86 cm3 and biomethane concentration of 95.79% (vol.), removing 90.8% (vol) of carbon dioxide (CO2) and 65.2% (vol) of hydrogen sulfide (H2S). In conclusion, the results ensured good accuracy and efficiency to the device created by comparisons with established standards (chromatographic and colorimetric methods), as well as the cost reduction. This study examines the development of an Arduino-based real-time data acquisition system and its effect on secondary students’ STEM career interest (STEM-CIS). A total of 74 students were sampled from a prestigious private school in Jakarta, Indonesia, and a learning device was developed using the A.D.D.I.E. method. A one-group pretest-posttest research design was used to evaluate the effect of using the device during blended classroom activities. Data were collected through surveys using the STEM-CIS instrument and interviews. The study was based on the general practice of using Arduino software and hardware for practical purposes in Chemistry Laboratories and Sick Bay. The setup was successfully used in these different environments as a temperature monitoring system to record thermochemistry data and monitor a patient’s body temperature. The findings are consistent with prior research indicating that hands-on robotics activities can increase STEM interest and inspire students to pursue STEM careers. The results suggest that strong engagement in this activity facilitated the development of digital literacy and STEM skills. The STEM-CIS score at the 5% significance level was significantly increased after the experimentation with the device, with a paired t-test result of p<0.001. Data on the soil nutrient content are required to calculate fertilizer rate recommendations. The soil laboratory determines these soil properties, yet the measurement is time-consuming and costly. Meanwhile, portable devices to assess the soil nutrient content in real-time are limited. However, a proprietary and low-cost NPK sensor is available and commonly used in IoT for agriculture. This study aimed to assemble and test a portable, NPK sensor-based device in irrigated and rainfed paddy soils from Java, Indonesia. The device development followed a prototyping approach. The device building included market surveys and opted for an inexpensive, light, and compact soil sensor, power storage, monitor, and wire connectors. Arduino programming language was used to write scripts for data display and sub-device communication. The result is a real-time, portable soil nutrient detector that measures the soil temperature, moisture, pH, electrical conductivity, and N, P, and K contents. Field tests show that the device is sensitive to soil properties and location. The portable soil nutrient detector may be an alternative tool for the real-time measurement of soil nutrients in paddy fields in Indonesia. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In the present paper, an affordable innovative physical experimental equipment consisting of an upper computer, an ultrasonic sensor module, and an Arduino microcontroller has been designed. The relationship between the position of the slider fixed on two springs and time is measured by using the ultrasonic sensor module. A system for slider motion data and image acquisition is constructed by using the LabVIEW interface of Arduino UNO R3. The purpose of this experiment is to demonstrate and interpret the propagation of waves represented by harmonic motion. The spring oscillator system including a slider and two springs is measured and recorded, and the motion can be realized using curve fitting to the wave equation in Sigmaplot. The vibration periods obtained from experimental measurements and curve fitting of the wave equation are 1.130 s and 1.165 s, respectively. The experimental data are in good agreement with the theoretical model. The experimental measurement results show that the maximum kinetic energy is 0.0792 J, the maximum potential energy is 0.0795 J, and the total energy at the position of half the amplitude is 0.0791 J. The results verify the mechanical energy conservation of spring oscillator system in a short time. This paper presents a low-cost system for simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) for unknown indoor environments. The system is based on a low-cost mobile-robot platform. The low-cost mobile robot is designed and fabricated in our control laboratory. The Rao-Blackwellized particle filter algorithm is used for SLAM computations, Xbox 360 Kinect module is utilized for stereo-camera imaging, and a Linux-based microcomputer (Raspberry Pi3) was used as the main onboard processing unit. An Arduino board is used to control the DC motors for mobile robot wheels. Raspberry Pi unit was wirelessly connected to a ground station machine that processes the information sent by the robot to build the environment map and estimate its pose. ROS (Robot Operating System) is used for map visualization, data-handling, and communication between different software nodes. The system has been tested virtually on a simulator and in real indoor environments and has successfully identified objects greater than 30 cm × 30 cm × 30 cm and added it to the map. It also shows promising capability to work autonomous missions independently without aid from any external sensors and with a fraction of the cost of similar systems based on Lidars. Agriculture is the most advanced civilian profession. However, farmers in India continue to use traditional agricultural supervision approaches, resulting in water failure problems. Currently, Automatic irrigation systems using humidity detectors, rain sensors, and temperature sensors are used for effectively managing water in an agricultural field where the perpetration of sensors that descry the humidity in the soil of a