Abstract

BackgroundReducing the burden of death due to infection is an urgent global public health priority. Previous studies have estimated the number of deaths associated with drug-resistant infections and sepsis and found that infections remain a leading cause of death globally. Understanding the global burden of common bacterial pathogens (both susceptible and resistant to antimicrobials) is essential to identify the greatest threats to public health. To our knowledge, this is the first study to present global comprehensive estimates of deaths associated with 33 bacterial pathogens across 11 major infectious syndromes.MethodsWe estimated deaths associated with 33 bacterial genera or species across 11 infectious syndromes in 2019 using methods from the Global Burden of Diseases, Injuries, and Risk Factors Study (GBD) 2019, in addition to a subset of the input data described in the Global Burden of Antimicrobial Resistance 2019 study. This study included 343 million individual records or isolates covering 11 361 study-location-years. We used three modelling steps to estimate the number of deaths associated with each pathogen: deaths in which infection had a role, the fraction of deaths due to infection that are attributable to a given infectious syndrome, and the fraction of deaths due to an infectious syndrome that are attributable to a given pathogen. Estimates were produced for all ages and for males and females across 204 countries and territories in 2019. 95% uncertainty intervals (UIs) were calculated for final estimates of deaths and infections associated with the 33 bacterial pathogens following standard GBD methods by taking the 2·5th and 97·5th percentiles across 1000 posterior draws for each quantity of interest.FindingsFrom an estimated 13·7 million (95% UI 10·9-17·1) infection-related deaths in 2019, there were 7·7 million deaths (5·7-10·2) associated with the 33 bacterial pathogens (both resistant and susceptible to antimicrobials) across the 11 infectious syndromes estimated in this study. We estimated deaths associated with the 33 bacterial pathogens to comprise 13·6% (10·2-18·1) of all global deaths and 56·2% (52·1-60·1) of all sepsis-related deaths in 2019. Five leading pathogens-Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Streptococcus pneumoniae, Klebsiella pneumoniae, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa-were responsible for 54·9% (52·9-56·9) of deaths among the investigated bacteria. The deadliest infectious syndromes and pathogens varied by location and age. The age-standardised mortality rate associated with these bacterial pathogens was highest in the sub-Saharan Africa super-region, with 230 deaths (185-285) per 100 000 population, and lowest in the high-income super-region, with 52·2 deaths (37·4-71·5) per 100 000 population. S aureus was the leading bacterial cause of death in 135 countries and was also associated with the most deaths in individuals older than 15 years, globally. Among children younger than 5 years, S pneumoniae was the pathogen associated with the most deaths. In 2019, more than 6 million deaths occurred as a result of three bacterial infectious syndromes, with lower respiratory infections and bloodstream infections each causing more than 2 million deaths and peritoneal and intra-abdominal infections causing more than 1 million deaths.InterpretationThe 33 bacterial pathogens that we investigated in this study are a substantial source of health loss globally, with considerable variation in their distribution across infectious syndromes and locations. Compared with GBD Level 3 underlying causes of death, deaths associated with these bacteria would rank as the second leading cause of death globally in 2019; hence, they should be considered an urgent priority for intervention within the global health community. Strategies to address the burden of bacterial infections include infection prevention, optimised use of antibiotics, improved capacity for microbiological analysis, vaccine development, and improved and more pervasive use of available vaccines. Abstract

Empyema poses a significant global health concern, yet identifying responsible bacteria remains elusive. Recent studies question the efficacy of conventional pleural fluid culture in accurately identifying empyema-causing bacteria. The aim of this study was to compare diagnostic capabilities of next-generation sequencing (NGS) with conventional pleural fluid culture in identifying empyema-causing bacteria. Five databases (Google Scholar, Science Direct, Cochrane, Research Gate, and PubMed) were used to search studies comparing conventional pleural fluid culture with NGS for identifying empyema-causing bacteria using keywords. Positive results identified through conventional pleural fluid culture and NGS were extracted. In addition, bacterial profiles identified by NGS were also documented. Joanna-Briggs Institute (JBI) critical appraisal tool was employed to assess quality of included studies. Descriptive analysis was employed to present outcome of interests. From five databases, three studies, with 354 patients, were included. Findings from three studies showed that NGS outperformed conventional pleural fluid culture in detecting empyema-causing bacteria even in culture-negative samples. Moreover, dominant bacterial profiles identified through NGS included Streptococcus pneumoniae, Staphylococcus aureus, and anaerobic bacteria. In conclusion, NGS outperforms conventional pleural fluid culture in detection empyema-causing bacteria, yet further studies with larger samples and broader bacterial profiles are needed to increase confidence and urgency in its adoption over conventional pleural fluid culture.

