Mathematical Physics ,High Energy Physics - Theory - Abstract
We consider a rather general type of matrix model, where the matrix M represents a Hamiltonian of the interaction of a bosonic system with a single fermion. The fluctuations of the matrix are partly given by some fundamental randomness and partly dynamically, even quantum mechanically. We then study the homolumo-gap effect, which means that we study how the level density for the single-fermion Hamiltonian matrix M gets attenuated near the Fermi surface. In the case of the quenched randomness (the fundamental one) dominating the quantum mechanical one we show that in the first approximation the homolumo gap is characterized by the absence of single-fermion levels between two steep gap boundaries. The filled and empty level densities are in this first approximation just pushed, each to its side. In the next approximation these steep drops in the spectral density are smeared out to have an error-function shape. The studied model could be considered as a first step towards the more general case of considering a whole field of matrices - defined say on some phase space - rather than a single matrix., Comment: 15 pages, 2 figures; v2. substantial improvements, published in IJMPA

High Energy Physics - Theory - Abstract
We present a method for solving BPS equations obtained in the collective-field approach to matrix models. The method enables us to find BPS solutions and quantum excitations around these solutions in the one-matrix model, and in general for the Calogero model. These semiclassical solutions correspond to giant gravitons described by matrix models obtained in the framework of AdS/CFT correspondence. The two-field model, associated with two types of giant gravitons, is investigated. In this duality-based matrix model we find the finite form of the $n$-soliton solution. The singular limit of this solution is examined and a realization of open-closed string duality is proposed., Comment: 17 pages, JHEP cls; v2: final version to appear in JHEP, 2 references added, physical motivation and interpretation clarified

High Energy Physics - Theory - Abstract
Weak-strong coupling duality relations are shown to be present in the quantum-mechanical many-body system with the interacting potential proportional to the pair-wise inverse-squared distance in addition to the harmonic potential. Using duality relations we have solved the problem of families interacting by the inverse-squared interaction. Owing to duality, the coupling constants of the families are mutually inverse. The spectrum and eigenfunctions are determined mainly algebraically owing to O(2,1) dynamical symmetry. The constructed Hamiltonian for families and appropriate solutions are of hierarchical nature., Comment: 10 pages

High Energy Physics - Theory - Abstract
We consider a large-N Chern-Simons theory for the attractive bosonic matter (Jackiw-Pi model) in the Hamiltonian collective-field approach based on the 1/N expansion. We show that the dynamics of low-lying density excitations around the ground-state vortex configuration is equivalent to that of the Sutherland model. The relationship between the Chern-Simons coupling constant lambda and the Calogero-Sutherland statistical parameter lambda_s signalizes some sort of statistical transmutation accompanying the dimensional reduction of the initial problem., Comment: 10 pages, 2 figures