chosen agrarian field has been carried out. This system uses a wireless sensor network, in which sensors in the selected field are not activated until the field has enough water for the crops. Once the field gets dry, detectors smell the water demand in the field and shoot a signal to the Arduino which supplies water to that field which has water demand till the sensors are killed, considering the rainfall data using the installed rain sensor. In case, when there is more than one signal for water demand also the Arduino will prioritize the first entered signal and wash the fields consequently. Li-Fi represents a wireless data transmission methodology harnessing light as its medium. Our research endeavours culminate in the development of a tangible hardware prototype, incorporating Li-Fi technology alongside various complementary components. This bespoke prototype serves as an invaluable instrument for data transmission, harnessing the potential of light to facilitate seamless information exchange. In transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) and electroencephalography (EEG) experiments, two researchers typically collaborate in the lab. This study addresses the challenge a single researcher faces in managing the TMS experiment's timing while operating the TMS coil. It introduces the Arduino Trigger Generator (ArTGen) to remotely control the timing of TMS experiments using a footswitch pedal. Moreover, a bespoke printed circuit board (PCB) is designed to interface the eegoMylab amplifier with off‐the‐shelf EEG caps. The ArTGen facilitates accurate timing of the TMS stimulator's inter‐pulse intervals (IPIs) through a footswitch pedal, enhancing researchers' control over TMS‐EEG experiments. The PCB interface provides a cost‐effective tool to extend the functionality of the eegoMylab amplifier. The integration of our PCB interface has been validated in a custom TMS‐EEG setup by analyzing TMS‐evoked potentials (TEPs), global mean field power (GMFP), butterfly plots, and event‐related spectral potentials (ERSPs). The PCB reliably preserved EEG signal integrity, ensuring accurate data acquisition. Thorough channel‐wise consistency checks across components confirmed data accuracy. ArTGen's portability and footswitch feature streamline experimental control, aiding TMS‐EEG research and clinical applications. Moreover, our PCB resolves compatibility between the eegoMylab amplifier and the Waveguard EEG cap by extending the amplifier to connect to off‐the‐shelf EEG caps. The ArTGen serves as a robust remote control tool for TMS stimulators, while our PCB interface presents a solution for integrating a customized TMS‐EEG setup. This study addresses the gap in existing TMS‐EEG research by introducing innovative technological enhancements that not only augment experimental flexibility but also streamline procedural workflows. The COVID-19 pandemic creates more significant opportunities to develop more Internet of Things-based systems. IoT has been helpful in remote monitoring and control of connected devices. This research aims to develop a Room Temperature Remote Monitoring System using an Arduino Board and Cloud storage. It provides remote room temperature monitoring, real-time reports and graphs, and a 3-way alert/alarm system when the observed temperature is out of range. Teaching the colour of stars is not as trivial as one might think. It can be challenging for students to grasp that the colour of stars follows a temperature sequence. This paper introduces a simple experimental setup for instructing the correlation between a star's colour and its temperature. Furthermore, the experimental setup facilitates the exploration of the topic of colour addition, demonstrating to students how to replicate the colour of a star—a spectrum colour—by employing an RGB LED that emits only primary colours (red, green, and blue). The experiment utilised an Arduino microcontroller board in conjunction with RGB LEDs and an LCD display. The activity was conducted with 53 7th-grade students from a private school in Portugal results suggest a positive reception, indicating success in both motivational and cognitive aspects. The study presents a conceptual design of a wireless sensor network aimed to evaluating the SmartCity air quality in real-time. The sensor devices shall autonomously monitor flue gas temperatures, carbon monoxide (CO) and particulate matter concentrations ( P M 2.5 and P M 10 ). The measurement system shall consist of a GSM SIM module connected to an Arduino micro-controller. Based on a statistical analysis of the system nodes, a range of 1 to 4 nodes are recommended per hundred households to achieve an global emission accuracy of at least 80%. The emission analysis has shown a 17% savings on the daily average production of emissions. The model predicts a decrease of total amount of released emissions from 4,5 tonnes to 3,8 tonnes per ten thousand households. The acquired performance data and visibility improved daily regulation countermeasures, where a 50 kg decrease of CO per day is predicted per thousand households. In conclusion, the research has demonstrated benefits of monitoring SmartCity emissions via a wireless sensor network. Further research/design processes are recommended to evaluate the characteristics and trade-offs of the wireless, structural or electronic aspects of the emission monitoring system. The paper presents the essential theoretical elements related to the construction and operation of numerical control machines, starting from a study of the theoretical aspects related to the design of a CNC typewriter. The block diagrams of the machine, the interconnections between the component blocks and the operation of the whole system are highlighted. The paper also describes the implementation of the