Objective of the Study: The aim of our investigation was the study of the pathophysiology of the carotid artery in cases of nutritional stress in male atheroresistant Wistar rats., Materials and Methods: Were administered daily by gavage to experimental rats a high fat diet consisting of peanut oil, cholesterol (3%) and sodium cholate (1%). Throughout this experiment, we conducted monitoring of some biochemical parameters and the morpho-histopathology of the carotid cerebral artery. The results obtained are compared to those of control rats in the same experimental conditions., Results: We found that this fat diet resulted in experimental rats disruption of biochemical tests and tissular and cellular alterations in carotid wall. Indeed, the biochemical examination shows a significant increase of the parameters studied. Morphological examination revealed thickening of the carotid wall and histopathological examination of this artery, highlights the installation of a vascular remodeling from thickening of the intima-media to the installation of a probable atherosclerosis accompanied by a possible hyalinization and a net fibrosis., Conclusion: At the end of this study, although notes that our fat diet could cause a metabolic disorder that can cause multiple tissue and cell damage observed in cerebral artery "carotid" of atheroresistant rats., (Copyright © 2015 Elsevier Masson SAS. The writers analyse the operative results of 43 cases of oculo-motor paralysis aftermaths of the 4th, 6th and 3rd cranial pairs treated since 1985. The applying of muscular puckering, associated with a controlled or kept tenotomy, of muscular transplant, of "Fadenoperation" and of oblique surgery, allowed to obtain good results with suppression of diplopia, at least in the facing and in the lower glance, attenuation of ocular torticollis, disappearing of the ocular deviation, and restitution of a fusion area in primary position, within a more or less extended zone of space.

In stricto sensu cutaneous leishmaniasis from 2 to 5 p. 100 of the facial lesions are localized on the eye-lids, most often on the external corner. The pathologic pattern is comparable to what can be observed on the rest of the skin but the fragility of eye-lid gives a special risk of local spreading. The most common aspect is chalazion-like but ulcerous, phagedenic and cancer-like forms may be observed. Lacrymal ducts are sometimes involved. In muco-cutaneous leishmaniasis the lesions are more destructive and may lead to eye loss. The authors consider the diagnosis and the appropriate treatment.

Echinococcus taenia occurs in human accidentally after contamination by infected dust of dog. Although it may localize in all parts of the body as a hydatic cyst, liver, lung and kidney are the most frequent sites. Intra-orbital localization is rare since all statistical studies estimate it to be one per cent of orbital tumours. Using computerized axial tomography (C.A.T. Scanner) ten cases of intra-orbital hydatic cyst originating from Algiers, Tunis Hospitals and C.N.O. des Quinze-Vingts of Paris were studied. The inclusion of C.A.T. scanning in the orbital evaluation enables more positive preoperative diagnosis and facilitates the choice of the most efficient surgical approach.

Hydatid cysts of the orbit are relatively rare lesions. They usually present as a tumoral exophthalmia but may have a pseudo-malignant appearance. Diagnosis is based essentially on a needle puncture during the initial stages of the operation after dissecting out the tumor, the liquid obtained having a typical spring-water appearance. Treatment is surgical but complete extirpation of the cyst is not attempted, the proligerous membrane being ablated after applying formation to the cyst cavity. The approach is neurosurgical for tumors of the retrobulbar cone, and by Rollet's subaponeurotic for other localizations. Systematic puncture during the initial operative stage on orbital tumors is suggested in countries where hydatid disease is endemic.