structured program ,weight loss ,obesity - Abstract
Introduction: There are many benefits of weight loss: even small reductions has a profound impact on the health of obese people and their risk of future disease. Methods: Data from 58 obese patients (13 men, 45 women), mean age 45 years (20-68) were analysed. They attended structured weight loss program at the Obesity Treatment Centre at University Hospital Centre Zagreb accredited as Croatian Obesity Treatment Referral Centre and EASO Collaborating Centre for Obesity Management. 5-day program includes daily consultations with a multidisciplinary healthcare team. The team leads experienced endocrinologist-diabetologist and nurse- educator, includes nutritionist, physiotherapist, psychiatrist, psychologists who provide psychological support and facilitate behaviour modifications with other subspecialists. At the baseline and after 3 months anthropometric values (height, weight, BMI) as well as body composition measured by bioelectrical impedance analysis (fat mass, muscle mass) were estimated. Patients filled out screening instruments examining personality traits, coping styles, subjective well-being, depression and anxiety symptoms. Results: Baseline mean body mass was 125 kg (78- 238), BMI was 44.2 kg/ m2 (30-66), fat mass 59.4 kg (25.1-120.4), muscle mass 61.4 kg (43.8- 117) ; after 3 months mean body mass was 119 kg (72.8- 197.3), BMI 42.1 kg/ m2 (27.9-64.4), fat mass 53.6 kg (23.6-103.7), muscle mass 62.3 kg (43.7-107.7). Statistical analyses showed significant decrease in body weight, BMI and body fat mass after 3 months (p = 0.000), but no significant difference in muscle mass (p = 0.969). Patients were divided into two groups ; those who did not lose any weight (≤1 kg) were considered non-responders, others were considered responders. Thirteen patients (22%) were non-responders and 45 patients (78%) were responders. Mean weight loss of responders was 6.2% (1-38). Conclusion: According to FDA Guidance for developing products for weight management the product is effective if there is a statistically significant decrease in body weight of ≥5% beyond the placebo effect or at least 35% of patients lose ≥5% of their body weight at 3 months. Overall response to our program is effective during the 3 months follow-up period. It is fulfilling criteria for weight management products without pharmacotherapy. The weight loss corresponds to fat mass with preserved muscle mass. There are also positive changes in self-esteem, body image and quality of life. Joining a group of unknown individuals can be intimating, but group therapy provides benefits that individual therapy may not ; group acts as a support network where other members help to come up with specific ideas for improving a difficult situation or life challenge.

debljina ,gubitak tjelesne mase ,strukturirani program - Abstract
Rezultati našeg programa ispunjavju kriterije FDAe i bez farmakoterapije tijekom praćenja kroz 3 mjeseca.

- Abstract
This review paper organizes and summarizes the literature regarding climate change impacts on future building energy demand. The approaches used for the creation of future weather climate and building renovation scenarios, as well as building energy modeling at different scales, are evaluated. In general, it can be concluded that future heating demand could decrease (7–52%), while cooling demand could increase significantly (up to 1050%). The decrease/increase rates varied significantly depending on the climate and case study building(s) considered, with buildings and building energy systems located in extreme climates being more sensitive to such changes. The main uncertainty of the predicted increase/decrease rates can be assigned to climate models and forecasted weather data. Nonetheless, such forecast and risk assessment are necessary for sustainable development of urban environment and associated energy systems. Further development of dynamic large-scale building energy simulation tools is required, along with the development of large-scale building renovation measures and strategies that take into account additional aspects (such as economic and societal). Moreover, continuous efforts are required in further climate models' improvement and uncertainty reduction. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

From the practical experience, the electrical power grid in the coastal areas quickly shows sensitivity due to various disturbances. This paper analyses the investment in a 20(10) kV submarine power cable between the island Šolta and Drvenik Veli, in order to increase the power supply. To avoid as many weak spots in the electrical power grid as possible specialized application was used to analyse the current and future situation. Due to the increased power consumption, especially during summer months because of increase in the tourism season, for which some of the existing cables, will no longer be able to provide secure power supply and reliability, it is necessary to lay a new submarine power cable to increase power supply. The substation (SS) 35/10 kV Marina is radially connected, and as a vital object of the subarea of Marina the N-1 criteria is not satisfied. The paper also provides data for reliability indices such as SAIFI (System Average Interference Duration Index), and CAIDI (Customer Average Interference Duration Index) which shows how statistics of operational events contribute to distribution network optimization, and how proper network planning can increase availability of the electrical power grid. Two scenarios were considered and analysed. The first scenario shows the current network state of, which contains a 10 kV model network powered by the substation 35/10 kV Marina. The second scenario shows the future network state after the submarine power cable between the island of Šolta and Drvenik Veli is activated, and its benefits to the electrical power grid. After the construction of the SS 20(10)/0.4 kV Drvenik Veli 6 (Krknjaši) on the island Drvenik Veli there is a possibility to connect SS 20(10)/0.4 kV Maslinica 2 (which is located on the island of Šolta) with SS 20(10)/0.4 kV Drvenik Veli 6 (Krknjaši) with a submarine power cable. An overview of technical challenges of planned preparations and construction procedure of the submarine power cable is also shown. Furthermore, with this connection, a two sided and more reliable power supply to the island group Drvenik Veli and Drvenik Mali would be possible, as well to a good part of Vinišće, and Marina, which would fulfil the n-1 criteria and increase the power supply of these areas. Narrow-leaved ash, plus trees, molecular diversity - Abstract
Research into the molecular diversity was conducted in two clonal seed orchards (Čazma, Nova Gradiška) on 92 plus trees belonging to the two seed regions (seed region upper Sava river, middle Croatia and Kupa river and seed region middle part of the Sava river). Genetic analysis was revealed with eight microsatellite markers (Femsatl 4, Femsatl 8, Femsatl 10, Femsatl 11, Femsatl 16, M2-30, FR639485, FR646655). The aim of the study was to determine the level of molecular diversity of narrow-leaved ash from this two seed regions. Since the plus trees go through a very narrow phenotypic selection the comparison of the obtained genetic parameters from this study and with other research in natural stands concluded that there were no significant interpopulation variability. The highest genetic variability belongs to the intrapopulation level of genetic structure. Bayesian analysis of the population structure of selected genotypes with consideration to the genomic share can not be clearly separated into two seed regions. They are artificially demarcated based on the ecological conditions in which the narrow-leaved ash populations exists, but the obtained genetic structure and variability of selected plus trees indicate their individual variability.