Abstract

The Indonesian government's 30% Affirmative Action Policy addresses gender inequalities by bolstering women's representation in strategic positions. This research investigated the policy's effectiveness in achieving this goal and uncovered constraints hindering women's active participation in politics. Grounded in both gender equality and affectivity theories, the study pinpoints key issues of gender imbalance and investigates the policy's impact on organizational dynamics within the political sphere. A qualitative analysis, informed by a comprehensive literature review, suggested that the implementation of the 30% Affirmative Action Policy since the reform era has demonstrably contributed to an increase in female representation within the political sphere. However, the policy's effectiveness remains contingent upon addressing various challenges, including the persistent underrepresentation of women across both legislative and executive positions, where the 30% target has yet to be consistently achieved. Key influential factors in the implementation of this policy include the roles of the government, political parties, and society. Nevertheless, the policy is crucial in reshaping social norms regarding gender roles in politics. Overall, this article provided a comprehensive overview of the effectiveness of the 30% Affirmative Action Policy in achieving optimal gender representation in Indonesia. Policy implications and recommendations for enhancing the sustainability and effectiveness of this policy were also discussed to advance women's participation in various social and professional aspects of life in Indonesia. Menurut Direktorat Dirjen Pajak (DJP) kendala dalam memenuhi target penerimaan pajak dari tahun ke tahun adalah rendahnya tingkat kepatuhan wajib pajak wajib pajak. Kepatuhan sebagai variabel dependen di PT. Dipo Internasional Pahala Otomotif. Pajak adalah iuran rakyat kepada kas negara berdasarkan undang-undang dengan tidak memperoleh jasa timbal balik yang dapat langsung ditunjukkan dan digunakan untuk membayar pengeluaran negara. Metode penelitian ini adalah penelitian survei menggunakan regresi multivariat dan alat pengolahan data adalah SPSS versi 25. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh karyawan PT. Dipo Internasional Pahala Otomotif dengan pengambilan sampel menggunakan saran Roescoe dengan sampel sebanyak 50 Responden. Hasil pengujian hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa pengetahuan perpajakan dan sanksi perpajakan secara parsial berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kepatuhan wajib pajak orang pribadi pada PT Dipo Internasional Pahala Otomotif. Secara simultan variabel independen yang terdiri dari pengetahuan perpajakan dan sanksi perpajakan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kepatuhan wajib pajak orang pribadi pada PT Dipo Internasional Pahala Otomotif.

