Contemplating the subject in the context of work is not limited to a productivist action, or exclusively as an agent of change or transformation of its environment, as most studies of the economic and administrative sciences do. More than that, it involves the individual's perception as the subject of desire, fulfillment and pursuit, however, marked by loss, frustration, restlessness and emptiness. In this perspective, the purpose of this theoretical article is to analyze, from a multifaceted reading, especially in philosophical and psychosocial scope, boredom in contemporary organizations in the light of the advent and almost omnipotence and omnipresence of managerialist ideology in contemporary organizations. It is fundamental to conceive of boredom beyond malaise, it is sought to discuss it as a potential for resignification and reflection, as a mobilizing force of the desire to live. The reflections carried out in this theoretical essay indicate that it is not the escape or ignorance of boredom that will free man from his encounter with his existential emptiness. It is the valuation of boredom, which will allow maturity so that man can re-signify that which no longer brings more contentment to life. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