Zaštita šuma, Poplavne šume, Poljski jasen, Kukci, Gljive, Krupna divljač, Sitni glodavci, Prostorne i vremenske analize - Abstract

Salix clones, short rotation forestry, marginal lands, Croatia - Abstract
Willows, compared with other species, are the most suitable for biomass production in short rotations because of their very strong growth during the first years. Nowadays, in Croatia, a large number of selected and registered willow clones are available. The main objective of the research should be to find genotypes which, with minimum nutrients, would produce the maximum quantity of biomass. In breeding the White Willow (Salix alba L.) and Chinese Willow (Salix matsudana Koidz.), methods of intraspecific and interspecific hybridization and back cross have been used and by cloning of plus variants from the hybrid families it was possible to make a selection of new genotypes that are suitable for biomass production. Clonal test of the arborescent willows include the autochthonous White Willow (Salix alba), interracial hybrids of the autochthonous White Willow and the English ‘cricket’ Willow (S. alba var. calva), interspecies hybrids (S. matsudana × S. alba), as well as multispecies hybrids of willows. The average production of dry biomass (DM ha-1 a-1) per hectare was estimated in regard to the clone, survival, spacing and the number of shoots per stump.

U tri godine istraživanja (2012., 2014. i 2015.) praćene su fenološke karakteristike listanja poljskog jasena (Fraxinus angustifolia Vahl) u klonskoj sjemenskoj plantaži Nova Gradiška.

Nutrition status of the ash host could play an important role in resistance to the Hymenoscyphus fraxineus according to obtained preliminary results on three types of agar medium with leaf extracts from native Fraxinus species. Experiment revealed the fastest growth of the pathogen isolates on agar enriched with F. excelsior leaf extract, followed by the agar with F. ornus leaf extract, and the slowest growth was obtained on the agar with F. angustifolia leaf extracts. Study on narrow- leaved ash resistance to the pathogen revealed significant differences between nine tested clones, among which the clones BJ25, BJ38, NG03 and NG31 turned out to be the less susceptible to the H. fraxineus. Significant differences were obtained also between genotypes in clonal seed orchards for leaf unfolding parameter. Earlier leaf unfolding was obtained in clone NG03 which revealed smaller necrosis in inoculation experiment, while the clone NG55 revealed later leaf unfolding and longer necrosis lengths, leading to conclusion that phenology could play an important role in narrow-leaved ash clones' resistance to H. fraxineus.