Abstract

Background : Perforation in normal pulp could be happened anytime. In sterile condition, direct pulp capping was the right therapy to maintain the vitality and pulp function. Direct pulp capping agent must contact with the pulp tissue. Generally, body had an immunologic respond with foreign body that contact with tissue. The respond could be inflammatory reaction. The used direct pulp capping agents were calcium hydroxide, and Mineral Trioxide Aggregate (MTA) which known as better agent but relatively expensive and difficult to obtain. So that, the alternative of MTA, Portland cement which was the same essential of MTA, was being developed. The aim of this study, to analized inflammatory reaction of the pulp tissue with direct pulpcapping agents calcium hydroxide, MTA, and Portland cement. Methods: Free caries M. Nemestrina’s posterior teeth were prepared to form pin point perforations on buccal surface of the crowns. The teeth were applied with one of the three capping agents. Teeth were filled and extracted. The extracted teeth were proceed into histopatological preparation slides to evaluate the inflammatic reaction. Results: The result showed no statistically significant differences of pulp inflammatory reaction between calcium hydroxide, MTA and Portland cement in 7, 14, 42, and 90 days. Conclusion: The inflammatory reaction of pulp tissue of the three pulp capping agent (calcium hydroxide, MTA, and PC) were insignificant different.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media permainan edukatif MIPAN (Mading Pohon Hak dan Kewajiban) berbasis cooperative learning tipe make a match pada materi hak dan kewajiban siswa kelas III SD yang valid menurut ahli materi dan media praktis bagi siswa dan guru serta efektif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Pada penelitian ini menerapkan model pengembangan ADDIE yang terdiri dari lima tahapan yaitu Analyze Design Development Implementation Evaluation. Metode yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data pada penelitian ini yaitu wawancara angket observasi serta tes. Melalui tahapan tersebut didapatkan hasil validasi materi sebesar 92 85% validasi media 97 31% kepraktisan 93 82% dan signifikansi uji Paired Sample T-test adalah 0 000. Melihat dari hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa media permainan edukatif MIPAN berbasis cooperative learning tipe make a match pada materi hak dan kewajiban sisw kelas III SD sangat valid sangat praktis dan efektif meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh earnings, book value of equity, book tax difference dan hierarki nilai wajar terhadap tingkat relevansi nilai. Penelitian ini menggunakan variabel independen yaitu earnings, book value of equity, book tax difference dan hierarki nilai wajar dan variable dependen yaitu relevansi nilai. Sumber data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data sekunder. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah perusahaan manufaktur yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia tahun 2018-2021. Teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu teknik purposive sampling dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 181, namun hanya 44 data yang bisa diolah setelah seleksi data. Teknik analisa yang digunakan yaitu analisis regresi linear berganda yang diolah dengan bantuan Eviews 12. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa (1) earnings berpengaruh terhadap relevansi nilai. (2) book value of equity berpengaruh terhadap relevansi nilai. (3) book tax difference berpengaruh terhadap relevansi nilai. 40. Efficacy of pretomanid-containing regiments for drug-resistant tuberculosis: A systematic review and meta-analysis of clinical trials

Abstract

Concerns regarding the rise of drug-resistant tuberculosis (DR-TB) infections and the need for new drugs with shorter treatment time and fewer side effects have been voiced by the World Health Organization (WHO). The WHO revised its guideline to treat multi-drug resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB) with a 6-month course of BPaLM (bedaquiline, pretomanid, linezolid and moxifloxacin) in 2022. However, a thorough study and meta-analysis of available evidence is required due to the limited confidence of the evidence confirming the effectiveness of pretomanid-containing regiments. The aim of this systematic review and meta-analysis was to evaluate the effectiveness of pretomanid-containing regiments in treating DR-TB patients. Data from six search engines were searched using inclusion criteria based on the PICOS framework. The keywords of pretomanid and tuberculosis or their alternatives were used. Using RoB2 Cochrane risk-of-bias tool for randomized clinical trials, data were independently extracted and the quality of the data was evaluated. Odds ratio (OR) and heterogeneity tests were used and the findings were presented in ORs and forest plots. A total of four studies with 237 patients was included in the final analysis and 204 (86%) patients had favorable outcome (cured) and 33 (14%) was not cured. Pretomanid-containing regimen (OR: 46.73; 95%CI: 11.76–185.7) and BPaLM/BPaL (OR: 41.67; 95%CI: 8.86–196.73) regimens were associated with favorable outcome (cured). This meta-analysis indicates that the pretomanid-containing regimen and the BPaLM/BPaL regimen could increase the chance to have favorable outcome in DR-TB patients.

Abstract

Dosen Pembimbing Akademik (DPA) adalah seorang dosen yang diberi tugas khusus di samping mengajar juga untuk mengelola status mahamahasiswa tertentu. Adapun peran-peran dosen pembimbing akademik terdiri dari: pengelola kelas, organisator, fasilitator, pembimbing, informator, dan motivator. Minat merupakan suatu kondisi yang terjadi apabila seseorang melihat ciri-ciri atau arti sementara situasi yang dihubungkan dengan keinginan dan kebutuhannya sendiri. Adapun tiga faktor yang mendasari timbulnya minat antara lain: faktor dorongan dalam, faktor motivasi sosial, dan faktor emosional. Dalam penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana peranan DPA dalam meningkatkan minat belajar mahamahasiswa Regular Glory ’21 di Politeknik Cendana. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan mengambil seluruh populasi sebagai sampel yaitu sebanyak 20 orang dengan teknik sampling jenuh. Dengan hasil analisis data pada uji koefisien korelasi didapatkan 0,986. Untuk koefisien determinasi, hasil yang diperoleh dari peranan dosen pembimbing akademik dalam mempengaruhi minat belajar mahamahasiswa sebesar 97,2% dan sisanya sebesar 2,8% dipengaruhi oleh faktor-faktor lain. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah ditemukan adanya pengaruh yang signifikan antara peranan dosen pembimbing akademik dalam meningkatkan minat belajar mahamahasiswa.

