After introducing what is understood by teaching innovation and its requirements, various methodologies that can be applied in university and radiological teaching are presented, such as: the flipped classroom focuses on the student's previous study and the teacher's subsequent contribution to resolve doubts or highlight important aspects. Team learning or cooperative teaching allows learning among the students themselves. Problem-based or case-based learning encourages students, in teams or individually, to carry out structured learning based on learning objectives. Teaching based on games or simulation can facilitate knowledge acquisition playfully and practically. Personalized tutoring allows the transmission of knowledge in an individualized way. Purpose: To evaluate the benefits of computed tomography (CT)-guided percutaneous sympathicolysis with radiofrequency in patients with primary palmar hyperhidrosis (PPHH) in terms of safety, patient satisfaction, and short- and long-term efficacy., Materials and Methods: A total of 139 procedures in 108 patients (mean age, 29.89 y ± 10.94), including 50 men and 58 women, with PPHH and therapy-resistance of nonsurgical treatments were retrospectively analyzed. Treatment was performed bilaterally at T2, T3, and T4 levels, reaching 90°C during 8 minutes. Technical success, immediate efficacy, and presence of complications were analyzed. For follow-up, the Hyperhidrosis Disease Severity Scale was used to evaluate the hyperhidrosis before, at one month, and in the long-term through a survey of 42 patients. Patients' satisfaction and complications were also recorded., Results: The technical success rate was 98.56%. The increase in palmar skin temperature was 4.88°C ± 1.85. A total of 85.3% of participants had completely dry hands immediately after treatment. The mean follow-up time was 41.34 months (range, 6-62 mo). One month after treatment, the response rate was 77.38% (P < .001). At long-term follow-up, the response rate was 69.04% (P < .001). Two major complications were observed (1.8%), 52.38% of patients were satisfied, and 59.52% of patients presented compensatory hyperhidrosis at long-term follow-up., Conclusions: Percutaneous CT-guided sympathicolysis is a safe and effective technique for the treatment of PPHH and can be considered as a second choice in patients in whom other nonsurgical therapeutic options have failed, despite the compensatory hyperhidrosis rates., (Copyright © 2017 SIR. Introduction: To compare the clinical, analytical and graft maturation effects of two different platelet-rich plasma (PRP) preparations applied during anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction., Materials and Methods: A total of 150 patients with ACL disruption were included in the study. Arthroscopic ACL reconstruction with patellar tendon allograft was conducted on all knees using the same protocol. One hundred patients were prospectively randomised to either a group to receive double-spinning platelet-enriched gel (PRP) with leukocytes (n=50) or to a non-gel group (n=50). Finally, we included 50 patients treated with a platelet-rich preparation from a single-spinning procedure (PRGF Endoret(®) Technology) without leukocytes. Inflammatory parameters, including C-reactive protein (CRP) and knee perimeters (PER), were measured 24 hours and 10 days after surgery. Postoperative pain score (visual analogue score [VAS]) was recorded the day after surgery. Follow-up visits occurred postoperatively at 3, 6, and 12 months. The International Knee Documentation Committee scale (IKDC) was included to compare functional state, and MRI was conducted 6 months after surgery., Results: The PRGF group showed a statistically significant improvement in swelling and inflammatory parameters compared with the other two groups at 24 hours after surgery (p<0.05). The results did not show any significant differences between groups for MRI and clinical scores., Conclusions: PRGF used in ACL allograft reconstruction was associated with reduced swelling; however, the intensity and uniformity of the graft on MRI were similar in the three groups, and there was no clinical or pain improvement compared with the control group., Level of Evidence: II.

Baastrup's disease is not usually considered among the possible causes of low back pain in children. Classically, Baastrup's disease is characterized by degenerative phenomena secondary to friction between adjacent spinous processes, with sclerosis of the margins and decrease in the interspinous space. Baastrup's disease becomes more prevalent with age and is usually accompanied by degenerative changes in the vertebral column, such as lumbar facet hypertrophy or disc disease. Certain activities like dance or gymnastics can make Baastrup's disease more likely to appear at an earlier age. In children, Baastrup's disease can manifest in a different way, with increased interspinous spaces and bone remodeling. Evaluation plays a key role in both the educational process and in its results. The evaluation established in the regulations for the Spanish residency system (MIR) is a two-step process that aims to teach. These steps are: a) continuous evaluation by the tutor and specialists at the training unit and b) an annual review by the evaluating committee. The resident's handbook and evaluation sheets from the rotations are the tools used for this task. Other techniques for evaluation, such as 360-degree feedback, examinations (conventional, case-based, and/or Objective Structured Clinical Examination [OSCE]), checklists, reviewing reports, or public presentation, can also complement or enhance the official evaluation.