In Croatia, narrow-leaved ash (Fraxinus angustifolia Vahl) is distributed in the Pannonian lowland area, along the rivers with pedunculate oak (Quercus robur) in mixed stands. Greatest portion of its genetic variability is localized in the region of Sava river (area of 30 000 ha) where was in 2005 established clonal seed orchard with 56 clones (Forest Range Office Nova Gradiška). The grafts were planted with 4 × 4 m spacing in the area of 3.50 ha (Figure 1.). Clonal seed orchard have been regularly maintained by pruning and with other agrotechnical treatments from the moment of establishment. Pomotechnical treatments are used and successful pomology techniques is maintaining the balance between the vegetative and generative activity. Phenological seasonal rhythm has recently receives importance and with better understanding of leaf phenophases we will be able to more precisely define response to climate change.

The aim of investigation was to determine the morphological differences between the hairy type of European black poplar (Populus nigra subsp. caudina) and the typical type from the riparian forests populations as well as between the river systems. Hairy black poplar spreads in a mosaic pattern across the Submediterranean climatic type along the River Neretva and the typical European black poplar is growing on alluvial soils along large rivers in the territory of Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Samples for leaf morphometric analysis were collected in 17 natural populations of European black poplar along six rivers in Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

This paper contains an analysis of the voltage drops and the protection range when there is a three-phase consumer connected to the electrical grid with load of 45 kW at the electrical grid. When there are many customers that are connected at the end of a radial feeder in low-voltage network it significantly damages voltage conditions as well as the proper functioning of protection range. In order to accomplish the criteria for permitted voltage deviation of ±10 % and different proper criteria functioning of protection range it is necessary to analyze the low-voltage network and intervene in the construction or reconstruction of the low voltage network to function properly after connecting a new consumer. This paper analyzes the connection of the above mentioned consumer at the electrical grid from the substation 20(10)/0.4 kV "Vrsine 5" at the area of Elektrodalmatia Split. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The assessment of poplar clone productivity, with the goal of selection of elite genotypes for diverse ecological conditions, is the main pillar of tree breeding. The significance of GEI (genotype x environment interaction) in the volume stock production is the consequence of differences among genotypes on different sites or the changes in the relative ranking of genotypes [1]. Biotope- related stress is mostly linked to the low availability of elementary plant requirements, such as water and nutrients. There are three main factors that determine a success in poplar production: well aerated soil, favourable water supply and adequate mineral nutrition [2]. In the last decade the problems in management of poplar plantations and cultures (low increment, dieback of trees, difficult reforestation) in eastern Slavonia are becoming more common. As these are concurrent with the significant changes in the regime of floods and groundwater table, it is logical to assume that these phenomena are related. The stress caused by drought is characterized by loss of water, reduced water potential and leaf turgor loss with stomatal closure, which leads to a halt photosynthesis, disruption of metabolism and ultimately to the death of plants [3]. The growth and development of fast-growing trees such as poplars is dependent on the significant water consumption – for poplar plantations about 500 mm for a vegetation season [4], significantly more than the autochtonous forest vegetation. The understanding of morphological-anatomical and physiological changes caused by the lack of water can be used as a tool in tree breeding selection [5]. Optimum nutrition of fast-growing trees – given the adequate climatic conditions, water supply and soils free from toxic substances – is the most important prerequisite for high and lasting yields [6]. One of the most important goals of poplar selection is finding the genotypes that can produce high volume stock with a lower nutrient consumption. While for cultivation on most productive and optimal sites the genotypes with high demand for nutrients and water are most interesting, but selection of genotypes with smaller requirements will benefit the efficiency of poplar cultures on less productive sites [2]. The selection of poplar genotypes with a high adaptation value (high stress tolerance and potential production) in various stand conditions is the main goal of selection of poplar clones in eastern Slavonia. The reasons of recent poor performance of poplar clones in eastern Slavonia cannot be attributed to only one factor, but to various interactions of water availability and nutrients to plants that are specific for different siites. To better determine the causes for low increment, tree dieback and problematic reforestation of poplar cultures in eastern Slavonia this research should be directed towards a more detaild determination of water availability to the roots of a larger number of poplar clones in comparison with their nutritional status, preferably through several vegetational seasons, so as to encompass the dynamics of floods, soil water table and the influence of meteorological parameters. Since 'M1' and 'S 1-8' genotypes have modest yields both in high- and low-stress environments, future research should be based on a larger number of poplar clones.