Hasil penelitian ini dengan menggunakan Rasio Likuiditas yang terdiri dari Current Ratio, Quick Ratio dan Cash Ratio. Current Ratio tahun 2016-2020 dikategorikan “Sehat”, Quick Ratio tahun 2016-2020 dikategorikan “Sehat”, kemudian Cash Ratio tahun 2016-2019 dikategorikan “Sehat”, dan ditahun 2020 mengalami penurunan dan dikategorikan ”Cukup Sehat”. Rasio Solvabilitas dengan menggunakan Debt to Asset Ratio dan Debt  to Equity Ratio. Debt to Asset Ratio tahun 2016 diketegorikan “Kurang Sehat”, tahun 2017-2020 dikategorikan ‘Tidak Sehat”. Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui aktivitas kehidupan komunitas nelayan ditinjau dalam tiga aspek yaitu aktivitas sosial, aktivitas budaya dan aktivitas ekonomi. Artinya, penelitian dimaksudkan untuk melihat rangkaian aktivitas yang dilakukan oleh komunitas nelayan yang ada di Desa Masaloka Selatan. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi kehidupan masyarakat pesisir dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan melalui beberapa tahap yaitu reduksi data, display data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Dari hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Dari sisi budaya, komunitas nelayan adalah multietnis. Interaksi yang terjadi antar warga ditopang oleh keberadaan rumah warga yang cukup rapat, kesamaan mata pencaharian, dan kepemilikan komunitas secara bersama. Komunitas nelayan mempunyai karakteristik sosial tersendiri di dalam kehidupan masyarakat seperti nelayan mempunyai solidaritas dan etos kerja yang tinggi. Dari sisi ekonomi hasil tangkapan nelayan masih jauh dari memadahi untuk memenuhi kebutuhan hidupnya. Hal ini disebabkan karena minimnya modal yang dimiliki nelayan, tekanan dari pemilik modal, sistem bagi hasil yang tidak adil, perdagangan atau pelelangan ikan yang tidak transparan (dikuasai tengkulak) dan otoritas tidak punya wibawa untuk mengatur dan menegakkan aturan. Serta pola atau budaya kerja yang masih apa adanya. Kondisi kemiskinan yang dialami nelayan menyebabkan mereka rentan konflik dan hanya menjadi objek.

44. Perilaku Agresif di Kalangan Pemuda (Studi di Desa Wakinamboro Kecamatan Siompu Kabupaten Buton Selatan)

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Kecamatan Siompu Desa Wakinamboro Kabupaten Buton Selatan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah (1) Untuk mengidentifikasi faktor yang mengakibatkan munculnya perilaku agresif dikalangan pemuda terhadap masyarakat di Desa Wakinamboro Kecamatan Siompu Kabupaten Buton Selatan. (2) Untuk mengetahui dampak dari perilaku agresif pemuda di Desa Wakinamboro Kecamatan Siompu Kabupaten Buton Selatan. Metode penelitian ini yaitu menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan datanya yaitu observasi, wawancara serta dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian di lapangan menunjukan bahwa (1) Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa faktor penyebab perilaku agresif dikalangan pemuda adalah akibat adanya rasa frustasi karena banyaknya kebutuhan yang harus dipenuhi, adanya profokasi dan juga bisa didasari dari tindakan agresif seseorang, lingkungan pergaulan yang diakibatkan dari kecenderungan seseorang dalam mengkonsumsi minuman beralkohol hingga mabuk dan sikap kepribadian diakibatkan dari sifatnya amarah serta proses perilaku agresif. (2) Dampak yang di akibatkan dari perilaku agresif ini adalah adanya suasana yang kurang nyaman bagi masyarakat seperti adanya kebiasaan nongkrong hingga larut malam tanpa mengelan tempat dan waktu. Dampak berikutnya adalah terjadinya perilaku menyimpang yaitu terjadinya pelanggaran terhadap norma-norma sosial maupun norma agama seperti kebiasaan mengkonsumsi minuman beralkohol yang bisa menjurus pada kericuan dan perkelahian antar pemuda maupun kelompok pemuda lainnya.