typewriter. It starts from a detailed diagram of the wiring and connections between the component elements, up to the presentation and commentary of how to create the program for the microcontroller used. Finally, the testing and operation of this CNC is detailed, from the design of the drawing to its actual realization, with the help of the designed and implemented assembly. CNC systems allow the repetitive production of the same parts, exactly the same and without deviations. Unlike a human operator who cannot execute two identical parts, the repeatability achieved by machines with numerical controls is clearly superior, so the reproducibility component is ensured. River water is essential for people's lives and environmental health. There is a need to manage river water to maintain river water quality. This research aims to develop a river water quality analysis system that is practical, easy, and capable of storage and processing using several sensors connected to a computer system. The tools used in this research are Arduino UNO R3 board and sensors. River water samples with various characteristics were taken from four spots of the Cikapundung River. The results showed that river water quality analysis can be done using sensor-based Arduino UNO R3. The temperature at the four spots ranges from 27-32oC and is included in the safe category for sanitation use. Judging from the turbidity factor, the turbidity value of river water is in the high category, namely 49.2-58.1 NTU, which is unsuitable for sanitary use. Regarding the TDS factor, the TDS range in river water is 150-222 ppm, indicating that river water is not polluted. Meanwhile, the pH value shows that the pH range of river water is alkaline and can be used for sanitation with a range of 7.93-8.16. This indicates that the water quality in the Cikapundung River that needs attention is the turbidity factor. To address the challenge of improving the understanding of chemistry concepts, particularly pH, this study explored the impact of integrating educational robotics on students’ motivation and learning outcomes. A total of 160 3rd-year middle school students from a public school in Meknes, Morocco, participated in the study, which was divided into an experimental group (n = 82) and a control group (n = 78). Student performance was evaluated through standardized tests, while motivation levels were gauged using a questionnaire. The findings indicated a significant increase in motivation among students in the experimental group compared to those in the control group. However, no significant differences in overall academic performance were detected between the two groups. These findings provide valuable insights for educators and curriculum developers, underscoring the importance of integrating innovative pedagogical approaches with traditional methods to enhance science education. This paper outlines the design and development of an advanced robotic system that integrates hardware implementation with theoretical simulation to address the need for versatile and user-friendly robotic solutions in various environments. Addressing the issue of limited adaptability in existing robotic systems, we propose a wireless, voice and gesture-controlled robot car with an integrated robotic arm capable of performing complex tasks such as line following, obstacle avoidance, object manipulation, and autonomous navigation over one-kilometer range. To improve operational efficiency and user involvement, this paper designs a multifunctional robotic platform that integrates user-friendly control interfaces with inexpensive, state-of-the-art sensor technologies. To achieve this, we integrate a variety of sensors, including ultrasonic sensors for precise distance measurement, infrared sensors for object detection and line following, an L298 motor driver for controlling geared motors, servo motors for controlling robotic arms, a flex sensor for claw control, and an mpu6050 accelerometer for gesture recognition. The system also uses a custom-made Bluetooth app for remote control, nRF24L01+ for long-range wireless control, and Arduino Mega and Nano for processing and control functions. The results demonstrate the robot functions well in dynamic conditions, and it can be used in hospitals to assist healthcare professionals, in restaurants for food delivery, and in industrial settings for object manipulation. The system's design proves robust in real-world scenarios, offering significant improvements in accessibility and operational efficiency. This study aligns with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 3 (Good Health and Well-being), 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), and 17 (Partnerships for the Goals). Arduino microcontrollers are used for a wide range of technological and biomedical applications, such as image classification, computer vision, brain–computer interaction and vision experiments. Here, we present a new cost-effective mini-device based on RGB LED flicker stimulation for the assessment of the chromatic temporal resolution of the visual function based on the concept of critical flicker fusion frequency (CFF). The assembly of the device and its testing in thirty young subjects demonstrate the steady white visual perception of a trichromatic flicker stimulus (mixture of red, green and blue stimuli) beyond the CFF. Macular function as measured by photo-stress recovery time (PRT) was found to be independent of the CFF measurements for red, green and blue lights. However, a statistical correlation was found between the contrast modulation for CFF for red and green stimuli and PRT. Finally, wavefront measurements demonstrate that high-order aberrations improve the temporal resolution of the visual function. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
