In the present work, lead‐free double perovskite material La2NiMnO6 is used as a light‐harvesting layer in device configuration of FTO/TiO2/LNMO/CuI/Au and simulates through solar cell capacitance simulator (SCAPS‐1D). The series resistance and operating temperature are varied from 0 to 6 Ω and 250 to 350 K respectively to investigate the device output under ambient atmospheric conditions. The designed perovskite solar cell (PSC) based device helps to optimize the chemical and physical parameter of PSC during the fabrication. The present study exhibits that the developed device can show maximum power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 23.07% at the device approach to zero resistance and further, at operation temperature 250 K the device has shown superior PCE 26.79%. Organic–inorganic metal halide‐based perovskite solar cell (PSC) is reaching more height day by day. Recent various efforts are applied by different researchers with experimental and theoretical studies to improve the device performance and stability of device. In the present work, MAPbI3‐based PSC device is stimulated to under its behavior with variation in the band‐gap of absorber and series resistance. The band‐gap of absorber is varied from 1.3 to 2.5 eV and it has found that the simulated exhibited superior PCE of 25.76% at band‐gap of 1.3 eV. Further, the variation in series resistance affects the device performance and found best device response under lower resistance. Additionally, the change in QE with variation in Rs is also analyzed. Multiferroic samples with composition (1-x)BiFeO3-(x)(Ba0.70Sr0.30)TiO3 (BFO-BST) were synthesized using a sol-gel route to study the effect of BST doping on structural, transport, and magnetic properties in BiFeO3 (BFO). X-ray diffraction studies with Rietveld analysis revealed that a phase transition occurred from rhombohedral (R3c) (0.0 ≤ × ≤ 0.15) to tetragonal (P4 mm) for x = 0.20 and nanocrystalline nature confirmed by transmission electron microscopy measurements. Piezoelectric properties improved as x increased from x = 0.0 (58 pC/N) to x = 0.20 (112 pC/N) increasing distortion in the crystal structure as evinced by Williamson-Hall analysis. Ferromagnetism was observed in doped BFO, different from the antiferromagnetic ordering in bulk BFO, indicating the noteworthy size effects and Fe-O-Fe bond angle variations in the magnetic ordering of BFO. An improvement in ferroelectric properties is observed with doping of BST compared to pristine BFO. Thermally activated conduction behavior occurred at low and high temperature regions as revealed by temperature dependent dc resistivity measurement. Effective improvements in dielectric response, meaning high dielectric constant with a low dielectric loss, were found in the doped samples. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Summary: Recently, Silver‐Bismuth based lead‐free double perovskite solar cells (PSCs) have established their significance as a possible substitute for lead‐based absorber in the PSCs due to its higher stability and nontoxic properties. In the present work, lead‐free double perovskite Cs2AgBiBr6 compound has been used as an absorber in the layered structure of PSC. This compound has been studied in details for its physical properties (electronic and optical) using the first principle calculation. Additionally, a lead‐free PSC is designed in SACPS‐1D simulation software with cell configuration of FTO/TiO2/Cs2AgBiBr6/Spiro‐OMeTAD/Au and studied for its various parameters useful for its applications in PSCs. Initially, the device is optimized under experimental counterpart to validate the simulation study and further various other material parameters such as band‐gap, defect density, thickness of absorber, series resistance and operating temperature are optimized to deliver improved performance. The final optimized lead‐free double PSCs exhibited power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 6.68%, open‐circuit voltage (VOC) of 0.90 V, current density (JSC) of 11.09 mA/cm2 and fill factor (FF) of 66.61%. Further, different ETLs such as TiO2, SnO2, ZnO, IGZO and PCBM are simulated with proposed device configuration and found TiO2 and SnO2 as suitable ETL candidate for Cs2AgBiBr6 based lead‐free PSCs.