49. Climate Change-Induced Regional Landslide Hazard and Exposure Assessment for Aiding Climate Resilient Road Infrastructure Planning: A Case Study in Bagmati and Madhesh Provinces, Nepal

Abstract

Nepal’s hilly and mountainous regions are highly susceptible to landslides triggered by extreme precipitations. The prevalence of such landslides has increased due to climate change-induced extreme hydro-meteorological conditions. These recurring landslides have significantly impacted the road transport infrastructure, which is the economic lifeline for cities and socio-economic mobility of rural communities in the hilly and mountainous regions of the country. This study modelled extreme rainfall scenarios for the current 1976–2005 baseline and future horizons of 2030, 2050, and 2080 to develop high-resolution 1 km × 1 km mean precipitation datasets under RCP4.5 and RCP8.5. Based on these extreme precipitation scenarios, we developed high-resolution landslide hazard models adopting integrated weighted index by combining the Frequency Ratio (FR) and Analytical Hierarchical Process (AHP) methods using multi-variate factors. The multi-variate factors included three terrain parameters—slope, aspect, and elevation; two soil parameters—lithology and soil type; two Euclidean distance parameters from the likely sources—distance from the lineaments and distance from the stream/river; an anthropogenic parameter—land use; and the climate parameter—the mean annual rainfall for four-time horizons and two RCPs. These parameters were spatially modelled and combined using the weighted overlay method to generate a landslide hazard model. As demonstration case studies, the landslide hazard models were developed for Bagmati and Madhesh provinces. The models were validated using the Receiver Operating Characteristic curve (ROC) approach, which showed a satisfactory 81–86% accuracy in the study area. Spatial exposure analysis of the road network assets under the Strategic Road Network (SRN) was completed for seven landslide hazard scenarios. In both Bagmati and Madhesh provinces, the exposure analysis showed that the proportion of road sections exposed to landslide hazard significantly increases for the future climate change scenarios compared to the current baseline scenario.

50. POLA ASUH ORANG TUA TERHADAP PERILAKU TEMPERTANTRUM PADA ANAK

Abstract

Latar Belakang Masalah: Temper tantrum adalah luapan emosi yang meledak-ledak dan tidak terkontrol. Perilaku tantrum yang intensitasnya terlalu tinggi pada anak tidak boleh dibiarkan karena akan mengakibatkan anak tidak mampu mengendalikan dan meluapkan emosi secara wajar dan tidak baik bagi perkembangan emosi anak. Dan bentuk pola asuh orang tua yang di terapkan kepada anak dari kecil sangat erat hubungannya dengan kepribadian anak setelah menjadi dewasa.Tujuan : Mengetahui hubungan antara pola asuh orang tua dengan perilaku temper tantrum pada anak usia prasekolah (3-5 tahun) di Kelurahan Keranggan Kota Tangerang Selatan Tahun 2020.Metode: penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif, study cross sectional dengan uji Chi-Square dilanjutkan dengan Uji Fixer’s Exact. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 42 responden dengan menggunakan tekhnik probability sampling.Hasil: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan responden yang menerapkan pola asuh demokratis dan tidak demokratis memiliki presentase yang sama yaitu masing-masing 21 responden (50,0%). Pada 21 responden yang menerapkan pola asuh demokratis sebagian besar memiliki anak dengan perilaku temper tantrum aktif yaitu sebanyak 13 orang (61,9%), sedangkang pada 21 responden yang menerapkan pola asuh tidak demokratis seluruhnya memiliki anak dengan perilaku temper tantrum. Hasil uji cross sectional terdapat 2 cell yang mempunyai nilai harapan yang kurang dari 5 sehingga peneliti menggunakan Uji Fixer’s Exact Test dengan nilai p value adalah 0,003 atau p 0,05.Simpulan: Ada hubungan antara pola asuh orang tua dengan perilaku temper tantrum