Kako bi se smanjio rizik monoklonskog uzgoja i povećala stabilnost ekosustava, prednost ćemo dati uzgoju smjese od pet klonova divergentne genetske konstitucije., Research into phenotypic stability, adaptability and productivity of poplar clones at younger plantation was conducted in the lower course of the River Drava and the tributary of the River Danube in the eastern Croatia. In this area, the construction of river infrastructure has led to severe changes in the water regime. It is for this reason that the selected poplar clones should be adapted to the specific new condition of low groundwater levels. The assessment of genetic parameters, productivity and phenotypic stability for 14 poplar clones at plantation age of 2+5 years were evaluated in five clonal trials in the area of Eastern Croatia. The tests were set up at planting distances of 6 × 6 m randomized with 16 plants per block and four repetitions. At the moment of experimental plot establishment, the planting material was 1/2 and 2/3 years old. Statistically significant interclonal variability in production and survival was found in particular clonal tests. Mean survival in the clonal test established with plants aged 1/2 years was 72 % on average, whereas it was 95 % in the test with plants aged 2/3 years, which suggests that using of planting material at age 2/3 years is much more successful. Research on adaptability and genotype × environment interaction were conducted for the same eight poplar clones in three trials. From a silvicultural standpoint, the most suitable clones for generating optimal modifications, as a rule, were those of high phenotypic instability. Their cultivation is justified on optimal sites, as well as on less favourable sites when are provided agrotechnical measures and applied adequate protection measures. Based on the size of regression coefficients and regression analysis, it can be concluded that the tested clones can be divided, in terms of phenotypic stability and productivity, into three groups: a) phenotypically stable clones of medium productivity and a tendency to adapt to all environments (´I-214´, ´M 1´, ´S 6-36´, ´S 6-20´; b) moderately stable clones, of moderate productivity which manifest a tendency to adapt to all environments (‘710’, ´Bl Constanzo´, ´Pannonia´); and c) phenotypically very instable clones of high production capacity, with specific adaptation to optimal sites (´S 1-8´). Levels of the genetic control for the growing stock, heritability values (h2) and genetic gain (∆G) were assessed on the basis of selecting five or one of the best clones. The expected genetic gain was compared with the obtained experimental data. Assessment of the heritability values (h2) ranged from 0.40 to 0.90, which indicates that the traits of production and adaptability is under a high degree of genetic control. The obtained genetic gain (∆G) in growing stock production for the best five selected clones was somewhat higher than expected and ranged from 15.30 to 45.12 %, whereas it was between 30.88 and 81.03 % for one best selected clone. In order to minimize the risk of cultivating one clone (monoclonal culture) and increase plantations stability, we will favour the cultivation of a mixture of five clones of divergent genetic constitution. The results of this research confirm that even at such a young plantation age the quality of a particular habitat has conditioned modifications in average clone values of growing stock and survival. They also indicate the amount of production to be expected from the mixture of these clones or from the cultivation of a particular clone.

Crkvena pučka popijevka biva sve popularnija izvan crkava. Potaknuti ovim smotrama i pojedina kulturno- umjetnička društva samostalno organiziraju prigodne koncerte crkvenog pučkog pjevanja ponajprije o Božiću, Uskrsu, ali i o drugim blagdanima i sličnim prigodama.

No, on je ipak u prvom redu svećenik, a sve svoje raznolike interese podvrgava prvenstveno svećeničkoj, pastirskoj službi liturga i propovjednika. Dimitrija, Solunskog i Sirmijskog, u prilog potonjeg.
